Es war alles in Ordnung. Die Zimmer sauber, der Service einwandfrei. Vor dem Haus bedienen 2 Buslinien die Haltestelle, sodass man maximal 10 Minuten auf den nächsten Bus warten muss, der dann in 10-15 Minuten am Hauptbahnhof ist. So gesehen, ist das Hotel wirklich gut gelegen. Störend war nur die laute Straße. Fenster offen lassen war nur mit Oropax möglich. Wenn möglich, sollte man ein Zimmer auf die andere Seite buchen, da ist es bestimmt leiser.

sehr gut, gute Lage ca. 5 Min zur Trainstation, Frühstück zu teuer - 16 Euro, Alternative in einer Bar gegenüber für ca. 8 Euro.

Die Herengracht und die Keizersgracht repräsentieren mit ihren prächtigen Patrizierhäusern aus dem 17. und 18. Jahrhundert das klassische Amsterdam. Einige dieser Häuser dienen heute als Museum, darunter auch das so genannte Kattenkabinet, das wohl zu den exzentrischsten Museen Amsterdams zählt. Die Amstel ist ein kanalisierter Fluss, auf dem sich zahlreiche Hausboote befinden und der zwischen der Keizersgracht und der Prinsengracht von der viel fotografierten Magere Brug (Magere Brücke) überspannt wird. Der schwimmende Blumenmarkt ist ebenfalls ein beliebtes Fotomotiv.

ich kann dieses Hotel absolut weiterempfehlen. Beim Check-inn hat alles reibungslos geklappt, die in der Buchung angegebenen Wünsche (Zimmer zum Innenhof etc) wurden alle berücksichtigt. Das Hotel ist klein aber sehr schön. Das Personal hilfsbereit und nett. Frühstück haben wir nicht genutzt, da es in Amsterdam viele schöne kleine Cafes gibt in denen […] man lecker frühstücken kann. Das Hotel hat eine super Lage um Amsterdam zu Fuß zu erkunden. Alle Sehenwürdigkeiten sind in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Haltestellen verschiedener Bahnlinien sind aber auch direkt vor der Tür. Für alle die mit dem Auto anreisen, kann ich das P+R Parkhaus am Olympiastadion empfehlen. Mehr

"Liegt zentral"
War alles soweit in Ordnung. Der Preis für das Frühstück war exorbitant hoch mit 19.50 bezw.22.-€ Der Zimmerservice war sehr gut.
"Hotel Albus - Perfekte Lage für City-Trip"
Wir waren für 3 Nächte im Hotel Albus und waren sehr zufrieden. Das Zimmer ist geräumig und ist sehr sauber. Einzig fanden wir schade, dass es keine Minibar im Zimmer hat. Dafür hat es eine Nespresso-Kaffeemaschine und gratis Wasser. Wir waren im Zimmer 801 zuoberst wo im Gang die Lüftung 24 h läuft und man hört diese auch im Zimmer. Da das Geräusch […] gleichmässig ist, hat es uns persönlich nicht wirklich gestört (man ist auch meistens spät im Bett und sehr müde). Ansonsten gibt es nichts auszusetzten. Alle Sehenswürdikeiten, Bars, Clubs, Einkaufsstrasse usw. liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Werde auf jeden Fall wieder dort buchen bei meinem nächsten Besuch in Amsterdam. Mehr
"Doppelzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten"
Unterschied zwischen Doppelzimmer mit Queensize Bett und Doppelzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten ist die Ritze in der Mitte.. Leider keine seperaten (getrennte) Betten!
Uns wurde das Zimmer im 1. Stock zugeteilt, worüber wir nicht sehr glücklich waren, liegt das Zimmer doch auf die Strassenseite. Es war völlig unproblematisch, ein Zimmer im 5. Stock zu bekommen. Mit unserem Splenditcityroom im 5. Stock, und waren sehr zufrieden. Das Hotel und die Zimmer verfügen über ein modernes Design, was sehr ansprechbar ist. Die […] Nespressomaschine auf dem Zimmer, wurde von uns auch gerne benützt. Die Lage ist absolut ideal, für Ausgehen, Shopping etc. Wir würden das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen und weiterempfehlen. "Sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel"
Das Hotel hat eine super Lage, schöne Zimmer und ein überaus freundliches Personal. Da nicht alle Zimmer belegt waren, wurden unsere gebuchten Zimmer gratis auf eine höhere Preisklasse umgebucht! Das ist ein Service!
"Kleines aber feines Hotel"
Die Zimmer sind wirklich extrem klein. Das Putzpersonal war etwas minimalistisch. Der Roomservice war okay. Leider keine Minibar vorhanden, dafür eine Nespresso-Maschine. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen (nur 3 Gehminuten bis zur Einkaufsstrasse). Für einen Kurztrip ohne spezielle Sonderwünsche kann ich das Hotel auf jedenfall weiterempfehlen!

