Lage ist perfekt mit den Pacific nur Schritte weg, es gibt eine Küche in jede Zimmer und vielen Restaurants und Bars auf Garnet Avenue, echt Perfekt! Die Welle sind auch sehr schön im Tourmaline, ca. 5 Minuten von den Hotel.

Für uns war dieses Hotel der ideale Ausgangspunkt für unsere geplante Rundreise. In Flughafennähe, aber nicht zu dicht dran. Restaurants zum Essen in der Nähe. Trotzdem das Hotel an einer Hauptstraße liegt, haben wir 2 ruhige Nächte verbracht. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Bei warmem Wetter sind die Strände von Mission Beach und Pacific Beach, zwei der beliebtesten Strände in San Diego, sehr gut besucht. An diesen entspannten Orten finden gelegentlich Bauernmärkte und Kunstfestivals statt. Der Mission Boulevard verbindet beide Strände und führt im Norden nach La Jolla.

"Das Bahia Resort liegt direkt an der Mission Bay"
Wir waren um kurz nach 15 Uhr im Hotel zum Einchecken, aber das Zimmer war noch nicht fertig. Offizieller Check-In Spaziergang über das schöne Gelände. Als wir um kurz nach 16 Uhr zurückkamen, war es dem Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption peinlich, dass das Zimmer leider immer noch nicht fertig ist. Er präsentierte uns dann zwei Gutscheine über je 25 Dollars, […] die wir in der Bar und dem Restaurant ausgeben konnten. Er entschuldigte sich für die Unannehmlichkeiten und de Gutscheine sollten die Wartezeit verkürzen. Wir setzten uns also in die Bar, tranken etwas und der Mitarbeiter der Rezeption kam dann uns mitzuteilen, dass das Zimmer fertig ist. Wir waren angenehm überrascht über die Handhabung wegen dem Zimmer, dies ist uns bislang noch in keinem amerikanischen Hotel passiert. Das Zimmer war in Ordnung, jedoch merkte man die Einfachverglasung. Das Zimmer sollte Bayview haben, lag aber zu der Straße hinaus, die am Strand entlang führt und dort fahren diverse Autos bis abends spät. Die Lüftung im Bad funktionierte nicht, dies ist in amerikanischen Hotels ja meistens Standard, dass eine solche vorhanden ist, da die Badezimmer in der Regel ohne Fenster sind, wie auch in diesem Hotel. Als wir dies an der Rezeption reklamierten, meinte der Mitarbeiter, dass die Lüftung in keinem der Badezimmer an wäre. Das war dann doch sehr überraschend. Das Hotel selbst würden wir wieder wählen, dass es nicht weit entfernt ist von Geschäften und mit dem Auto von dort auch gut erreichbar. Ein öffentlicher Bus hält aber auch in der Nähe. Wir würden aber ein anderes, ruhigeres Zimmer wählen. Mehr
"Das Hotel liegt ruhig an der Mission Bay"
Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und der Blick auf die Bay sehr schön. Nachts kann man ruhig bei geöffnetem Fenster zum Balkon schlafen und morgens vom Bett aus den wunderschönen Sonnenaufgang genießen. Die Hotelanlage ist sehr schön. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist etwas dürftig und mit 15 Dollar zu teuer.
"Mission Bay"
Das Hotel liegt toll an der Mission Bay und hat einen Privatstrand. Die Zimmer sind sauber, aber schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Tolle Anlage und in der Nähe sind einige Restaurants. Parken war kostenlos.
"Erholen inklusive"
Das Hotel liegt sehr schoen in einer Bucht am Wasser und ist sehr gepflegt, aber schon etwas älter. Es gibt einen sehr schoenen Pool, Whirlpool und Fittnessraum. Das Frühststück fuer 12 Dollar war sehr reichlich und gut! Zu Fuß kann man an zu einem wunderschonen Strand laufen. Zum erholen absolut zu empfehlen.
"Toplage am Meer"
Wir wollten nach dem Besuch der Nationalparks ein paar Tage am Meer geniessen und ausspannen. Dafür ist das Bahia optimal geeignet. Der ruhiger Privatstrand hatte viel Platz und bequeme grosse Liegestühle mit Winschutz. Die Kinder hatten Spass an den MitKanus und wir genossen das Segeln.

"Bahia Resort Hotel"
Als Erstes: unbedingt im Voraus übers Internet buchen. Wir haben ohne Buchung an der Reception angefragt und hätten mehr als das Doppelte bezahlt, als wir dann tatsächlich über die Internetbuchung bezahlt haben. Die Zimmer sind nicht mehr ganz auf dem neusten Stand doch sauber und gepflegt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer direkt am Strand was natürlich herrlich […] war. Unbedingt versuchen ein solches zu ergattern. Die Lager ist toll - 5 Min. zum Seaworld und auch in die Downtown sind es nur ca. 15 Min. mit dem Auto. Wir würden das Bahia wieder buchen. Mehr

My husband I thought for the price it was nice. We were upgraded when we arrived. The free boat rides, the rescued seals and food at the bar were a nice plus we weren't expecting. We would stay there again in a heart beat!
"Great View, comfy bed & helpful staff"
We had a marina view and our balcony was large with two comfy lounge chairs! The free internet made it extra nice to sit outside with the great view and read emails! Bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom vanity was too small ( no place to keep your toiletries) but very clean. The front desk was very helpful and gave us an extra parking pass for […] one night as we had an extra car. The bartender in the lounge was very nice and informative about local places to go, she also went the extra mile and made me a dessert I could take back to my room! Mehr

