Wir waren überrascht bzgl: Zimmerpreis --- Preiswert im vergleich zu anderen die dazu noch bedeutend schlechter sind. Zimmer -- sehr groß mit tollem Balkon Service - Das Personal war nicht nur prof. feundlich--- die waren waren wirklich nett und freundlich. Prädikat .. Empfehlenswert

This hotel is just ok. Kind of far away from downtown Banff but there was transportation available. Was strange to be booked at Spruce Grove Inn but had to check in at the Voyager next door. Did receieve vouchers for breakfast but we didn't get down there until 11am and it was closed. Couldn't even get lunch. A little disappointing. Probably wouldn't […] stay here again. The hotel is joined with the Voyager Inn by a tunnel that they don't tell you about. Info like that would come in handy for guests as there are no staff in the Spruce Grove. You have to go over to the next building to check in. One in the room, you will notice the floor was probably vacuumed and the beds are old. If you plan on a hot shower, you'd better […] not be in a hurry. It took 10 minutes for the water to get warm enough to wash your hands properly, let alone have a shower. I went to here to save ten bucks instead of staying at the Banff International - chalk that up to a live and learn moment to be sure. I do not recommend this place unless you are good being really far away from anywhere in Banff you'd like to be and could use an 80's nostalgia fix. Mehr

The one thing that could be improved with this hotel would be new beds in the room seemed to be a bit sacked out. Overall great stay

The hotel was decent, quiet and clean. Only issue we ran into was that there was no front desk staff after 9 am or in the mornings. This didn't cause a big issue, but would have been nice to see someone in the building. The beds need to be replaced as they are very old and are falling to the middle. i got really sick on the drive down to Banff, when we asked if we could book in early the staff at the front desk were extemely accomodating. Our room wasn't ready so she put us in a larger room that was. Thank you!

Terible service and the non-smoking room was stinky .... not worth the price of admission here, folks

Definetely an affordable place for students, people on a budget etc to stay. Wouldn't reccommend it for anyone else. The bed sheets were plasticy and uncomfortable and we were up at 2:30 due to annoying girls partying. The hot tub area was dingy in the basement, but if people are booking this hotel, I'm guessing that stuff doesn't matter. Its affordable, […] but it definetely made me realize at 21 years old that it is time for my fiancee and I to spend a little bit more for higher quality. Everything you'd need in a hotel room, nothing more and nothing less. Good price. Much better than the $88-$100 range in Banff. The extra $20 is worth it.

The staff was great at Spruce Grove Inn. Very helpful and friendly. It's not the best for handicap people we were traveling with a handicap man and there are a lot of stairs, but overall it's a place we would come back too.

hotel had no power for almost 1/2 my stay, they booked me into the wrong rooms and only after charging me almost double was i given the correct ones.

I like to walk everywhere once I am in a town the size of Banff - this hotel is located quite a distance from the downtown area of Banff however there is a local and frequent bus service with bus stops located close to the hotel the staff were most helpful when we asked where to eat - the restaurant in the adjoining hotel was great

Location and facility did the job Its not the fairmont but clean and comfortable Friendly staff Price was what drove me to choose this place LSL

The Spruce Grove Inn is well situated in Banff and easy to find. It does not provide breakfast or any luxuries for that matter, but it clean and includes easy parking for a single car.

The room was smelly and the floor was not very clean. For the price, it was a huge let down after staying at the Banff Springs Hotel at the beginning of the week.

For one we had to go back to the hotel next door to sign in then go back to find our rooms which where old and musty. In the morning we went to find the location for the complementary breakfast only to be told that it was upstairs in the hotel next door, not a good set up for someone who could not walk well and we couldn't find the elevator in the other […] hotel. The hotel was right in Banff which was convenient. However the room was very small, and some things like the TV remote and the bathroom fan did not work. The staff were friendly and accomodating, but there are no amenities right in the hotel, you must go to the adjoining hotel for everything. Overall it was an ok place to stay if you are only looking […] for somewhere to sleep at night. There is nothing to entertain children or places to get something to eat right in the hotel. Mehr

this place was a dump, to check in you have to go to the bigger dump next door plus leave a $100 deposit , what could you do to make it any worse , then the pool & hot tub are in the dump next door though a dingy tunnel.. We checked out 2 hrs after check in . Will never stay there again

No reception, have to check in next door, no restaurant, no pool.Have to go next door for everything. And the quality of services next door are not that good either. I had the Kind Superior. Paid good bucks for it, but it was very cramped, no view whatsoever. It was like I was in middle of downtown Toronto looking at buildings next door. Very inconvenient. We enjoyed our stay at the Spruce Grove Inn in Banff. The room was spacious with high ceilings. The building and rooms are well kept. We especially appreciated the surprise breakfast vouchers (although some protein would have been appreciated on the buffet) and the heated underground parking. It was very cold in Banff the week we were there, the coldest […] of the season so the warm vehicle was a real treat. The only issue we had was with the internet. It is painfully slow. So if you're going there to be completely disconnected from the world, this is a good spot. If you need some connection, you may want a different location, Mehr

Nice big rooms and welcoming lobby. Complimentary breakfast was small but good. The restaurant atmosphere was pleasant. We left something in our room and, in the same day, called back for it but housecleaning said they didn't find it. That was disappointing as we know it was in the room. Overall positive experience.

This is a very good looking hotel from the outside! Even the rooms weren't too bad (outdated). What really disappointed me was the customer service. I was treated as a second rate guest just because I didn't book through them directly. I asked for a possible room upgrade they told me that because I booked through "hotels.ca" I couldn't upgrade. The […] room we were put in had the door opening right onto the check in entrance; so we had to listen to everyone come and go all night. I then asked for a room with a balcony (like the advertisement showed) and I was told that the room I was put in was the only one available to "hotels.ca" customers. I will never recomend this hotel to anyone. Very rude service! p.s. All the hotel amenities are all located at the "very run down" sister hotel next door, not ideal. Mehr

The Spruce Grove was a big disappointment from the moment of check in. It looks nice from the website and in reality is quite the opposite. There was no one working reception and all amenities like hot tub and breakfast were offered in the older, outdated hotel next door. You have to walk through a parkade level walkway to get from your hotel to the […] next. The Voyager in is a place you would stay if you were cheap and didn't mind dirty and dingy. I was very upset that they never mentioned that the hotels shared all facilities. If I knew that I would have stayed somewhere else. The room was o.k. The breakfast was burnt toast and a weak coffee. After reading some negative things about the hotel we were not expecting anything special. However we enjoyed our stay really well. Staff were all friendly. The hotel was not perfect but clean and welcoming. The breakfast was okay. Over-all the stay was very satisfying. My kids loved it so that's what counts the most.

I wished room had refrigerator. Walk and stairs to continental breakfast which was located in hotel next door was not convenient especially for husband who had trouble with walk and 3 flights of stairs, didnt even go the last two days too hard for him. Room was clean and parking downstairs was convenient.

Since our stay was off season, we had to check in and out at the adjacent hotel. Finding out about this was not until we drove up and read the lobby sign. A tour bus had the same problem and blocked our driving to the adjacent hotel for some time.
