Wenn man/frau bedenkt, dass es für fünfunddreißíg Euröner in HongKong ne Schuhschachtel gibt und man/frau dann nach Shenzhen kommt und dort für das gleiche Geld ein richtig schönes Hotelzimmer bekommt, gibt es echt nichts mehr zu meckern. ACHTUNG. Das Hotel ist falsch in der Karte eingezeichnet, es befindet sich direkt an der U-Bahn Station "Hubei". Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder im Gold Hotel absteigen.

Dieses Hotel liegt zwar nicht im direkten Zentrum Hongkongs. Doch ist alles, was man als Wochentourist sehen und erleben moechte innerhalb eines 60min-Spazierganges erreichbar. Der Ausblick reicht zwar auf riesige Wohnblocks - doch fanden wir dies eher charmant. Weiterhin ist das Personal freundlich und das gesamte Hotel sehr reinlich. Wir wuerden es definitif weiterempfehlen. Besonders, da es in Hong Kong nicht billiger zu gehen scheint.

Das Conrad Hong Kong ist erstklassig in jeder Beziehung. Unser geräumiges Zimmer auf der 53. Etage bot einen grandiosen Blick über den Hafen auf Kowloon. Das grosszügige Bad mit Wann und separater Duche sowie WC ist deckenhoch mit Marmor gekachelt und praktisch ausgestattet. Alle Räume und Flure sind geräuschabsorbierend mit dicken Teppichen ausgelegt. Auch Wände und Fenster sind geräuschdicht. Das Hotel bietet mehrere sehr gute Restaurants. Der Service ist in allen Bereichen perfekt. Auch ausserhalb des Hotels in den vielen Shopping Malls stehen viele unterschiedliche Restaurants in Fußwegentfernung zur Auswahl.

Insgesamt ein gutes, sauberes Hotel mit guter Anbindung zum Zenrum von Hongkong Island durch öffentliche Verkehrsmittel. Es ist zwar nicht sonderlich günstig aber welches Hotel mit gutem Komfort ist wirklich günstig auf Hongkong Island? Positiv ist auch die Anbindung zum Flughafen. Der Airport Bus A12 hält direkt gegenüber des Hotels.

Das Gold Coast Hotel liegt etwas abseits des Stadtzentrums, was es aber sehr interessant macht. etwa 100m vom Hotel gibt es einen Strand zum Spazieren und sogar ein paar öffentliche Grillplätze mit Meerblick. Die Stadt ist mit dem Hotelshuttle oder dem ÖV gut zu erreichen. Das kostet zwar extra, ist aber zu verkraften. Dafür kann man abends gut entspannen und ist abseits der grossen Hektik. Dank Nachtbus kann man auch bis spät in der Nacht in Hong Kong unterwegs sein. Etwa 200m vom Hotel gibt es ein kleines Einkaufszentrum mit Supermarkt, Geldautomat, Restaurants & Fast Food, Bars und kleinen Geschäften. Hier kann man nett und mit Meerblick Frühstücken, Essen oder einfach etwas trinken. Vor allem das Restaurant (bzw. die Bar) im oberen Stock ist sehr gut, aber leicht zu übersehen.

Sehr gut für Reisende nach China, weil das Hotel direkt am Bahnhof liegt.Service gut, Personal freundlich, Zimmer sind sauber. Hotel kann sogar Visum für China arrangieren innerhalb von 2 Tagen. "Vor- und Nachteile"
Wir blieben 5 Nächte und hätten wohl das upgrade nehmen sollen, denn das Basiszimmer war relativ klein (man konnte nicht mal den Koffer aufgeklappt lassen). Außerdem war es im Zimmer relativ kalt. Wir schalteten die Heizung ein, aber aus den Belüftungsschlitzen kam es nur kalt raus... Die Lage ist eher dezentral, aber durch den Shuttlebus zur Tsim Sha […] Tsui Station bzw der Möglichkeit, zu Fuß zur Hung Hom Fährstation zu gehen, war es trotzdem okay. Außerdem gibt es gleich ein angeschlossenes Einkaufszentrum mit etlichen Restaurants und einem food court, wo es billiges Essen hab. In der Hotelbeschreibung stand "kostenloses Mineralwasser". In all den anderen chinesischen Hotels bedeutete dies, dass man jeden Tag welches bekommt. Dort wurden wir auf Anfrage darauf hingewiesen, dass es das Mineralwasser nur am ersten Tag bei der Anreise gibt. Ärgerlich! Mehr
"veraltete Zimmereinrichtung"
Die Zimmereinrichtung ist recht veraltet bzw. abgewohnt - das steht sehr im Gegensatz zum äußeren Erscheinungsbild dieses Hotels. Die etwas dezentrale Lage wird durch den Shuttlebus-Service wieder wettgemacht. Ein großes Kompliment dem Frühstücksbuffet.

