Beautiful location! The hotel was good for the price. They could make improvements but over all very nice. Restaurant was OK too. I would stay there again in a minute. The pools are cold, that's my biggest complaint.

The pool area was dirty. Many tiles missing from the pool and hot tub. It would have been nice to have the pool heated. It was very cold for September. More lounge chairs were needed and there should be no smoking. 2 guys were smoking cigars and smelling up the whole area.

The hotel has a good location.. with nice boat tours. Not too many places to eat around but the two locations within the hotel were nice. The hotel is inside the Glen canyon national park so you have to pay for the park admission and we were not aware of that. Also hotels.com had told me i would get a room that was lake facing and we dint get that. In […] general was a nice resort for a relaxing two day stay. Mehr

Ugly 70,s style hotel in a wonderful place. Dirty rooms, expensive...

Yes, its a little old and I generally have issues with "old" accomodations but had no real issues here as they do have things like nice shwoer, granite counters, comfortable beds, etc. Agree its not really "resort like" and might have been a bit less enjoyable if it was all about the room but we wwere there for boating Lake Powell so it was a place […] to stay the night. The grounds itself like the pools, grassy areas, sidewalks, etc were very nice. Views were awesome and having a patio to sit on and watch the sunset etc was awesome. Nice coffee shop, gift shop, lobby. The food was very good in my opinion ... breakfast buffet was great and we just did the bar for quicker service and had burgers and pizza which were great. Dinner needed reservations and seemed short on staff so skipped that. Prices were very fair on the bar food. Having a gas station was also very nice and gas was very reasonable to fill back up my boat, pick up ice, etc. They could use a few more boat parking spaces for the holiday weekends. It is a small town and for being their on a major holiday it was still very well run. Mostly college aged servers,etc. but they did a good job. Last Lake Powell visit we shore camped and having a nice hotel to return to was so much nicer and we never even went back into town for anything. Burned a little more fuel in the boat returning to the hotel but compared to all the junk you have to bring to camp it was a much more pleasant trip staying here. A lot of tour buses do come through and many staying so that also added to the experience to hang out with others. No problems with our hotels.com reservations even when other sites claimed it was sold out. Mehr

The price is ridiculously expensive. Don't use this hotel ever.

don't think about checking in early. I was 1/2 hr. early & waited in line only to find out we had to come back in another 1 1/2 hrs. The reseervation says 3:00 check-in, but the hotel said it's not until After 4.

THE REFRIGERATOR WAS NOT WORKING, THE FIRST CALL VERY PROMPT AND TRIED TURNINGTHE REFIG. UP. WHICH NOT WORK, 2ND CALL ALSO VERY PROMPT AND THEY REPLACED THE REFIG. NO PROBLEMS AFTER THAT.

We had some issues on the night of check-in. Most notably, we could not reach the hotel via the published phone number after 6pm. We wanted to do a late check-in, but the answering machine kept telling us to call back tomorrow. I called Hotels.com, and they assured me that my reservation was guaranteed until midnight. It was VERY difficult to find […] the resort in the dark. There are no lights out beyond the Glen Canyon Dam, there is poor signage, and we were using GPS, but when my GPS said we had arrived, we were actually in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by rock formations. We kept going, and eventually, we happened upon the resort. We arrived just after 10pm, and the manager was on-duty. He answered all of my questions, gave me my room keys, and we were off to the room. Except our room keys didn't work. We called the front desk, and the maintenance man arrived with new keys, but they also did not work. His master key did not work. The room was bolted from the inside. Well, long story short, someone was in the room and had bolted the door from the inside. The hotel had no record of anyone registered to that room, and they had cleared the room for check in when the cleaning staff hadcome through earlier in the day. My family sat on the floor in an un-airconditioned hallway on the 2nd floor for more than two hours amid all of our luggage, which we had to drag up the stairs because there is no elevator. Finally, the manager found us a room (I think it was one that was reserved, but the occupants had not shown up, and after midnight, the room became available, but I'm not sure). We had the added inconvenience of dragging our luggage down the stairs, clear across the property, and up some more stairs before we finally arrived at our room in building 7. It was so pitch black, I knew we had book a lake view room, but I sure couldn't see any lake, or anything else off the balcony. The room was cozy, and it was fairly clean, so we settled in. Friendly staff and comfortable, clean room allowed for a very pleasant weekend away. I suggest upgrading to the deluxe lakeview room, as I did, to enjoy the beautiful view of lake powell from your spacious balcony. I decided to do this trip on a motorcycle and it turned out to be a perfect day ride from Phoenix. I wouldn't necessarily clasify this […] as a "resort" but it does have dining options on site. After I was unable to locate the room service menu in the room, I called the front desk only to discover that they were in the process of printing room service menus and was told I could come to the lobby to pick one up. (Kind of defeats the purpose of room service) I imagine they will have them in the rooms soon. That's really the only suggestion I can come up with to improve the experience. I chose the Antelope Canyon boat tour and even though it was raining for part of it, I was very pleased with that choice. I will recommend this hotel to friends and family. I have to second an earlier review - same experience. Great location with the great view across the lake. Convenient for booking and catching a lake cruise - we did the canyon cruise and enjoyed it. But the building and rooms reminds me of a college dorm. The hallways are run down. The shower curtain / rod was too high spilling water all over the floor. […] The bathroom fan spewed out heat (maybe to dry the floor). Room air conditioning doesn't have a thermostat(runs continuously) and was noisy, Would hardly call this a resort. Mehr

Room was okay. A/C was noisy and clanked and gurgled all the time. No elevator to second story room. Hassle to haul luggagge up and down. Sliding glass door did not lock. Just had a bar to put down that was not explained to guests at check-in. Lighting was poor in room. Restaurant food was good. Wait service was slow at times. Our server was good, however, […] other servers seemed more intent on socializing with each other. Value/price paid for food was good at restaurants. Value/price paid for room was unacceptable. Mehr

Great location. The resort offers boating excursions that leave right from the hotel.

