Sun Suites Of Suwanee - Suwanee

I booked non smoking and once I arrived I was told there was no non smoking rooms and I could either take a smoking room or pay extra for the double bed non smoking. I didn't think it was fair to make me pay more for a room I requested and had already paid for!! Room was nasty! Bathroom needs to be remodeled! The hotel was in need of some upgrades. I did not like that the room was not cleaned on a daily basis. There was a problem initially with the hotel honoring the price and room that I had booked through hotel.com. Things eventually were worked out, but I wouldn't want to stay there again.

service at desk is always great ! if I wwere to complain it would be that the remote for tvs never work. stay here alot and 80% of the time the dont work. rooms are very clean and well maintained.

wanted a NON smoking room with Queen got a Handicapped room(didn't want) with Queen SMOKY they knew they had me, I wasn't about to go out looking for another hotel at 2am didn't make any attempt to make up for the smoke or the handicapped ....

Honestly, the first night was ok. For the price you're paying, the hotel room and surroundings was clean and well maintained. My second night was horrible, had to call the cops on a guest because of ask the fighting and yelling which went on for for plus hours. I was very disappointed to know that the hotel didn't have any type of security to see or, […] hear what was going on. Mehr

The only problem that I had was when I checked in there was no one in the office at first and the door was locked. The gentleman in the office was the only one working that night and it was a big inconvenience for me. I had to wait 15 min. before someone came back to the office, it was cold and raining that night. was a quick check in nice stay. all rooms include a mid size fridge. 2 burner cooktop microwave and plates forks cups bowls etc. only things i didnt like was the morning asst general manager. she was rude and very disrespectful and curt when i asked for a checkout reciept which she failed to give me.

Nice for the price. Easy walk to outback, applebee's, and fast food chains. No complaints

Sun Suites is not a fancy hotel. You do get a little more than you pay for though! Everything is well maintained and clean, the front desk service exceptional, and at a very good price. If you want a top tier hotel, this is not it though. It's a decently appointed room and it doesn't pretend to be anything more.

The front desk worker was nice even though we checked in at ten pm. The room was nice looking but smelled weird and the refrigerator smelled so bad that it made my friend sick. The beds were comfortable enough that we were able to get a good night's sleep. The employee who checked us out was not as friendly. The Internet and tv service was great.

We love the nice friendly faces of the staff at the hotel we have stayed there several times and we love it. Rodgerick S.

The hotel want too bad for the money. Room was a bit old but it was clean. Shower fixture kept running all night, and any attempt to fix it was unsuccessful. The parking lot area was well lit at night, and we felt safe. There are plenty if restaurants near the hotel.

We chose this place because of the value, so we thought. My husband and I had not been there 30 minutes; we were unloading and I was attacked by a drunk, he even tried to get into the room. We saw police arresting 2 different men in the parking lot. The people staying there are something to be desired, to say the least. There were hookers, crack dealers, […] drunks, and meth heads. The room itself was a joke. It smelled like it was a room used to cook illegal drugs. We did'nt have any pans or accesories for the kitchen. No drain stopper, no ironing board, no iron, no towels,and no soap for washing dishes. This was the most horrible place I have ever had to stay. The only reason I remained there was for my job. I would not let my dog stay at that place. The carpet was worn and torn, the bed had a huge sway in the middle, the phone would not stay in the outlet to make calls, and the television was from 1960. We hardly slept due to the tweekers staying up all night listening to the tv or radio at max volume. I felt very unsafe and scared to be at that location. Do yourselves a favor and STAY AWAY... Mehr

Front desk and management -excellent customer service; Room was very clean. My only suggestion to improve would be to improve the lighting in the bathroom.

