Nur ca. 80 m von der Metrostation Deak Ference entfernt. Großteil der Sehenswürdigkeiten von dort aus zu Fuß erreichbar. Ansonsten optimale Anbindung an Metro, Straßenbahn und Bus. Das Hotel selber kann ich jederzeit weiter empfehlen. Preis- und Leistungsverhältnis passen.

Das Hotel befindet sich in der Nähe der EXPO. Da wir ein Auto dabei hatten, war mfür mich der kostenlose Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel super. In anderen Hotels in BUD musste ich immer bis zu 16 EUR zahlen. Dafür ist man hier etwas abseits, jedoch in ca. 10 minuten mitten in BUD. Das Frühstücksbuffet entsprach den Erwartungen. Auswahl an Eierspeisen und Wurst war besser als im Mercure. Und das beste, hier noch alles inkl. Auf dem Dach gibt es auch noch einen WellnessBereich. Hier der Abstrich, die Sauna wurde leider erst am abend angeschaltet und der Jacuzi war leider abends um 7 immer noch auf 29 Grad. DIeser wurde zwar an diesem Tag gereinigt, doch dies hätte man auch am Vormittag machen können, so dass am Abend dieser auch zu benutzen ist! Ansonsten, tolles Hotel. Ich werde beim nächsten mal dieses wieder buchen. TIP: LH hat mir dieses Hotel schon mal angeboten, als mein Flug leider nicht zurück nach FRA starten konnte

Das Hotel hat eine Top-Lage in der Innenstadt. Das Haus ist sehr schön restauriert. Der Restaurant- Bereich ist besonders schön im alten Stil hergerichtet. Am Frühstücksbuffett ist für jeden etwas zu finden und bis zum Schluss wird alles aufgefüllt. Die Zimmer sind gut. Allerdings war der W-Lan Empfang im Anbau schlecht. Ein Netzwerkkabel gehörte auch zur Ausstattung. Der Wellness- Bereich ist sauber und gut. Alles in allem ein Super- Hotel, um die Stadt zu erkunden.

Großes, schön eingerichtetes Hotel, zwar etwas Abseits gelegen und die Umgebung ist eine einfache Wohngegend. Dennoch reizvoll direkt gegenüber der Margareteninsel und man ist schnell bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Bezahlbare Parkplätze vor dem Hotel sind ein großer Pluspunkt in Budapest.

Dieses Hotel ist auf Familien mit Kindern bestens eingestellt. Mercure Budapest City Centre liegt mitten in Budapest. Folgende Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar: Váci utca, Vigado und Szabadság híd. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Rudas fürdő und Szent-Istvan Bazilika.

"Das Hotel liegt zentral und dennoch ruhig"
Zimmer zum Hof sind in der warmen Jahreszeit empfehlenswerter, da die Straße (Fußgängerzone) vor dem Haus bis in die Nacht belebt ist. Allerdings sind Geräusche von Lüftungsanlagen bei geöffnetem Fenster deutlich hörbar. Größter Pluspunkt ist die anscheinend gute Schallisolierung innerhalb des Hotels. Das Duschbad zu den Doppelzimmern (wir waren auf […] der Raucheretage) ist sehr klein, man sollte ein Bad mit Wanne wählen. Die Handtücher waren verschlissen. Die Matrazen sind hart und qualitativ nicht sehr hochwertig. Für empfindliche Menschen könnte das ein Problem werden. Fazit: Das Hotel hat keine 4 Sterne verdient, ist aber für einen kürzeren Aufenthalt empfehlenswert. Mehr

