The Hotel was ok but the room had a few problems. #1 ice machine in refrig did not work, #2 the door lock did not work (had to prop a chair against door for safety) #3 TV did not turn (if not facing it you could not view) #4 No soap in room (front desk did give some and said sorry) #5 No sign in hallway to indicate where room was #6 Tiny balcony (so […] small one person could stand, not sit, why have it) #7 door to balcony broken anyway. Staff was kind. Had coffee available all day. Near everything in town. Pool not open but looked good. Hotel was clean but needs some care. Mehr

absolutely loved your facility. looking forward to visiting again.

We had a great time. There were a few bumps, but the staff and Managemant were terriffic ! When we first arrived the room that we were given smelled of FISH. It was a beautiful room, but fishy. All rooms have kitchenettes in them. I called downstairs. They explained that someone had been cooking in that room last week.They said they could move us to […] another room. ( They were full at the time ). We were given the St. Kitts room. Suite on the 4th floor. WOW. Very large, Kitchen, living room, bedroom with a spa tub for 2. Very nice. There were a few small things with in the room that were not perfect. The clock didn't work properly. ( Which they replaced ) There was a little mold on the ceiling of the very large shower and after we used the spa tub, water came up through the tiles in the bed room. ( We put a few towels down ) not a problem. Again. we appreciated the nice room, and enjoyed our stay. It's nice to be able to just walk the bridge over to Fagers for good food... Thanks Mehr

We had a problem because according to hotel management, they have a two pipe system. In the winter you get heat and in the summer you get air (not a/c). When we entered the room, we had no air and a box fan was offered because it was humid. Management indicated that their air would be on in a few days. Once the air system "kicks" on, you can not get […] heat on a cold night - neither can you get air on a hot night once the heat is on. I found another hotel, but since my 86 year old mother was with me, I could not travel from hotel to hotel with her. Therefore, I kept the balcony door open for air... On a good note, the location and cleanliness was great as well as the surrounding neighborhood. Mehr

EXCELLENT!! That is why I choose this hotel every year.

The hotel was beautiful and clean. My room was big and spacious and the spa tub was nice. The hotel staff was nice. However, I went in the off season with my 3 year old and there was nothing there for her. There is also nothing open in the off season in the surrounding area. The pool was not open. It was also very hot in our room as the air conditioning […] was not on in the hotel at all. Mehr

Horrible horrible horrible, our room was so hot and humid and the A/C was not on, they did give us a fan but still didnt make it any better. No hot water for 20mins once you started the water. When we went to check out the front deck was very rude, never asked us how our stay was. We we took it upon ourself to tell them they were like what can we do […] now its to late. Well I will never stay there or recommend this hotel to anyone. Mehr

Great location. Comfortable setting. Great view of the Bay. Pleasant staff. Only problem was with having no access to air conditioning when our room was 85 degrees because it was March and the antiquated system was not able to be programmed off of heat. Fan was asked for and brought to room but still was unable to cool room lower than 79 degrees.

The hotel was very nice and clean. Beautiful just wish they had a contential breakfast available.

This hotel was very nice. The staff was amazing. I stayed there for a cheer competition at the convention center. It was close and in the middle of everything. This hotel is directly to your right after you cross the bridge to get to ocean city.

I recently visited this hotel. The purpose was to have a relaxing and hassle-free time. The good reviews I read prior to booking this hotel were correct. The not so good reviews, fortunately I did not experience. The staff were very pleasant. Kudos to Ms. Bell, front office manager. Such a delightful person. The accomodations were well worth the money. […] I like the fact that there is a little kitchen to prepare small meals. The view from the balcony (eventhough it is small) it was still nice to be able to stand outside and get some fresh air and watch the sun set. Lovely property. Will be returning again. Mehr

what can I say,wonderful.

