Zwischen Paddington-Station (8 Min) und Hyde-Park (3 Min) super Ausgangslage, egal ob zu Fuß, mit Bus oder Tube. Erstmals ein Hotel, welches wir wieder buchen würden! Sehr nettes Hotelpersonal, Sauberkeit ok, Zimmergröß außreichend, Miniküche gut ausgestattet. Kleines aber sauberes und relativ neues Bad, leider aber ohne Heizung. Im Zimmer selbst hat […] die Heizung gut funktioniert, lediglich die Straße war manchmal etwas störend. Da hilft es, tagsüber streng unterwegs zu sein, abends ein gutes Bier im Pub geniesen und dann schläfts sich auch ganz gut. Es gibt aber auch Zimmer nach hinten raus (Blick dafür auf Mauern und Dächer), die sind auch größer und ziemlich sicher dafür teurer. Wir hatten nur 3 Tage gebucht und wären bei dieser Unterbringung gern länger geblieben! Wir fanden ein kleines, nett eingerichtetes Studio mit Küchenzeile vor, im 2.Stock und mit Lage zu einem ruhigen Hinterhof. Das Badezimmer war, bis auf kleine Mängel, wie das nicht funktionierende Spiegellicht und fehlende Ablageflächen, in sehr gutem Zustand. Die […] Ausstattung des Zimmers war gut. Die nahegelegene Station Paddington (5 min zu Fuß) ermöglicht eine ideale Anbindung an den Flughafen Heathrow. Das Hotel liegt zentral zwischen zwei Undergroundstationen (Paddington und Leicester Gate) Man kommt von dort aus überall ganz gut hin. Das Hotelpersonal ist freundlich, die Zimmer sind sauber. Man darf jedoch von der Einrichtung des Zimmers nicht zu viel erwarten. Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach eingerichtet und es wirkt alles schon etwas älter. Wie in ganz London stimmt das Preisleitungsverhältnis nie. Für das was geboten wird, ist jedes Hotel zu teuer. Da wir einige Hotels "hinter uns haben", zählt dieses zu den besseren. Hotel günstig um London kennen zu lernen - Wer Komfort wünscht wird hier allerdings enttäuscht, aber vom Preis ist es günstig für Reisende die Morgens das Hotel verlassen und abends erst zurück kommen, vorallem die Küchenzeile bringt Vorteile für Individualität. Das Hotel liegt zwar nicht im Stadtzentrum aber ein paar Gehminuten vom Bahnhof entfernt und direkt am Hyde Park gelegen. Ich würde dieses Hotel jeder Zeit wieder buchen. Zimmer waren neu renoviert und auch ein neu saniertes Bad war ebenfalls vorhanden. Für den Preis wurde mehr geboten als ich je erwartet hätte.

- freundliche Mitarbeiter - sehr kleines Badezimmer, dafür sauber - leider kein Heizungsthermostat und da die Heizung zwischen 20:00 - 23:00 h komplett aufgedreht wurde, war es sehr warm - Lage ideal zum Bahnhof Paddington mit vielen kleinen "Tante Emma Löden" und preiswerten, ordentlichen Schnellimbissen mit vernünftigem Preisgefüge

14 Tage - Reisezeit Ende 08/2010 - Anfang 09/2010 Zuerst das Negative: Wer goldene Wasserhähne, Marmorbad und eine 140 qm-Suite erwartet ist hier falsch! Jetzt das Positive: Wir wollten Londen erleben und nicht in einem Luxusbau einen Wellnessurlaub geniessen. Diesen kann ich sowieso auf der ganzen Welt bekommen. Also: Zentral, Mitten in der Stadt […] aber wenig befahrene Straße. Unser Appartment war im 3. Stock zur Rückseite und angenehm ruhig. Saubere, neuwertige Küchenzeile mit Gläser, Tassen, Teller, Besteck, Microwelle, Herdplatten, Toaster, Wasserkocher, Kühlschrank mit Eisfach. Es gab sogar Tee und Nescafe inkl. Zucker. In Londen haben einige Supermärkte 24 Stunden geöffnet. Sodass wir auf dem Weg zum Hotel das Frühstück für den nächsten Tag besorgen konnten. Großes, geräumiges Zimmer. Das Bad mit Dusche war sauber. Wir waren angenehm überrascht. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Tolle Stadt, freundliche und hilfsbereite Menschen. Als Ausgangspunkt für unsere vielen Aktionen ein wahrer Glücksgriff. Fazit: Wochenkarte für Verkehrszone 1-2 reicht vollkommen aus und 14 Tage waren zu kurz! Ach, ja die Regenschirme hatten wir eigentlich umsonst mitgenommen. Mehr

