Gold Spike Hotel and Casino - Las Vegas

Das Zimmer war renoviert und modern eingerichtet. Leider gab es keine Eismaschine auf dem Flur (wie üblich), Eis konnte man nur an der Bar holen. Die Jalousie macht null dunkel und mit dem ersten Sonnenstrahl ist das Zimmer taghell. Länger schlafen ist daher nur mit Augenmaske möglich ;-) Wegen dem Las Vegas Bikefest waren nur begrenzt Parkplätze zur […] Verfügung. Das Casino ist sehr überschaubar. Nur einen Block von der Freemont Street entfernt, würde hier auf jeden Fall wieder übernachten. Mehr

Wir hatten das Delux Zimmer, was zwar Modern aber sonst garnicht Delux war, denn das Zimmer war klein, schlecht geschnitten und mit einem kleinem Fenster versehen, dass sich nicht aufmachen lässt. Das Hotel ist soweit ok, nur die beiden alten Fahrstühle sind gümmelig und langsam. Um zum Pool zu kommen muss man aus dem Casino Gebäude raus und über dem […] Parkplatz laufen. Parkplatz ist aber das größte Problem, es ist immer voll, also kann es schon vorkommen das man Block weiter das Auto abstellen muss. Das Positive, Internet hat stehts sehr schnell und zuverlässig funktioniert und gute TV Kanal Auswahl. Fazit, wenn man für das gleiche Geld ein 3 Sterne Hotel oder etwas näher am Strip bekommt, sollte man es nehmen. Mehr

Unser Aufenthalt im Gold Spice war nicht sehr erfreulich.Die Zimmer hatten keine Safe und keinen Kühlschrank was sehr schwierig war da ich Insulin bei hatte was gekühl werden musste.Auch der Pool war nicht vorhanden.Da unser Zimmer direkt neben dem Personalraum lag war es auch sehr laut.Werden in dieses Hotel nicht wieder hin gehen.

Es war wirklich toll im Gold Spike.Sauberes Zimmer freundliches Personal es herrschte eine Familiäre Stimmung.Würde ich sofort wieder buchen auch wenn es etwas weit vom südlichen Strip gelegen ist aber für das gibt es den Deuce (Bus) den man für 7 Dollar 24 Stunden benutzen kann.

Das Hotel ist an einer gute Lage nahe am Downtown zu Fuss sind es nur etwa 2min. Das Parking ist zu kein, wir mussten einen anderen Parkplatz aufsuchen. (was sehr mühsam war) ab 7:00pm oder so bis um 8:00am kann man aber am Strassenrand bei den markierten Parkplätzen gratis parken. das Zimmer war eher laut, da sich irgend eine Kühlanlage oder so direkt […] neben dem Fenster befand. wir hatten schwierigkeiten am anfang das Hotel zu finden da die strasse auf dem Navi eine andere anzeigte. The hotel definitely appears nice inside and out. The surrounding area is downtown so there are some homeless people. The bed was extremely hard and police sirens outside through the night made it difficult to actually sleep. The place is pretty nice overall. Front desk staff is less than desirable, but dealers are hot and friendly, bar staff is cool, and restaurant staff was great. The place has been recently renovated and the casino area is really nice. The room was just okay and if you have the option, select a room away from the street. It might not make much of a difference, […] but there are plenty of jackholes stomping on the pedal late at night on the busy streets of downtown LV. How you feel about the Gold Spike is dependent on what you are looking for. We were looking for basic, clean accomodations that allowed our dog. That was pretty much what we got - the room was clean, decent shower, and comfy beds, but little else. If want a place to shower and sleep then you'll be happy - if you're looking for luxury, keep looking. […] I was worried before hand about the security of our vehicle since this isn't the best part of town, but visible security was ever present and no problems were encountered. We were in transit with a dog convenient and inexpensive. room was not exceptional but clean on the first floor next to the pool great for the dog.

1/2 a block to the Fremont Experience and 1 block to easy freeway access. Great location for enjoying Las Vegas and getting around town! The rooms were much better than I expected for the low price. Well priced. Clean and comfortable I would return even though there were a couple of issues The hotel would do well to either get blackout curtains or at least blinds that block out the lights and neon sign outside. Staff were pleasant and helpful although we stayed for 3 weeks there were 4 occasions where we asked for the room to be cleaned and it […] was not . The hotel looked remodeled, but once inside our room it was a little cheap and trashy. We stayed in a room that overlooked the hotel sign and it was VERY bright in our room all night long. The room was very nice & clean. The bed was not very comfortable though. Pretty worn down already. The TV is great, has the most channels I have seen in Vegas. The pool is great. The restaurant has ok food, but it really needs to be updated with different furniture. Plastic lawn furniture for large people does not work very well.

