Die Zimmer des Hotels sind renovierungsbedürftig. Die Matratzen alt und schlecht.

The room was VERY run down, dirty, the shower did not work, we did not receive any shampoo, etc... I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.I have stayed at over 100 hotels and I'd have to say this was the worst exprience I have ever had at any hotel. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay at The Sun Suites of New Orleans in Harvey, Louisiana.

Hotel was surprisingly good despite the cheap price. I highly recommend it unless you are a high class snob who "demands the best". This hotel is for people who come to New Orleans for the city experience, not the hotel experience. It only takes about 6-7 min to get downtown from this place. I had no problems with the hotel.

This hotel was nowhere near where it was listed to be. Online it said this hotel was .1 miles from the port of New Orleans. It, in fact, is located on the west bank which is nowhere near the port. Any money saved by staying here was negated by the $100 shuttle & cab ride.

Close to lots of shopping centers and entertainment

This is the worst experience I had in my life. First of all, the condition of my room. The beddings are not clean and I can see small cockroaches under my quilt. Second the hotel doesnt have toiletries, third the neighbourhood. People were sitting and drining outside their rooms on the cooridor.

It may have been the construction right outside my door on the street that made getting in and out an adventure. Or maybe I had never heard of a hotel where they did not set foot in the room the full 6+ days we were there. Not even to empty a trash can. That to get clean linen you took it to the office and thet swap it out piece for piece. Or that I […] had to strip our beds to get clean sheets. This they told me after the fact. None of this was in the add they posted. Never again will I stay at this chain, if this is a chain. Mehr

I stayed here because I was on business and it was cheap, but my room never got cleaned and never got clean towels.

I picked hotel because of cost, if you want a fancy hotel, you will pay alot more. Room was basic, but it had basic cable, working AC, free internet, free parking, 24 hr convince stores within walking distance and is a 20 dollar cab fare from french quarter(15mins). Let's start with the positives, they had good internet access, the room fee was cheap, the location wasn't bad. Now for the bad: This hotel was nasty. The rooms were dirty. The sheets were dirty. It's ur basic cheap motel.

This hotel was nasty, the door looked like someone had broken in, the security lock wouldn't lock, there was rat fecies in the tub, the comforter smelt horrible and it just looked nasty overall.

We were placed on the 3rd floor. The elevator door would not close and get to the third floor. Climbing three flights of stairs, we found the elevator had gone to the third floor while we were climbing up the stairs. Very slow to respond to pushed buttons. We did ride in it and decided not to again, for fear of getting stuck in elevator. The room had […] been cleaned but needed deep cleaning. The outside door did not fit close to the door frame, which was a little unsettling. Must be home to out of town construction workers and saw many men hanging around after 4 pm. I was not impressed with this hotel at all. i will not stay here again. tey guest stayed up half the night.the location dosen"t look to be to safe either.

The rooms weren't ready when promised. The hotel was clean for the condition it's in. The grounds around the hotel were all barbed-wired. The place is much older than it appears on the outside. The manager was accommodating but, I would not recommend it.

You'll get what you've paid for..!

This was the lowest costing place I could find. The rooms were exactly what we needed: a place to lay our heads for one night. Unfortunately, the old phrase, "You get what you pat for," held true. I counted at least 5 roaches, one of which had to have been at least 3 inches long. I reserved a room that wasn't available when I made it there. They didn't have the rooms I needed and the front desk clerk didn't no how to give me directions to the hotel. The keys didn't work I had to go back n forth n the cold 3 times... I need hotels.com and the hotel to be in contact with each other to know what's available and what's not

smoky, dirty, wouldn't shower cause bathroom was icky, should have stayed in downtown New Orleans, spent the difference in cab fare

I had a party of 4 in a double room. Only had two sets of towels, called to ask if housekeeping could bring two more sets and was told no i had to come get them my self. I sent my daughter to get the other two sets and was told that she had to bring down the two sets that were in the room. I thought this was crazy. In the policy it states that the rooms […] are only cleaned after you check out, however you could request a complimentary cleaning during your stay. So this is the crazy part you would come and clean my room if I ask but you won't bring me two sets of towels upon request. That is crazy. Needless to say this was not a good experience for my family and I. I would have mayby understood if I would have made the reservations for two but I made them for four. Mehr

