Das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen: Das Personal am Empfang war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten ein Drei-Bett-Zimmer gebucht, was ausreichend groß war für drei Mädels (17-23 Jahre) und Gepäck. Der Frühstücksarum ist recht klein, somit ist es ebsser, lieber etwas früher zum Frühstück zu gehen (das Off-Peak-Ticket für die U-Bahn ist ab 9.30 Uhr […] gültig, daher wird es meist gegen 8.45 recht voll) - neben dem Buffet mit Cornflakes, Obst, Brötchen udn Marmelade sowie Joghurt und Getränken bekommt man frischen Toast an den Tisch (und auf Nachfrage bekommt man Toast nach). Alles in allem ein tolles Hotel in guter Lage und sehr zu empfehlen. Mehr

Wir haben ein 3-Personen-Zimmer gebucht, wurden jedoch in 2 und 1 Zimmer aufgeteilt, wo das eine Zimmer einen Stockwerk höher als das andere lag. Nach dreimaliger Aufforderung, die Zimmer nahe beieinander zu haben, hat dies endlich funktioniert. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist von der Auswahl sehr gut, jedoch gibt es im Frühstücksraum nicht genügend Plätze, […] sodass am zweiten Tag ca 15 Personen vor der Tür standen und warten mussten, bis jemand den Platz räumt. Dies sind die zwei großen Kritikpunkte, positiv ist jedoch die gute Erreichbarkeit und viele Geschäfte auf der Nebenstraße. Mehr

Das Hotel ist zwei Minuten von der nächsten U-Bahnhaltestelle entfernt. Diese Haltestelle liegt noch in Zone zwei (also noch zentral). In der gesamten Zeit hatte ich Kontakt zu drei Portiers. Mit Zweien war ich recht zufrieden, den dritten kann man jedoch getrost als unfreundlich bezeichnen. Für britische Verhältnisse sogar als sehr unfreundlich. Dass […] das Zugangskartensystem mal nicht funktioniert kann vorkommen. Dass dann allerdings ein Mitarbeiter des Hotels mein Zimmer für einen anderen Gast öffnet empfand ich als weniger erfreulich. Zur Sauberkeit: War in den Zimmern recht zufriedenstellend. Allerdings war der Teppichboden im Frühstückszimmer dann doch schon recht stark mit Marmelade und sonstigen Frühstückszutaten getränkt. Was ich auch zum ersten mal erlebt habe, ist dass man Gepäck nicht noch für ein paar Stunden in einer Kammer abstellen kann. Die einzige Möglichkeit bestand darin, es im Treppenflur zu deponieren. Das Hotel ist verseucht!

Das Zimmer war so klein, es gab nicht mal Platz um den Koffer abzustellen, zwei Personen konnten nicht nebeneinander stehen. Das Badezimmer war schimmlig, die Kacheln am Boden und den Wänden teilweise zerbrochen, die Spülung defekt. Das Frühstück ist dürftig, das Personal ist unfreundlich, der Raum klein und schäbig. Lord Jim Hotel has good connections to Heathrow Airport with the Picadilly Line as well as to the West End. The situation is definitely a plus but otherwise not much to write home about. Extremely small rooms and bathrooms, but at least they were clean.

Lage des Hotels ist sehr zentral zu allen öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel in unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es Geschäfte und Lokale die Zimmer sind sehr klein aber sauber Frühstück ist gut und reichlich Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbreit.

Good hotel in general, great location (direct line from train station to the hotel station "Earl's Court"). Some rooms are a little bit small for two persons so make sure you ask a room engouh large for two people. Unless that, breakfast was very good, bathroom very clean and the people who work there, very nice.

It would have been better if you were given 2 pillows rather than just the one each. Also more choice for breakfast and a bigger breakfast room, we had to take our breakfast back to our rooms to eat as there were no tables.

Very small room, but not bad considering the location and the fact that you shouldn't be in it very much. The toilet was so close to the wall I had to sit sideways to use it. I know there isn't much else they can do with the space available, but it is something to consider. The location is great. I stayed in a quad room for 2 nights over new year. Although this place only has a 2* rating it is worth more. Excellent location just a couple of Minutes from the Tube. The Staff were VERY friendly allowing us to leave our luggage both before checkin and after check out. Breakfast was basic but ok. Rooms were small but CLEAN. The room was terribly small. We had two beds in the room and there was no space for our suitcases. I had bugs in my bed and got bitten (I managed to kill two!) I was disappointed for the price I had paid. The staff was reasonably friendly though.