My only complaint is that the office was locked and no one was any where to be found when we arrived. It was 12:30 am and we tired. We rang the bell, called the phone for 15 minutes. There was a sign posted that said the office closed at 9:00 pm. We drove off and began looking for another hotel. After checking 2 other hotels we drove back by and just […] happened to see someone in the office. When I asked the the clerk about what had happened he offered no explanation and agreed the sign should be removed. Mehr

Had problem with tub fixtures being loose, had to clean & disinfect the tub, commode, and both bath &kitchen sinkls, no pots in kitchen area, coffee maker hadn't been cleaned recently nor was there any coffee in room. When made request it took next day to get some things done. This place can be great with more commitment to making some remodeling to […] the rooms, and updating furniture & fixtures, better mattresses (for better sleep for customers), and making sure everything works daily. Ms. Latoya was great getting us registered and greeted us with a smile, but things went kinda south after that. .Location was great and with some minor renovations this can be a great place, which should stay full!!! The check-in guy was good and very kind. The hotel was in a great location and easy for me to get to where I needed to be in Gwinnett county the next morning. it's not the nicest, but Sun Suites was clean and quiet. for this meeting next year I plan on booking all 3 nights at this hotel.

I don't like the idea that there was no guest reception area. I was in town for the funeral service of a very close family member. We had other family members that came to pay us visit. We had to go to nearby Motel 6 to entertain our guest in their very comfortable guest reception lobby area with dinner tables and love chairs and big screen flat television. […] Also, we stayed in Sun Suites for 5 nights. The room was not cleaned in one single day. We were told, when we inquired, that they only clean the room once a week! Wow. We never knew about this. Mehr

this hotel had the best service very friendly staff and clean rooms and the condition was clean and just nice. I was very happy with everything about them however the suwanee police will harass you in the parking lot. We had arrived to the hotel after a long drive so we went to rest for a while and decided to go out to the coffee shop down the street. […] It was about midnight. before we got out of the parking lot they quickly pulled us over shined lights through the car and rudely asked if we had been drinking where were we going etc I am in my 40s and do not drink. Anyway after of course coperating with the police we were on our way but it was real embarassing and from what I hear this frequently goes on with the police harassing guests. Theyre not even nice about it thats what kind of got to me. I would like to see this Sun Suites talk to them about harassing their guests otherwise A+ Mehr

It wasn't horrible but I would never stay there again. The room is poorly constructed and there were a couple of bugs in the room. When I checked in the clerk was nice but when I checked out the clerk was very rude to me and others.

You get what you pay for. The hotel is cheap and convenient to where I needed to be for the week, but it also wreaked of cigarette smoke and there was no maid service. Also, the neighbors were noisy.

Hotel refused room service and stated was only for weekly renters. If this is how Sun Suites wishes to treat o short term guest maybe they need to become Apartment renters and not Hotel. Was very dissatisfied with the front desk service and treatment toward room housekeeping.

Definately not the Hilton but for the price it wasn't bad.

This is an economical overnight. Bless Sun Suites for doing the best they can. But, the smokers who violate the No Smoking rules have made this a virtual 'smokers haven". Dont figtht it, be who you are. If you are a non-smoker, and the smell of old smoke is not something you can sleep with all night, this is not the place for you. Otherwise, the location […] is great because of the easy access to lots of restaurants and shopping within 5 minutes of driving. Also, several very nice chain restaurants within walking distance. This was great hotelfor the price we paid and the location was excellent. Would stay again if ever traveled back down there.

Great hotel at a great price. Close to everything like the Mall of Georgia and Discover Mills.

My room was clean and functional, everything works. If you need an ironing board just ask for it at the reception desk. Keep in mind that this is a 2-star hotel, so don't expect royal treatment or luxury itens. The price is just great, a real bargain..

This was one of the best values I have found on Hotels.com. The room was spacious and very clean, the bed was comfortable and good internet connection (free) and nice flat screen tv. My granddaughter loved the indoor pool and I liked the hot tub as well. Over all a enjoyable stay, would come back if needed.

IT WAS NOT BAD FOR THAT PRICE HOWEVER THE CARPET WAS VERY STAINED.

If you need a cheap place to crash for one night and you don't need to turn on the lights- this place may be the one for you. The front desk attendant was asleep when we checked in at 10pm- had to wake him by continually ringing the fron bell. The room was musty and dirty. There were bugs in the bathroom. They have a nominal fee if you need an extra […] towel. I was pretty sure there were bed bugs as well but we were traveling with our four small children and they really need to get sleep so we just put up with the room for the fhort 8 hours we were in it. I would not suggest this hotel to my worst enemy!!! Mehr

Hotel good price. room was clean . non smoking room could smell cigarette smoke. Restaurants are close. Overall good value for room. Towels were small and thin. no blow dryer or iron in room. had a kitchenette no pans to use though.
