Common areas of hotel had an odor. Room had a wet, mildew smell. Eventually got used to the odor after the first day. Large suite room with 2 queen beds was a major plus. Close to shopping and dining. Rate included access to national fitness club located across the parking lot.

I read reviews about this hotel before I booked. Most of them said it was a very nice hotel. But when we got there, we were greeted by very courteous staff, our room was clean, the location is directly across from an LA Fitness to which we had full access as hotel guests. The breakfast was outstanding. They have these really fun do it yourself waffle […] makers that were just a blast to use. They change the breakfast each day offering a different meat and eggs, toast, cereals, juices, and of course newspapers to read as you stuff your face. The hotel is next to the highway, and I've seen others who are sensitive to sound complain about highway noise, but we heard no such noise. The wifi worked great and was fast. The pool was closed (seasonal use only) and that was probably the only downside to our stay. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and I fully intend to stay there again should I travel to the decatur area in the future. The hotel is very close to Atlanta, Emory, Stone Mountain and a few other local attractions. Mehr

When we arrived our room wasn't ready so they gave us the option of waiting an hour or taking a room with a King bed and pullout couch instead of 2 queens. When we pulled out the couch that night the springs were broken so the mattress was sagging badly. They couldn't move us because the hotel was full. Also, the lock on the door was broken so we had […] to put a chair against the door. I would not ever stay here again. Mehr

The location of this hotel was great, though a bit noisy. Restaurants, shops, attractions all nearby. Having breakfast included was important to me...and it was good. It was a fair hotel for a fair price...

Can't beat this hotel for the price in this location. This was a business trip and my husband and I were vere pleased with the room compared to others in the area.

The bathroom is too small. The door misses the toilet by less than 6 inches. I had to use two different remote controls for the TV. One for volume and a different one for changing channels. Other than these two minor items, it was a good experience.

The hotel was conveniently located. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. I loved the room on the top floor. The only thing I didn't like was the japanese beetles, and having to keep resetting my room key, my son and I disposed of at least 12 beetles.

When we arrived at the hotel, front desk service was fine. I checked in with no problem. At first glance, the room was just fine for me and my two children. Upon using the bathroom the first time, I found out the sink was stopped up. No water was going down. No problem, I just called the front desk and they sent someone right up. The maintenance guy […] said he would have to use Draino.... I wasn't really pleased with that since we would not be able to use the bathroom and the fumes, however the kids and I had a function to attend and would be gone for about 5 hours or more. I figured by the time we got back it should be cleared up and the fumes would be gone. Well we got back around 1 am, I check the bathroom and the sink's drain is still taken out and the sink is still clogged. I call the front desk to inform them and they said there was not maintenance that time of the night. I said fine, it was too late to move me and the kids to another room. At this point we are preparing for bed and I go to put the flip look on the door along with the deadbolt. Uh, the flip look was hanging off the bolts as if someone tried to break in on the last person. AND you could see where the nail had been in the wall several times and had been broken out or something.... I don't know. I then proceeded to call the front desk back and told them I needed another room. There was no way me and the kids was staying in the room with the flip lock hanging off as if someone tried to break in the room. The front desk is still being helpful and courteous. I received a new room and the kids and I got settled in. The next morning as I was checking out, I asked to speak to the manager regarding the problems I had. I was informed he would not be in until Monday morning. I was ok with that, took his card and the front desk cleark showed me where she had notated all the issues we had with the room. Great hotel for the money. No frills, but very comfortable and clean. Breakfast so so, but then I don't expect a lot for the price. It is really just an extra convenience. Neighborhood is great...lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.

Not a place I would recommend. Rough neighborhood, and the other guests are cut from the same cloth. TV sound didn't work. There were no curtains to draw to give privacy or block the sun in the morning. While changing clothes, I was on display to the various cars in the parking lot. The mock curtains that were there had been ripped from the wall. Bed […] was not very comfortable, they must not have the mattresses as the other Comfort Suites we have stayed in. In short, this is an old worn out hotel cashing in on the Comfort Suites name. Mehr

comfortable and affordable: very friendly staff

This hotel is located just outside of the Atlanta perimeter road. It took us 10 minutes to drive downtown. The rooms were clean & spacious, the staff friendly and you can work out at LA fitness next door with your room key. The low star rating must be have been from the past, it is far better than a 2 star hotel.