"Schönes Hotel mitten in der Stadt"
Das Albus Hotel liegt mitten im Zentrum von Amsterdam, die straßenseitigen Zimmer sind zwar etwas laut, aber für diese Lage zu einem fairen Preis nimmt man das in Kauf. Die Zimmer sind neu, stylisch, für Amsterdamer Verhältnisse wirklich geräumig und sehr sauber. Es gibt allerdings keine Klimaanlage. Wir haben bei 27 Grad Außentemperatur (wohl eher […] ungewöhnlich für Amsterdam) deshalb mit offenen Fenstern geschlafen und wurden von Gelsen zerstochen. Empfehlenswert ist im Sommer also auf jeden Fall einen Gelsenstecker mitzunehmen! Das war aber wirklich das einzige Manko. Sonst ist dieses Hotel absolut empfehlenswert! Mehr

"Nice hotel but .... over-charged?"
Staff suggested an upgrade as soon as we arrived which we accepted but on leaving were charged tax which we had already paid through Hotels.com. Feel that the overall price was extremely expensive and not prepared to pay the price charged for breakfast so went elsewhere. Otherwise room was comfortable and clean.

"Super Hotel, but no free Wifi!"
We were very happy with this hotel. Great location (light sleepers might want to ask for a room away from the street), good places to have dinner or a drink in walking distance (try the Cocktail bar on the corner!), rooms are small but offer all you need except free wifi! Hotel appears to be newly refurbished. Rooms are clean, nice decor, but a little small. Great location - main attractions are walking distance. However, staff have poor customer service skills and beware of hidden city tax charges!!! I was harassed by the staff and locked out of my room everyday of my 3 day stay because the hotel failed to inform me […] of the hidden charges on arrival and instead were hounding me down daily to pay additional charges. Also room service took forever resulting to me having to visit the bar to collect my order. Overall an ok stay for the price paid but the staff really require customer service training!!!!! Mehr

Me and my best friend stayed there for three nights and were generally pleased. First of all, the positives: - Coffee machine. - Cabled ethernet internet access. iPhone, iPad, thin laptops a no-go though. - Pleasant bartender. The negatives: - The TVs are controlled sentrally, and actually made it impossible for us to switch of due to a faulty remote. - […] Small room. - Wifi (in lobby) is 12€ for 24 hours. EXPENSIVE! "Very nice hotel and great location"
This is a very nice hotel located close to many attractions - museums, restaurants, art galleries. Although it can be noisy at night due to where it is situated, the hotel provides means for blocking it out in order to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I would definitely stay here again.

