I wanted to be close to my daugter who is a student at AUB, so the location was excellent and the hotel was super great, very friendly staff great room great breakfast, I also had my 10 year old boy with me and the game area downstairs was just perfect for him.

I booked a superior room, which was on the 15th floor and had a nice view of the ocean and roof tops of the surrounding Hamra neighbourhood. The location is super - convenient, close to shops, restaurants and bars, and the views are fantastic! Everything else is average - the rooms are a bit small, the hotel needs a refurbishment. And the internet was […] a nightmare. I paid 20 USD + 10% VAT for a 24 hr wireless service. At no time are two computers or a computer and a smartphone allowed to be logged in simultaneously, so i needed to switch off between laptop and phone endlessly. Every time the phone goes to sleep you get automatically logged out, and have to enter again an 8-digit login and an 8-digit password. Lebanon now has 3G technology and next time when visiting buy a 3G dongle, stick it into your laptop and go. You will save money and wont have to bother with the ridiculous Crowne Plaza system. Mehr

Clean hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Good central location. Would stay here again. We upgraded to an Executive room. The Executive lounge was very small and food and beverages available was pretty limited (snacks only available between 6.30pm-8.30pm) in comparison to other exec lounges I have used.

Ever since my first stay at this hotel, it has rocketed to one of my favorite places to stay... period. The Crowne Plaza on Hamra was overall a good hotel. Housekeeping service was quite slow. We lost hot water for 2 days.

This was my first stay at the hotel and I would not recommend it to anyone purely because of front desk staff attitude. My greeting at reception when I first arrived was zero, as front desk staff only great you if you show a 5 dollar note to them. I had to wait for 10 minutes until I was served, even though there was no one else waiting as front desk […] staff were chatting to each other (and I understand Arabic) about hotel management and problems. Anyway, the room is very good and very clean and it was also very quiet, and that’s what I look for when I am travelling on business trips. I had access to the executive lounge ‘’with extra cost’’ because I needed some peace when I was working and internet connection was available there too. Staff at the lounge were excellent and they really take care of you and treat you like a guest. Bottom line, I dealt with front desk staff on several occasions and with different members and it seems like they all have attitude problem and forced to work there. Excellent, perfect location with loads of bueatiful resturants, bars and cafes nearby. close to the prom only a 10 minute walk. taxis at the hotel are over priced, with some rip off drivers, be careful and bargain. Food at the hotel is average, far from the best i have had, use the cafes nearby instead.

All very good with two disappointments. Indoor pool was in with the restaurant so unable to use. Bad opening times for the pool and the room towels were so old they were frayed and like cardboard.

Not what we expected from a five-star, or even four-star hotel. Housekeeping could never leave robes and towels for all in the room, we always had to call for more and wait. And wait. Which is surprising considering the extreme amount of knocks we had on our door every single day. The house keeping, the fruit guy, the one asking if things were ok (but […] with no will to fix anything) and, most annoyingly of all, as soon as we'd had our room service delivered, there'd be a guy asking for the trays back. Then all would come again a half-hour later. When ordering food from room service, they'd omit things without asking first only to tell us they were out of the ingredients when we called again. Might have wanted to know that before-hand... Also, the house-keeping had their definition of "trash" and would throw away things like receipts and shopping bags lying around. The location is excellent! you can easily access shops, restaurants, take a walk have a cup of coffee. There are 2 things that I had an issue with: - we requested a non smoking room however the room smelled like fresh smoke! when we went to sleep it turned out to be the smell of the bed sheets and pillows.. when they changed them the next day the smell […] was gone (however, it is best to stay in a non smoking floor if you prefer not to smell it at all as the smell fills the corridors outside) - a few times I had to call twice to get what i reqeusted (not the food but the other things like a plug or a technical support for internet and the checkout) Overall, the experience was nice and i would certainly prefer to stay at the same hotel in my next visit to Beirut! this hotel is good located at Hamra street, but don't do your reservation in Eid, cause you'll pay more for extra service like"extra bed" and they will tell you that they are run off it and of course you'll not get your money back since you your reservation is prepaid.

I recommend this hotel for its strategic location within the centre (walking distance from almost everywhere) and very comfortable rooms. However, a free Wi-Fi should have been included as part of the services.

This hotel was one of the better hotels that Beirut has to offer. The staff was courteous and helpful most of the time. Once in the room I found it to be average sized and clean but the windows were very dirty. Upon calling housekeeping they were very apologetic and resolved the issue as best they could right away. Traffic is very heavy in this area. The rooms and floors that are listed as non smoking do have smokers there. There are also smoking bins on every floor at the elevators. Room service vacumming outside the room at 930pm one night and 10pm another night. Room service knocking on the door and coming in the room at 1030pm. Front desk calling twice during my stay to try and get me to sign up for Priority Club. Internet card was $5 Us for 1 hour - and they added tax to that at check out.

It should be a 4 star hotel and not 5. ACs were a bit problematic. Elevators one day were not working so we had to walk 10 Floors down with our high heels. Rooms were clean but pillows sometimes were not changed. Reservations made by the hotel Guest Services desk were shockingly bad - very bad recommendations to restaurants and somewhat not helpful. […] Security personnel are rude. The Hotel has a great location if you like lively, more public areas. (The more luxury areas are on the Verdun street and on the Downtown.) There are too many mid-priced shops in this area. Room was clean, but carpets need to be clean immediately. They served fruits and water everyday, for free. The breakfast was great and diverse.
