die anbindung mit den öffentlichen verkehrsmitteln zur innenstadt ist super. das frühstück sehr dürftig, aber daß es 24/7 kaffe und tee umsonst gibt, haben wir oft gern genutzt. der preis schlägt alles! dashotel hat seine besten zeiten schon hinter sich. aber für den preis ist es top.

Es ist wirklich so schön, wie sie beschreiben. Die grosszügige und einladende Lobby in der ersten Etage diente u.a. dem Weinempfang aller an diesem Tag anreisenden Gäste. Allerdings scheint die Zeit auf 17 bis 18 Uhr begrenzt zu sein. Eher als Ausnahme bekam ich später noch einen Gutschein für die Bar, die nicht ganz so nett ist, wie die Lobby. Beim Frühstück im benachbarten Bistro muss man wissen, was man wählt, um nicht vom Amerikanischen Geschmack überrascht zu werden.

Zu unserer Ueberraschung war alles viel kleiner, als es in den Bildern erscheint. Der Fotograf hat einen super Job gemacht. Dennoch ist das Hotel eine sehr gute Wahl. Allerdings hatten wir eine Suite. Wir haben das Zimmer-Service-Fruehstueck nie genutzt, da es genug guenstige und gute Alternativen in der unmittelbaren Umgebung gibt.
Lage
Eaglewood Resort and Spa liegt in Flughafennähe in Itasca in der Nähe der folgenden Sehenswürdigkeiten: Bloomingdale Golf Club, Lynfred Winery und Adventist GlenOaks Hospital. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten der Region gehört Folgendes: Legoland Discovery.
Ausstattung
Eaglewood Resort and Spa stellt Ihnen Folgendes zur Verfügung: Wellnesscenter, Golfplatz und Fitnessstudio. Ein kostenloser W-LAN-Internetzugang steht in den öffentlichen Bereichen zur Verfügung. Geschäftsreisenden wird in diesem 3,5-Sterne-Haus Folgendes angeboten: Businesscenter, Konferenzraum und Tagungstechnik. Dieses Resort mit Wellnessangebot bietet den Gästen Folgendes: Restaurant und Bar/Lounge. Das Hotelpersonal hilft Ihnen gerne bei allen Fragen weiter. Zum Service-Angebot gehört Folgendes: Concierge-Service, Hochzeitsservice und Event-Catering. Außerdem steht Folgendes zur Verfügung: Innenpool, Whirlpool und Wellnessangebote. Zimmer
Die 295 klimatisierten Zimmer im Eaglewood Resort and Spa bieten Folgendes: Zimmersafes und kostenlose Zeitungen. Die Betten in den Zimmern haben Pillowtop-Matratzen. Die Zimmer haben einen Highspeed-Internetzugang. Kabel-/Satelliten-TV-Empfang sowie Videospielkonsolen und Pay-TV stehen in den Zimmern zur Verfügung. Darüber hinaus bieten alle Zimmer folgende Ausstattung: Schreibtische, kostenlose Zeitungen an Wochentagen und Telefone mit Voicemail; kostenlose Ortsgespräche sind ebenfalls inbegriffen (möglicherweise gelten Einschränkungen). Zur Badausstattung gehören: Bademäntel, Haartrockner und kostenlose Toilettenartikel.

"Not what we expected"
We had gone to spend the weekend with various family members, swimming, talking, eating, etc. The pool, fitness club, bowling alley, and spa were not in the hotel itself, but in a separate building where you had to walk outside. Thank goodness it wasn't terribly cold. The pool had no tables or lounge chairs. The pool was UNHEATED. The children's lips […] were blue when we took them out of the pool. The bowling alley was nice, but noisy. Needless to say, we did not have much visiting done and will not return to this facility. Mehr
"Very Good, Except one thing"
The only negative to this resort is that you have to go outdoors for the spa and pool. In the winter, this is very, very incovenient!

I Love this place. From the moment you walk in you feel welcome. And now during the Holiday Season the fireplace, the Christmas were both beautiful. This will now be a hide-away for me and the hubby. Can't wait for the New Years Party there.

"Eagle wood resort"
Good getaway for a couple of nights. Close to many night time options (bars, restaurants, shopping)
Wonderful getaway for my boyfriends birthday. I was here once before for a wedding and decided to stay here again. I will definitly choose to stay at Eaglewood again next time I need a night away.

