The furniture in the hotel room seemed to be pretty new, but more of Ikea quality. The room lacked a carpet, which was explained by the night-porter that the floors in Paris had so good quality. Nice joke, since the floor was wood imitate for easier cleaning I suppose. There was a functional bathroom and a little TV set. There was a little desk too. […] Basic services like safe in the room and internet cost extra. Overall, it appeared like a separate room in a hostel with cleaning service. Das Hotel macht einen guten Eindruck, alles war sauber und liegt sehr günstig an der Metro Pigalle. als guter Ausgangspunkt für die eroberung der Stadt. Das Frühstück für acht Euro war nur gut, weil es von zwei lieben älteren Damen vorbereitet und zelebriert wurde. Kaffee ist eben anders. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt, auch al Alleinreisende.

Der Check-In war unproblematisch, da wir schon im Voraus bezahlt hatten. Das Hotel befindet sich im Umbau und die Gänge wurden frisch gestrichen. Der Gestank drang bis in unser Zimmer, was unangenehm war. Das Zimmer hatte einen tollen Fernseher, welcher jedoch nur französische Sender ausstrahlte und somit uns deutschsprachigen Personen nicht viel brachte. […] Das W-Lan Netz kostete für 24h 2 Euro und man musste sich jedes mal kompliziert einloggen. (mit IPhone getestet) Leider haben noch viele günstige Hotels Teppich im Zimmer. Jener wurde wohl vor etwa 10 Jahren gewechselt und war schmuddelig. Im Hotel war es ruhig und die U-Bahn Station am Platz Pigalle war nahe. Jedoch lag das Hotel mitten im Rotlichtviertel mit vielen Sexclubs und dem Moulin Rouge in der Nähe. Jedoch hatte es dort nicht unbedingt schrägere Gestalten als anderswo in der Stadt. Mehr

ZIMMER NICHT "FANTASTISCH" !!!

Wir wollten günstig und zentral in Paris wohnen (U-bahn-Station "Place de Pigalle" nur 3-4 Gehminuten entfernt) und das Zimmer mehr oder weniger nur zum Schlafen nutzen. Daher haben wir ein Familienzimmer mit eigenem Badezimmer ohne sonstigen Schnickschnack gebucht. Es war somit recht einfach eingerichtet - war ja auch so gewollt und ausgesucht. Es […] war alles war in Ordnung und sauber. Das Zimmer wurde täglich gemacht und es gab auch jeden Tag neue Handtücher. Das Hotel liegt an guter Lage bei der Metrostation Pigalle. Preis-Leistung stimmt. Kein Erstklass-Hotel, aber das Zimmer war zweckmässig und sauber. Der Preis war auch nicht zu hoch. Nachteil: Es war sehr ringhörig!! Also, dieses Hotel ist geeignet, wen man nur zum Schlafen dort ist. Das Frühstück kann man in der Nähe auch in einem Starbucks-Café e […] innehmen. Mehr

Das Hotel ist super gelegen, es ist ein paar Minuten von der U-Bahn Station Pigalle entfernt. Es ist immernoch in der Renovation. Die neuen Zimmer sind sehr schön. Wir hatten ein Altes, war aber auch alles in Ordnung, es ist ein 2 Sterne Hotel, man kann nicht ein 5 Sterne Zimmer erwarten. War sehr sauber immer neue Badetücher, Bett wurde gemacht. Es […] war ein neuer Fernseher vorhanden, mit zumindest einem deutschen Sender. Das Frühstück war super, ist sehr zu empfehlen. Die Angestellten waren extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. wo es leider 24 h sehr sehr laut ist. Unser Zimmer hatte keinen Ventilator, das macht es bei 35° C nicht einfach zu schlafen.

The rooms were a little small, but we didn't spend much time there anyways. We needed an affordable safe place with a working shower and that's exactly what this was.