"Bahia Resort- Great location, standard hotel"
You get what you pay for here. The rooms are pretty standard. The location is GREAT. This was our 3rd time staying in San Diego and Bahia resort was our favorite over a hotel on the shore of mission bay and a hotel in Gaslamp. The parking was free, however, there is no continental breakfast. The fitness center was below average. The pool and jacuzzi […] were very well kept. The front desk was kinda slow and our room wasn't ready at check-in. 2 days in a row our conditioner/shampoo/ tissues were not replenished but those were just minor minor issues. Overall, I would stay here again for a place to rest my head at the end of a full day exploring San Diego. You really can't beat the price and location. Mehr

Everything was very nice. They upgrated our room to a larger suite with a kitchen at no additional charge. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was just a short (enjoyable) walk down to Mission Beach. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to others!
"Great Bar"
The Tangiers Bar was a great feature as were the walks along the Bay.The nearest beach area is not great and the food in closest restaurants is terrible unless you like tacos.The limo driver to the airport was a great source of local knowledge.For a long stay-over a week-I recommend a few days here and a few days in a downtown hotel.

Great location. Very spacious rooms. We rented a one bedroom with living and small kitchen. Everything was walking distance. Beach on bay just behind our room. Gorgeous view of boats and bay. Rentals of every kind were on site or short walking distance to mission beach. Restaurant on site and room service. Very family oriented. We had a great time and […] would stay again! Seaworld was minutes away! Loved it! We own a time share and this was comparable to a one bedroom with pull out and roll away beds available. Great value. We booked on line and got a great bargain! "Bahia Resort - Seaworld"
I got the Bay View Studio with Kitchen, but very disappointed. first of all it smell like cigarette, just like my grampa's truck. 45 minutes into our stay my wife wanted to take a hot shower but with no hot water available. We called front desk and received a maintenance worker 30 minutes later, he couldn't fix the issue because he needed the plummer […] to adjust the boiler temp setting. He said the plummer sets the temp setting for the whole building but wouldn't be available till next day. Well my satisfaction came when I was comp for the inconvenience, the front desk was very prompt and offer me to look at three available rooms and gave me the privileged to choose whichever one. Ended up getting the garden suite, pretty much newer then the others very nice didn't smell at all. would stay here again but wouldn't recommend the bay view studio w/ kitchen. Mehr

"Great for a family vacation"
We had a bay view suite with great views. The room was clean, it was convenient to have a fridge in the room and a little bit of extra space. I wouldn't necessarily stay here for a romantic getaway but for a trip to Sea World and the Zoo it was great. There is also a little swing set on the beach out in front and a great park across the street!

i booked this room expecting a decently modern room as shown by the pictures on their profile and reservation page. The room we received was nothing like the pictures. For one it was very old decor and the view of of the water (which we paid extra for) was mostly blocked by 2 big palm trees. The room looked like a room from the early 90's. The bay view from our balcony was like a picture post card. The housekeeping service for our room was great. The staff were courteous and professional. The grounds were well-maintained and secure.
"Nice, comfortable spacious but average"
Stayed at Bahia hotel resort in December so could not really use any of the seaside facilities. It is a large, comfortable, clean and tidy hotel but with no specific character or standing out service, decor, etc. Nonetheless the staff were very friendly. A good safe cheap accomodation if you want a nice room and all mods cons but nothing to rave about […] or plan a holiday for! Mehr
"Construction."
There was an abundance of construction going on that detracted from our stay. However, the view was gorgeous and the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable :)
Very noisy during the day as the rooms next to ours were being renovated. We weren't aware of this fact until we were already booked in. Our room and bathroom had been nicely updated but the beds were old and uncomfortable. The shower sprung a leak the first time we turned it on. There was also no hair dryer in the room. "Beautiful"
I stayed in this hotel the night before and the night of my wedding. The suite was great and made for wonderful photos. Loved the open parking and convenience.

Our room was dark, mildewed and small. There is a major remodeling/refurbishing going on and we arrived too late to request a change. When queried how can you rent such a room to people, the staff cited their repeat business and successful banquet operations. Beautiful hotel, convienient location right by Mission Beach. A little messy due to construction, but never affected our visit. Definitely would recommend to others.
"A Horrible Experience"
The hotel was in a great location, but if you want to sleep this is not the place to stay. They hosted a loud college party on our last night at the hotel. It was so loud and they said there was nothing they could do about it. We basically paid for a night that we were not able to sleep at all. The staff was rude and not helpful at all. The Bahia Resort Hotel on Mission Bay was wonderful. The room had recently been renovated and by the looks of the parking lot they are updating the waterfront rooms. The beds were clean and comfortable and the staff were very nice. I will definitely stay here again.

"Very nice place"
Rooms were clean, service was good. Restaurant was "O.K." but the bed comfort was not so good. We woke up with aches and pains every morning. Location is fantastic! We spent a lot of time at the beach, shot up 5 to Legoland, shot DOWN 5 to the harbor for a cruise.
This is a hotel that makes you want to spend more time at your hotel rather than sightseeing!

The Bahia is located on Mission Bay, just 2 blocks from the heart of Mission Beach. It's close to Seaworld , to tourist destinations downtown, and to Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo and Coronado, among others. It's actually possible to stay here without a car since bus service to all points of interest is available just across the street from the Bahia. […] The resort is large and continually updated. "not so much paradise"
It has a beautiful setting and they let you check in early if the room is ready. The front desk clerks are cold and a bit rude. When we got off the elevator to go to our room we were hit by an overwhelming stench or mold and mildew mix. The ceiling in the hall looked like someone splattered blood on a few tiles, the light covers were stained an dirty, […] some displaced. Once we got in the room though, we were instantly met with a gorgeous & clean room. The bed was incredibly comfortable and so was the couch. The shower head was very low though. I am 5'4" and I just made it under the head. Mehr
