Lt. Hotelprospekt = Continentales Frühstück, tatsächlich aber eine Farce. In der Ecke der ohnehin sehr "bescheidenen" Rezeption ohne Sitzgelegenheiten wurden Thermoskannen mit Tee und Kaffee und verpackte trockene Backwaren garniert mit wenig Obst bereitgestellt.

Ziemlich gute Lage, man kann die meisten Orte in San Francisco schnell erreichen. Super ist der gratis Parkplatz und W-LAN. Wir konnten das Auto sogar nach dem Auschecken noch ein paar Stunden stehen lassen bis wir an den Flughafen mussten. Kritikpunkt ist das Frühstück, welches aus Instantkaffee und süssem Gebäck besteht. Ansonsten super.

das Hotel ist einfach, aber praktisch und sauber. Besonders geschätzt haben wir den hoteleigenen Parkplatz. Zimmer und Bad sind angenehm geräumig, nicht mehr ganz neu, aber sehr sauber. Nur der Geruch von zu vielen Reinigungsmitteln war etwas störend.

war für 2 Tage in San Francisco o.K. liegt sehr gut, man kann fast alles zu Fuß erreichen.

Das Hotel liegt in einer guten Lage, Bus um die Ecke! Nicht zuviele Obdachlose in der Strasse!! Wie in anderen Stadtteilen. Zimmer sauber, ausgestattet mit Kühlschrank und Mikro. Das Frühstück beinhaltet Kaffee und süsses Gebäck!!

Very friendly and helpful staff - free parking makes it an even greater value

Our group felt that the Nob Hill Motor Inn far exceeded our expectations based on the ratings and reviews we had read. Our room was very spacious, impeccably clean and well-decorated. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom very pleasant. There are excellent and affordable restaurants nearby with a variety of international cuisines. We enjoyed having […] a refrigerator in our room. We caught a bus to Fishermen's Wharf just half a block from the hotel. The continental breaKfast consisted of an apple and a Danish, but for the money you can't expect the Grand Buffet. We will definitely return to this hotel. Mehr

This was a budget holiday for my family so I was not looking for marble floors. Nob hill motor inn is older but kept very clean. The staff were very helpful and were able to assist with all our needs. With basic breakfast included and parking this hotel met and exceeded our expectations for a 2 star accommodation. I would stay there again.

The hotel was fine, perfect foe spending the night in the city. However the website promised 2 queen beds, .and instead the hotel had 1double bed. Other than that the hotel was fine. Lastly the breakfast coffee was horrible

I was a bit uncertain when I booked the hotel online but trusted the reviews of others to guide my decision. I was pleasantly surprised. While you could almost miss the entrance (which gives a certain added privacy), once you see the sign you felt like this could be a delightful place. The hostess was pleasant and quickly registered us and we were given […] a room on the 3rd floor which had a partial view of the Golden Gate bridge and the surrounding view of buildings tucked into the San Francisco hillside. It was not bad. The parking for which we are grateful required some skill in staying between the lines and avoiding some of the posts but it was not an issue for us. The room was clean and we had 2 queens and a sofa that may have been a sofa bed but we did not need it. There was a microwave which came in handy and a refrigerator. There was an extra sink in the kitchenette area which also came in handy ( don't know if other rooms are like this) A small dining table with 2 cloth covered chairs were provided. The chairs were the only thing i had an issue with. They could do with some cleaning and I would recommend non-cloth hand rests. The bathroom door did not lock but that was not a problem for us and we forgot to let the hostess know about it (maybe i will call them). We felt safe and secure. We did not notice any unusual activity. The continental breakfast is very basic and is meant to grab and take back to your room since there is no space to eat in the lobby. There are a variety of restaurants all within walking distance and a CVS pharmacy about a minute away. We ate at the Tai Chi restaurant which is right around the corner on Polk and Broadway and enjoyed our meal at this very busy place with decent prices. All tourist areas are close at hand so the location was convenient. Will definitely stay there again. Mehr