You get what you pay for I suppose but this was well below the standard found in other European hotels for a similar price. Other hotels included wifi and breakfast but not this one. Very plain and almost uncomfortable room. Actual street was ok but be aware it is very close to sex industry part of town.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was good value and food was fresh and of good quality - Madame looked after us well! Bed was very small for 2 people to share especially when one is over 6 ft. The bathroom was so small that you had to sit sideways on the toilet! My sisters and I got a great price to stay at this convenient hotel for our Paris city visit in January 2012. There are NOT a lot of amenities, just your baiscs--comfortable beds, very old-fashioned hair dryer and moderately sized room. Breakfast, renting a safe (in your room) and using internet are extra. The best thing about staying in this hotel […] is it's convenience--metro (Pigalle) and bus stops, nearby market street, Sacré Cœur and Galeries Lafayette Department Store within walking distance (10-15 minutes). We were able to easily visit Paris sights and stores using the public transportation system. I recommend this hotel to those who travel on budget or like to stretch their euros. Mehr

Myself and 3 friends stayed for 3 nights .We found the hotel staff very friendly and most helpful. The price was very reasonable ,the 4 of us stayed in 1 room which was very adequit for our needs it was very clean, rooms were cleaned every day. Hotel Turin is an okay hotel compared to the price. staff is friendly and helpfull and breakfast was over expectations to what i would have thought of a cityhotel like this. Good cleaning veryday, fresh towls ets. Matresses are a bit soft but ok. No noise, at least if you get a room away from the street. Turn left when you walk out of hotel maindoor, […] and take a right on the street you meet. It's full of small cheese shops, café's, bistros and interesting boutiques. I was not impressed when I was told on arrival that the room I had booked 2 months prior wasn't available and I was to be walked to a nearby hotel which was also 3stars. I refused to go as I had researched this hotel on many web sites. Finally a room was made available however I was not made to feel welcome and I had to change rooms the following day. […] The first room also had cockroaches in it. Great hotel, very nice reception, when the first day arrived, they give us a map and circle all the interesting places, and the metro stations! We didn't bring the power adapter, they are kindly to give us one to use for our stay! The receptions are very helpful, they helped us to book a shuttle as well! I would def go back there again. The Neighborhood […] is good too, we were very glad we picked the location, it is not very close to the river, but very nice neighborhood, you can enjoy a walk like the locals , not meeting other turist. Stayed for 4 nights in November and again in December. The staff on the reception desk are very helpful and pleasant and booked tours and shuttle buses. The hotel is easy walking distance to the metro Pigalle stop and the Green Hop-On-Hop-Off bus with plenty of restaurants and a bistro and ATM close by.

Clean, friendly and close to the metro at a reasonable prices.

Thre people for three nights in a shared room worked fine. The room was, quiet, clean, and with comfortable beds, and only five minutes from the Pigalle metro. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice and priceworthy place to stay in Paris.

Location is great, its located in the center of All the the atractions but the area is a little bit scarry. Staff is perfect and very polite and helpfull. At Thisted hotel there is an offer on Disneyland.

Worst hotel ever

Hotel was ok for that price range in paris. Room was poor, no view, vary tatty and dated. W/c door didn't shut and the lift shaft was built into the corner of the room. Claimed to have a bar which was one of our criteria but they just sold a very limited selection from behind the reception counter.

My traveling companions stayed in a hostel not too far away, their room was about the same size and layout and was 50 euros less. The only major difference was that my room had a television. Also wasn't allowed to have guests past midnight, the hostel didn't have the same rule. Otherwise everything else was acceptable, room was kept clean but bed was […] not comfortable. Mehr

I did read all the reviews before booking this hotel; both good and bad. If your expectations were high, you probably rated this hotel poorly. If you were realistic about getting what you paid for, you would have rated it well and been pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a great location, close to Pigalle Metro station. The area seems rough at a […] glance but it is very safe. The staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. (It is worth noting that any attempt to speak French in Paris is appreciated. An immediate expectation that a Parisien speaks English will be considered rude and perhaps reciprocated so). The room was a little rough around the edges but great for the price. A touch noisy but this is true for the whole area and not just the hotel. We didn't eat breakfast here but it looked great value for 8 euro. In my opinion, if you visit Paris and spend time in your hotel room other than for sleeping or relaxing after sightseeing etc; you're doing it wrong. This hotel ticks all the boxes because it is cheap, clean, and safe. Paris is a city for getting out and about so don't fret over a hotel room, book it cheap and get out there!! Mehr

Clean, convenient and very helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is ok for the price. However, we had several issues with it. The was no a/c in the rooms. The hotel closes at midnight, and the night vigilant was rude. Watch out for the sorrounding neighborhood if traveling alone o in a small group. Good breakfast for 8 euros, friendly day time staff, and good access to metro station.