Günstige Buchung übers Internet. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Altes, aber sauberes Hotel, in der Nähe von Paddingtin Station. Von hier aus sind alle Sehenswürdigkeiten mit U-Bahn oder Bus zu erreichen. Im Bahnhof gibt es einen Supermarkt, so dass man sich auch noch bequem versorgen kann, wenn man, wie ich, ohne Frühstück gebucht hat. Unser […] Zimmer war sicher vor nicht allzu langer Zeit renoviert und mit einem komplett neuen Bad ausgestattet worden,und auch noch Dusche und WC in getrenten Räumen.3+++ Punkte. Für London eine erfreuliche Überraschung, da viele Gebäude sehr alt sind. Auch die Kückenzeile war neu und sehr sauber. Leider waren an den Wänden des Schlafraums große Flecken, vielleicht ein Wasserschaden? In einer Ecke an der Decke hatte sich Schimmel gebildet. Trotzt Kälte konnte man die Heizung im Zimmer nicht selbständig in Gang setzten. Am nächsten Tag lief die Heizung auf Hochtouren, ließ sich aber nicht runterregeln. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, in wenigen Schritten gelangt man zum Hyde Park und zur U-Bahnstation "Paddington" und "Lancaster Gate". Der allgemeine Zustand des Hotels ist eher schlecht. Wir hatten zuerst ein sehr altes und muffiges Zimmer, konnten dann in ein anderes wechseln mit renoviertem Bad. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Wir hatten ein Appartment für 4 Erwachsene und einen Teenager gebucht. Es gab ein Doppeltbettzimmer und ein Einzelbettzimmer. Im Wohnzimmer/Küche befanden sich 2 KLAPPBETTEN, die wir selber aufstellen mussten. Das war wirklich unzumutbar. Wenn man zu fünft reist, ist es empfehlenswert ein Dreibettzimmer und ein Doppelzimmer zu buchen. Das Personal sehr […] freundlich und das Hotel ist für Londonverhältnisse in Ordnung. Excellent location within close walking distance of Hyde Park, Paddington Rail Station, and Lancaster Gate Underground Station. Many convenience stores and restaurants close by. Our "refurbished" studio was small, as expected, but having a kitchenette in the room was really nice. Bathroom was extremely small, and the bathroom sink was nearly unusable. […] The staff is mysteriously protective of their WiFi. This hotel is conveniently located to Hyde Park and the Underground. The service at the front desk was helpful and friendly. The room was a little outdated, but for the price it was pretty big, bathroom was modern, and the kitchenette was extremely convenient. The kitchenette included a sink, microwave, stovetop, and basic cookware and dining service. […] The only thing lacking was the complimentary toiletries. The little packets of shampoo were impossible to open and the maid did not replace them daily. I would stay here again. Mehr

We thought this hotel was perfectly adequate given the relatively low price for London. Also, having a kitchen enabled us to save on meal costs. The floors are very creaky so a fair amount of noise from the room above but quiet otherwise, well maintained albeit a very old building.

This was a terrible hotle, i could smell suage in my room! The staff where rude, the room looked like it had not been redecirated since the war. Not impressed

Excellent location as it was walking distance to both Hyde Park and Paddington Station. Pretty neighborhood with lots of restaurants nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful --balanced the age and not very clean condition (mostly old and threadbare) of the building. This hotel was really good compared to the others that i have seen at this Bayswater/Paddington -area. The room was huge and clean, price was cheap, location was like 2minutes from Lancaster gate tube-station. Only problem was that the kitchen window was broken and not possible to shut completely. We chose this hotel because our "room" would actually be a small flat with a kitchen, allowing us to cook for ourselves while we were in London in order to save some money. The price was similar to the hotel rooms we were looking at, and it's in a really convenient location. It's just a couple minutes walk from the Lancaster Gate underground station, […] as well as Hyde Park. The area seemed pretty safe though we didn't venture out at night too often just because we were tired. The room wasn't in the best condition ever (knicks in the walls, etc.), but it was more than adequate. Our bathroom smelled a little because for some reason they had a fabric shower curtain instead of a plastic one, so when you showered it would get soaking wet, making it smell. The hotel staff was pleasant enough, though we didn't have any issues that led us to talk to them other than at check-in and check-out. There's free wi-fi in the hotel lobby on the ground floor, though we could get a bit of signal in our first floor room and use it there sometimes. The bed's were a little firm for our tastes, but we slept fine anyway. Our kitchen included a two-burner, electric stovetop and a small refrigerator, and as far as supplies, we had a few pots and pans, a cheese grater, a large mixing/serving bowl, an electric kettle, a collander, four kitchen knives, and three each of big plates, small plates, cups and saucers, forks, knives, spoons, glasses, and wine glasses. We only had two bowls because that was all that would fit on the shelf with the other dishes. There was also dish soap in the room and a dish towel. (We were also given a dish sponge on our last day there but not before that for some reason.) The area was quiet enough at night, so we didn't have any issues with anything interrupting our sleep. Even though the hotel itself is clearly a little older and not in perfect condition, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying there again. Mehr

We stayed from 21/2 till 23/2-2012 at the Royal Court Apartments. The maintenance of the hotel is reasonable. Our room was on the 5th floor, just under the roof and was clean, quiet, quite big with large windows and very good beds. A free continental breakfast was offered in the hotel on the opposite of the street. This hotel is very convenient just […] above Hyde park with very good connections (Lancaster gate = subway/tube station in 2 minutes walk) with a very good price/quality ratio. Decent hotel near Paddington station if you need a short term stay in London and flying in from Heathrow. Rooms were clean and had everything needed. Internet is only available in the lobby is probaby the only drawnback.

