Das MarQueen liegt etwa 5 Min. Fussweg von Space Needle, EMP und der Monorail entfernt. Mit der Monorail sind es etwa 3 Minuten bis Stadtmitte (Pike Place Market), zu Fuss ca. 30 Minuten. Die Angestellten waren alle freundlich u hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war okay (Bagels, Obst, Joghurt).

Ein altes aber sehr gemütliches Hotel. Leider ohne Aufzug, aber in Sichtweite zum Space needle. Die Hotel Garage ist zu teuer (25,00 Dollar plus Tax). Kleines Snack Frühstück, gut und kostenlos. Sehr zentral. Sehr guter Einkaufsmarkt mit großer Auswahl 24 Stunden geöffnet. Gute Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Außerdem kostenloser wireless Internetzugang […] im Zimmer. Mehr

Das Hotel ist sehr schön hergerichtet und sieht toll aus. Es ist im älteren Stil aber fantastisch. Die Zimmer sind sehr gross und der Service ist super. Die Leute sind an der Rezeption etc. sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Würde jederzeit wieder dort hingehen.

We stayed at this hotel for vacation. Hotel is so pretty and we got great deal by Hotels.com. We stayed one additional day and it cost much more than we were expectiong. Hotels.com helped us so much for saving.

MarQueen is a very quirky hotel that takes you back in time with the lovely antique design. Rooms are spacious with an eat in kitchen with microwave and coffee making facilities. Rooms are clean and beds are very comfy. Location is great for the Seattle Center and the Space Needle, can catch the monorail to downtown from there and this makes it a great […] location. Easy night time parking on the street outside hotel which is free from 8 pm to 8 am, hotel has valet parking for $25 per night but I found street parking worked well. Hotel staff are very friendly and most helpful, would definatelly go back and recommend to friends and family. Mehr

It was a lovely stay overall, the staff were so helpful and welcoming. it was truly a home away from home. The heating is quite old and tended to kick in every so often, got used to that. Dining area for breakfast too small, but was able to eat in my room. Overall a lovely elegant experience, would stay again for sure.

This is a gorgeous hotel in a beautifully restored old building. Our room was almost a suite, at about 40 square metres. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the location is very convenient, close to shops, bars, parks, views, buses and the iconic space needle. I just stayed at the Marqueen Hotel for the first time and I loved it. I really appreciate that it is an historical building and seems very well loved in all the good ways. You can walk to the Monorail and the Space needle in just a few minutes!! I loved all the shops in and around the entire area as well as the ease of driving to and from downtown. They have valet service which made the parking price of $25/day so worth it. The only concern was that the shower engager was a bit tricky to work, but the water stayed warm and it was all fine. It's not so much that the bed was BAD...but it was just alright, and the sheets kept coming off it all through the night, which is irritating, but not a deal breaker by any stretch of the imagination. The small kitchenette in the room was an added bonus and gave us an awesome space for late night munching on the greasy Dick's burgers bought down the street. Honestly, the strangest thing about the place was that it was almost a mirror image of my friend's apartment that i went to go visit in the first place. I will definitely stay here again if come to Seattle. The price was great for the area and staff was incredibly helpful and coureous. The included breakfast was a bonus (though it wasn't anything super spectacular, I am good with a bagel and coffee in the morning so I was good). I liked the quirky vintage style of the hotel. Everyone was very helpful and friendly and the room was absolutely enormous. Certain features are a little dated, but all functioning and clean. The hotel is walking distance to the Seattle Center which includes the Space Needle, there are surrounding shops and restaurants and it is a nice and safe neighborhood. We booked 2 rooms for our stay in Seattle. One of the room had a stove and the other didn't (not a big deal). Both rooms were very spacious and the decor was very modern. All the amenities were within walking distance. Overall a great stay and would be back again!

What a great discovery! This place has history and lots of good photos to tell the guests all about it. Imagine: this was a residence for auto mechanics in the days when they were highly respected as Doctors of Motors! How refreshing to be in a hotel room that is not a copy or an echo of every other hotel you've stayed in! There is no attempt here to […] hide the heritage; someone has just done a wonderful job of creating comfort for guests in a building that has seen at least three other incarnations before becoming a hotel. I had to change my travel plans the day of the trip and they not only accomadated me but I ended up in a upgraded room for the same price. Located on the edge of downtown close enough to all the shops but away from the traffic surrounded by several good resturants. The service was outstanding and very friendly.