I stayed here because of the very close proximity to the Hung Hom MTR station. I stayed for 2 separate 1-night stays within one week of each other. Efficient check-in and check out both times. "my feeling of this hotel"
this hotel's service is not as good as before. maybe too many tourist groups also stay at this hotel. it is ok in general. room is very small and service is just acceptable. i don't think it is value for money.
"Nice Place--Tiny Room"
The club floor is worth the price but it does not get you a better room and I sense the hotel assigns the less desirable rooms to non-hotel reservation sources. Our view was into some other buildings when many rooms of the same size looked out over the Hong Kong skyline.

My wife and I stayed at the Harbour Plaza Metropolis in April 2012. The hotel is really nice. Professional staff and very helpful. The location is not the best but you can walk to the tram from inside the hotel. They also have a free shuttle to and from the major shopping centers which was helpful! The only downside I would give it , I would probably […] give all rooms in Hong Kong, they are smaller than you expect. We went from a room in Manila which was huge to a room in Hong Kong that you could barely move around in. But we got used to it. I would stay here again, its a great price for the quality of the hotel. Just remember, most rooms in Hong Kong will be small. Mehr

"Harbour Plaza Metropolis Kowloon"
Lovely Hotel, very easy to get to from Hong Kong Airport, with Train and free shuttle bus, and another free shuttle into the local spots. Found breakfast expensive though at $176.00. All in all though would definitely recommend this hotel, in fact have already done so.

I'm HK local people and spend 4 night for lunar new year, but the staff wasn't so friendly and nice, eevn they have bell boy to open the door for customer entry or exit, they just will do that for foreiger and when i was keep walking directly to exit, they were pretend couldn't see me and keep talking to each others.

We had problem with the next rooms client who were at the wedding and keep talking to each other by yelling and keep there door open. The hotel is very nice and as long as you ask for a non smoking room there shouldn't be a problem. The one problem with the place is that its on top of a hill of a sorts so you either need to take a taxi from the place or hike up the thing to get to your room from the subway. This hotel was very comfortable and quiet, it has good cheap eating places locally and very close to the train station. Rooms can be small but that is common in Hong Kong, we had a suite which was roomy and had two separate areas, to sleep and relax and eat.

"The Plaza Metropolis with good access to centre"
We bought the club package which enabled you to have breakfast included plus evening drinks and nibbles which was well worth spending the extra money on. You had a special lounge with fantastic views over the harbour and were well looked after. I would go there again and do the same booking. Very expensive when I stayed there but the outdoor pool was great and always very quiet too. The location is ideal as it's not bang in the centre of the city. "Rooms are ok but still have the old TV's"
For the quality and rating of the hotel I was surprise to find an old bulky and beat up TV on my room and taking a large space on my desk. This was truly an inconvenience since I do a lot of my work from the hotel. Other than that the service and attention was excellent.

Upon our arrivlal we immediately informed that the room was very small and not comfortable for 2 adults and a child, and ask to upgrade for additonal 300 dollars or so. We have declined and stayed with into room withouth a view. Defenitely paid for a room with harbor view but if your room is on 9th floor there will be no view of anything but a tree […] . Mehr

"Hong Kong HPM - not as expected"
We stayed 3 nights recently. Airport Express to Kowloon stn then K! free shuttle to hotel was nice. The reception area was like a teller counter in a bank, everyone (check in or out) has to Q up (waste of time and inefficiency), asked for express check in (we book for Superior One-Bedroom Suite and thought that it belongs to different category),but […] no luck. Since we booked for smoking and twin beds, again no luck, nothing like that for us, only one queen been and can turn the sofa into a bed in the living room. We insisted we are here for holiday and wanted to sleep in bed rather than on sofa. How about the club lounge for relax and coffee? no sir, not in your package! The receptionist talked to the manager and he "upgraded" us to a room better that the one we original request (we were tole). Entered the "upgraded room" and what a disappointment: the twin beds are for teenagers, the furnitures are old and look like leftover from last century; the room is actually two single rooms remade into one "suite" (two doors made into one, the wall between two room is intack, you have to walk to the door and make a turn into the living room!). First morning breakfast (thank god the hotel kept its promise of a free breakfast), unlike what we read from other reviewers, that food is ok but not excellent (they thousand island salad dressing is so watery, and no oilive oil for a healthier choice). After breakfast, we saw no newspaper and called for it, but sir, newspaper is not in your package(Superior One-Bedroom Suite has no newspaper provided!) The free shuttle bus to Kowloon Hotel is on time and very good service but after two trips we got so tired of making sure on time particularly in return trip. We can't help but to hope for quicly saying goodbye to this hotel and never return. This was my first time at this hotel and I booked it because of the favourable reviews on Trip Advisor.I liked it because it is quiet and not too far from Kowloon shopping district around Tsim Tsha Tsui. I followed the hotel shuttle schedule downtown and had no problem getting around. There is a free airport express shuttle direct from the hotel to […] Kowloon Station where you can catch the airport express to the airport. I found that the cheapest way to get to the airport. Kids in neighbour are running around and make noises. I asked manager shut them off because it was 11:30pm. It took long to make them quiet.
