This is the second time I am staying at this hotel and this is the second time it has no heat.. I just don't understand how a business can get away with stuff like that when you are paying for a suite for top dollars...Definitely not recommending this place to anyone..

Overall had a good experience at the hotel. The rooms were HUGE. Almost took big lol. I was shocked at the size of our room. Only 2 glasses in the room. Everytime u want to go for a smoke at night you have to let the desk clerk let u in after.. That was a little annoying. I was happy regarding the cleanliness

The spacious rooms are marvelous, the location of the hotel is well situated in the core of Montreal. You can walk to various events. The garage parking is less to be desired and the unattended at night time parking is also a pain. The heat regulation in some rooms are also indesirable.

Super nice and large room right in the quartier latin

The hotel was in the most convenient location!! The room has a great set up with fridge, stove, and microwave. It did seem as though their housekeeping staff forgot how to use a vacuum or broom. AND, unless you know french, you will only have two channels to watch.

This property is not a normal "hotel" and might be a little hard to find but I consider it a hidden gem. The room we had was actually in an adjacent apartment building and was HUGE with nice kitchen and a 2nd floor loft. The loft lives up to its promise of offering an unconventional hotel experience and it does so at a price point which is equivalent to other hotels in down-town Montreal. I would strongly consider it should I make a return trip. That being said, the experience was not entirely positive. The pictures do not lie. The room is that large. It was actually […] larger than pictured. Possibly too large. Being across the room almost requires a shout. Stylistically, it is open concept to the max. Which isn't a good thing. Separation between the bed area and the lounge area would go a long way to make the space seem less empty. In the end, it is a little much for two people but if you invited others to the room it would not feel cramped. I suspect even 20 guests would not feel cramped though they may not have a place to sit. The room appointments were modern, though sparse but decidedly average when it comes to comfort. The lounge seating was in a nice L shape but was in two unconnected pieces. On hardwood floors. Not hard to imagine why this is a problem. The bed was nice but far from the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Room comfort on the whole is average mainly due to the heating. In our room they used radiator style heating. Which isn't a problem. However, lack of a thermostat is. When we arrived it was somewhat cool but by morning it was uncomfortably warm. Had I not discovered how to turn the system off, I suspect the second night would have been less enjoyable. The soundproofing could have been done slightly better. We could hear others walking around on hardwood floors and hall traffic in the morning was audible. The bathroom area is surprisingly small ,considering the size of the loft but adequate enough. Probably on par with most other hotel bathrooms. The lack of towels and counter space are the real negatives here. Really great rooms, very classy, a little hidden away, took a few minutes to locate entrance, beautiful rooms, amazing hotel would highly reccomend and return again. Plus there was a bath I our room which our reservation suggested there would not be. ;-) check it out.

My wife and I stayed there for one night and truly enjoyed it. The room was clean and very spacious; we did not feel like we were in a hotel but rather a nice loft apartment. Many options close by for dining or simply for a drink. A little tricky to find, could use better signage off of St.Denis, but that is a minor thing. the rooms are big but there's no room services!!! and no drink or ice machine, and breakfest sucks!!! also there's a curfew!!! after 9pm they luck the doors and even parking suckes, no space and they just keep asking for money to park in there parking space but they will give your space to someone else!!! i would never go back to that place!!!

Great hotel if you want to be in a fun neighborhood and need no handholding from hotel staff in terms of recommendations, directions, etc. Very close to Berri UQAM bus/train station which is great for getting around town and to or from the airport. Room was way bigger than we expected and stylish although some finishes were a bit rough (ie door hinge […] in bathroom was broken). One problem, which was probably our fault anyway is that we walked right by it twice while looking for it. The hotel is not directly on Rue St. Denis, it is on a terrace of the street and not clearly visible from the street. Mehr

Very nice hotel, extremely well located. The rooms have and incredibly large size. Loft 406 has a very luxurious bathroom. Service is simple yet satisfying. Staff is very accessible. Breakfast in lobby is just okay, but I've seen much worst in much more expensive hotels. The bed was one of the most confortable I've ever slept in. Only two little problema […] : not a single glass in the room (not even a plastic one) and check out at 11AM (usually at noon in most hotels). Mehr

dont be fool for the location ... horrible staff and hotel... very rude and not helpful at all. Parking is a nightmare. Different prices (one from the hotel staff, other from the parking company). I can stress enough how the staff is rude and not well trained. After, this review you still insist in this hotel... then beware of the coldness of the rooms […] (most os the rooms are in the basement). Hotel was nice. Desk staff was friendly. Convenient to walking to main Montreal attractions. Placed us in their apartment suite upon arrival. Desk staff helped with questions about Montreal. We parked in their garage the first night and didn't move the car until after checkout. The parking attendant rudely wrote on a stapled pad on the surface of our […] car causing a scratch on our New Car. We immediately called the front desk and their response was simply to "talk to her". Felt the attendant was unprofessional and we weren't satisfied with the response we received to our complaint. This hotel should have been apartments. great spacious rooms. hard to navigate through the actual hotel and hallways. seems like there was very little thought put towards the construction of this hotel. Do not be fooled by the hotel sign on sherbrook since the hotel is actually on saint denis. i got a parking ticket for 85 dollars as i parked to check […] in. Over all it is a clean hotel (with lots of noise since it is an old building), great location. Not sure if i would stay there again as i would prefer a traditional hotel room feel. Mehr

Staff was very rude and not helpful... Parking in the hotel was a struggle and the hotel staff didn't help at all. I will not stay there again.