I normally stay here at least 2x a week and have no problem but this time it was not good. upon arriving and having to wait for an hour to get my room because they were cleaning them. I was finally checked in then when I got to my room it was dirty. there was food wrappers on the floor behind the night stand and there was paper cups under the bed with […] cigarette butts in a non smoking room.I did inform the staff the next morning being that I had a long drive and I was tired. they were very sorry for it. I think this hotel was perfect for the price and for people who don't care about staying in their hotel room all day. It fit its purpose: places to eat all around it, a place to crash after a long night, minutes from the highway. A very inexpensive way to get to the strip without paying 'strip prices'. Been here before and the stay was alright, but this time the receptionist was rude, very apparent she isn't happy with life. Hotel is nasty considering I woke up to see a giant cockroach on my hand... but you get what you pay for in New Orleans areas.

Run down old, no wi-fi and no one could help us get wi-fi. Manager told us she would print something that I emailed to her but left without doing so. Cheap hotel but still not worth it.

I had reservations for 2 nights arrived at the hotel and was greeted with a friendly smile. I was immediately waited on. The only problem was that the room that was assigned to me was being painted. I went back to the office and they issued me another room immediately. I was to check out on a thursday but extended my stay one more night due to the weather […] and was convientely given the same room whivh was very nice. the rooms are not as advertised and the front desk service was lazy... oh let me not for get the roaches the only good part of the hotel is the location if you cant put up with poor service and uninvited guest.. never again

We arrived in the room and it had an awful smell that would not go away. The laws must have changed and this was a smoking room, that they turned into non smoking.The bathtub was fixed with some kind of spackle and netting that looked like my St. Bernard dog, Oakey repaired it. It was one of the worst repair jobs ever. The carpet was torn and ripped […] by the linoleum. The fridge worked but was very rusty and broken inside. In fact in the fridge I found a dead cockroach. Man that was disgusting. There was not a toilet seat lid to put down on the toilet. The front door door was painted but had many dents in it. Looked like someone took a hammer to it. There were three people in our party and my son's supposed clean towel had this giant piece of hair on it. The only thing that was nice was the service at the front desk and the ease of checking in and out. Didn't spend much time in the room for reasons above. Mehr

Not very friendly customer services, could not connect wifi internet, but they didn't want to help out that. The next room was so noisy until midnight. otherwise everything pretty good if you don't wanna call front desk, it's should be ok to stay, cause eventhough you call them, they answer like they didn't so, forget it, cause it was the cheapest place […] we can find there Mehr

The hotel was what we paid for it... a convenient and inexpensive place to lay our heads and shower. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, the air conditioner was in good working order. The rooms need an overhaul; carpet requires replacing, light fixtures need replacing or repair, the toilet was coming up off the floor due to water damage from the […] tub and the there were hairs in the tub and sink from the previous tenant. The hotel is old and in need of updates. But for the price and comfort level it was well worth it!!! The beds were comfortable everything worked!! The room was clean but not spotless!! But i would definately stay again!!

This hotel isn't a 5 star but you get what you pay for. The room was clean, however we saw two roaches in our room during the stay. The rooms need renovation, but the staff was nice.

When I booked the hotel I was not booking on comfort. I booked solely on price and location. That is what I got. A good price and a fairly good location. The location was acceptable although if you go to New Orleans Downtown you will have to pay toll fair. I felt for the price I really couldn't complain. The only thing I would have to say is that I […] wish they provided quality service to over compensate for the condition and comfort of the room. I was nicely greeted by staff. location is convenient and safe. But I got a smoking room thought I asked for non-smoking room. And I was too tired to ask for change so I crashed in the given room. In morning I realized that my clothes were smelling of smoke. which is easy to find out when you do not smoke. no complains other than that

The only decent thing about my stay was the location. They did not have a NON-Smoking room as requested. Half of the mattress sagged and felt every spring. The blanket, comforter, and floor were dingy. The lighting in the room was horrible. The door locks weren't secure. There are no after hrs key drop off locations. It would be better if the carpet wad clean and fresh,the tubs are dirty all the time,one time I went the ice box was not in the room an I had food with me at the time..I didn't bother to make an complaint because I did before,I tried to give them another chance,but its not what I expected..I'm sorry,but its just to noisey.I would come back if its under […] new management..