Very nice hotel that is located near some great places. Within walking distance to Seacrets and locals places... a stones through from Fagers, in fact there is a beautiful walkway from the hotel to their front door. We had some issues with the room key not working a few times but the staff was very helpful in fixing the situation. Overall the room layout […] was very nice and seemed to be in good shape. Mehr

Horrible...we had no hot water for three hours the night we stayed there with the maintenance man knocking on the door four times. The water took 30 minutes to get hot the morning we checked out. When I spoke to the manager about this his answer to my was basically "oh well".

very nice, only bad thing is the late check in 4:00 pm . got there early ,not crowed , but the young girl behind the front desk would not check us in, as soon as she left the new girl check us right in and was very nice.

the hotel was exactly what we were looking for and was a good value for the money. for us and the reason for the vacation it was espeially great and so was the parking. Our room freezer did not have an ice maker which is supposed to be in each room. We will be back in May.

We recently spent a weekend at Coconut Malorie in a 1 br suite. We have stayed here multiple times before. Good points are great location, beautiful views of the Bay and Fagers and friendly staff. We also love the room layout- step down living room, kitchenette, dining room table and seperate bedroom. Things we were not crazy about- small balcony, uncomfortable […] bed, some of the room decorations were missing (like pictures and plants). All in all- a nice place to stay. Mehr

The hotel is in a great location, central to every where and right on the bay. The condition of the hotel is in great need of repair. Maid service is not very good and one day it did not get cleaned at all. Luckily I did get a low rate since it was off season as would not have wanted to pay on dollar more. The room layout and location of the hotel are good. The pictures on the web site are refurbished rooms, our room was not pictured on the web site. Cleaning is average to poor, depending on the day. The staff was helpful and had good customer service skills. Great sunsets overlooking Fager's Island.

While the hotel has a great location, it needs to be updated. We had a one-bedroom and it needed a paint-job, the molding and flooring in the bathroom were in need of repair. The room had a musty smell to it. The screen to our patio door was ripped so we couldn't keep the door open to get rid of the musty order. But we did like the space in our suite […] and we would probably try staying there again to see if any updates were completed. Mehr

Although the space and layout of the suite was nice and spacious, and free parking was great... We were very disappointed by the hotel. Our phones did not work ( and after having to go down to the front desk several times to request a fix, nothing was done.) The window trim and drapes broke off on one of the windows... The furniture and decor was old […] and stained. It was very loud and noisy at night. And at 8am in the morning all of the lobby coffee was gone, and were told there would be no more.. And to go make coffee in the room... Which only have 1 bag of decaf. It was one of the higher priced / higher rated beach hotels in ocean city... And was a major a disappointment. First time in Ocean City. Location was great. Our room had a great view of the Bay. Houskeeping needs to improve regarding supplying towels etc. I took a chance and would come back and request room on the bay side.

The Coconut was ok, but after staying at Marigot its really nothing special. SMALL balcony, "jacuzzi" in the studio is just a shower tub. If youre not facing the bay, you get a great view of 7/11. I just never once sat back and thought "this is nice." So if youre looking for a last ditch place, this is the best of mediocrity. Bottomline, this isnt […] a hotel so you wont find any real guest services or special treatment you would find in a resort hotel on the ocean side of OC. My $$ will go to Clarion, Marigot, Holiday Inn Suites, etc. These all offer OCEAN balconies, private beaches, restaurants, beach bars, etc. So if it costs you a few bucks more to stay at one of those actual hotels, it is WELL worth it. My visit at the Coconut Malorie was short but pleasant. The studio room was very nice. I loved that it was walking distance from Secrets, Macky's. If I decide to travel back to Ocean City, this hotel would be on my mind to rest and relax at.

We were attracted to the layout of the rooms because we wanted something different than the typical 2 double bed hotel room layout. We enjoyed our stay. Our view of the bay was fabulous. The staff was helpful and nice.