Convenient location combined with a good management. The room is clean but not sunny.The kitchen is well equipped.

Room was very nice and big. Kitchenette with everything needed! Bathroom very nice. Girlfriend couldn't find a hairdryer, but that's not that big of a problem. Hotel close enough to walk to Oxford St., so we didn't have to ride a bus at all. Nice and cosy!

Wonderful location, close to Lancaster Gate underground and within walking distance to Paddington Station. The staff was very friendly. It was nice to have a microwave in a hotel room in London as was convient for breakfast and for evening meals on cold dark days.

If you're looking to stay in a clean, comfortable hotel on the cheap, this is the place. Very close to 2 tube stations, convenience stores and restaurants. My only complaint is that it needs some remodeling...it's by no means dilapidated or in bad shape but does need to be improved somewhat. Having the kitchenett was fantastic, just don't buy anything […] that requires an oven, they only have a stovetop and microwave.. and it would be preferable if wi-fi was available in the rooms and not just in the lobby and there needs to be more selection on the televisions. This hotel is close to Paddington Station and the Lancaster Gate tube stop, which is why we booked it. It is also very close to Kensington Gardens. The room was tiny but clean, it had a toaster, minifridge and electric kettle and tea and coffee supplies as well as a tray with dishes, cups, silverware for two and a dishtowel and soap to wash them. Very value for our money. Easy to find and Excelleant location. Very,. very good kind and accomodating staff. Our room was cleaned everyday, fresh towels and sheets. The kitchenette was more than adequate. Yes defenitely we would go back. We stayed seven days and we retyrn back. Walking distance to two underground staions.

Wife and I were in London for the night and it was the nicest reviewed hotel in our budget. Walking distance to Paddington which was helpful. Friendly staff, easily found. We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment from our double reservation but were given two single beds instead of the double. Too tired to ask to be downgraded again though. Mattresses […] were a little soft and needed more pillows, but again too tired to ask for them so its not the hotels fault for the latter. Able to leave our suitcases in their locked luggage room which was REALLY helpful as we arrived WAY too early. Mehr

When I arrived I was informed that I was upgraded from a single to a One Bedroom which was a double upgrade. I had a living room with kitchen and nice bath and bedroom. The bath was nice but awkward to get in and out of tub. Nice decor and big windows. It is on the Central Line ( red line) and easy to get to places. Big Bus and Original Tour bus pick […] up about a block away... Lancaster Gate stop. Front desk staff was nice. Kitchen was nice with plates cups etc and nice furnishings...wish I had been staying longer than one night. Bed was "ok" but not great. But overall liked the hotel and experience in general. I took Eurostar and it was about a 25 minute commute including transfer of "tube" lines. Mehr

Very close to Lancaster Gate Tube, and not far from Bayswater which is always a nice place for a little walk.. The hotel was ok, old and a bit dirty, the floor was veeeery crooked/bent in my room. But the price was ok, but not more than ok..

The room was basic but adequate for the price. It was handy to have a small kitchen area. When I booked in they charged me again for the room even though I had already paid but within minutes they realised their mistake and refunded me. Reception staff were very pleasant. Best thing about it is the area which is nice and convenient and near to Paddington […] Station. There are plenty of bars and shops nearby. Mehr

The staff were very helpful, especially on arrival. The surprisingly large room could do with some TLC, but even so was great, as it had a separate lounge/dining area and small kitchen. The hotel is placed in a good area, easy walking to Paddington Station, shops, Hyde Park and much more. Would recommend this hotel.

First, the good parts. The apartment was, in fact, a real one bedroom apartment. By European standards, quite spacious, especially for the price. And, they had WiFi in the lounge. But, the place is quite tired and run down. The floors in the halls were uneven and the carpeting and lighting were well past its prime. Furniture in the apartment make Ikea […] look expensive. This was our first stop on a 2 week trip through Europe. We got a refurbished room so it was nice, the bathroom was surprising well sized for British standards, the kitchenette was nice, we were able to make tea and coffee and use the mini fridge for some food. This budget hotel is located just a block from Hyde Park and Paddington Station and near many bus routes. The rooms are very clean, the beds very confortable. The bathrooms have huge bathtubs in them. The staff is very polite and friendly. There are many reasonable restaurants and pubs in the area.If you like walking Hyde park is only a block away and […] there are wonderful mews nearby to explore. Good location. Easy walk from Paddington Station - just two blocks. Close to Hyde Pack and all of the attractions. Room was a good size with kitchen facilities. Bathroom OK. Decor a little too dark and room temperature was hot with no fans to cool things down - but we were in a heat wave!