Hotel pictures of rooms do match accomodation. Paper peeling, two single beds crammed in a single room a shower u cannot bend down or turn around in. No dtessing table a half hanging wardrobe no good for evening dresses. No telephone until requested when advertised all rooms had telephone. Breakfast basic and not much left if u down at 9.15 be warned […] everything gets cleared away at 9.30 whether you have finished or not. Would not recommend and will not be staying over again. Good location hotel, facilities fine, free wi-fi.

1. the room is located lower ground floor, garage is outside the windows, every morning staff throw away rubbish and make so much noise, bang bang bang!!! 2. although the breakfast (2 hours) is included, there is not enough food for us one hour before. 3. the bed bug/flea problem is very very serious!!!!!!!!!!and I am still suffering from the itchiness […] now!!!!! A well positioned small hotel with even smaller rooms, however they were normal size for the cost. Staff were excellent andcould not habe been more helpful with their local knowledge.

Extremely handy to the tube and was close by to restaurants, pubs, supermarkets etc.. The breakfast was standard but just what you would need. The 3 bedded room and bathroom was tiny for the 3 of us and made it difficult to find space for our luggage but as we spent most of the day out and because of its great location it didnt really bother us. Close to Earl's court station. We had the family room (Space for family of 5 with kids but we were three adults) on the first floor so easy on moving bags. Spacious room. Very friendly and courteous staff. Very quiet. Charming old style. Internet kind of slow.

this hotel is nicely located a couple blocks from an under ground station. the room is small (it takes some maneuvering to fit a suitcase open on the floor) but if you're not there for anything other than to sleep and shower, its a great place

I could deal with the small rooms. I went to London for the sights, not spacious rooms. But I was eaten alive by the bed bugs. When I told the management, they said they'd known of the problem and put me in another room - that still had bugs. They knew of the bugs and put guests in the rooms without doing anything about the bugs. The Earls Court area […] is perfect for getting around London and was safe. The location of the hotel was great within walking distance to the Earl's Court sub station and near a pick up point for the hop on/hop off bus tours. It was around the corner from a fairly large variety of restaurants. The room was quite clean and the shower was strong with lots of hot water. Those are the positives. The staff was fairly helpful but […] not always friendly. There was no guide in the room to the area or services of the hotel. The complimentary breakfast consisted of the same thing every morning. The room was small (about a foot wider than the double bed) and storage was negligible. We had to be creative to move around and access our luggage in the room. The bathroom smelled musty. The walls were extremely thin and even regular conversational tones could be heard. For the price, other than the location and cleanliness of the room, I couldn't recommend this hotel. Mehr

We had asked for a twin room for a three night stay. We got the smallest doble room I have ever seen instead and the bathroom was tiny aswell.We had to put the only cheer in the room on top of the closet to fit our two (normal size) suitcases. For a final night we got to change to a twin room. The only difference was that there was a little gap between […] the beds and in this room your knees were only touchin the showercurtin when sittin on the toilet and not acctually in the shower as oppose to the first room. I had read some awful reviews on Trip Advisor prior to my travels so was a little nervous; however, it wasn't a bad experience. The guy at the reception is a little harsh, I found that it really helps to be super nice to him and then he works with you rather than against you. There were 4 of us traveling together and had reserved 2 double beds and […] once he saw the size of our luggage he gave us a room on the ground floor so we didn't have to lug things upstairs (though there is a small lift). The room was the smallest we stayed in during my 2 week trip through Europe. The beds though were big, pretty much your standard double bed size in the States. They unfortunately weren't the most comfortable things in the world. The bathroom was small but it had everything you needed (except a hairdryer which was unfortunate for us because ours had a blow-out prior to arriving in London). The location of this hotel is amazing. It is a short walk (3 minutes) from Earl's Court stop on the tube and from there you can get practically anywhere. There is also a market on the corner of the street up from the hotel that is really top-notch. In addition, there are various restaurants and cute shops all within walking distance. If you aren't too much of a hotel snob and are wanting to save some money, this is definitely a great hotel for you. It gives you the necessasities and the location can't be beat. Mehr

This hotel is fine--our room, 12, was small but fairly clean. The staff was very accommodating. The en suite bath had a shower. Don't expect a grand suite but if you are wanting a reasonably priced room in an extremely convenient location minutes from the Earl's Court underground station, this is the place for you.

I knew the room would be tiny and so it was. But, a room at the rear of the hotel is quiet and upper floors look at the leaves of the trees in the back. Small but modern bathroom, comfortable shower--tiny sink. The staff was very nice. I went to breakfast only once and it was very crowded. But, since there is coffee/tea service in the room, I just grabbed […] a few things and went back to my room. The wakeup call and cab were on time because of their communication with me the night before. They all seemed to have a sense of humor. Unless you enjoy very confined spaces, I would not recommend this hotel. Even though the service and location was very good, the rooms are tiny and quite dated. If we hadn't already paid for the room, we would have gone elsewhere.

