We had very, very good time in the hotel. Very nice, helpful and friendly staff. When we first checked in I didn't like where our room was overlooking and they change it for very nice room overlooking the main street. We were supposed to stay only 3 days, but our flight was cancelled because of the hurricane Irene and they were very helpful. The hotel […] gave us very good prices for the days we had to remain. At the end we stayed 10days in total and we enjoyed it very much. The hotel has free wine reception in the afternoon which is very pleasant if you're around at this time. If I go back to Boston, I would for sure choose again this hotel. Mehr

Everything was perfect. Excellent service and location. The staff were great. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed with 2 kids (4 people). The hotel seems to cater more to the business than the leisure crowd but everything about our 3 day stay was great. Very friendly staff. Free wine for guests in the evening. Great and well appointed rooms. Fantastic location in the middle of everything without being too touristy. We were even able to park a bunch of rented […] bikes downstairs overnight--which turned out to be very convenient for us. Highly recommended. Mehr

Nice hotel but expensive and has a charge for everything attitude from last century. Even the motel 6 has free coffee and does not charge $5/cup. Lots of little charges

Hgtel was great. From the moment we checked in until we left the staff was the warmest and most sincere that we have encountered in hotel staffs in ourt travels. They really made our stay there special. Even though our room was small, we had a great view and the location cannot be beat...across from the Boston Commons and a subway stop, easy walking […] to Back Bay, downtown and all the tourists sights. Excellent hotel, excellent location but above all excellent customer service

The hotel is 1 minute from Boston Common, a central and very nice park in Boston - and maybe the best cappuccino in Boston at the Thinking Cup. This a good location for a vacation, and it is right by a metro station. The room was large and comfortable with an ipod dock which is a nice touch.

My family and I really enjoyed the two nights we spent there. The check-in went smoothly. It was obvious they wanted us to be happy. We would definitely stay there again.

We had the fortune of being upgraded to a corner room on the 5th floor that had the Stanley Cup parade going right past. That was just the cherry on top for this amazing hotel. Our friends didn't get upgraded, but we saw their room and it was just as nice (just didn't have the view of the parade). The location is perfect. Walking distance to all the […] worthwhile Boston sights and scenes. The furthest walk we had was about 15 mins to prudential center. The hotel is clean and modern. The staff remember you and welcome you back as you walk through the doors. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. I couldn't imagine a better hotel to stay at while visiting Boston. Price was actually surprisingly low compared to some of the other fancy hotels in Boston. Mehr

The Nine Zero is perfectly located near the Bocton Commons and surrounding historic sites. There is also a T (subway) line about a block away that makes getting to locations farther afield a snap. The hotel was relatively quiet for one in the heart of a big citty- we could hear the church bells of the nearby church and occasional (less pleasant) sirens […] that were muffled (we were on the 5th floor). The staff was very helpful and we particularly appreciated the little touches, like bottles of water and the NYT in the lobby. The evening wine receptions were fun too! Mehr

My husband and I search out Kimpton hotels wherever we go. We know we can be assured of a good setting, an extremely helpful staff, and great rooms. Hotel Nine Zero in Boston was no exception. This was our 4th stay here while my daughter attended Emerson College & we went this time for graduation. This is one of the few hotels in Boston that truly welcomes pets!! There is no surcharge nor are there limitations on the pet's size (or number). At the garage entrance, even water & biscuits are provided! You can request pet bowls & beds, but they've […] discontinued the pet food room service menu. Only a block & a bit away from the entrance to the Common, so easy dog walking. Food prices are steep, but cheaper coffee/eats available within a block. Free wine for an hour @ afternoon. Fabulous location - can walk towards everything; i.e. central downtown (towards the Pru center) or in the other direction to Quincy market/waterfront area. Usually charge for parking, but sometimes there are promos to park nc. We had a problem w/the A/C when we checked in & the engineer arrived literally 90 seconds after my call to the desk. One particular front desk clerk was not as efficient as usual on check out (requests for car/bellman not forwarded), but we were given a bottle of wine for our trouble. Mehr

Stayed there for a week with my wife and youngster. The staff was very good to us -- accomodated a number of requests. The location is excellent -- right across from the Common, easy walk to Newbury Street, Charles Street, Faneuil Hall and most of the rest of downtown Boston. The T is handy too. I came right out of MGH and was able to use a wheelchair for a walk in the Public Gardens. Our room had a great viewof Gardens: 19th Floor. Bed was so comfy. It was King size and my daughter and I had room for at least two more people! Concierge very helpful.

as always the staff at this hotel is excellent. However the rooms furniture is starting to look a little worn and dirty. The desk and side tables, black paint chipped and the stainless around desk dirty. Maybe because its college graduation, very busy and felt like there were five people pouring out of each room near me...Again I am usually at this […] hotel for business and like its normal professional atmosphere. Right on Freedom Trail, close to Park T station, near Boston Common, theater district, Quincy Market. Same block as Parker House hotel. Late Happy Hour (9-11pm) in restaurant bar. "Fitness Center" is a tiny room crammed with 2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals and 1 reclining cycle. "Business Center" is 2 computers and 1 printer in a hallway, although you can […] print boarding passes free. Concierge super-busy but helpful. Steep charge for wifi unless you are a Kimpton member. Neighborhood can get sketchy after dark, but not too scary. Would stay again with discounted rate. Mehr