"Hotel Albus Amsterdam - great hotel"
We had 2 nights at the Albus in an up graded room. The bed was very comfortable and big and the bathroom had a big walk in shower. It was not far to get to any of the sights but far enough out not to be noisy. There was no canal view but we were out all day so that didn't matter. We didn't eat at the hotel as the breakfast seemed quite expensive but […] just down the road along the tulip market there are lots of cafes offering every kind of breakfast possible. Mehr

The hotel is beautiful but if you get a room facing the main street out front it's over for getting a good night's sleep.
"Nice hotel but for adults not family with children"
During our trip to Europe we stayed is seven differente hotels. This one was a very centric location , modern and nicely decorated, however was also the only one where our three children seemed to bother the neighbors below and next to us which was very stressing for my husband and I. As I knocked the walls and figured out there were way too thin so […] our children's talking and walking was heard clearly by others. Also a baby crying in another room was heard sound and clear in our room (and he was not crying that much). I would not recommend it for families with young children. Also, the rate does no include parking, or in room wireless or breakfast (most hotels included at least one of these if not all). Mehr

It was a good choice. Not very large room, but good enough for two people. Close to a movie center, nice to have fun and come back late. The only thing I would expect to be better if they can have a double bed rather than two single bed put together.

Check-in and check-out went very smoothly. Room and beds were comfortable, bathroom was functional and well-supplied. One quibble: the room had a misaligned door lock, which they never did fix. My wife and I stayed at the Albus Hotel for two nights 31st July and 1st August . We found our room ,as we were told by the receptionist, to be quiet . It was quite a good size and we were very pleased . We were given '25% off Breakfast ' vouchers and the buffet breakfast was excellent. We had no hesitation in booking again for two more nights after […] our cruise - the real purpose of our stay in Amsterdam.We asked for the same room when we returned. On our second stay we were a little disappointed to find the same room was unavailale and were told to have one the same size we would have to pay an upgrade fee. We viewed the room on offer .It was smaller but acceptable ,We were not offered discount vouchers this time but when I asked in the morning they were offered - it's good to ask ! I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly the staff were. They tried to help and were glad to do so. Rooms are very small but clean and cozy. Fantastic maid service. Room was cleaned everyday. This hotel is in a perfect location if you want to know amsterdam by walking. The bathroom had a bad smell. Service is good, receptive people.
"City tax!!??"
This hotel is not a 4 star hotel, very small room, small bathroom, small bed, with dark hallways. Also, when checking out, they asked for 5% city tax that I had no idea about. The receptionist said it is on the website but when I asked she couldn't find it. I didn't like it anyway.

Stayed at the hotel. Great location for what i wanted but for the price the room needs to have A/C. Got hot during the day and sleep was uncomfortable due to being hot.

"Great location, great staff, great room"
Location of this hotel is fantastic. The decor is very comforting. Our room, although a little small was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. Location is right by the flower market and you can reach anything in the city by walking for less than 10 minutes. Breakfast is well set up and the people in the restaurant were excellent. "Albus - AMS"
Front rooms have traffic noise until about 22:00. Hotel is extra clean and the staff very helpful. On the major tram route making the city very accessable. Excellent for our two night stay.
"Excellent staff, MAJOR problem with heat & more..."
The hotel itself is well designed and a nice location with very nice staff but the infrastructure of some parts of this hotel made it a real problem for myself, my wife, her mother and our 17 month-old son. Despite cool temperatures outside, the hotel room as at least 25 degree C (77 F) and not very nice to sleep in despite opening the window (good […] luck as we were on the noisy main street part of the hotel!). Additionally, the sink was clogged and the 2 lights were not located near a plug, one did not work even when plugged in. The Nespresso machine was excellent but, like the lamps was not located by a plug so we had to put it on a chair and plug it in. The hotel staff was excellent and not at all surprised by the heat issue, must be a serious problem that many guests have commented on. For a 4 star hotel, this is simply not correct and needs to be addressed or the start rating should either be lowered or some other indication of this problem be noted. Excellent location and a very fashionable hotel for sure. Could not recommend this will certainly not stay until and unless these problems are corrected. We switched to the 5* NH Krasnapolsky in DAM square, they offered a better price for a far superior room than we had at the Albus, and the temperatures in the room and hotel we far more reasonable. I did try to contact the owner who replies to these comments so as to hopefully lessen the negative comments left on this site but he was not there and no more viable option was given (my wife checked the other room offered but the only windows were located by the ceiling and the temp. was not much better), nor any management chose to contact us directly. We wish them all the best at correcting these problems. Mehr