This was a charming older hotel in the Queen Anne Section of Seattle. We walked just a couple of blocks and were in the beautiful older, pricey homes of Seattle -- a lovely place for a walk and a great view of the city. We walked everywhere! Great place to stay. Staff were helpful, great restaurant (Toulouse) across the street. Close to bus lines, walking distance to sites of interest. Room and hotel had character. Kitchen in room is a bonus, but didn't notice many grocery stores nearby. Breakfast was minimal, but decent. Parking is by valet (we paid $25/night), but secure. Hotel had wireless […] (fees typically waived during off-season), and also during off-season allow you to keep your car in valet parking til 2PM (2 hours after checkout) without extra charge. Storage of bags not a problem after checkout. Bed was a bit loud, but comfortable. Room was pretty quiet overnight even though it was a Saturday night. The Marqueen is a charming hotel, with a very friendly and helpful staff to go with it. The front desk people were very interested in making sure our experience was a good one, and the parking valet literally ran to take care of our needs. The Marqueen is an incredible bargain for an attractive, historical property in a convenient location - the only […] issues that make it a 4 instead of a 5 are: 1) Daily Parking fee (to which they add a tax of approximately 13%). It's reasonable and in line with other parking fees in the area, but still a significant added cost; 2) The continental breakfast offered is very basic. The staff in charge of the breakfast room and service are very friendly and helpful, but the food choices are plain and uninspired, particularly for a foodie town like Seattle; 3) While we were young (50's) and fit enough to handle the four flights of stairs to get to the 3rd floor (with luggage), the lack of an elevator could be an issue for some travelers who are booked on the top floor. Overall, we would be very happy to stay at the Marqueen again the next time we're in Seattle. Mehr

Great service throughout my weeklong stay at this property. Would definitely return.

I was staying in Seattle for about a week on business. In spite of being an older hotel, it was very clean and remodeled. Rooms were very modern with a touch of the classic hotel feel. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The location was also very convenient, however it's a bit of a walk to get downtown. This is a really great hotel for the price. The rooms are really big with a lot of character. One thing to note is that they have 3 floors but no elevator. That may not be a problem for you but if it is you might want to request the bottom floor. The draw back is you might get some street noise. The location is really good. Make sure you go to the top of Queen Anne Ave. (up the hill). The bus will take you. Take a left on W. Highland to Kerry Park for the quintessential view of Seattle. Beautiful! What a great neighborhood and nice hotel. Location was perfect. I had a rental car and was able to find parking each night without a problem. I would have liked it if they had a business center with internet access - but that was the only thing lacking. I would stay here again. Great price too.

Great location with alot of shops and restaurants, etc. nearby. I was alarmed to see that the windows would not open. Where is the fresh air coming from? Lots of old chipping paint and worn through the finish floors. Heaters in the room are noisy but no street noise, again, non-openable double windows. Price is what makes it worthwhile. Street parking […] can be a challange with two hour meetering. Didn't do the valet thing, but that would have been easier if you are willing to spend the sur-charge and the valet tips. Mehr

The first thing they tell yuou is that the parking is $25 fro your entire stay. What they forgot to say was it was per day. Even when I asked them specifically, they said $25.00 for entire stay. Three nights $84.39 Next the continental breafast had NO Juice, are you kidding Me. The fruit was either an Apple or Banana, and NO toast. Just bagels. The […] rooms were old, but very dated. I think the pillows were original with the Hotel. I have stayed in about 20 different places in the last month, and they were Number 1 in being the worst places to stay... My fiance and I stayed at the Marqueen for two nights. This a lovely, old hotel. Very historic. We checked and was immediately greeted by the bell cap and front desk associates. We were given the choice of a room on any of their 3 floors and was told in advance there was no elevator. The dual stairs are beautiful, so we didnt mind walking up and down […] to the 3rd floor. The neighborhood is great, right at the base of Queen Anne Hill. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance. Room was large and spacious (old apartment), we had a kitchen and a sitting room. It is an old hotel, so your typical weird plumbing or noises is normal, but did not change how we feel about this great hotel. Although we didn't attend, there is a complimentary breakfast, thought that was a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again. Mehr

Parking charges not explained at $25./night. Must use valet. Extremely limited utensils, cookware. Full size refrigerator, much larger than necessary/ Unique accommodations.

