GrandStay Residential Suites - Madison East - Madison

What a nice surprise! Our moderately-priced "room" included a kitchenette with full-size fridge, breakfast bar, living room, bedroom and bath. There were large TVs in both LR and BR, in wall niches so they were out of the way. The bed was a little on the hard side, and the sleeper-sofa in the LR was likewise a little upright and firm. The decor was […] nice. While I didn't check out the fitness room, the pool looked pretty small; that wasn't an interest of ours, though. We initially couldn't get into our room and had to trek back to the Front Desk to have the key reprogrammed; that is irritating when it happens. Also, for unknown reasons, they were vacuuming nearby (the hallway, perhaps?) at about 8 pm; it was loud enough that we had to turn up the TV. The room generally was quiet, although we could hear footsteps above us (we were on the middle of three floors). The "continental" breakfast served the next morning was well beyond what we expected, based on previous experiences. There were plenty of options, including different kinds of hot food and proteins, and it was tasty. The attendant was friendly and helpful. All in all, our stay was an excellent value and quite enjoyable. Mehr

The breakfast buffet is the best we have had in recent travels.

Great hotel for the price. I would definitely stay here again. Very clean and spacious! Such a deal!!

Staff makes you fell mopst welcome here. Breakfast staff was outstanding and caring much better tham most hotels. Other than on the outskirts of town this was a grat stay.

Everything was very nice.

The person at the desk could be a little more warm and inviting. As others have commented, you can hear the foot traffic above you if you are in a lower floor, but it was minor. The area is queit with very little traffic noise. I've already booked another stay there and I would recommend it to others.

Our stay was very nice. Great staff, room was nice, Breakfast was great! We brought our Dog and he loved the big yard, nice lawn. My only suggestion would be to have signs and perhaps plastic bags for the guests to remind them to pick up their dog's doo. We arrived on Friday night and the lawn was clear of dog doo. We wanted to stay the night at a hotel before going to another resort so we booked online and got this place. Never heard of it never stayed there and checked in really late! BUT the service was excellent. We had 2 kids with us and we used the hot tub and pool the attendant was so awesome he checked the pools for levels and did what was necessary so […] our kids were safe in the water! The room and bed were very spacious and comfy. i will be recommending this place to friends and fam. Mehr

This hotel is the nicest and friendliest that we found on our trip so far. The room is huge, all is new and it is equipped with love. Very nice ! Also the stuff is extraordinarily corteous and helpful.

The Grand Stay offerred comfort and Excellent customer service! Rooms are wonderful, staff are friendly and very helpful.....it is a tremendous value for your dollar!

I would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends or to stay here again myself.

We were thrilled with this hotel. I thought we were getting a studio, and we got a separate bedroom. The breakfast in the morning was great. I would recommend the top floor...we were on the second and could hear the footsteps (or footstomps) from the room above us. I spent one night with my mother who is middle aged (me being a college aged woman) and it was a satisfactory hotel. The staff was friendly, but we did not have any special requests. The hotel room was a little small and extremely hot when we checked in due to it being March - it was a decent space and we turned the air on which took about 2 hours to […] have an impact. The only downfall was that kids were running around, like many other hotels. We were busy until 10 pm when we came back to the hotel to sleep and left at 9 am so the noise wasn't a huge issue. I would recommend the hotel to couples who can stay long enough to enjoy the ammenities in the room. Overall, nothing excellent or terrible! Mehr

Nice large room. Would stay again.

The only complaint we had was the upstairs noise. We think when the hotel isn`t full they shouldn`t put people directly above you. Of coarse you could blame the people for being so rude so late at night. Otherwise it`s a very nice hotel.

Extremely personable reception upon arrival. Noise between other rooms noticable. Not a problem of the hotel but of the architect and noise supression. A very nice variety of warm and cold items for breakfast. Easy to reach hotel and more than adequate parking. Within minutes of shopping, eating and movie theatre.

The room was very nice and clean. We loved the fact that the hot breakfast was served until 10:00 a.m. and it was very good.

This hotel offered suites at reasonable prices. The full size refrigerator that made ice was a bonus! The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Although the hotel was packed for the night, the atmosphere remained pleasant, except for the occassional kids running through the hallway. I blame that on the parents for not teaching their children manners. […] It offered an expanded breakfast, but we chose to go out instead. The pool and hot tub looked small, but nice. Great hotel, great staff, lots of fun! The pool was a little smaller than we would have liked, well our kids, but other than that, not a single complaint!

the hotel was very clean and the staff was exceptionally helpful telling us where we could find a sports bar which we did go to only 2 blocks away had a great evening!!!!!!!!

Excellent and very well serviced!

The hotel was very clean and ROOMY. Great deal for the cost (other hotels were the same cost but did not offer separate rooms). The breakfast was great. My only complaint is that my room had a faint smell of smoke. However, it was only noticeable when we first came in.

Nice suite, not outstanding. Disappointed in the noise level. Wall and floors seemed paper thin. Easy to hear neighbors and people above us. Breakfast was pretty average. Felt like the attendant should have been paying more attention to keeping things full. Front desk was very nice and helpful.

I was very impressed with the staff at this hotel. Professional, courteous, efficient, and very welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, real care given to the setup and maintenance. Having a multi cinema movie theatre across the street was a special perk. Also, a number a restuarnats in less then a 1/4 of a mile.

Close to the expressway and Washington St., convenient from that aspect. People all friendly. room great. Breakfast had a variety of items, but it was the same items Friday and Saturday. Many places I'ce stayed vary breakfast from the week compared to the weekend.

Everything about the hotel was fine EXCEPT the carpeting in my room! It was horrible. It was bunched in places, frayed, appeared dirty on the edges and had some tears in it. I detracted from an otherwise very well kept hotel.

Nice, quiet hotel with a full kitchenette. Breakfast was great. One night at this hotel was a fantastic deal.

This was the least expensive yet best hotel on our trip! The whole hotel was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The loby very cozy and inviting. Breakfast was great. Someone even walked around offering the guests freshly made omlets! I felt very safe jogging in the neighborhood. I will definately remember this hotel and be back again.

We booked this hotel for the wedding of our son. Many family members were attending and stayed at various other motels. This was one of the nicest around and within a few minutes of many fast food places, restaurants, malls, movie theatre, etc. The suites were very nice size and the breakfast great. To be honest, some of my siblings stayed at the Crowne […] Plaza hotel and this was much nicer. They had to pay around $8 for the breakfast buffet and the rooms were small, not suites. Would honest stay here again over some of the other places. Especially great for families with children! Mehr

We stayed at GrandStay on the way back from fishing. The room was very spacious and clean. I slept on the sofa. I had no problems. There was a complimentary breakfast that looked good, but my stomach was not up to partaking. The hotel faces a number of car dealerships and is near a commercial area with many franchise restaurants. We found a good Indian […] place within a ten minute drive. I would stay again. Mehr

The staff at the Grandstay was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were treated very well and will definitely consider staying there again.

The staff could not have been nicer! The breakfast was excellent also. Alot of choices, and well prepared. We would hestitate at all to stay here again