Good deal and central to all attraction

Our second stay at this hotel. Great neighborhood with many restaurants and services just around the corner. Quiet neighborhood to sleep in after a busy day. Just around the corner bagels for breakfast, pizza for a quick lunch, for the beef eaters, a gourmet steak house with slabs of beef on display just up the block for dinner. .Peet's and Starbucks […] both just around the corner plus a short walk to bus to Union Square or cable car to the Embarcadero. Change in management since prior visit. The nice elderly couple has retired or moved on but the service was just as good. No complaints when we checked out an hour later than the 11 am time and very accommodating for an earlier than scheduled check in. Easy to get to just one block off Hwy 101 north to the Golden Gate. Nice place to anchor for a holiday visit. Mehr

THe room was OK, parking is really tight. Something that was not disclosed by Hotel's dot com is the office wants a $25 "room deposit" . I have yet to see if the deposit will be returned to my credit card.

Advantage with this hotel is only location - Room is not clean (Dirty is a better word to use) - Microwave and Refrigerator in the Restroom (so even if you want to you cannot use them ... ???) - Parking is cramped ...you've to close all side view mirrors and sometimes even you don't have parking ...good luck with that ... - If you're driving by car […] ... I would suggest stay in little farther hotel (even better in san jose) ...it's not worth it.. Mehr

My wife, 1&1/2 year old son and I stayed at the Nob Hill motor Inn for 8 nights, We found this place to be very convenient and at walking distance to all main attractions and restaurants,etc. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and quiet. The neighbourhood feels very safe. The common areas, including hallways, parking lots are also very clean and tidy, […] except for the elevator, that needs to be cleaned. I don't think it was for our whole stay. That's the only complaint I have, otherwise the price is very right for the quality that was offered. Mehr

Cheap and easy if you need a quick fix.

Good hotel, nice size room. great location with free car parking. Continental breakfast is instant coffee and a cake though but don't let that put you off. Worth a try.

The room I was in was small and you can tell they were inbetween CRT and Flat pannel technology. There was exposed wireing and the room was very basic.

Good for the price nice size room good location free parking but the walls are thin I could hear people in the rooms next to me as if they were in bed with me.

The Nob Hill Motor Inn is centrally located and in a good neighborhood. I have stayed at this hotel several times (because of its convenience to my appointments, its proximity to good restaurants, and its often good rates), but I will NOT return. The rooms are large & clean, but dark. The furniture is functional, but old and uncomfortable (except the […] beds - they are good), The bathrooms are clean. However, the non-smoking rooms (1st floor), are very noisy. During each stay, the guests in the room above me, have kept me awake until late hours. It always sounds as though a herd of animals is running across my ceiling. I am convinced that this problem is structural and not the result of inconsiderate or rude guests. THERE IS SIMPLY NO SOUND ATTENUATION MATERIALS BETWEEN FLOORS. During this stay, the management announced that they were installing flat screen TVs, but the money would be better spent sound proofing the ceilings. This is especially noteworthy since my room during this stay was next to the elevator (the bed was against the common wall with the elevator). However, I never heard the elevator, all I could hear were the guests in the room above me. Mehr

Good room with fridge, microwave. Great location, can walk to many of San Fran's attractions (if you can cope with some of the steep streets!). If not, buses and trams are nearby. Felt very safe walking around this neighbourhood.

This was a perfect hotel for a family with three children, LARGE rooms!

Very pleasant hotel in relatively safe neighborhood. Free convenient parking. Highly recommend this hotel if looking for a very clean, comfortable, yet low-price hotel.

Nice and clean hotel. Especially good if you have a car, since parking is free and very convenient. Quite a strong perfume smell in room, but a part from that very good.

This made an ideal first night stopover in San Fran having just flown in from the UK. The hotel was easy to find and the parking was the big plus point. Comfortable room. Not an ideal location, although we did walk to the main part of Nob Hill, China Town and down to Fisherman's Wharf, but caught the tram back! Overall, good value for money.

This hotel is 3min from downtown (by cab), there's a really cute wine/cheese store on corner. the hotel is kinda outdated, but well run, kept & safe

What makes the Nob Hill attractive is its location and the availability of (narrow) parking. Otherwise, this is a motel with 5 star pricing.

