Das einzige was negativ war ist das es sehr viele Schnacken/Mücken im Zimmer gab. Gegenüber in einer Anlage gab es einen See ein Paradies für Blutsauger. Hatte jede Nacht so um die 10 Stück auf dem Gewissen ;-).

Wir haben zu viert ein Raucherzimmer gebucht mit dem Wunsch wenn möglich auf ein Nichtraucherzimmer wechseln zu können. Leider waren alle NR-Zimmer belegt, das Zimmer roch aber trotzdem nicht störend nach Rauch. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, der Einrichtungsstil schon ein wenig älter, aber sehr komfortabel. Für Personen war wirklich genug Platz und durch die Kochnische / Wohnbereich saß man auch nicht zu eng aufeinander. Parken konnte man rund um das gesamte Hotel mit mehreren Eingängen was sehr geschickt war. Das Hotel lag nahe einer viel befahrenen Straße, was aber in den Zimmern nicht zu hören war. Alle Attraktionen in Orlando waren bequem mit dem Auto zu erreichen und die verschiedenen Einkaufs- und Essenmöglichkeiten (Walmart, McDonalds, Burger King, Dennys...) gegenüber waren echt praktisch. Das Frühstück war nichts besonderes (Bagel Joghurt Kaffee O-Saft Tee) aber ausreichend für einen guten Start in den Tag.

Preis - Leistung dieses Hotels sind einfach super. Man hat eine saubere Anlage und saubere Zimmer inkl. Pool. Ein Frühstück ist auch dabei, jedoch ist dies doch sehr spartanisch und einfach. Der Empfang ist freundlich und nett. Wir würden dieses Hotel auf alle Fälle wieder wählen, wenn wir dort in der Gegend unterwegs sind. Alle Attraktionen sind in bis zu 25 Minuten erreichbar. Wir hatten Zimmer zur Poolseite, welche von der Lautstärke her gut waren.
Lage
Crowne Plaza Orlando Universal liegt in Orlando (Universal Orlando - International Drive North). In der Nähe befinden sich: Pirate's Dinner Adventure, Universal Studios Orlando und Wet 'n Wild. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Universal's Islands of Adventure und Orange County Convention Center.
Ausstattung

International Drive ist bestens bekannt für das Universal Orlando Resort, in dem sich zwei Themenparks befinden: Islands of Adventure und die Universal Studios. Zudem finden sich hier der Wasserpark Wet 'n Wild und die Unterhaltungsmeile CityWalk. Der I-Ride Trolley (eigentlich ein Bus) hält an vielen Stellen entlang der Straße. Am nördlichen Ende des International Drive befinden sich zwei Shopping-Attraktionen: Prime Outlets Orlando und The Mall at Millenia.

Das Hotel bietet im Groß und Ganzen alles, was man in Orlando benötigt. Allerdings liess der Zustand des Zimmers etwas zu wünschen übrig, da die Klimaanlage nicht einwandfrei funktionierte und die Toilettenspülung ebenfalls defekt war. "Nice Hotel"
If you can try to get a room with 2 beds. These rooms do not have a connectig door. Otherwise you will be albe to hear your neighbor. The green trolley stop is in front of the door. "Nice Hotel"
I enjoyed the hotel and its service. My room happened to have the noisiest a/c units available. The door to the a/c would not shut, so when the a/c turned on it would slam the door shut. Both that slam and the noise of the a/c woke me up consistently through the night.

"Crowne Plaza Universal Blvd"
Beautiful hotel, pool and spa, friendly service, nice tiki bar outside in pool area. Downside, no fridge or microwave in the room, costly internet service. Overall very close to Universal, great location for restaurants in area. Highly recommend this hotel if you can deal with the downsides which don't matter to some people especially on vacation!

This hotel was dated and off the beaten track. You will need a cab to get to other restaurants etc. The pool was disappointing too. Not worth the 4 star rate.

I was billed from hotels.com then billed from crowne plaza. Crowne said I was not and emailed me an invoice. My credit statement on paper said otherwise! This was not a precharge but a double bill. Also parking at night was full so valet told me free valet. Fine. Next am on checkout 15 bucks for valet! I spent 15 min complaining then they took it out! […] Reception desk lady at night should have stayed in her cave. She was grumpy. The job sucks but not my fault she has to work graveyard shift! Anyway, crown accounting help was top notch. Mehr

Great hotel for the price, close to highways, just blocks from international drive, yet one street over, so much quieter! Only negative was that they missed a wake up call.

