It will do in a pinch, need 24 hours advanced notice for the airport shuttle, you don't pay a lot and you get a little less than what you do pay for

Staff was friendly and courteous. The only complaint I have is the cigarette burns on the tub and the counter. Room was clean and very roomy. Breakfast was a bit weak, no fresh fruit, but the orange juice was splendid.

Everybody has their take on what they want out of a hotel stay. I may be a bit of a snob, but this hotel has a long way to go to bring it up to acceptable standards. For one thing, it's old; obviously a renovation (maybe a couple times over). The minute you step inside, you smell the old smokey aroma. The rooms don't smell much better. The shower I […] had, had its parts falling off. The TV is old, and the picture quality was just barely acceptable, with two channels unviewable. It rained the night I stayed, and the large raindrops from the trees were pounding on the aluminum roof right outside my window; sounded like someone was throwing a tennis ball against the building (I asked to be moved a few doors down; it was better). Out the back, there's a house so close, you can see the neighbors eating. And their yard is not in good shape. The "continental breakfast" was nothing more than a few pieces of toast, diluted orange juice (yuk) and lemonade (Lemonade?? In the morning??) No hot oatmeal. On the plus side, the staff was fairly accomodating. The rugs appeared to be clean. Towels were white. Plenty of hot water. Close proximity to Portland Airport. I can sum up everything with one question: If this were free, would I stay here? I have to say NO. There are much better choices in the area for the same price. Mehr

If you can get a room here, its wonderful ! The staff are very accommodating for all of your needs. Its clean, well maintained, and an over all good environment for everyone. A hidden jem !!!

If I could give this hotel less than 1 I would. Our room had cigarette burn holes in the sheets, the refrigerator was broken with insulation exposed, the room was "dirty" the pull out bed had 2 springs holding it together, the furniture as "Stained" with who knows what. We left after viewing the room and had to find a new hotel after arriving there […] at almost midnight! I was told I would not be charged but I was, PLUS an extra $50.00 "hold" was actually taken. you get what you pay for. its close to the shopping district. but it smells like smoke. and the rooms are very outdated. parking is a little bit hard in the small garage. but its fine if you need a cheap clean place to stay.

Decent basic hotel. Jessica at the front desk on day shift was especially cordial and helpful. We had a large group and they were able to get most of the rooms close together. Basic continental breakfast saved a lot of money for our youth. The kids were SO HAPPY to be able to stay there. Only disappointment was the $40 make-up charge for a towel, hand […] towel and washcloth. We had to wait for a hour to checkin to our room and even when we did check in the house keeping was still working on the room.

This was an awesome deal. It was like having an apartment for rent. The only problem I had is their deluxe breakfast wasn't much of a breakfast. All they had was two types of cereal, frozen waffles and wheat bread.also the toasters didn't work very well for the waffles.

The hotel was much better than we expected. The suite was quite large, but there was no heating in one of the rooms. The place was clean and well kept, but even though we signed up as 4 adults(inadvertently, since we had 1 child) the lady at the desk tried to charge us $10 for 2 more towels(they only had given us 2). I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone, I feel it should be removed from Hotels com web site, the pictures are misleading! The room had what looked like old blood everywhere, it was the grossest place I have ever stayed! I will not stay at another Americas Best Value INN Hotel EVER! If that is what America's Best is to look like no wonder people […] don't like Americans Traci VERY UNSATISFIED! Mehr

Everything is great just bring your own towel. Towels are very old and bad condition.

It was a great deal for a 1 night stay, this hotel is not fancy, so if this is what you are looking for do not go there, however, it is clean, and the rooms are dated. hi, we were pleasantly surprised, our room was a 2 room queen, it was more like a one bed apartment. had a kitchentte also. we had to move the tv to the bedroon but that was ok. older but clean and nice. only complaint was everytime the door across the hall opened it sounded like it was our door. and they were in and out all night, but not the hotel […] staffs fault, and they were very gracious to us thank you Mehr

This is an older building, but you can tell they are in the progress of updating. when complete it should be very nice. Continental breakfast wasn't that great, but better than nothing. Would definitely stay again. If you are just looking for a place to spend the night.

I will never stay at another Americas Best or any of their affiliates. I have never been so upset or unsatisfied at a hotel stay. Their is no customer service here. After waiting over 2 hours at the airport for a shuttle that was supposed to arrive at 5pm...I called at 5:15 asking if the shuttle was waiting. I was informed that there would be no shuttle […] coming to pick me up. After having to pay for a taxi to get to the hotel I received no apology or sympathy for such behavior. On top of lack of hot water, no heat/air in the bedroom, and a distance not accurate from the airport they had rude staff. If it were truly only 1/2 mile, I could have walked instead of paying 15 dollars for a taxi. I also was required to pay a $50 deposit and was refused a receipt. It was an ordeal to get a handwritten paper to say that I payed them $50 cash and for it to be returned upon checkout. They also require a 24 hour notice on all shuttles or will completely refuse one to you, if they do offer one it will be a 10 charge! I feel the description of this hotel should be changed. It is not a complimentary shuttle unless given 24 hour notice, so if you are flying in be sure to call them ahead of time or you will be setting at the airport. Mehr

nice place to stay near the bus line and easy to get to the max light rail system.very helpful and friendly staff.

