"The Marqueen lower Queen Anne Seattle"
Was bumped up to a full suite upon arrival due to a wedding party. My best friend arrived from southern California later. Her room was just OK, a little smelly as the building is very old. Noise no longer a problem as they have installed full glass panels on the inside of the existing windows. Bummer you can't open the windows though. My suite was very […] nice but showing some age since the remodel. Pretty clean and nicely appointed. The service was super - room service from 10 Mercer expensive with 30% service charge, 20% built-in gratuity and WA sales tax almost 10%. So, go eat out or bring in pizze from across the street. Bed very comfy - flat screen tv in livingroom too small and cabinett door didn't fold to the side so viewing ackward. Overall, very satisfied. Friend moved into my suite after I left. Mehr
Spacious rooms, good price, good service. I liked to the decore. Will stay again if I pass through this area.
Everything about this remodeled old hotel was elegant except that the hardwood floors creaked when you walked across them. Very comfortable. We knew there were no elevators, but wanted the area. Walked to dinner at the Space Needle after checking in. Staff was very nice and helpful.

"Great Location!"
We really enjoyed our stay at the Marqueen Hotel in Seattle. It has a wonderful charm and character of times gone by, with it's spacious hallways, antique furnishings, hardwood floors and framed black and white historical photos. The 2 queen beds were comfortable with fresh white linens, but the pillows were lumpy. The pullout couch bed seemed smaller […] than a single size, not suitable for an adult, and the mattress was thin and uncomfortable. We used one of the bedspreads folded up for an underlay. The room we had was #216 on the second floor at the back side of the building. We were a bit disappointed to find that the view from the windows was a wall of another building that had been painted with tropical plants and marble pillars to enhance it. The wall was about 2 meters away so that the room did get some daylight, but not a lot. Take note that this hotel does not have elevators, but it wasn't a problem for us. An air-conditioning unit was built into the window which we used as the weather was quite warm and muggy. It worked well but was too noisy to leave on during the night, so we just opened the window for fresh air. The bathroom has an old type tub with a quaint shower attachment, a pedestal sink (no counter space) with only a very small glass shelf that sloped, so not safe to place anything breakable on it. There was a small set of shallow shelves built into the wall but not really useful for holding personal accessories. The walls throughout looked freshly painted. The suite also had a separate small kitchen with a window (same view as the bed room) over a nook style table with bench seating on either side. It also had a coffeemaker, a microwave, fridge, dishes and cutlery and a sink but no tea towels or dish lotion that we noticed. Although the hotel is located on a somewhat busy street, the sound did not carry into the room. The location of the hotel was perfect for us -- only about a 10 minute drive from Pier 91 Cruise Ship Terminal, a 10 minute bus rid Mehr
"The Marqueen Hotel-A Great Location to Sights"
We enjoyed the courteous, accommodating staff who were so helpful to all our questions and gave us great reccommendations on restaurants close by. We thought it was in a good, safe location and walked everywhere we went including Pike's Market, downtown Seattle to shop, and very close to the Space Needle. A couple good restaurants just across the street […] from the hotel so had no problem finding breakfast, lunch or dinner. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and it's quiet. We would definately stay at the Marqueen again in a return trip to Seattle. Mehr
"Charming!"
This isn't a 5 diamond resort, its a very cute, charming, quaint little vintage hotel. It's exactly what I wanted, but thats my taste, not necessarily everyone else's...
"Marqueen-excellent service, quiet room, great loca"
My husband, baby girl, and I just returned from a weekend at the Marqueen and we have no complaints. A great place to stay near Seattle centre.
"A great find near downtown!"
The MarQueen is located just outside of the downtown Seattle in the Queen Anne neighborhood. It's an easy bus ride to get anywhere downtown and a 5-10 minute walk to the Seattle Center (Space Needle, science center, sci fi museum, etc.). Some of the best views of the city are a fast, though steep, walk up Queen Anne Hill from Kerry Park, near the MarQueen. The […] building has a very interesting history and a unique feel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was very kind and helpful. The coffee shop attached to the hotel, Cafe Ladro, was unreal and rightly deserves all of it's "best of" titles! It's a must-visit for any coffee connoisseur. One of the biggest perks of this hotel was having a kitchenette in our room. Many nights our family got carry out from the Metropolitan Market one block away (very similar to Whole Foods) and ate in our rooms. It was a great, less expensive alternative to always dining out while on vacation! Mehr
"Charming"
When ever I am in Seattle, I always stay at this lovely hotel.
"Texas Cousins Trip"
Two sets of sisters take a trip together every year and this year it was Seattle. We all agree that this was the best place we have ever stayed on any of our 8 trips!