Lovely building w/ obvious signs of gradual upgrades. Bed mattress was in need of replacement. But great location with wonderful kitchen amenities. Price was right and would certainly stay there again and will recommend it to others as well. thanks

We were extremely pleases with our stay. There is a valet service 24 hours out front that greets you and helps with your luggage. The inside is very beautiful and the front desk person was friendly and prompt. The only real negative thing about the hotel is no elevator. The MarQueen is an outstanding value. The staff is very professional. The rooms are large and have a full kitchen and separate sitting room. Good location with many restaurants nearby, walking distance to downtown and to Key Arena/Seattle Center. Bus route right by hotel. This is a fantastic hotel -- Great location, great staff, and lovely rooms. We made the reservations last minute, and were just expecting a regular hotel room, but it was really a suite, with a full kitchen and a breakfast nook overlooking the Space Needle. Amazing.

Stayed over night on New Years to avoid driving. Hotel staff is awesome, room was great. Even when I went searching for the ice machine at about 3am, I was intercepted by staff and he ran and got the ice for me.

My family and I needed a few days away. Enjoyed the hotel, the neighborhood and staff. Our only complaint was that two days in a row, our towels were dirty, right off the rack. It was really gross. Parking was 25.00 a day, but you can find spots just west of the hotel for free, just be patient. Loved the front reception girl, very helpful.

We have stayed twice at the Marqueen...Christmas 2011 and Summer 2010. Both times we have been happy with their welcoming ways, with the location and with the accommodations. We've actually stayed in 4 different rooms, and they are all very similar......large, include a kitchen and are simply but nicely appointed. Proximity to the Seattle Center, Queen […] Ann resturants, short walk to the waterfront and a real authentic Seattle feel are the highlights....The Metro Market a block away is a great bonus. Wonderful Hotel. Staff Superb. Centrally located. Very original 1900's rooms. Large, kitchens, nicely furnished. Parking can be difficult....valet expensive. Would highly recommend.

I love this hotel! I have always had great service and love the rooms. This last stay I had a bad room though. The pillows smelled like an old man's head, the hot water didin't work in the bathroom sink and the kitchen sink was plugged. I brought this to the front desk's attention and they jumped right on it. This is an older property, so do not expect a pristine condition room. The room we had was very comfortable and charming. The hotel is full of character and history. The room was relatively clean, as it is very difficult to keep wood floors and old tile floors hospital clean. Great location for walking to City Center,Key Arena, Space Needle, etc. and […] also not too far to walk to attractions on Elliott Bay. Bed was an oldie, springy and very comfortable. We cannot remember the last time we slept so well on a hotel bed, and we have stayed in some very "nice" hotels! Kudos to the the staff!! I think the Valet's name was Steven. He is a very personable and efficient young man. The front desk person was a pretty young blonde, a local Seattle girl. We really loved her capable and natural demeanor. They were so very friendly and helpful! We will make this hotel our choice the next time we visit Seattle. Mehr

We took a chance on the MarQueen and were not disappointed. My wife and I normally choose larger chain hotels (Westin or Hyatt), but decided on a change this trip. The pictures and descriptions of the MarQueen do not do it justice. This place has so much character and soul. When you walk through the front door, you feel like you are in a different place...like […] something you'd read about n an old crime novel. The front staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. It was like everyone actually cared about your visit and knew the neighborhood like the back of their hand. No stuffy consierge...just a really friendly girl behind the front desk. The bell staff was also great! The rooms are the real prize here. They used to be apartments...places where autoworkers actually lived. The floors are beautifully preserved original wood. They creak and sing when you walk. The bed and linens were super comfortable and the kitchenette and bath had everything we needed. The MarQueen Hotel was certainly one of the highlights in another great trip to Seattle. Mehr
