Sonesta Bayfront Hotel Coconut Grove - Miami

Die Lage des Hotels ist ganz nett. Man hat Restaurants und Läden in unmittelbarer Nähe. Außerdem kann man von machen Zimmern die Aussicht aufs Meer genießen. Alllerdings wird wie überall in Miami fürs Parken des Autos nochmal ordentlich hingelangt. Alles in Allem ist es ein sehr ordentlches und angenhmes Hotel, in dem man sich wohl fühlen kann.

Dieses Hotel hat einen wunderbaren Ausblick auf die Bay. Am Pool (8. Stock) kann man wunderbar essen und sich erholen. Wer aber erwartet, dass man von hier aus zu Fuss an den Strand kann, wird enttäuscht werden. Dazu braucht man ein Auto. We stayed for 1 night in April 2012. Our room on the 21st floor had spectacular views if you stood 1 at a time on the minute balcony (no space for even 1 chair!) The room was very tired looking although spacious with lots of storage space. Breakfast was not good value especially as they were hoovering the floor around our table whilst we were eating. […] $23 for valet parking is not avoidable. Shame as the hotel is in a great location. Nice hotel, comfortable rooms. Restaurant food was good but overpriced. Enjoyed local restaurant food much more. Enjoyed our stay prior to a cruise, nice place to relax.

Supremely comfortable beds, great bedroom, great view etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful, however the breakfast staff simply don't speak or understand English very well at all(Nice people though). The cupboeard doors in the bathroom were chipped and slightly tatty but this does not detract from the superb overall experience we had. Location, […] comfort , ambeince were all great. This hotel has everything going for it. From it's drop dead gorgeous roof top pool and restaurant to it's fabulous location. Will return at the earliest opportunity. The Garden restaurant next door is a great spot to eat as well.

Except for check-in, our stay was great. The neighborhood is loaded with shops and restaurants, and the marinas are beautiful. The girl (Daniella) who checked us in was not friendly and not accomodating. Our room wasn't ready, and when we would not take a standard room (we had reserved one with a kitchen), she was very brusque. She said she would call […] us when our room was ready, but she never did. We checked back a few hours later and the gal at the desk cheerfully told us our room was ready (no idea how long it had been....) Mehr

This hotel was outstanding for quality & price. Absolutely a wonderful location- close to Coconut Grove, park and waterfront. Restaurant food very good & reasonable prices, however service was slow. The hotel was very clean & updated.

The only 4* in this hotel was probably the lobby and the lift.

Sonesta Bay Hotel was absolutely fabulous. Booked online not knowing other than the photos but it was all that and more. Would highly recommend.

The Sonesta was great to stay at. Very clean and cool and the lobby smells amazing!!! Clean and modern hotel, with great amenities. Beautiful view overlooking the bay. Not close to South Beach, so dont stay here if you are planning to hang out there. We were very relaxed at the Sonesta Bayfront and the neighbourhood is great too. We had to move 3 out of our 4 nights that we stayed at this hotel. The first night there were bed bugs on the sleeper couch! They moved us to a room that directly faced CocoWalk and there was LOUD music and noise until 3 AM. Impossible to sleep! They finally moved us to a room facing the marina and comped us amenities, although they did not tell us, […] so we were not able to take advantage of this. We will not be staying here again, nor do I recommend this hotel due to the noise level and questionable cleanliness. Mehr

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. It is well located for local restaurants etc and staff are friendly and helpful.

The hotel was very nicely appointed. Room very quite large for Miami. Restaurant was also good. About a block from Cocowalk which was nice. Improv is close, great Biscayne Bay views also. Easy to get to as well. Overall recommended.

Me and wife stayed at The Sonesta for three days. It is in a goo location and only about 10 minutes from South Beach, and shopping areas. The hotel is in excellent condition and staff were vey helpful. I would stay there again.

The hotel rooms are good with great views which ever aspect. Hotel pool is not very child friendly and there is no access ramp for buggies or wheelchairs. Other than those few moans it is a good hotel in great position near shops and lots of good restauants..

it's a good hotel, very clean

Stayed in for 3 days visiting Fl. and I'm happy with my decision that i stayed at Sonesta ..great pool , restaurant and the room is very spacious and clean. the staff are really friendly and helpful always catering to your needs ...Over all i definately will stay there again.

