Not satisfied with my stay. No staff on the premises after hours. I had to sleep in my car until 8:30am when staff arrived and was given a smoking room when I reserved a non smoking room but very close to shops and restaurants.

The staff was friendly but the rooms weren't up to par. The room is not very updated so the amenities are older. The shower wasn't clean at all. The sheets had a blood stain on it and the covers were dirty. People live in the rooms here so we heard a lot of partying next door and then fighting from the latinos in the next room. Nobody bothered us but […] the fighting and partying kept us awake at night. We had to check out very early so on the way down we passed the laundry room that had two people sleeping in there... Overall, the neighborhood is nice. Plenty of stores conveniently located nearby and it is not a scary neighborhood at all. The only issue is the cleanliness of the room. We had a really bad experience while staying at this hotel. My husband and I reserved a "non-smoking" room, but we were given a "smoking" room instead. The thick smell of smoke in the room was unbearable. We went to the office to complain, and the young lady (without a word) gave us another key to a "non-smoking" room. No apologies or comments from […] her regarding the error. The hotel also advertised "free Wi-Fi",, but there was NO internet connection. I called the office so they could assist me in signing on, but she said she didn't know anything. They apparently did not have Wi-Fi. Staff was indifferent to our complaints. It seemed that no one cared. Then when we went to the office at 5:30am to check out, they were "CLOSED". It was not a pleasant experience. Mehr

I was already in town to visit family and I stayed at another hotel. When I realized I needed to an extra night but I couldn't get the same deal I looked for this hotel which I saw while out shopping. It looked nice from what I could see and it accepted pets. Unfortunately, I was fooled. The first issue is that most hotels say 3pm for check in unless […] rooms are available. It was 2pm and the front desk mgr. was rude in telling me he had nothing available. Second, when I finally got my key after a half hour wait, I drove around to the side of the hotel where my room was located and it looked like a junk yard where people were fixing their pick up trucks and hanging out. Then I look up at the balconies and at least ten separate people were standing out smoking. All staring at us like we were the new inmates....not kidding. The room was disgusting, small and smell like old pinesol. It was too late to look for another hotel so we just dealt with it since we were leaving at 5am. The cold water nozzle didnt work, the toilet tissue was just sitting on the sink, and the beds had cigarette burns. Needless to say we slept in our clothes on top of the covers. Good thing I had my dog, because every time someone lingered outside my room she let us know. Like I initially said I would not recommend this hotel at all. Mehr

The rooms were smelly, They weren't clean as they could've been. Looks like it really needs an upgrade. The outside is nice but the inside totally different story. The mattress were lumpy, to be honest it seems like they went and got all the stuff in the room from the trash. This was our hotel of last resort. We needed to come to New Orleans for a funeral and it was Spring Break week all good hotels were booked and we were able to book this one. The outside of the hotel is good but the inside, the rooms are horrible. It's like I stepped back into the 70's, the beds are very lumpy and the rooms are dirty, I was actually […] afraid to take a shower in the bathtub because it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The tv is a big tube tv and the alarm clock looks like one I had when I was a kid, I'm a 40+ aged woman. The only thing that kept me there was the fact there weren't any other rooms available. The only plus to this hotel is the location, it's in a decent part of town with multiple eateries and a movie theater. You have been warned..DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! Mehr

This sun suite is lousy. The front desk is slow and the rooms are not being cleaned properly. I would not recommend this location . I have stayed at other sun suites and they were excellent not this location.

We travel all the time for our business and we have never and we have never paid so much for so little. Dont walk on the carpet in your bare feet unless you enjoy washing your feet all the time. There were used tissues in the bed, trash under the bed, hair in the bathroom sink, and we requested a smoking room when reserving room. We received a non-smoking room. Will never recommend to anyone. Second night there, police had entire parking lot blocked off. Very unsavory neighborhood. Very misleading advertisement.

Our stay here was not at all pleasant. We had several problems arise and the staff was extremely limited and not helpful. Every single day we had to get our key rescanned in order to get back in our room. Many other guests had this problem as well. The room it self was not clean and had a funky smell to it.

it was nasty, guys in the parking was selling drugs. someone had shaved in the bathroom and the hair was still there. there was plastic bags over the fire alarm. we was there about 10 minutes and i called motel 6. it was the worse place i have ever rented in my life. PLEASE do your self a FAVOR and do NOT stay here.....................

We picked this hotel given it's price this close to New Orleans. I was very skeptical as the reviews were quite poor. The check-in was very slow. However when I asked for extra coffee later on, the staff were very accommodating. All dealings were polite and helpful. The hotel itself looks to be going through some updating. The laundry room was spotless. […] Our room was also clean, if the bathroom was a bit dated. Our stay was comfortable enough for us to stay a second day. The location on the south side was convenient for our side trips outside the city. I would stay here again. Mehr

I enjoy my stay here each time I stay, the location has so many surrounding food options as well as a movie theatre and Walmart nearby. Always clean and staff are courteous.

The room was OK. Kinda clean. Ample towels. Nothing by way of soap or toothpaste in case I had forgot mine. The hotel was in the middle of a busy part of town. If u wanted to go out to eat u had to drive around and find somewhere. Also I asked for a double and paid extra and only had a single. Idk who's fault it was. But we made due.

Room was not cleaned after each night. We had to ask to have it done and were told it was not part of the service but would do it this once. There was no stopper inthe sink. No toilet seat lid. Few bowls or other kitchen implements. The lighting was poor and one could not read or write using the available light. The bedspread had cigarette burns in […] it. The hotel was rated as 1 1/2 stars and I think that is what I would judge it to be. There were restaurants close by which we used and bus service at the front door which took us into New Orleans. By far the most disgusting place I have ever slept in my life (that includes tents and frat houses). I had to put a tee shirt over the pillow case before I slept on the pillow. Air conditioner was broken, bed was broken and I was unable to walk around in barefeet it was so dirty. The kitchenette was very dirty (including the ground and all dishes/cups). […] Toliet and bathtub were flithy. Mirror was so dirty you could not see into it. half the light bulbs were burnt out and we only got 5 channels on the tv. This was the only place available as we were in town for superbowl and it was around mardi gras. Staff was unhelpful and when we asked if they could call us a cab they acted very impatient and ended up not calling anyone. Honestly if I had to do it again I would pay the big superbowl prices and stay downtown. It was about a 10 minute ride to downtown or $22 cab ride which was the only good thing about this place. Trust me- RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE-SAVE YOURSELF. If 2 easy going people in their 20's can't survive the place good luck!!!! Mehr

Reserved two double rooms and motel could only provide one double and one queen. Young man at front desk was rude and unhelpful! Facility was run down, dirty, and in desperate need of renovation! The only nice thing I can say about my stay was the maintenance guy was friendly and extremely helpful!