"Gerne wieder"
Service des Hotels excellent, super Lage in Budapest, Zimmer sauber + gut ausgestattet, aber etwas dunkel
Zu wenig Plätze im Frühstücksraum, zu wenig Kaffeetassen und Geschirr -> Wartezeite!
"Information nicht zufriedenstellend"
Das Hotel war soweit ok, sehr kleinlich war, daß man eine Versicherung per Kreditkarte abschließen mußte, falls der Besucher NACH Bezahlung des Zimmers, das Zimmer beschädigt!!! Der Preis ist im Rahmen, jedenfalls aber im oberen Segment, was sehr störte, war, daß ich nicht informiert wurde, daß der Parkplatz extra kostet, in der Internetbuchung wurde […] nicht hingewiesen, daß das Frühstück im Zimmerpreis nicht enthalten ist, das wurde lakonisch damit begründet, daß das Wort Frühstück nirgends steht und daher klar sein muß, daß das Frühstück extra zu bezahlen ist, wie gesagt, es geht nicht um den Preis, es geht um die Tatsache der nicht vorhandenen Info! Sehr unbefriedigend und bei einem Hotel dieser Preisklasse unwürdig. Mehr

"Perfekt für Städtereise"
Das Perfekte Hotel für einen Stadturlaub. Die Lage ist wirklich mitten in der Fußgängerzone, Tiefgarage auf der Rückseite.
Vier Stern hat es nie erreicht , zumal nicht in Europa Kaltschaumkissen, Schimmlige Nasszelle , eher ein Herberge à la Kommunismus

"Perfekte Lage für einen City-Trip"
Das Hotel ist perfekt in der Fussgängerzone gelegen, man erreicht alle Sehenswürdigkeiten auch ohne öffentliche Verkehrsmittel. Unser Zimmer war im 7. Stock und somit völlig ruhig. Ausstattung des Zimmers war entsprechend der Kategorie in Ordnung, es war auch alles sauber. Sehr gut war das Frühstücksbuffett im eigenen Frühstückssaal mit Aussicht auf […] die Váci utca. "Großartige Lage um Budapest zu erkunden"
Beruhigend die Tiefgarage, zuvorkommend und in mehreren Sprache gut unterwegs die Rezeption, die Zimmer ordentlich sauber, wenn auch vielleicht ein wenig klein, mehrere Lifts sorgen für ein raschens Rauf und Runter, auch wenn mehrere Reisegruppe gerade ankommen oder auschecken., in Summe eine gute Empfehlung für alle, die gerne in der Innenstadt fl […] anieren. "Great location for Budapest tourist"
This hotel has a lot of perks - it is in a fantastic location, the staff is friendly and speaks Engllish, the lobby and reception are all really nice, they have no problems giving you free internet. We even had a 6mo baby along with us, and they were super efficient about bringing up a crib right away, and putting us in a room at the end of the hall, […] on a corner, so that we would not disturb the other guests. Wonderful! My only negative comment would be that our room did not match the luxurious downstairs in terms of quality. It was clean, comfortable - functional. A 3 star room in a 4 star hotel, with a 5 star location. It could be they have more recently remodeled rooms, but in order to put us in a quiet location for the baby, we had an older room. In any case - if I make it back to Budapest, I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. We easily walked everywhere, including to the subway and the river, and at no time of day/night did it ever feel unsafe. Fantastic. Mehr

We wree in room 302 and overall, the hotel was very comfortable - great price and friendly service. The room service was prompt and the room was pretty large. There was a large bleach type stain on the carpet and there were stains on the bed wood that were not cleaned throughout the stay (we were not willing to remove it). The towels were very rough […] and had obviously been used and washed many times. Overall great location but don't eat on Vaci Utca - way too expensive and food disappointing - go further out 10 minutes and you will find some great reasonable priced restaurants. Mehr

"Mercure- Fantastic Location!"
Stayed here for 1 night on 25th March with partner. Lovely clean hotel which was a great price. Major bonus is the location in Vaci Ulta and just beside the river- everything within walking distance and also close to the Metro. Another bonus is the free WiFi- alwways welcome!
"Mercure in Budapest"
Mecure is located in the heart of "old town". Plenty of food options and easy access to public transit. My only negative comment was the room was warmer than I would have liked and there the AC was not available. Great place to stay for the price.