We booked a room for 3 : the room was small but very clean, the bathroom as well. The street is quiet but a 3-minute walk to the Earl's Court tube station, which is on both the District and the Picadilly Line and therefore makes the hotel very convenient to get to, whether coming from St Pancras, King's Cross, Victoria or Heathrow. There are also a […] few nice pubs, a few shops (Boots, M&S) and several fast-food restaurants on the main street that's perpendicular to Penywen Rd. The service was great, we met 3 different employees, all of them really nice, especially the man on duty on Sunday, who was absolutely lovely and very helpful when we came to pick up the luggages we had left in the morning because our train was in the evening. Stayed in a triple room on the top floor. Small and warm, but we weren't there to be in the room. Location was great within the city and close to the Underground station. Basic. Lift did work when we were there, tho had to take stairs where the lift left off. Glad to be able to leave our luggage before and after check in/out times.

Hotel was overbooked on arrival, so one of our party had to take a room a few doors up the road (was of comparable standard so no big issues but not the best start). Room was adequate but small and the bathroom was tiny. No thrills! Was used as a convient place to Victoria Palace, which it was and that was all you could say! Apart from the lovely man on Reception everyone else was miserable, even the girls doing breakfast in the morning. The room was tiny, I spent my night with my nose to the wall! The room was exceptionally small and quite run down. Even by London standards more a broom closet than a hotel room. Hotel staff was friendly, but I didn't get the double room that I had ordered because of overbooking issues by the management. I booked a room with two twin beds, but the concierge tried to give me a hotel with only 1 double bed, after arguing with him for 15 min he finally gave me a room with a double and a twin bed. He told me that his reservation print out didn't show that I booked 2 beds, so moral of the story, call and make sure what you booked on hotels.com is what the […] hotel actually booked for you. Other than that, the beds were hard as rocks but were manageable, and the second night I was there the sheets and bed were wet after they cleaned them. The breakfast was not bad, just cereal, yogurt, toast, danishes, apples, and juice. Also, ask for a room thats not in the basement where the breakfast room is because the staff likes to hang out down there at night and create quite a bit of noise, and the noise in the morning is almost unbearable from other guests going to the breakfast room. The location is great, right around the corner from the underground exit at Earl's Court, which is a very convenient exit and close to just about everything. The Lord Jim hotel is conveniently located for earls court underground and some decent pubs and local shops. The hotel itself though is pretty basic. Small room and most basic of breakfasts.

The staff is very nice and helpful. I arrived from an oversees flight & had planned to just drop of my luggage at the hotel at around 9 AM. However, they let me check-in early which I greatly appreciated after having been traveling for 18 hrs. The rooms are tiny but fine if you just want a place to sleep. Toilets were so small I could barely turn around. Room is very small and the rugs seem very old and unclean. Room lights are minimal; TV channels are minimal and switched very slow. Nevertheless breakfast was fine

A quiet hotel near Underground Station Earls Court. We got what we payed for, except we asked for 3 single beds but instead we got one dubble and one single. Because the hotel only had this kind for a company of 3. So this was because of the booking form we filled in here at hotels.com Very friendly staff, the breakfeast was ok but I missed eggs on […] the menu. You get what you pay for. The location suited me. The price was good. The room was small. Could do with re-decoration. OK for short stays.

I had a super stay at this hotel. Very clean room with all the amenties you would expect from a budget en-suite room. Having stayed in many rooms of this nature I would easily rank this 1st. I had the added bonus of a balcony thrown in too. The continental breakfast was basic but sufficient. We spent just 2 nights. Small rooms but ideal for short stay.In room were kettle and tea, coffe, hair dryer, and lcd tv and phone. We were so suprised we found small private shower. Near were lot of kebabs shops restaurants and most important M&S and Sainsburry.Subway was 5 min walk.

I took my 11 year old son to London for a birthday treat to see 'Top Gear Live' at Earl's Court. I choose this hotel from the reviews I'd read, it's proximity and price. Needless to say neither of us were disappointed. We stayed for two nights and had a warm welcome, all our paperwork (I booked on-line) was in order for our arrival. Hotel is really closer to Earls court underground and its really easy to come late to hotel after seeing london. And if someone directly leave to heathrow, have to take the picadilly line and its going through earls court. And very few minutes to central london. If you are thinking to save time this is idea. But room is really small. hardly kept our luggages. but bathroom is clean and towels and bedsheets also clean. if room size doesnt matters then this hotel is ideal. Breakfast is also good, staff is good. They kept our luggage after checkout also. So no complains except the size of the room. But its really worth with the price we paid.
