Motel 6 - Dubuque, IA

We checked in...got to the room and immediately checked out. Very seedy motel. Did not feel comfortable staying.

There were cigarette ashes on the beside table and a dirty washcloth had been thrown over the shower curtain bar and was still there, dried stiff. We did not notice this until the next morning or we would not have stayed in the room and would have demanded a refund.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the University of Dubuque. The price was cheap. The room was in good order and in a decent part of town. There was a small water stain on the wall near the ceiling, but we didn't see any mold growing. For a quick stop over when you are concerned about just having a bed this is a good stop. The air conditioner leaked water so there was water about a foot into the carpeting in the room. There were no kleenex, shampoo or conditioner in room. Pool had no water in it.

will not stay at again. the room was full of flys the towels were like sandpaper, no shampoo for the guest unless you pay for it. the say they have a pool, but they do if you want to swim in concret. some rooms have a fridge and others dont. no hair dryers. small rooms small tv"s. not worth it.

Was on way from KC to Milwaukee and due to road construction was running later than planned. Ended up in Dubuque after midnight and this hotel was closeby and at out pricepoint of $50. Room was clean hotel was older

After photographing a wedding in nearby Dyersville all day, I pulled up to the Motel 6 around 11:00pm exhausted and eager to pass out in my bed. The front desk attendant was very rude to me, which was unusual, as Iowans typically are very hospitable and friendly. After receiving my key, I drove to the back of the motel, where I was greeted with cat […] calls from groups of half-dressed drunks loitering in the parking lot near my room. There was also a dumpster with mattresses in it not far from my specific room. I immediately took ALL of my valuables, went inside, and bolted the door. I could hear music playing outside for much of the night. The remote to my tv did not work, and the bathtub looked very creepy. Thankfully I survived the night without getting assaulted or dismembered, and am here to write this review. Mehr

The room was very nice and good location. The front desk help was very pleasant and very helpful. Cleaning staff made sure that we had enough towels and that everything was alright. I was disappointed that they advertised a pool but it was empty.

From now on I stay at Super 8......Great......

The room smelled terrible, we used air freshner but it did't help. The bath room was very dirty and need of repair.

Very dissatisfied. Never again. Hotel clerk was not friendly at all. We booked for a queen size bed non smoking and recieved a room with 2 double beds. The lock on the door was broke, remote for tv missing, floors filthy, refridgerator dirty, and room smelled of cigarette smoke. We called desk clerk to with complaints and was basically ignored.

My first room was disgusting. It stunk so bad I could not stand it. The carpet and everything in the room was damp and the overall upkeep of the motel was very poor. The second room I got (could not take the first room anymore) did not stink as bad but still had a very unplesant ordor. As well, this room was also very damp.