"our stay"
we were there to see an opera...perfect location for that and many other sights...love the metropolitan grocery open 24 hours!
"Excellent Service & Charming Hotel!"
We stayed there at the end of July and had a wonderfully large room with 2 queen beds and a kitchenette. LOVE the antique furniture, but the best thing was the front desk service and the bellhop - they jumped at every opportunity to help us out with whatever we needed. Parking was either via valet or on the street but wasn't too bad for the end of a […] weekend. I'd definitely stay here again! Mehr
"Nice location"
Major drawback was squeeky floors and bathroom door that wouldn't close without slamming it and waking everyone up. Nice walking distance to mono-rail to downtown and skytower.
"Our Seattle stay"
The MarQueen is an excellant Hotel...It's close to everything..The continental Breakfast was plentiful and tasty..I would stay there again..The charm relaxes the senses...
"Marqueen Hotel--excellent"
This was a lovely older hotel very conveniently placed in Seattle, in a nice neighbourhood. Room was beautifully furnished, very clean and spacious. The small sitting area was really lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. No complaints about any of that. If I have any complaint it would be about the breakfast. There was no variety, same each […] day and not much choice. But the lady in the breakfast room was lovely!! Mehr
"Great hotel in a great location"
Super friendly staff, great old hotel. Only downside is parking, but that's Seattle.
"MarQueen Vintage and Marvelous"
the MarQueen is Not full of modern amenities--if that's what you're looking for, look elsewhere. The MarQueen is fabulously authentic vintage luxury. I haven't seen a broom closet in 40 years, but smiled as soon as I walked in my kitchenette--and there it was in all her simple splendor. From the hardwood floors to the doorknobs and smallish bathroom […] it is fabulous and authentic. I can't wait to go back. It's a block away from great affortable dining, antique stores and boutiques--loved it. Mehr

"Avoid Ground Floor"
We met others who had stayed here and they had a good time so we put down our lack of total joy to the fact we had a ground floor room (116) that was clearly meant for disabled folk and had a 'view' that would have earned a citation from prison inmates - a canyon wall scrawled with either art work or grafitti depending on your point of view. The wall […] was about 6 feet away and disappeared skyward way beyond our ability to see anything resembling cloud or sunshine. Breakfast was interesting; 5-tables for the entire hotel and one delightful lady who struggles valiently to keep urns of hot water readily available. Take our tip and grab your favoured dry cereal then head for your room. The Marqueen is probably a good hotel; it's certainly well sited, but never, ever, EVER accept any of the rooms abutting 116. EVER. Mehr