Nice, larger than normal room; very fast internet; good breakfast; free access to the gym across the street; and right next to one interstate with another just 5 minutes away. Great value for the money. Will stay there again next time I'm in Atlanta.

This was an excellent choice for my overnight hotel stay. It was both comfortable and conveniently located to shopping, restaurants, and most importantly my meeting destination.

The hotel is the worst I had a lizard in my room for both nights and they finally came out to the room the day the i checked out there was no remote and receptionist was very rude overall im disappointed

My family three night stay was extremely good. Based on the star rating, we did not expecting the level of service, quality and convenience. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Complementary breakfast was fresh and the choice was good. We were pleasantly surprised!!!!

This hotel was very nice and the fact that they had a floor specifically for non-smokers was awesome. My husband and I really enjoyed the quiet and the pleasant atmosphere. The location was amazing also. Everything we wanted to do in Atlanta was just a few minutes from us, no more than 10 miles. I recommend this hotel for anyone who is staying in Atlanta. […] We will be staying here every time we visit! I can guarantee it!!! Mehr

We booked a trip up to GA for a long weekend at Stone Mountain. It was too expensive to stay on site in Stone Mountain and I saw how close this hotel was to the location. The room was HUGE! Our room had two queen beds, a divided wall which seperated a sitting area, plently of drawer space, a desk area to work. The bathroom was on the small end but […] for only two people, the room was perfect! The continental breakfast had a variety of food. I was not a huge fan of the coffee but that is just a personal preference. The only problem I encountered was that our alarm clock did not work at all. We didn't mind because we use our cell phones anyway for alarms. Also the coffee pot in the room did not have the brew basket attached. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great and ulike someone else stated about hearing the interstate from the room, I did not here it at all and we were facing the interstate. Also the location is only about 15 minutes from Stone Mountan and 25-30 minutes from Atlanta...all interstate driving. Mehr

I stayed at comfort suites hotel for about a week and I had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was very clean, the rooms do need some updating, but overall I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast every morning was very good. I woul recommend this hotel and plan on staying in the near future.

Great property, great value. I was only there one night, but it is in a great location for getting off and on I285 in that part of the metro area. There are several decent places to eat nearby, even within walking distance, but mostly it was clean, professional looking, and organized. the check in was exactly as it should be and I was able to get out […] and take of my business without a hassle from other guests or an extensive check out. I will definitely try this property again when I need to be in that area. Mehr

Do not get a room on the side of of I-285. The highway noise is unbearable.

Rooms are comfy & clean, with all the usual amenities. Continental breakfast offers good, fresh variety. Convenient location: good restaurants, Target & LA Fitness all within very close walking distance as well as a mall & lots of other shopping not much further. The Best Value I've found in any hotel stay so far.

Very very nice for the Hotel.com price. Very clean! Good breakfast buffet! Had to move to another nonsmoking room because someone had broken the rule and smoked in a nonsmoking room and it gives me headaches. The clerk apologized and gave me another room which smelled nice. I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The rate was great and so was the room. The only problem I had was that the building is so close to the interstate highway and not properly insulated for highway noise. I had to use foam earplugs to sleep through the noise of the cars speeding by all night.

The location was very good for our needs, but the room had not been kept up to standard. I left a note with four different needs that should be attended to with the front desk: there was a leak around the commode, the shower curtain was completely worn out and needed to be replaced, the curtain tieback had pulled out of the wall and was on the floor, […] and the tub stopper did not work to close off the tub. However, the bed was wonderful with fresh, crisp sheets...actually, the bed is the most important item in the room as far as I'm concerned. There was however not enough room to sit on the toilet and open the door or close the door. The toilet was almost in the door...not at all enough room there. The room was cleaned nicely each day. If maintence was done, the room should be perfect. Mehr