We stayed recently in this hotel and found it to be very pleasant and charming. The hotel staff was fabulous, from Gabriella at the front desk with her courteous ways and dazzling smile to Thomas, the concierge, who was knowledgable and able to provide for whatever we wanted. We had some issues at first with the hotel canceling our reservation due to overbooking - I booked a two queen room and was downgraded to a one queen with a pull out couch - which was horrible to sleep on - and there was no rate adjustment. They threw in a continental breakfast and although the room was supposed to have a wine reception- there was none […] that I saw. If I wasn't so tired and if it wasn't Marathon weekend - I would have had options and would have complained - Overall the service was very good - the room was nice - they gave us an upgrade but I still did not get two queens and had to sleep on a rollaway. It would have been a great stay had all the details been attended to and had I had the rate adjustment and had they gotten the room right. Mehr

I couldn't have found a better hotel for the Boston Marathon. I highly recommend it.

This hotel was excellent. In particular, the staff were friendly and accomodating. Front desk staff and bellman were super, always seemed interested in our activities, were happy to provide directions etc. At the same time, this was not overdone. The perfect balance!

After spending two nights in a very disappointing, highly-rated nearby hotel, me and my fiance decided to try out the Nine Zero. We could not be happier that we made the switch. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful and upgraded our room. The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. I often go to Boston and have been to many of their "finer" […] hotels. From now on will stay in the Nine Zero exclusively. Mehr

Just spent 5 nights at this upscale, hip hotel where they think of everything to make your stay more comfortable; even offering free yoga mats so you can work out in your room and there is space enough in your room! The entire staff is young and super courteous (I'm 69 but I appreciated their caring attitude from the moment you enter until the moment […] you leave.) The location is perfect; close to boston Commons and the Red Line which takes you everywhere. Boston is also a wonderful "walking" city. I plan to return there on my next visit. Mehr

After a horrible day of travel, my sister and I finally arrived at the Nine Zero Hotel exhausted and tried to rally to go out on the town. We were greeted by the friendliest bellman, who asked if we'd like a glass of wine while checking in. Absolutely! The lady at the front desk was extremely friendly and gave us several tips for going out in the area. […] We walked into a gorgeous room with really cool decor, not your standard hotel decor. Very clean and trendy, and it was a lovely surprise that a bottle of wine was on ice accompanied by a cheese plate waiting for us! What a way to be welcomed into the city! We ordered a pot of coffee the following morning from room service and it arrived within 5 minutes. Again, not typical for most other hotels. Towards the end of our trip I became ill, the room service lady was SO sweet and brought back gingerale and crackers, even coming back to check on me a while later. This was probably the best hotel experience of my life, and I've stayed at some pretty fancy places. The rate was great for what you got and the staff was extremely friendly. I will absolutely recommend this place (in a GREAT location) to everyone. Mehr

An excellent hotel at a price you would not expect for the quality of room and service. We were upgraded to a kingsize room, the beds are really comfortable. The adjoining restaurant serves delicious gourmet food. Overall: a luxury stay at a budget price.

From the accomodations, to the wine reception, to the three different flavored waters in the lobby, this place was awesome. PERFECT place to stay if you are going to a show at the Orpheum. Located practically next door to the theater, it's also right near a multitude of bars and restaurants. Only downside was the extremely high charge for parking. It […] was almost a QUARTER of what the actual room cost. Do yourself a favor like I did, and leave your car at the T and take the Red Line straight into Park St Station located across the street from the hotel. Fare will cost you just $1.70, and you can take the savings and spend it on food and drink. Mehr

We had to bring our dog along for a nights stay in Boston to see a show. The hotel was very dog friendly and had extras for any of your dog needs. We where seeing a show at the Orpheum which is just 2 blocks away from the hotel. Great restaurant and bar on second floor of hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms. Rooms service very good as well. This hotel met and exceded expectations. Located just blocks from the famous Boston Commons, Nine Zero was clean, with beautifully appointed furnishings and helpful staff members. This was the first time to stay in a Kimpton Hotel, and i would definitely repeat the expensive. The happy hour from 5-7 provides a great opportunity to see and be seen. The hotel is located in a great area of Boston, walking distance to metro station (T), and stores and restaurants. They had wine tasting room from 5-6 every day during our stay, which was free and very well organized. The service was decent and our rooms were cleaned at least twice a day. We didnt have great views from our room, but it didnt matter […] as we didnt stay there for the view but rather for the closeness of the city center. The hotel was clean, but it lacked the charmed it possed online. Regardless, it lived up to its reviews. Mehr

I liked the service and the decor, however for anyone who is claustrophobic like myself, the hotel is rather small, especially the lobby.

Nine Zero made our girls' weekend of "Six in the City" just fabulous! Andrew greeted us at the front desk with a waiting bottle of champagne and early check-in so we could get settled in before heading to our matinee of "Jersey Boys." We especially loved the boutique feel and size of Nine Zero. The room was beautiful, and the bathroom roomy enough to […] accommodate all of the girls. And Lindsay was just awesome assisting us with getting us to Hamersley's for dinner, and a perfect spot for Sunday brunch. Can't wait to go back for another perfect weekend and looking forward to the Kimpton experience on my business trips. Mehr

This hotel is very modern and nicely decorated. The staff was both friendly and helpful. The room was much larger than expected. It was clean, comfortable and modern. The bathroom was large and also clean and modern. The location is great - right in Downtown Crossing and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants.