I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and how new everything was. The maid service was really good as we often slept late, but they still managed to make the beds and clean everything up no matter how late we left the room. Our only problem was valet service on the weekends. We dropped the car off early Sunday morning, but ended up being 1/2 hour late to a wedding Sunday night because no one told us the car was in the lot, not the garage. Very close to everything on fremont street...one block away had a great time downtown.. do need to watch you back in this location...was a little load not much sleep !!!!

The Gold Spike was a wonderful place to stay. The people in the hotel were so nice and friendly. The food was just great. It was next to Fremont Street which is one of the most injoyable places in Vegas and just 1 block to the strip shuttle. Every thing was nice and I plan on stay there the next time I go to Vegas.

Stayed here for a week with friends while on a climbing trip. The price was amazing (especially when split between our group) the room was clean, very friendly service at the front desk, and we were able to bring our dog into the room for free. I would highly recommend staying here if you are coming to Vegas to things other than hang out on the strip. […] Its kind of a pain to get to the strip from here. This is a really great, low-key hotel. The rooms are really nice and super clean with huge flatscreen TVs and everything you really need. Not the place to stay if you want all the craziness of the strip within walking distance but a great, quiet place to stay for sure. I think I'll always stay here when I come to Vegas

Experience a more personal service, with friendly staff and only around the corner from Freemont Street. Newly revamped rooms are very comfortable!

The Hotel was redone from the last time we were there. The room was nice. The pool was nice & clean, BUT, there was a HUGE steel door that kept other than hotel guests out that made a VERY LOUD slam everytime it was opened. That door SLAMMED all nite long. Rooms are actually very nice. Lots of homeless people on the nearby streets but that's been a problem downtown for many years (i.e. not much Gold Spike can do about that). One short block from Freemont St,, which is always fun. Gold Spike casino is actually very small but quaint. Friendly staff; parking can be difficult on weekends.

Bad parking as in not anywhere near enough. Rooms very clean and updated although very much a motel layout if by the pool.

Truly this is a nice place to stay. I had a party in Fremont area and didnt want to drive home so stayed here and got a great rate for a saturday night. The casino is small and only has a few tables (Dont play slots myself) but the dealers were nice and everything was in very good condition. The room was very nice. Tucked away in the pool area with […] very comfortable beds and a nice flat screen TV. Would have received a top rating but must admit there were long strands of HAIR in the SINK. Which is GROSS! Still I felt the room was clean in other areas and enjoyed my stay there but that is downright unexcusable as well. So there ya go fair assessment... Mehr

My best friend and I decided on a last minute trip to Vegas and with the rooms at about 160 a night, well the Gold Spike was in our budget. We enjoyed ourselves and were very impressed with the property. It isn't a ritzy hotel, but it isn't a dump either. Right next to Freemont Street and the double decker bus to get to the strip. My room smelled bad, especially when I turned on the heater and the room was quite cold. The noise level between 1am and 5am was horrible. Drunk hotel guests coming in and being loud and rude every night I was there.

It was a good stay at one of the busiest times of the year( the super Bowl weekend). I will stay there in the summer because I found out that they have a pool. It was okay for a low budget hotel. It was clean and well maintained.

The Gold Spike is a great option for staying in downtown Vegas if you are looking for a clean and comfortable room at a great value. Just a block off Fremont this area, like Fremont East, is gentrifying and offers modern styling at prices better than the surrounding hotels. I've stayed at several other hotels in the area that have recently renovated […] and found the Gold Spike to offer the same level of quality and service, if not better, for half the price. This is will be my first choice for my next stay in downtown Las Vegas. Mehr

Upon check in the front desk clerk was rude, the elevator operation was deliberately complicated to keep out the homeless, my room's floor had two huge bags of trash lying unattended, the air conditioner was excruciatinly loud and went on and off in time with my dozing off, the walls were so thin I had an all night play by play with the moaner next […] door or upstairs - my compliments to her companion. No smokeing every where in the hotel

The service was terrible! I booked a nonsmoking king room and when we got there they only had smoking rooms left. It's a $36.00 cab ride. The room was very clean and have been updated, but there isn't anywhere to buy water or food after midnight. They Charge your visa $100.00 damage deposit then refund you after they clean your room, this can cost you […] extra in visa fees if your not from the USA. We have stayed in tons of hotels in Vegas and this is one we will NEVER waste our time with again! Mehr

The people that work there are awesome. We were there for a week of dirtbiking in the desert. The valet knew all the great spots. We were pulling a trailer and they kept an eye on it for us. The restaurant staff was great.