The Sonesta is conveniently located near the CocoWalk shopping center, which has a great variety of shops and restaurants. In addition, there are some great little independent restaurants within easy walking distance. Plus, if you stay in the suites, which have a full-size kitchen, you can walk to the Fresh Market, which has a terrific selection of […] fresh produce, organic food and beer/wines. My room was on the 19th floor, with a gorgeous view of the bay. I would definitely stay there again. Mehr

Clean as a high quality European hotel. Amazing lobby, rooms very clean and luxurious. Picked it randomly but was proud of my choice! Stayed in 16th floor in a room with a pool view and the view of the sailboats in the ocean. Would definitely stay there if I traveled to Miami again. Great quality per price. This hotel was simply lovely! The service of the staff is amazing...The amenities were great, the food was delish....clean rooms. Most of all-- the service was 5 star from the valet to the front desk to the room service...

This Hotel is very conveniently located if you want to be out of the main Miami traffic. Close to the Marina, limited shopping nearby (within walking distance) - but the Hotel itself is excellent. Some very good restaurants close by. I would stay there again if I did not need to be close the the main part of Miami. Taxi fare back to the airport was […] not funny. Mehr

1.We tried to rent some beach towels (in Miami!!!!) - couldn't get one. 2.Very expensive valley parking. 3.Don't drink on the pool($8 for a beer-ridiculous!!!). 4.Not very clean - found some hair on my sheets and in the bathroom. 5.Great location of the hotel - walked to restaurants.

I would recommend Sonesta Bayfront Hotel in Coconut Grove to everyone. The hotel is at a great location. I've been to Miami Beach several times but Coconut Grove is a better location for a nice and relaxing vacation. Extremely small room, but breath-taking view.

Great room, great view of the Bay, very clean. The food was Excellent Beds were wonderful We were not thrilled with the Bath setup. Needs updated Shower

I love this hotel! I have been staying here since April 2010 and have returned several times. The entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are great...clean and very up to date. I also love staying so close to the Grove for convenience to dining, movies, etc. It is also very convenient to the University of Miami.

Great location, close to many attractive sites in Miami. Staff are very pleasant and our room was immaculate with a great view of the bay. Nice workout room and pool. The adjacent night club that previous reviews refer to has apparently closed, although there are still bars in the area that make some noise at night, though it was hard to hear these […] from our room. Only quibbles would be the cost of using the business room/printer and the overwhelming lemon scent in the lobby/hallway. Consider seeing if you can park across the street in a pay lot, which would save a little on valet. Mehr

A very nice and nicely located hotel in Coconut Grove. Beautiful views of the Bay, excellent neighborhood and solid hotel restaurant. A real nice find...comfortable beds and pillows...enjoy.

Good hotel, available staff, average room comfort but clean and with a nice view on the harbour. Noisy refrigerator in our room and very average shower. Globally positive impression, well located if you have to do in Coconut groove or Key biscayne. We will go back.

the views are beautiful no matter what side of hotel your in. room service is very quick, and delicious. its walking distance to everything great in the grove. i will definitely be returning to this hotel.

Our room was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Breakfast in their restaurant was pricey but, delicious. Paying extra for a hotel bay view that was a sliver window space looking at the bay at a sharp angle. Paying $6.80 for use of the business center computer to print out 2 airplane boarding passes. Bath tub drain that sounded of running water whenever anyone above you used their bath. These kinds of 2nd rate details diminished what could have been a first […] rate experience. Excellent in all respects except late night noise from nearby bar was obnoxious even on the top floor

the hotel was very convenient to the museum, had a great pool and restaurant, and is SO much less noisy than the usual one we go to in Coconut Grove, which is right around the block, but is right on the street. Internet access was better as well, and so were the views!

The Bay view is what Florida's all about.

This was my first time at the Sonesta in Coconut Grove and from the minute I arrived I was treated with the best customer service I have ever had at a Hotel. The stay was awesome. We stay for three days. This hotel is excellent, well located in the very joyfull Coconut Grove. Nice, big, clean rooms. Brealfast at the terrace is a must, overlooking the port and sea. Will return!

When I arrived at my room, the maid had obviously been there because the bed was made and there were new soaps etc, but NOTHING was clean. There was hair all over the bathtub, stains on the towels, mold in the cabinet under the sink, etc... Also, even on the 9th floor there is so much street noise and noise from their heating system or water pipes or […] something in the walls that its nearly impossible to sleep. Mehr