Ok, do not expect any breakfast tables or warm breakfast. Instead, you can have your breakfast in your room, as it has a microwave and a fridge as wella as coffee maker. I think the rooms are priced to be relatively unexpensive considering the location and parking option. There are several grochery stores around and a nice big wine store right on the […] conner. The only problem was an open air parking hall inside the hotel. It is on the ground floor and the rooms are located above it around the yard. So, you will hear engines starting as well as people bypassing your windows. For us the quiet room was essential, so it could be nice to have parking floor somehow separated from the living floors. we stay this hotel for two days. We like it. It is clean and cheaper.

i have stayed at this property several times. the people who check you in are always very friendly and helpful. the room is so comfortable you wont want to leave. WARNING: this hotel is right on Polk street - this street is hazardous to your waistline with the incredible array of restaurants.

hotel is nice, bed is comfortable. parking is very tight, made for compact cars. location is great. really good service as well. walking distance to many sights.

We stayed 4 nights at the nob hill hotel. If you want to be in the center of san francisco this is the place for you. You are very close to some restaurants and coffee shops about 500m metres. You can easily walk to the Piers (Fishermans warf, etc.) it takes about 20mins of walking or you can take one of the cable cars nearby (5 mins walking distance) […] or one of the buses heading for the bay (2 mins walking distance on the next crossing street). If you want to go Union Square it takes you also have the possibility to hop on the bus or cable car, also walking is possible but quite some effort because of the steepness of the streets. Also walking back from the piers to the hotel which is uphill is a good exercise. Now The hotel room itself: The room was clean and the size and smell ok. The rooms are not brand new but the comfort is ok. One of the biggest disadvantages is that you can not see the weather outside, because there's a window but you can only see the atrium of the hotel not to the outside and this also makes the room quite dark. One of the good thing is that you have free parking in the atrium of the hotel. But as there is no fence they strongly urge you to remove everything visible from the car and take it to your room, which is sometimes not so easy if you have a rental car and a lot of stuff in it. What is a bit of a joke is the free continental breakfeast. Because there is no breakfeast room. You have to take a tray and take the breakfeast to your room. There's some orange juice and coffe, fruits and danish. That's all. Not toast, butter, marmelade, jam or wafles. No cereals, nothing else. In my opinion thats not a real breakfast not even a continental one. That's clearly a big drawback of this location. If this form of breakfeast is enough for you then go for it. But we had to complete out breakfast normally at the nearby starbucks. Mehr

hotel advertises it provides breakfast however it is very limited and no breakfast area is available. good central location and car parking. staff friendly and helpful

Can't beat the central location and free on site parking. Many hotels say they have parking for a fee and then the parking is off site! Convenient restaurants, CVS pharmacy and more. Fairly quiet considering 1 block from Van Ness Ave! The family suite was very spacious and plenty of room for our family of 6 without even using a rollaway or sofabed! […] 2 rooms, 1 with a king and the other with 2 double or queens. Mehr

OVERALL GOOD EXPIERIENCE EXCEPT FOR THE FACT OF OUR NEIGHBORS WERE FIGHTING, CUSING, AND YELLING FOR THREE HOURS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OF NIGHT, AND IT TAKING ABOUT AN HOUR FOR THEM TO GET KICKED OUT. =0)

We had the worst hotel experience ever...

the room was clean but the outside was run down & the breakfast left much to be desired

Finding a reasonable priced room in SF is always hard. I found the price at the Nob Hill to be fair, compared to the high rise places you'll pay double for. If your on business abd your company pays, then go find a high rise fancy hotel. If your like me and want a hotel with bars near by, small restaurants, and coffee shops near by then check this place […] out. The people at the front desk were nice, and helpful, but notice there was a funny smell in there. The actual room was cleen, although it was a bit small and outdated. It was enough for me though, since the main reason I was there was to go the the spa just a few blocks from the Nob Hill. On top of that after the spa walking distance again was a great Chinese resturant to fight the hunger we built up at the spa. Right from the corner of the Nob Hill was a good SteakHouse, with live soft jazz music. The room isn't totally quiet, you can hear people walking on the walk way in front of every room, heater worked well as it was a bit cool when we were there. The hotel its self is average, don't expect much flair or fashion. Its the location that makes this place a good choice, the warf is a walk, but its a nice walk, cable cars are close to it as well. Like i said, don't expect much, other then a place to sleep, and a good safe to park your car, and do a lot of exploring on foot. Mehr