We had a better stay at Hampton Inn convention ctr. At Hampton there was a breakfast, nice place to sit and chat downstairs, and the rooms were very spacious. At crown, the light in the bathroom made an a noxious noise, the lost and found dept hasn't returned our two phone calls, and the rooms were avg.

"New Year's Eve"
This was the second time we stayed there and it was very pleasant. A little bit expensive (due to time of the year and the dates that I schedule), however it was good. Comfortable, clean and has an excellent breakfast; great customer services

My wife and I stayed at this Hotel for 2 nights. We were very pleased overall. For the value this was a fantastic place to stay. But we felt that the food at the on site restaurant was very pricey. There are plenty of places nearby with better food deals. All in all we would stay here again.

Great price for a great hotel. Only a few moments from almost every attraction in Orlando, theme park wise, and other fun activities. Great mini golf right down the road, pirate dinner adventure was only seconds away and Wet n Wild was within arms reach, not literally, but everything was close to the hotel, if that's what you're going for. As for the […] hotel itself the crowne was gorgeous. Room was very nice and comfy. Had a cool bar downstairs and restaurant. That's about it. If you have the few extra bucks, stay here. Mehr
"crown plaza orlando. Ideal location"
Having stayed in this hotel for 7 nights i can only have the best to say about it. The room we stayed was on the 12th floor. It was very spacious and had the most comfortable queen bed we had ever slept on. The room attendants were excellent and very exact about towels and cleanliness. The food was delightful especially the chicken wings which we ordered […] a few times in chats bar. We were their the weekend of thanks giving so we had to have the turkey dinner in the hotel dining room, it was buffet style so we could have 2nds if we desired.It was excellent. For us the hotel was ideally situated as we like to stay in hotels that are not located in very built up and noisy locations. Our room had a view of the surrounding orlando area and we could see the firework displays at night from the theme parks. For us driving is a must so we tend to choose hotels that have free and adequate parking, and Crown Plaza has exactly that. For those who like shopping, the Premium outlets centre is just 1.5 miles away and florida mall is only 4miles away. We choose fo shop at the premium outlet and it has every store and label you can imagine. Their are numerous top quality restaurants within a short distance , we ate in Perkins for breakfast, 500yds away. Also if you like steaks then you have to try Cattlemans steak house,and Houlihans. the latter offers the best value for money, but both have delicious steaks. All in all i can only say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would happily stay here again. Our stay was for seven nights room only. Mehr

"Thugs everywhere"
For the money, the sleepy Hampton Inn around the corner on International just off of Sand Lake Road and I-4 will have my business. I thought I'd try something different this go, and we were sorry we did. Quite a bit more money, parking was horrible, and you can't hardly walk into the main entrance for all of the thugs hanging around watching their precious […] $150,000+ cars being valeted. Which mind you, the valets park these cars all around the circle at the main entrance of the hotel. So to check in-check out you have to park all the way around the back of the building and haul your belongings around. Was not impressed, not at all, sorry.... At one point coming in after a dinner out, there were literally 50+ people loitering around the entrance making it difficult to even get through the front door. And the language was amazing... Let me tell you... Would stay here with young children. Mehr

"Crown Plaza Universal Studios check-in policy"
I booked two rooms for 4 nights each and paid the full amount through Hotels.com. Crown Plaza's "policy" is to hold money on your credit card. They explained this during check-in but the impression was that it would be a minimal amount, not 42% of the cost for 8 room nights. That leaves the customer, me, having to ensure that I am reimbursed the held […] money. If they hold money on a card they should at least give you a receipt showing the amount being held. I found the charge on my credit card bill. I would not recommend this hotel simply because of this hotel "policy". Note that we traveled throughout Florida for 2 weeks and stayed at upscale hotels and this is the only one that retained money on my card. Mehr

I only stayed one night on my way to south Florida, but it was a nice, clean room. Close to Wet 'n Wild (you could walk!) & Universal Studios. No complimentary breakfast, though, so be prepared to pay $$ at the hotel restaurant or go out somewhere.

We've spend 10 night in this hotel, it' s difficult to find a more central location in the mddle of Discey, Seaworld & Universal. With my wife & 3 kids the room was large enough (but not generous) The breakfast is outstanding (I recommend to book included breakfast).

My wife and I went to this hotel for a 1 night stay to celebrate our 24 th anniversary. When we checked in we asked for recommedations for dinner. Tommy not only gave us 1 but made the reservation for us and had a car waiting to take us. When we got to the resturant the gave us a great table with a card and flower congradulating us. The hotel staff were very helpful and really made the stay a good experience. I felt pampered and would definitly stay at this hotel again.