"marqueen hotel seattle"
The staff could not have been more helpful if they had tried hard!!! A very comfortable stay at the end of a family hol's.A very nice change to stay in a happily quirky hotel. thank you.
"Excellent staff"
Very helpful staff, would be happy to stay again.
Great character hotel in good location. Staff very welcoming. Big rooms include kitchen and sitting room. Bathrooms need to be updated. Breakfast included in price is a plus, but choices are limited.
"MarQueen in Seattle- I will go back"
Our recent stay at the MarQueen went better than I expected. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. The room was excellent value for our money- it was large with 2 queen beds, a separate sitting room, and a large kitchen that even included an oven and a breakfast nook. My husband was so pleased with how quiet the room was considering […] it was in a busy part of town. I feel like I found a bit of a Seattle gem in terms of hotels and I will stay here again! Mehr
"Great Hotel but neighborhood was an issue"
We stayed at the MarQueen the night before an Alaskan cruise. Overall the hotel was wonderful. The room was easily large enough for our family of five and all it's baggage. The staff was very pleasant and accomodating. The free breakfast the following morning was complimentary and more than enough before we hit the cruise buffets for a week. There are […] many good restaurants literally across the street, in case you stay for more than overnight and many tourist sites within walking distance. The only negative I have was the neighborhood. Queen Anne is supposed to be an upscale tourist area, but we found many vagrants in the area. When we arrived, one of my daughters and I took a short walk to visit the area and immediately found a bum on the street. She was scared, and we walked back to the hotel immediately. I was assured by the staff that the area is safe, but felt a little uncomfortable walking after dark with my family. Overall, an excellent choice to start our vacation and I would recommend it for anyone needing a place to stay for 1-2 days. Mehr
"MarQueen is a gem!"
great hotel. walking distance to the Space Needle, Kerry Park as well as neighborhood cafes and restaurants. Staff was awesome and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend! Thanks for being great hosts during our vacation!
"Marqueen Hotel - close to Seattle Center"
Our second stay (in 2 weeks) was just as awesome as the first! Our room faced Queen Anne Ave which can be quite noisy but the hotel has installed soundproofing windows - they were amazing! The staff is very friendly and helpful.
"Valet"
The valet is really expensive and ended up scratching my rental cars bumper. I did not notice until I returned car and I only drove the car out of the lot one day!!!
"Marqueen Hotel - close to Seattle Center"
The hotel was wonderful! The staff is friendly and very efficient. The hotel is in the Queen Anne neighborhood close to the Seattle Center. The neighborhood has grocery shopping, great restaurants, lots of coffee shops and if you like going up and down the hills of Seattle, it's fun to walk downtown and to the waterfront. We plan to stay there again […] in August when we return for a family wedding. Mehr

Older style hotel. Friendly staff, excellent location near Seattle Centre.
"Perfect long weekend"
I booked this hotel because of it's character and I wasn't disappointed. I was super impressed by the staff. From the phone call to our room from the front desk 10 minutes after we arrived to make sure we had not questions or concerns to the valet parking loading our bags before we could get back from the coffee shop with our lattes upon check out they […] out performed my expectations. It was quaint and warm and subtle and I look forward to being able to return. Mehr
"Great Romantic Getaway"
The perfect place to stay while dining at Toulouse Petit and attending the opera! It was romantic, and the room felt more like our own little apartment than a hotel room. The staff was very attentive and helpful and was able to accomodate a late check out. I will return!

"Old World Elegance in the heart of Seattle"
The MarQueen has all the amentities necessaary for a short or a long stay. Close to all the downtown tourist sites. Many and varied restaurant selection - less than a block away. And, if you want to take advantage of the ensuite kitchen you could walk a block to the supermarket and pick up something from their deli. I will make the MarQueen my regular […] stop whenever I am in the area. Mehr
"Excellent!"
We were leaving on a cruise to Alaska and we stayed two nights at this hotel. We couldn't have been more pleased. The accomodations were wonderful and so was the service. They went way out of their way to be helpful. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay there again!

"Great Bargain"
We loved our stay at this hotel. We were a family group and the attention paid to our grandson was especially heart warming. The kitchens provide the opportunity for eating in (and there is a great grocery store nearby), but the neighborhood has many good ethnic restaurants. Although the bathrooms are older, the hotel has done the best they can to spruce […] them up and the towels and toilettries were all good quality. A small container of dish soap and a tea-towel would have been nice, but we had no significant complaints. Mehr
"Marqueen Hotel Seattle"
/we were very happy with our hotel and room. The breakfast was very convenient, and we enjoyed it. the location was good for visiting tourist attractions. Too bad about parking, but we mostly walked. would come and stay again. thanks
"Pretty average."
We stayed at the Marqueen on Easter Weekend. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was continental but very good. The hotel is old...not very up to date to say the least. My concern was the cleanliness, one corner of the bathroom was filthy from when we arrived until we left. A pile of flaked paint and dust sat in the corner for 3 days. The hotel is […] a long walk from Pikes Market and the pier, and a heck of a long way from Safeco field. Mehr