There is NOTHING Grand about this dump! No aircon. Walls thin as cardboard. Bathroom - BATHROOM??? Is that a bathroom? The surrounding area is dangerous so you can't even go out at night. Awful, awful, awful!!!

a little bit shabby around the edges, generally ok if you are looking for a bargain and pretty typical for a 3 star hotel for paris, it's in a nice location, the lift can be painful, and one of the staff at reception is lovely, the other well you feel like you are putting them out

We travelled as a family with 2 young teenage boys. The Room was fairly basic and smaller than the ones pictured on their website, but clean and comfortable (although we didn't spend much time there!) The Reception was welcoming and staff friendly and helpful, pointing out transport services, etc. Reception staff spoke good English! Note: the lift […] is very small (2 person max) and a struggle with cases, so we opted for the stairs. There was no tea/coffee facilities in our room, but there are vending machines in reception and (compared to the cafes) breakfast reasonably priced. There are a couple of City-Supermakets nearby and a number of busy cafes/restaurants and gifts shops. The hotel is well located north of City Centre a short walk from Pigalle Metro and bus services to Central Paris (No. 67 - Louvre/Notre Dame // No.30 - Gare du Nord, Arc de Triomphe) and the Montmartrobus for Sacre Coeur, Place du Tertre). As a musician traveling, the Grand Hotel de Turin was in a perfect location and all of the front desk personnel were kind, friendly and extremely helpful! It was my first time in Paris and a great experience.

We were very close to the metro station and many shops and attractions. Moulin Rouge is maybe 5 minute walk away. We felt safe in the neighbourhood, ate at delicious restaurants and bought wonderful breads and cakes in the patisseries nearby. No air conditioning, but that was not a problem on our stay as the weather was comfortable. A bit noisy at night […] due to the busy nightlife in the area but it seemed to be that noisy if not noisier in other neighbourhoods we visited in the evening as well. Mehr

Hotel in Montmatre. Basic clean hotel with pleasant staff. Can't beat the location, we could easily get to all the sights. Very noisy at night time as we were near the party area of Pigalle. Breakfast at 8 euros is good value

Its a small, clean hotel. The staff was very friendly. However you do have to leave your key at the front desk when you leave and pick it up again when you get back. There is no slipping people by the front desk. Guests who are not paying to stay in the hotel have to leave by midnight and the front desk needs to be informed of their presence. This place was pretty awesome all around, in that it was an excellent hotel for the low price we paid. I'll try to break things down into categories: Front Desk Personnel: Very pleasant; upon our check-in, the manager took the time to give us a map and highlight both the metro stations and bus routes that were nearest us AND where they would go. Room […] itself: For the price we paid, the room was fantastic. Actually, I'd have been happy with it if it were 20-30% higher, in fact. My primary concern in any room is cleanliess, and the room was very well-maintained. Yes, the walls are a little thin, so keep that in mind if you're a light sleeper or plan any sort of nocturnal activities that don't involve sleeping , but we were never once bothered by any noises. We had a room on the top floor with a balcony view overlooking the street. The room's size was slightly larger than similarly priced hotels I've stayed in in Paris, and has an armoire to hang clothes, a desk with a chair, two end tables, and a small flat screen television. Yes, the elevator is small by American standards, but welcome to Europe. If you have problems with the stairs in your hotel, you might as well go home, since sights like Notre Dame and the Arc du Triomphe will likely tax your potentially cheeseburger-clogged arteries to the max. You know that part in the movie "In Bruges" where Brendan Gleeson tries to warn the huge family not to go in the cathedral? He's not kidding. Do some cardio before you hit Paris. However, we never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for the one or two people ahead of us to use the elevator. Location: Very centrally located; coming out of the hotel, make a right, then another right, and you're feet away from the Pigalle metro stop. You're also near a McDonald's (which has free Wi-Fi. In Paris, McDonald's is your friend for this reason alone), Starbucks, and a Monoprix where you can buy cheap grocery items like water, sodas, chips, etc to take back to the room. Al Mehr

The hotel is not bad in itself, but the fact they are using this time of the year to do building work and are not advicing about it before you book was not on! The location, Pigalle, is quite quirky, with sex shops rubbing shoulders with nice restaurants and smart cafes, dangerous it may seem to some who are not use to rough bits of urban life. The […] stuff was not very attentive and one of the guys at the reception used the excuse of 'danger of fire' for not having an iron machine available, which I thought it was pure bs for not having one. this hotel is not comfortable, the rooms are really small. the heat is not fine, the room i was in was really cold on the nights! and there is only a blanket to sleep with.
