Despite reporting cold shower four times to staff in twelve hours nothing was done to improve the situation. Microwave in room was also not working.

The service was horrible, We stay for 2 nights and the second night they forgot to clean the room .also when we were taking a shower the water was brown and cold.

Very poor hotel. You get what you pay for if that. I found a loaded syringe in my shower yuck told front desk clerk and he asked when I was leaving so he could have house keeping get it Also upon check in the hot water heater was broke and after working 13 hours that day I still had to wait until 8:00 before I could take a shower. I don't know why the name since the motel is completely non-descript, however, it was comfortable, clean, and convenient. There were several good restaurants nearby, but best of all, for only an additional $2/guest you were able to have a very nice breakfast at the Denny's across the street. I would stay there again. I travel for work--and this was one of the easiest and most pleasant stays I've had in years. Free wifi, a terrific breakfast, a balcony, comfortable bed, cable, a fridge and microwave, a huge room. It was great. I'll stay again!

We were looking for an economical place to stay for 1 night and close access to the freeway AND we found both! Room was clean. What more can you ask for! Maulena from San Clemente

Nice atmosphere with roses all around. The rooms are very nice and spacious with a great view and a balcony to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. I would definitely come again.

me end my wife needed a place to stay over night between LA and Hearst castel on road1 (hour drive from Hearst castel). so it was only for 12 hours, the room is OK , the wIfI works fine, the breakfest is only mufin,coffe and juce.

Room smelled really bad. Dirty sox and under wear under one of the beds. You could actually feel the box springs to mattresses, very uncomfortable. Maintenaince needs to be up graded. Restrooms need fixing and painting, especially the shower walls. Very poor maintenance and housekeeping. I rented two rooms that weekend and was very disappointed.

We made a trip from southern california to monterey. The motel was close to the freeway for an easy off on back on. with food establishments close at hand

The bed was really confortable. and was an ok place to sleep.

The hotel was clean, easy access to freeway. Small breakfast good.

If you are desperate for a room, this is the place for you. The rooms have not been updated in 30 years, the microwave and refrigerator did not work. The faucet either did not work or sprayed you. This place needs to be re-modeled immediately. Unfortunately, there are too few places to stay during the summer season and they get a line out the door for […] rooms on a Saturday night. Too bad... It looks like the owners are upgrading the property and have done a good job so far. Of course, there is more to be done. We would stay there again, too.

The exterior of this property is decent. Rose bushes nice and trimmed and pool very clean. However, we were given a room that was terrible! I asked for another room and they gave me a room up stairs that was in better condition but the bathroom was extremely in need of repair. Wall papper was comming off the walls and there was ono place to put your […] soap or shampoo. The window screen in bathroom was missing. The water pressure was great. But the appearance gave it a dirty look although it was clean. The ice maker was located out side and did not have a dispencer. You had to scoop it out with a metal scooper that hanged on the wall outside. No coffee maker in the room but the office offered to make us coffee in the office. No hair dryer, or iron in the room. We had to ask for an iron and board. (was very cheap but did the job) The towells were stained. Vanity mirror was stained. This room need more light with out you having to open windows. On a lighter note the beds were clean and comfortable and the complementary breakfast consisted of Muffins, coffee, orange juice and Waffles that you made yourself with Log Cabin Suryp. The fresh made waffles were great!!!! The office staff and the maid service was great. The Staff and Waffles are the best thing going for this place. We won't return unless they have finished rennovating. Mehr

Good location & access to freeway and Starbucks. Second floor occupants made noise all night - floor system has not insulation - shower facilites are like those at the beach - room was marginal but cant beat the price - place looks good from the outside - dont look too close at the interior - IF we stay again we would demand a second floor room

You need to take care of the mold in your bathrooms, etc. It would be more presentable if someone went through and updated and few things to look clean. It is not attractive to see mold and items that need to be repaired. If that was taken care of then the price would be right. Thank you.

Horrible hotel it smells bathrooms need lot of work and have mildue.

The pillows were comfy and the room was clean. I could hear traffic all night from Main St. and the shower was not great. If the location were closer to Orcutt I would have been more satisfied with the price.

The room was fine for our 1 night stay. They had a descent breakfast in teh morning. Tne only thing is the shower stall is pretty small and teh shower head is a bit low. Other than that I would stay at this hotel every time The guy at the front desk was very nice.

Nicer than I would have expected for a 2 star hotel. Very clean, clearly trying to improve the look of the hotel, with a nice looking pool (didn't use it). Older rooms, but our 2-queen room was large. The only disappointment was the breakfast, which was only the plastic-wrapped pastries, juice, tea, coffee, and a waffle maker. Overall the facilities are old but outstanding The only exception to this was the shower which was embarrassing to get into. It must have been installed in the early 60's and caulked to stop the leaks ever since. Breakfast was lowest quality, all starch.

Rooms need to be updated Chairs look to dirty to sit on Rooms smell mildew Make sure all appliances are hooked and working

This motel is one of the cleanest, most well managed motels that I have ever been in. Should the need arise I will most certainly stay in that motel again. The motel staff went out of their way to see to our every needs. The motel, itself, is well maintained for its age and lacks nothing for the traveler. I have stayed at many motels and only one other […] even comes close for comfort and location to freeways, restraunts, stores, gas stations, etc. I am totally impressed. I cannot say enouth. Mehr

The hotel was adorable and quaint! They have a pool, and a tennis court! Had I known I would have brought a tennis racket. I would stay here again.

The Inn is easily accessible to Highway 101 North and South; the grounds are lovely with lots of rose bushes, it's within easy walking distance to restaurants; all in all, a good deal for the traveler.

The room was clean and neat, very near the freeway access and would do for the weary traveller looking for a reasonably comfortable place to sleep. The continental breakfast was good quality food and meets the need for that bite before hitting the road again.

This hotel is old and very dirty, not maintained and bathrooms are disgusting. Do NOT stay here.

This Inn is very old and run down. The bathroom of our room was not clean at all. My 7 yr old refused to take a shower there. The fridge got cold when we first plugged it in but that was at the highest level and then it turned off in the middle of the night (still plugged in) and a lot of our food went bad. Most of the rooms circle the pool and the […] lower levels have back sliding doors to get to the pool. There were really loud groups of old people hanging out at the tables around the pool late at night. Many were drinking and yelling profanity. We had the sliding door open because the room smelt so bad, but we had to close it after dark because my son couldn't sleep with the drunk biker gang by the pool. We kept our socks on because the floors were gross. We ended up getting up at 7 am and checked out. Won't stay here again. Mehr

This place was better than expected. The room was great and clean. The pool area was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is a gem in Santa Maria. The front desk staff was also fantastic! Friendly and helpful.

We were well situated for the events of the wedding we attended. The time we spent at the motel was very limited but comfortable. The restaurants next door (Denny's & Jack in the box) were very convenient and the freeway was close also.

Very comfortable for an overnight stay while traveling. The Motel staff was very accomadating.

For a 2 star it met my expectations

This hotel is in poor conditions. the room we stayed in had not been well cleaned and there were stains on both chairs. We left after one day and went to a much better hotel.
