We stayed here on our way back to Washington. When we first walked in our room it had a weird smell that we couldn't really stand so they switched us rooms and the next room was about the same. They said it was from the new furniture in the room. so we cracked open the window and turned on the A/C on high and left to go get something to eat and check […] out the town. By time we got back the room had aired out enough for us to stay. The hotel was ok, but for the price we paid for a regular king room, we have found better hotels in the area. We were suppose to have a queen bed and it was a double. They said they only have king and queen sheets so it had to be a queen. Well-the sheets were toooo big and it WAS NOT a queen. The heater filter was caked with dirt and hanging from the bottom of the casing. There were dust balls on the ceiling (from the heater I guess) over the bed. My stay in the Bend Super 8 was great. The cleanliness, comfort and amenities exceeded my expectations. Everything was great with one exception. The bathroom fan does not keep the mirror from fogging up while taking a shower, even with the door open. It took about 15 minutes for the mirror to be usable after a shower. I don't think the fan exhausts […] any air. at all, resulting in fogging. Other than that minor detail, I certainly enjoyed my 2 night stay, and would recommend this motel. The room was so-so in terms of cleanliness. The window was actually frozen shut with about a 1/4" of ice on the inside so there wasn't very good ventilation. This was the third time I said in a motel in Bend Oregon. This was much better than the other two motels I stayed in. Wi-Fi worked great, It was clean, service was good, and the breakfast was actually pretty good. "CAUTION!"
The customer service was o.k. and the breakfast was fine, however the motel room # 100 was extremely grungy and run down. There were many stains on the carpet, dirty drapes, extremely filthy grungy feeling blanket, the bed was at least 4" smaller than a "Queen" size bed with fitted sheet drapping over side to prove it. Definately a very run down unclean […] feel everywhere in the room. We have stayed in many super 8 motels and never had one like this, in fact no motel we ever stayed has been this horrible not even "Motel 6" or "Econo Lodge". Frankly we would never stay in one again ever!!!!!!!! We were also told they take dogs with no mention of the extra 10.99 charge. When I arrived at the hotel and went to my room, the beds weren't made and the room was dirty. Went back to the Front office and the girl gave me a second room, that when in there noticed it was in maintenance. She had no other rooms available, so she said she would clean the first room so we could stay there. My family and I waited for about 30mins […] for our room. We were told they would put in a fridge, since my husband is diabetic and needs to keep his insulin cold. There was no fridge brought to the room. My husband is handicapped and needed a ground floor room, but on checking in, the room was on the 3rd floor, however they did have one ground floor room vacant and did let him have that one.