Staff, service, rooms, breakfast - all superbly excellent! I highly recommend the included breakfast, the nicest I've had at any hotel in this range and well worth the price. If I had to enter any complaint at all, it is the very tiny little sign indicating how to get into the parking garage, which is VERY easily missable and almost impossible for […] GPS to locate due to being in a tunnel just a few meters before the driveway, however, that's MY unfamiliarity with Budapest, and not the hotel's fault per se (though a larger sign would have been nice!) :) I can't emphasize enough how great the service was there, everyone very friendly and knowledgable about the city, and willing and able to suggest anything requested whether it be interesting things to see that weren't on the tourist maps, to 'local's eating' to arranging friendly taxis. The location is stellar, on a pedestrian walkway in the heart of the shopping district. Upon leaving the hotel each day, it was like a "ski-in / ski-out" resort but without the skiing. No busy traffic to navigate, just instantly there on the promenade. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable compared to other hotels of this quality and in this location. Highly recommend! Location Brilliant. Service Brilliant. Really nice hotel, staff were nice and helpful, location right where you need to be as a tourist. Only downside was the bathroom/shower was a bit small and inconvenient, but that is easily overlooked. Overall very very happy here.

What an excellent location this hotel has right on vaci utca, close to all shops and metro station and within easy walking distance to al major sights. Breakfast is very well laid out and a hood selection. The hotel room had a stained carpet, the towels feel like sand paper, and the shower was not too clean! We recently spent 3 nights at the Mercure and this was our second visit. The rooms are basic, but the breakfast is great, location is perfect and staff are very helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again. Value for money.

"Excellent Location, Good Value & Price"
We stayed three nights and couldn't have asked for a better hotel and location for this price. The hotel is one block off one of the main squares, another 1 1/2 blocks to the river. The reception staff were friendly, helpful -- and willing to help. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was wonderful and had lots of choices. […] the room's A/C worked well. I sent out a pile of laundry and got it back the same day impeccably cleaned and folded. We used the orange hop on-off bus line which included a 48 hour pass plus two boat for the same price as the other hop-on, hop offs (which gave only a 24 hour ticket) and never had to use public transportation. "Mercure City Center Hotel"
It was a perfect located hotel, right in the middel of centrum and rigth on the big shopping street. The staff on the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We had a priviliged room, the first we got was very small and not so fresh, it was and old carpet on the floor so we decided to change room. Got another room that was bigger, very clean and fresh […] and with wodden floor. But that bed was horribel, it killed my back so I had to eat painkillers for a couple of days. It was like sleeping on the floor. After one night there we decided to change room again. That room was smaller, not so fresh, no wooden floor but it was ok and the bed was good. We think that the room hasn't no extra but it is ok and as I said the location is perfect! Breakfast on the hotel is very expensive but it was a small nice coffeshop beside the hotel with fresh bread every morning (closed the weekends) and that was the best breakfast that we found in the town! And also cheap. Also you got Wi-Fi on the hotel and 3 computers in the lobby that was free for hotelguests. So after all, a nice hotel that we recommend! Mehr

Beautiful hotel and as the title says, right in the city centre. Would recommend this hotel and the rates are very, very reasonable.

Location is the big plus for seeing all the sights. Close to Metro and the Danube. Great Hotel for price and location. The air conditioning was a little weak during a major heat wave in mid July. Otherwise a great Hotel.