The room we stayed in was very nice and clean. The lobby was also very nice, as were the views of the golf course. We didn't use the pool or fitness room or eat at the restaurants, so I can't offer a review of any of those. But I was disappointed to receive a bill for an "amenity fee" on our checkout day. I actually had to call the front desk to find […] out that it was for internet use, pool/fitness room use and bottled water in the room. Well, we didn't use the internet, pool or fitness room, although we did drink two bottles of water. We travel quite a bit, but have never heard of this fee. Mehr
"Terrific spa break"
My husband attended a conference in Wheaton and we stayed here. I took advantage of their spa and enjoyed a facial, paraffin wrap and exercise facilities including steam room and sauna. It was a wonderful, relaxing time. The staff was helpful and attentive. Would definitely go back.

"Family trip to Chicago"
This is the 1st time my kids had been to Chicago, and because the hotels in town are so expensive, this was a great deal. They loved the pool and bowling alley and over-all had fun. As an adult, I expected more from a "resort" if you will. The rooms definitely need updated in the worst way. Beds are hard, the 1970's wall paper in room and bathroom doesn't […] match the nice modern vanity in the restroom area and the flat screen TV. We found gum under the chair arm and the desk in our room! Gross!! It's not like we were looking for it, kids were playing and acting like kids and found it when they were hiding. I would reccomend this hotel to someone, but I think next time, we will pay the extra to stay in Chicago! Mehr
The Spa, Pool and workout rooms are all located across the parking lot from the resort rather than connected to the main building. Dont think I would want to take this walk in the winter time.

"The Eaglewood Resort in Itasca"
The hotel was nice, great balcony, great price. Downfalls: the "indoor pool" is across the parking lot, there was no refrigerator in the room, and no flat screen tv.
"Eaglewood Resort & Spa - disaster"
There was construction going on and it started at 7am so we could not sleep in at all. The room was mediocre at best and not up to par with the resort and spa title. The beds were extremely uncomfortable to the point of pain each morning. The shampoo and conditioner smelled absolutely disgusting. We had to hike across the parking lot to get to the amenities […] which I also found very inconvenient. This hotel does not deserve the resort and spa title. We spent a great deal of money on the extras as well as our stay and when we complained about any of the above problems, nothing was done about them or to compensate us. I stayed at this restort about ten years ago. The rooms have not changed at all. The wallpaper was falling off the walls. The pool was fantastic only problem...you had to walk outside and a mile to get to it. There wasn't anything special about this place. "Relaxing"
Nice spa; great massage treatments. Decent fitness center. Yoga class was nice, even though of a slower pace than we normally practice. Lovely green location not far from the city. Would be more convenient once the highway construction is done.

A beautiful place, so very restful, and be sure and ask for Sal, masseur, at spa, best ever! Restraunt food was very good, but service in cafe very slo,, so dont get in a hurry.Hotel service to get to city very accomodating and helpful. Very nice. Very clean. Rooms are good size. Lots of amenities at the hotel -- golf, spa, pool, bowling. Restuarant and bar have good selections and the prices were reasonable, Definitely would recommend. Prices compared to downtown Chicago are much better. Plus you get a better view with the golf course.

Nice & peaceful location. Good spa services, and relaxing atmosphere.
This is a really nice place for a family to stay....has a HUGE pool, bowling alley, fitness center, restaurants....we plan to go back! The only negative thing I can say is that the mattresses are pretty firm and is great if you like that....but I prefer ones that are much softer. However, it would not keep me from staying there again.

"Good deal in the off season"
We got an amazing deal on this hotel. If you don't mind the slight drive to Chicago and it is the winter months this is a great place to stay. It felt like an abandoned Hotel in late November there were so few guests. The pool and whirlpool was nice even though you have to walk outside to get to this building. They have a locker room and all that.

My weekend getaway at this hotel was nice all in all except that for some reason my room wasn't cleaned up the next day and we ran out of tissue. Isn't there usually and additional role of tissue somewhere in the room?

The Lady at the front desk was very rude and not helpful at all example: we asked for location of nearest resturant and she claimed she didn't know and the next day we asked another lady and she handed us a card w/directions.

"outstanding hotel"
We went there for my daughter's Diabetic seminar it was easy to find the staff was very helpful to places to go in the area. Are room was very clean had a nice view and balcony. It was nice to have a pool, bowling alley , bar and restaurant there that we used we also play Ms Pacman which is in by the bowling alley and bar. "A quiet gem"
My family and I love staying here when we visit Chicago each summer. The resort is always so clean and never crowded. On-site parking is free which is so convenient. It's very easy to catch the METRA into Chicago from beautiful downtown Itasca. Nearby Schaumburg offers great shopping and dining. The resort rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. […] The beds are so comfortable. The spa has a huge pool that has always been clean and the water is never too cold. The spa also houses a neon bowling alley which is great for some family fun. We love sitting around the large fire pit the resort has burning each evening. We usually don't dine at the resort as the restaurants there are a little pricey.
