Holiday Inn Express Suites Downtown Market - San Antonio

My family and I went recently for the Tejano explosion and the guy at the front dear was so helpful :) I can't remember his name but he was do nice and very kind :) we defiantly gonna stay here again :)

Staff very friendly and very helpful, like the suite, breakfast was very good. if i have to say a complaint it would be the pool was hot, very close to sauna, not able to swim. All in all this will be my next stay defiantely.

Overall the hotel was decent. My room was spacious, and somewhat clean, but not bad. The shower curtain had a mildew smell, nasty. As far as customer service, they did poorly. When I checked in I was not greeted by anyone. They gave me the keys to someone's room, mortified when I walked into a room with someone in there. To make matters worse, a couple […] day later someone walked into my room. When we complained to the front desk, they didn't seem to care, they just said that it would be "documented". Then when I checked out, they didn't even acknowledge me. Soo rude! Mehr

Stay was fine. Good service. But hot tub was broken. I was told everyday that it would be fixed and then over heard them saying that it would not be fixed anytime soon to newly arriving guests. Not cool but other than that a fair experience. It is downtown not super close to everything but close enough. Rooms are cleaned if you ask.

Pretty good hotel me and my husband had a nice experience here the rooms were good loved the space but it could of been a bit more clean in the bathroom but other than that it was good and loved that it had complimentary breakfast i would stay here again!

My experience didn't match up with the previous reviews. Biggest issue was the lack of parking. Also not as nice as other Holiday Inn Expresses where I have stayed previously.

There was a "club" right outside of our hotel room. We could not sleep because of that horrible banging music. We asked the hotel clerk to change our room and they said we couldn't switch rooms because we made the reservation with hotels.com.

The only thing was the elevator was slow everything else great

It was the worst stay at a hotel I've ever had.

The room was extremely comfortable and the staff was wonderful. I wasn't crazy about the location but they do have a shuttle bus to the riverwalk.

There is a night club 100 feet behind the hotel and the music in my room was iPhone decibel rated at 92 at midnight. When I asked the front desk they acted like they had never heard it. It was stunning how loud it was and when the DJ was talking it was like he was in bed with us. The night manager and desk employee could not agree what the price was […] on the drinks and he began to argue with the young man. There were two roaches having a drag race in the lobby and we do not feel smarter for staying at a Holiday Inn Express San Antonio-Market Street. Mehr

This is a nice hotel. It is clean, comfy, and has a nice pool. BUT there is a bar ("ice house" all outdoor style") right behind the hotel that plays loud music until midnight. It's horrible - you can hear and feel the music all the way at the front of the hotel (where my room was). The front desk could only say that the music is legal until midnight […] (until then you gotta suffer). I will not stay here again unless I completely lose my hearing. But I might hang out at that ice house - it's rockin' and LOUD (loud music, loud Harleys coming and going). Mehr

Easy to get to. Close to Riverwalk and good restaurants. Morning buffett was wonderful and filled us up for a full day at Sea World.

I called two times to complain about a bar that is located right behind hotel due to the loud music. I was not able to fall to sleep till after 1:00 a.m, due to the music. I will never again stay there due to that.

Our overall stay was okay, but we wouldn't stay there again. The reviews about the dirty carpet are true. The carpet doesn't appear dirty but for some reason it left our socks "black" at the bottoms. The shower flooded while taking a shower and the bedspreads had stains on them....

Very satisfied with cleanliness of the room. Roomy enough for a family of 4. Walk is rather far (30 to 45 minutes) from River and Alamo; so best to walk in day light. Streets are really dark at night to walk through.

My son is in the Navy down here. He will be there till June. This was best hotel. We will be staying here from now on.

Room was clean, comfortable. There weren't any bath towels in the room when we got there, but just requested them from the front desk and received them without delay. Overall, it was a decent place to stay and met our needs.

Very nice to stay free breakfast in the morning I would stay again very comfortable recomended 100%

This hotel was a great size for our family of 5. We were able to slide our door shut in the bedroom & separate it from the living space. The morning breakfast was more than adequate, filing, & money saving. We were also conveniently located close to the market & close to an artsy area known as "south town". The only issue we had in our bedroom, on the […] 4 th floor, was that it began to leak after the rain. We moved out in the morning but never compensated for the hassle. Mehr

The hotel was great, but the room was not clean. The room looks good, but the floor was dirty, I walk around with my white socks, it turns blk in 5 mins. Everything else were good, friendly stuff, hot breakfast . Real close to riverwalk.

We had 2 adults, 2 children & a teenager and had plenty of room! We got the Queen suite which had 2 queen beds & a sofa couch in another area. there was a door to seperate the beds from the living/sitting area. 2 tv's... Excellent Property and Service!!!!

Very convenient location - short cab ride to the Alamo area and Market Square. The staff is always wonderful. We read complaints about loud music at night, but we have stayed here twice- both times on weekends- and never been bothered. The only complaint is that the elevator is quite slow and there is no A/C in it. Suite easily sleeps 6 or 7 and no […] one is walking all over each other. About 1/2 mile walk from Market Square and within 1 mile of River Walk. Felt safe to walk even after dark although be aware of the birds between motel and Market Square (my husband got a surprise on the head). Good hot breakfast. Helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again.

Love the room, only thing we all didn't like were the smelly pillows. These pillows need to be cleaned or replaced, too skink!!!

The hotel was ok. It is older but decently maintained. The room was big and mostly clean, but the carpet felt really dirty. If you are staying on a Friday or Saturday night, there is a bar across the street that plays music really loud until closing time. The music can be heard anywhere in the hotel. The parking lot was full of empty beer cans and bottles […] every morning we were there, so I wasn't very comfortable about the security of the parking lot. The weekday staff was very courteous and helpful, but the weekend staff acted like the guests were an inconvenience. The breakfast was good for what it was, but on the weekend it isn't kept stocked. I think the hotel would be great for a group of college people on a party trip but would suggest finding someplace else for a business or family trip. Mehr

less than five mins from the riverwalk, great breakfast choices, very nice rooms, can not beat the price and location!

Very good hotel. Was upgraded to the double king suite. Very nice room. A/C didn't cool all that well, but we were still comfortable. Breakfast buffet was very good w/ good choices. Will use again if in downtown San Antonio again.

this hotel had an excellent breakfast bar. it is walking distance from the riverwalk, but just know that you will be WALKING for a minute. not a good walk if children are with you. the suite was nice, staff OK. the hallway had a distinct odor but it didnt follow into the room. overall, it was a good stay!

Best Continental breakfast ever had at ANY hotel we've stayed at. Lot of variety, freshness & quantity. Hotel staff was VERY friendly and accomodated us wonderfully. Rooms were clean. I highly recommend this hotel.

The front desk was friendly, we arrived before noon and we got our room. Every one have a smily face, location is great. I would stay there again when visiting San Antonio

If you want to get away and don't want anyone to find you, this is the place to be. My spouse and I stayed here on a romantic weekend. Overall our stay was wonderful. Our room very very comfortable and clean. The hotel staff were great and catered to our needs. The only down fall is that it is located away from most places. I had to drive 3 miles to […] get to a gas station. But other than that we really enjoyed our 2 night stay and will book here again in the future. Mehr

Hotel is about 1-2 miles from riverwalk. Walking during the day is fine but once it gets dark, walking in the area is "shady". Otherwise hotel is very good. We used car to travel to riverwalk and parked in paid parking there. 6-10 $ parking available in the riverwalk area.