I thought the resort was beautiful and the pool area was very nice too.

At Lake Powell Resort the customer was not made aware the at the resort was in the PARK and a fee was require to enter the PARK. The park in very beautiful however so I got past the fee.

We love Lake Powell and have typically always stayed on a house boat. We decided to give the resort a try. In the summer months it's just so hot that it's hard to stay on the house boat and sleep comfortably. With the resort we played all day in the lake and were able to come back to a clean cool room. Proximity to Lake Powell was perfect. However, the hotel itself was just ok for the price. For example, we requested a complete set of towels on our way out for an excursion. When we returned there were no towels. However, I'd noticed when we returned there were packages of clean towels in the hall way so I went out opened them and took what we needed. […] Seems rather sloppy to say the least. Great location and loved the small pool by the lobby/restaurant/bar with the great view across the lake. The rooms are dismal. The bathroom fan spews out heat - a heat lamp in the desert? The balcony door doesn't lock. The air conditioning doesn't have a thermostat(runs continuously). The shower curtain rod was reinstalled too high thus the shower curtain […] didn't stay in the tub spilling water all over the floor. The hallways are run down but at least didn't have that typical coverup, deodorized smell. We loved the dinner cruise and the antelope cruise. The rooms just left a bad taste in our mouths. Mehr

You stay at lake Powell for the location-nothing else. The food was average to bad. They need more food options for families. The rooms are average and the jacuzzi didn't work on a regular basis. Being it is the only hotel in right by the lake, I would stay again. You can't beat the view!! Be informed, go somewhere else to eat!!

The recent renovations and room remodels complement the unequaled views and lake access. The room size is smaller than average, but our family of 4 fit well enough. Good thing we brought camping pads and sleeping bags. One of our kids sleeps on the floor, and there's no room for a roll away bed. Our ground floor room and new pathways allowed us to come […] and go through the patio door without trampling any landscaping. April was a quiet time at the lake and we enjoyed it tremendously. Mehr

We stayed during spring break in April and the resort was right on the lake so doing water sports with water craft were handy. The service was pretty slow though - check in took a very long time, phoning house keeping for extra towels took a long time, and getting some tours booked was slower than one would expect. The rooms were clean and nicely outfitted. […] As the hotel is on the water and away from the town of Pace (5 + miles away), there is no other traffic or noise to contend with. There are two pools and a fairly large restaurant and bar on the hotel site as well. Over all, our experience was good. The service was just very slow on a few things. Mehr

Great hotel Amazing scenery!!!!

Great hotel for our needs. Room was large, clean and moderately equiped. Not too fancy but totally fine. Great view from the little balcony which was nice too. Resaurant quite good if pricey and the breakfast coffee bar was also nice to have on site. The boat tour was also great and very convenient - we left right from the hotel lobby, couldn't get […] any easier than that. Only mild complaints would be an odd smell in the corridor and slow checkout process. Mehr

Nice pool, walking trails and beautiful scenery

We got a free upgrade to a lakeview room, good clean rooms, friendly staff and they seem to be very mindful of the environment they are in. They do not use plastic bottles for shampoo/soap, etc but dispensers instead which were well stocked. They recycle and do lots of other small things which shows that they are environmentally concious. I would stay […] there again just to encourage hotels like these. Note that they are a little further away from Page, AZ (~4 to 5 miles) and hence to any affordable restaurants. The restaurant on the hotel premises is a tad expensive. Mehr

We stayed at this hotel in the off season (early March). The property must be a renovated older resort as the look is modern, but the resort rooms/ layout seems stuck in the '60s. The room was a bit cramped and was missing some of the typical hotel stuff like a microwave. There was no breakfast available except at a small coffee window in the lobby […] (perhaps this is due to the season). We had trouble finding the hotel in the dark as there are few markings. Mehr

This was our anniversary and thought Lake Powell Resort was the nicest choice. Disappointed by the lack of basic services. Understanding it was off-season and services would be reduced, but the restaurant was closed both nights and had dinner one night in the lounge. We upgraded our accommodations to enjoy a view room. March is a quiet time of year for the resort and we enjoyed a quiet, peaceful few days. When there was a problem with the jacuzzi, a maintenance person fixed it within minutes. Management was very visible, walking around to make sure things were in tip top shape. The restaurant was good, too, where […] I enjoyed a delicious charbroiled burger. I also love Java City, a coffee/snack bar they have set up in the lobby. The coffee was hot and tasty, with nice people working each morning. I suggest this resort because it is the best in Page and the location can't be beat. Mehr

It was obvious it was the off season because there was little to no attention from the staff regarding the problems we encountered. Our television did not work properly (we could get only about five channels) and after two phone calls we still did not see a staff member who was addressing the problem. The ice machines (which were outside the building) […] had no ice in them. In an attempt to inquire about where to obtain ice, there was no one at the front desk and no way to alert anyone I was there. There are no elevators, so we had to drag our bags up and down the stairs to and from our room on the 2nd floor. The resort is isolated and there was no place to eat until the dining room and lounge opened at 4:00 p.m. For showering, there was only a dispenser on the wall with very low grade soap, shampoo and conditioner.