We were pleasantly surprised with the large room/suite - beautifully furnished. One small complaint was there were no drinking glasses in the room and no tea/coffee maker.

The hotel rooms are huge!! Very nicely decorated in a Asian modern theme. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone! I can't wait to stay again! The ratings were a little odd about a year ago but the hotel has changed in a great way!

I would definitely stay here again. The hotel is tucked nicely among residential buildings on a quaint side street of Rue St. Denise. Very nice large loft room. The neighborhood along Rue St. Denise north of the hotel is a great. Hotel staff was helpful. Hard to find this place when you're driving. Finally found it and they double booked my hotel room. Unreliable.

The Loft is conveniently located, near various restaurants. Love the spacious rooms and the huge bath. The uniqueness of this hotel is that each room has a different ambiance. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Located in Latin Quarter, central to old Montreal and in walking distance to most of Montreal, the Loft hotel is very well designed. The room we had was one of the biggest I have ever stayed in - staff were excellent and the hotel was clean and tidy.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Loft in Montreal - it was spacious and well decorated. Friendly, helpful staff and great breakfast. The only negative aspect to our stay was the 20 minute check-in.

We just lucked upon this great hotel right in the Latin quarter. The room was big and open and fresh. Comfortable bed. Great view. Only little glitch was that they first put us in a traditional room that was not equipped with kitchen, frig, coffee maker, etc., although that was how the accommodation was described. When we pointed it out to the clerk, […] he said he figured we didn't really want all those amenities since we were only staying 2 nights. Huh? But they gladly changed us and it was lovely. Great walking distance to funky fun spots in one direction and lovely parks and good outdoor bistros in another direction. Would highly recommend. Mehr

NIce location, but the poor quality of the service from the get go killed my experience. It feels they hired a bunch clueless employees to deal with the management of the guests. Poor welcoming, no basic utilities in the room (glasses, garbage, soap, etc.) and they didn't pluged properly the ac, therefore the room temperature was over 39 degrees!!! In […] conclusion, very good looking hotel, has great potential, but at this point this hotel does not worth the money that I have spent for my stay and their lack of customer manner really killed my experience... The room is huge and very nice, although there is no phone in the room and the recption area looks to be under construction. The Hotel has great potentiasl, but no ammenities liek soap in the room and no way to call the front desk was just frustrating. I also got a small chard of glass in my foot coming out of the bathroom, so that made me question […] the houskeeping. Everything about our stay was fantastic, the location is perfect, walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The staff even made a special batch of croissants for my 2 year old daughter after the breakfast hour had ended. Excellent hotel in a fantastic converted loft space. The rooms are magnificent and extremely comfortable. Though they are sparce on some usual hotel amenities (no bar fridge or bath tub), they have everything you actually need and it is all top notch. we recently stayed at the Loft hotel and was very impressed. it was exactly what i hoped for. big soft beds airy light floor to ceiling windows all around. perfect blend of raw to simple elegance. the location is perfect. close to a million restaruants, and a block to the metro yet quietly set back from the main road ( perhaps not all lofts are like […] this , but our room on the 5th level certainly was.) Luckily we arrived by taxi ,otherwise I do not think we would have found the front door on our own as it is tucked into a side street with no hotel signage at the main entry. if there were things to critisize...the hallways are very confusing due to the massive size of rooms and construction/joining of the various buildings to form this hotel it is a maze. a small map on every couple bends would be helpful as would signage with arrows pointing toward a set of room numbers. till i had been up and down the stairs a few times, i did get lost in the hallway system. it would also be very nice if they would take one of the unfinihsed rooms and introduce some excersize equipment, have a bell hop or someone that can assist with luggage. there are dvd players and stereos in the rooms, but we weren't offered any sort information on movies that may be available to obtain from the lobby - did any such thing exist? a little variety on the continental breakfast would have been nice after 3 days. a bench outside for smokers, or an area on a terrace without walking through the lobby would be nice as well, perhaps with an umbella or awning for rainy days. overall our stay was great. our room was great and the staff was great. Our first room had no blind, and a view of another appt window, so we requested a room change. We were switched to a larger room and then had to switch again the next night as the previous one was booked. Also, there was lots of construction going on, which woke us up quite early. Despite all this I would stay there again as the rooms were large and […] spacious (we were in three different rooms over the course of two three days), beds were comfortable, and we loved the unique feel the hotel offered. This hotel has beautiful rooms but is not yet done.The room do not have phones, the common areas are not yet finished also hallways are not finished{ no enough lights no signs etc...}. Also website said parking free yet cost $. Also hotel room windows and floors were very dirty.

This hotel is in a wonderful location. The rooms are suits - or lofts, and are stark, but comfortable and clean. The hotel has no real facilities except for the front desk, but there is a laundry. The parking is accessed from behind the hotel, on another road, and is adequate but expensive. There are several rooms that the hotel uses for events and […] the bathrooms for the events are located in the hallways used to access rooms. However, the staff keep the events guests away from the rooms, and there was no noise at all from the event which made it for the room. Overall, it was really nice having the room, a kitchen, and being located at the heart of St. Denis. The downside is that the hotel doesn't have many facilities such as a weight room or a bar, but it is located right in the heart of St. Denis. Mehr
