Super Hotel. An der Atlantikbucht gelegen, Zimmer mit Meerblick buchbar. Wunderschöne Hotelanlage, mit tollem Spa-Bereich. Im Whirlpool sitzen und aufs Meer blicken. Zimmer top eingerichtet, super Service, sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend, aufmerksam. Golfplatz vorhanden, ca. 3 km bis in die nächste Ortschaft. Wunderschön gelegen, wunderschönes Hotel und top Service. Kein Wenn und Aber. Einfach grandios.

B&B direkt über hauseigenem Pub mit dem besten Essen an der Südküste. Zimmer einwandfrei, sehr freundliches Personal und zur Krönung bekommt mann das Frühstück wie gewünscht frisch serviert. Übrigens der beste Ausgangspunkt für den Ring of Kerry.

Das Hotel liegt an der Hauptstraße von Killarney nach Kenmare. Direkt dahinter liegt der Lower Lake. Zum Muckross House and Gardens sind es nur rund 2 km. Ins Zentrum von Killarney ca. 1 km. To me a four star hotel means all aspects of the hotel must be up to scratch. While this hotel was very clean and the decor was lovely, the food in the bistro was definitely not four star. Far from it. The chicken wings to start were fried in the same oil my cod was as I could taste the fish from them. They were served with bottled sauces. My cod wasn't […] freshly prepared. I was also disappointed that I only had a 4ft 6 bed in the room. My husband and myself were awake from 5 because the bed was so small. And no option to move to a single bed. We have just spent 4 days at this Hotel and had a wonderful time. The staff are so friendly and helpful. After spending a great evening in Killarney Town it was great to find we could still have a drink in the friendly bar with cheerful John serving us , cant wait to go back again.

"Great hotel and great value"
Staff were all so friendly, especially the front of house staff, Patricia was lovely to deal with. We stayed in a different hotel in the area last year, although the rooms were also very nice there, the staff were obnoxious and unpleasant to deal with and it does make a huge difference to your over-all stay. Hotel is welcoming and had a warm and inviting […] atmosphere to it. Room was spotless and decorated with beautiful dark wooden furniture, giving a sense of elegance and sofistication. Nice hotel. Could walk to town centre in 10mins - in heels. Room was clean and comfortable. All the staff were helpful and pleasent. Had stayed in another hotel the night before and checked in here the 2nd night as it was cheaper but in the end after paying for breakfast it worked out the same as the higher star hotel. But it didnt spoil the hotel for […] us. Would recommend staying here. Mehr

This is a very nice hotel overall. The bed was very comfortable and clean, if the room and bathroom were a bit on the small side. I thought breakfast (which was not included in our stay) was a bit overpriced but given that we had got such a good deal on the room we were happy to pay. The location was great : very close to town and easy access to muckross […] and the ring of kerry and the staff were both friendly and helpful. Its a pity the hotel doesnt have a gym as my boyfriend was hoping to work out while we were away. We didnt use the spa but the prices seemed especially reasonable. Mehr

"Attending a wedding across in the Brehon"
We were attending a wedding across in the Brehon hotel, consider it silly to waste money on a five star hotel room during a wedding when all you really want is a bed between 4am and 10am. Stayed in this very nice hotel, 5 mins walk from the Brehon. Good clean and comfy hotel with a really good price.

"Complimentary Internet Does Not Work"
This hotel is lovely if a little far from central Killarney. We did not find it shabby or smelling of smoke as a past reviewer did. It does take a good 15 minutes to walk downtown, and there is no public transportation within the city. O'Connor Tours does pick up and drop off at this hotel. For all intents and purposes though, the promised free internet […] in the rooms is useless. It does not work on computers with newer operating systems (windows vista or windows 7). We had business to attend to over the internet during our stay at Riverside Hotel and had to postpone it. The internet does work for some reason on iphones and ipod touches, but the wireless signal is frustratingly weak in the guestrooms, and we were able to do little more than check emails. The management is aware of this problem and sympathetic, but do not seem to have plans to upgrade their internet any time soon. So if you need to access the internet during your stay, I cannot recommend the Riverside Hotel. Mehr
"Beware- Pictures do not tell the full story."
The rooms are tiny, do not expect your non-smoking room to be a non-smoking room. The carpet of the room floor was stained and showing signs of wear. Wireless internet was weak, I had to sit in the hotel lobby to get a strong enough signal to work with. The hotel is a long walk from the certer of the town.

This is a 3 star hotel, certainly not a 4 star. A few issues: a) Mattress had a major dip in it making sleep difficult. We complained and they said they would change the mattress. We found out that they had in fact only flipped it! b) They double booked another person to our same room. Upon returning from a day out we found someone trying to get in […] to our room. Hotel sorted this out eventually and comped us breakfast. c) food was average, soup over-seasoned and breakfast was bland. d) decor is very old fashioned. (The lift was wall-papered and had dado-rail!) Website is misleading. Overall we had a great time in Killarney and would love to come back, but would stay somewhere else Mehr

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had bad luck though where breakfast was concerned had to wait an hour the first morning but was told I wouldn't have to pay for it. We weren't told the week day times for breakfast when we checked in and presumed it was the same as the weekend one and as a result missed out on the cooked breakfast. The staff were […] very apologetic and let us stay to help ourselves to cereal, bread etc. even though we were the only ones there. The staff were really nice and obliging. It's an ideal location to Killarney town around a 10-15 minute walk and only a few minutes in the taxi to the Gleneagle hotel where we attended concerts. Mehr

"Excellent hotel in excellent location"
We enjoyed our three day stay at the Riverside. The hotel is convenient for the excitement in the centre of Kilarney. The breakfasts were good and well presented. The bus tour companies all pick up from the Riverside. The Ring of Kerry tour and The Gap of Dunloe Adventure were excellent.
"Modern large hotel good for home base for day trips"
Hotel is very new and modern our room had a problem with a window , but that was na exception to the overall quality of this hotel. Right down the road from the National Park,and a pretty good walk to town, but Kilarney is very touristry, so not much local flavor anyway. Good base for Dingle & Ring of Kerry trips.