Stayed at The Coconut Malorie for 3 nights in July 2011. This resort was nice but clearly under new ownership and not well maintained. The room was not very clean and the service was deplorable. I had too call the front desk (after it ringed about 20 times) four times to get toilet paper! The next day we needed a brume to clean the floor and it took […] about an hour just to get a brume to the room. I would not stay here again. For the price we paid for this room I was extremely unsatisfied with the service. The employees are unfriendly and they are understaffed. If you want a relaxing Ocean City trip. Do not stay here because dealing with the staff at this hotel is a hassle! Mehr

I've stayed here before for a week and again last week. While the staff could be a little friendlier and eager, the hotel is very well situated. It's located very near Rt. 90, which puts you in the middle of either end of Ocean City. The rooms are nicely appointed and for Ocean City, that's not typical (most places are very trashy). The views of the […] bay are unbelievable and there is a direct wooden walkway to Fagers Island restaurant that is also situated on the bay. The beach is across the street, although I drive and park for free so I don't have to lug all of the kid gear. I certainly would prefer an oceanfront hotel, but there are none that measure up to the Coconut Malorie that I've found (except for the Hilton, but it's much more expensive). And friends warn me not to stay at a high rise because the beach is overrun with guests staying there. I'm already looking at dates to go back to the Coconut Malorie this summer! Mehr

We had a wonderful time thanks to the great people in the hotel, good weather and beautiful Ocean.

Beautiful hibiscus brightened the landscape. The hotel is pretty from the outside. Great room darkening drapes and great shower. Tub stopper wouldn't stay down in spa tub, so no bath. Tile cracked in bathroom, no toilet paper holder, but roll of paper standing on floor instead. My loved ones stayed at a nearby hotel for the same price with much bigger […] rooms, better location and two pools. I would go there instead. Mehr

Hotel was very nice, clean and a lot of space. Just need to have a window in the bedroom. That was the only thing I found to be wrong. Would stay there again. View was good. Surprise fire works. GREAT.

The hotel is in a great location. However, everything down to the toilet paper holder is damaged. The AC is very noisy and spotty at best. There is no air conditioning or air circulating in the bath room, which resulted in the most unpleasant smell. The staff didn't seem to care that we were uncomfortable. PROS: 1. extremely spacious room 2. gorgeous bay view with sunset 3. full kitchen 4. dvd player 5. close walk to abundant restuarants/bars 6. frager's island restaurant has great music and fantastic food 7. jacuzzi bathtub 8. digital thermostat 9. the sheets on the bed were very comfortable/soft CONS: 1. ant-like insects in the kitchen 2. some dirty […] dishes in the cabinet 3. dirty tile floors in kitchen 4. kitchen ceiling tiles were dirty and old looking as well 4. area rug in main room with burnt iron mark 5. off-white/blue towels. i've never been to a hotel with towels other than white. they looked faded and old 6. the dresser was missing a handle 7. light fixtures in the bathroom by the sink appeared to be loose, and did not seem well-secured 8. the light fixture trim in the shower was rusty 9. shower curtain had a hole/rip in it overall it was an okay stay, but i don't see myself staying here again. i rather pay more and be in a cleaner, nicer place. Nice, spacious room w/ separate living area and very nice view of bay (not ocean). Traffic from bar can be noisy at night. Near several good restaurants, but a drive from Boardwalk. This is a timeshare, so no restaurant on site, no room service or other hotel services. But room is nicely decorated and spacious. The hotel was nice, but there were many things that were not up to standard. It was nice to have a kitchenette filled with dishes, silverware and glasses, a full-size fridge, a stove and microwave. The room was clean but didn't give a 'sanitary' feel. It was also nice to have a separate bedroom with doors from the common area and kitchenette. There […] was not a coffee pot in the coffee maker and only one bags worth of coffee for reg/decaf. We noticed this as we were rushing to pack up for the early 10am check out. The sofa was somewhat dingy and the pull-out bed portion (we used for our kids to sleep in) was not so nice. The walls of the rooms were thin as we heard the conversation of our neighbors throughout the night (wasn't an issue because we were all tired from the trip out.) The staff was very nice and accomodating though definitely not impressive. The pool was not open (late April stay) though looked enjoyable if it were. Location is a little away from the Boardwalk but not a long drive at all. Plenty of restaurants, etc. in the immediate area. We would probably stay there again knowing the small issues we found and address them at time of arrival. Might look into something closer to the boardwalk if you don't have your own transportation.