After spending six nights at the Mecure Hotel in Budapest I realised what a fantastic find it was. Not knowing much about Budapest we were a little in the dark, but on arrival we were so happy with the position of the hotel and its close proximity to everything Budapest has to offer. We felt quite at home with the friendly staff, clean hotel and restaurants […] galore to choose from. Walking distance to everything you could possibly want to see in both Buda and Pest. "Excellent Location - Fair Price -"
The high marks for this hotel are its excelent location, generous breakfast and attentive staff. Considering location, quality of the service and the prices charged by the competition, the price charged is reasonable. The hotel is situated on a very convenient place at Vaci Utca, at walking distance of the most interesting landmarks in Budapest, and […] near one of the major stops for tour buses and metro station (Erzabeth T.). It is also close to the piers from where tour boats depart. The breakfast is quite good ... so much so that I ended up limiting or skipping lunch most of the time to avoid gaining unwanted additional weigth. The hotel service personnel was attentive and helpfull. Free wireless Internet was also a plus. The only surprise was the additional charge of HUF 6200 (US$34.00) per daily access to regular TV Channels, which option they advise you on the TV screen, but seemed a bit too much to me. We did not use other room services and the hotel restaurant, as the place in Vaci Utca is sorrounded by good lunch and dinner options. Of course, this is hotel was selected by us as very a practical and reasonable option; you should not to expect to find luxury accomodations. But the hotel is very clean, reasonably decorated and the rooms are comfortable. Anyway, I would certainly recommend Mercure and will return there next time I go to Budapest. Mehr
"Mercure City Center Great Location"
Once you arrive and settle in you find yourself right in the heart of Budapest. Within walking distance is the craft market, the beautiful hill area, Parliament, all three bridges, shops, restaurants, historical sites. No need for a cab until you are ready to return to the airport!

"Great Hotel in Budapest, Hungary"
Great hotel! Maybe you can't see my rave above. It is located right in the downtown area. We were on a Viking River Boat tour. Only a 10 minute walk to the dock. Mis-read my documents and we had checked out but left the bags at the hotel. Found the boat ride began the following day so we walked back and checked back in. Staff was so friendly and helpful […] during the whole stay. Great rooms and many shops and eating places nearby. Found this hotel in a hurry due to quick travel plans. Thanks Hotels.com. Mehr
Very central and therefore very convenient for visiting city. Great breakfast as we had been led to believe.Summary of daily news throughtout Europe availablr at breakfast room great idea. The only gripe we had was that just like Budapesters in general hotel staff were very reluctant to smile .......I know it is a very bust chain hotel but smiles don't […] take up very much time. Hotel location is good But i find the unflexibility of the hotel staffs (female) They are not able to adjust or consider the principle of their guests. They charged me for the WIFI access that was not used to think instructions given by thier own staff was not mentioned even in the documents. No customer service consideration. I will defintely NOT recommend […] and will not stay in this hotel again. By the way, the bed is not comfortable to sleep with and the bed is noisy because of broken bed casing, not worth of the price value Mehr

"Fantastic location close to all main sights"
The hotel's location is, I think, the main selling point. This was a flying visit and to be that close to all the main attractions was really important. The rooms are decently appointed - didn't have the breakfast as felt at 17 euros it was a bit much (there is a cafe right next to the rear entrance to the hotel where we went instead). Our first plan was to find a hotel in Buda. However, on reading the guide book more closely it became clear that whilst Buda was the most historical, Pest had the action. This was especially true in the evening and for this reason the Mercure Central was a perfect choice. We went out of the main door and straight on to the Vacci utca - the main pedestrianised […] area.From her, all the important tourist places were within easy walking distance and the metro was two minutes away. The room was clean and funtionaland a reasonable size. The breakfast, which I did feel was too expensive, was huge and various. Ok for one day, but the rest of the time we went to Anna's for a cappucino and croissant!! The staff were lovely and very helpful. We had a great break, despite a day of pouring rain and we would definitely recommend the hotel to our friends, Mehr

I had a single bed and it was like sleeping on the floor. The mattress was very hard along with the poor quality of the pillows. The staff at the front desk could have also been more helpful. It seemed they did not like Americans. The internet, although free, was almost impossible to use. Would not recommend Mercure either in Budapest and worse in […] Vienna Mehr