I arrived at midnight. There was a sign on window, "Be Back In 20 Minutes" but it was almost 1 AM before front desk clerk came back from picking up people from airport. Did not get to bed until 2 AM. Terrible Service, will never stay here again!

The name of this hotel is America's Best Value Inn and Suites. These rooms are not suites. There is an extra room, with no window or seperate heating/air from the main room. It is old, enormously outdated, and you are not quite getting what you will pay for. We elected to not spend the night, and instead went to another larger chain hotel and took […] it in the chin on the fact we paid for the hotel on Hotels.com, and would not receive a refund. I believe this room would be adequate for college students flying in or out of town, or those that really just need an extremely cheap place to sleep for the night. Mehr

It's not the Ritz, but the suite is roomy and clean. The bed had lots of miles on it, but c'mon-- for the price?? Very good deal.

Good undercover parking. The staff member at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. The suite (two rooms) was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The price was very reasonable. Would stay there again.

I had a terrible night at the hotel. The parking is full. Staff is not that friendly. Room is dirty and no microwave. They have oven but no dish, pot, or pan (how would you cook). The breakfast is worst, all you will have just bread and cereals. I requested for a room of 2 beds, but turn out they have one bed-room, and the staff told me to get the […] pull out bed from sofa, and I am sure that bed is never changed sheet. Since I have extra guests, I called the front desk and asked for another room with more bed, and they told me that they were out of room. However, they still charged for extra guests without even telling me until I checked out. What a customer service!!! It's my first time staying at the hotel, and I don't expect to do it again. Mehr

Although the hotel itself is in the midst of a massive renovation and upgrade I feel that the price I paid through Hotels,com was fair and balanced with the conditions that exist. Reguardless of the renovation, the rooms were clean, the staff was helpfull and knowledgable and very pleasant. The hotel staff were very friendly, however the conditions of the rooms are another thing. the first room I had had a broken physical lock, so I asked to change rooms and was given a new one. the second room had towels that were either stained or dirty with brown spots and later in the night when I was chilly and turned the heater on, the smoke detector […] went off, as it did indeed smell like something burning. Needless to say it was 2:30 AM and I knew I would be leaving at 4:30 AM for my flight, thus simply shut the heater off and fanned the detector until it was quiet. I couldn't wait for 4:30 to come. This hotel had all of the ammenties we needed however it was in the worst neighborhood, the room was dirty and there was noodles in the sink. There were a number of loud parties in the hotel. The room smelled of smoke and there was no parking. It really was a terrible experience for our family. We couldn't even take our children swimming because of […] the scary people out there. I was frustrated because the website described this place as nice with great features which was not the case. Also when we arrived the hotel charged us an extra $10 fee for taxes without telling us. They messed up the reservation first of all, and the place smelled very musty. they room was small and musty and dark. I didn't think it was as advertised. We went to another Hotel down the street.

The rooms were not bad but need a little tlc. Very big rooms. But need a little cleaning and painting. Also so close to 82nd ave kinda noisy

We chose this hotel because it's pet friendly and we could bring our small dog. The room was big, like a one bedroom apartment. Very quiet at night in a very convenient location off the freeway near the airport. We took advantage of the breakfast that's available from 6 -9 AM but didn't have time to go in the pool. This is a cheap hotel.. and I don't mean just the price. The Television is pretty bad, its small and only gets like 20 channels. Even for the channels they provide, the quality sucks. The rooms are laid out like a Studio, and the TV is not in the bedroom. The couches and beds are at least 10 years old. Their daily breakfast includes department store […] waffles, bread, cereal, minute maid orange juice and milk. The swimming pool looked decent even though we did not get a chance to use it. The price is cheap so its okay if you just want a place to sleep and get out but otherwise, stay away from this place. Mehr

The hotel was very easy to find. The staff was great.

Overall the Hotel was nice. Staff was friendly and very accomadating. Changed our room for us to check in early without a hassle. Appears they have started making renovations. Some things had been updated while others remained untouched. The only real complaint is that the stairs from the parking garage are steep and the railing old and not very secure. […] The garage seemed to be monitored and safe, but very small and hard to navigate if you have a full size sedan, mini-van or full sized truck. There are not enough spaces for everyone and I would not have wanted to park on the streets on either side of the hotel even though i felt safe in the hotel. The pool was clean and warm, but not enough room for lounging if half the hotel was using it at the same time. We will stay there again if the price is right. Mehr

This is an excellent place to stay. Nice living room/kitchen plus bedroom and bath. Close to airport and very attentive staff. Too bad there are not more of them across the US.
