First off, let me say the staff was very friendly, however I was very disappointed with the room. For a Marriott, it was very basic, and not what I expected. It looked attractive, but the room was uncomfortable and unpractical. It was actually a small room, and there was no table, just a desk with a slide out section, no mini fridge. Two Chairs, on […] "easy" chair, and one rolling desk chair, both of which were not at all comfortable. The bed was uncomfortable, the sheets kept popping off the mattress because they are too tight, and there were like twenty pillows on the bed - it was like swimming in pillows, a few is nice, that many was just aggravating. Also they nickel and dime you here - Specifically it showed that the room included wireless, but there is a substantial daily fee, and breakfast was only offered for an additional fee. Also when I left I noticed papers at some doors,but we did not receive one. Overall this really felt like a basic cheap hotel room, that just had better wallpaper and style. There are other options nearby that offer big comfortable rooms with a fridge, and breakfast for similar prices, probably will not be back. Mehr

This is a four star hotel with a good staff, nice swimming pool, and comfortable room. But NO free breakfast, NO free internet, NO TV channel guide and no refrigerator in the room. So how does it rate four stars? The two star motel down the highway has all of the above.

Great value during Christmas season. Nice place to unwind after sightseeing in the city. Room service was high quality. Pool, exercise area and hot tub were especially appreciated.

Booked at last minute as I was visiting family in the next town. This hotel is a real find. The restaurants are excellent; the pool and fitness room in good order, the accommodations very comfortable. The hotel is immaculate. The hotel was right off of a major highway, their was a starbucks and other restaurants across the street and the room and lobby were great. Could not ask for anything more.

When I made the reservation for two rooms with double beds. But you give us two room swith king size beds. That did not work out since we had two young children. I had to make a bed with pillows on the floor for the youngest to sleep. thank you, Carole Marchese

This is a good hotel. Staff well presented and efficient and friendly. Our room was great, plenty of room, clean and great comfortable bed with lovely linens. Easy to get to and easy to get back on the main road into NYC. Food and shops immediately over the road excellent. We had trouble with children and teenagers running in the hallway at all hours […] of the night. The parents were nowhere to be seen, our attempts ot curb their behaviour ineffective but a phone call to security helped somewhat. When I mentioned this on check out they said it was a common problem and what could they do. As it is a big hotel with meeting facilites it attracts groups for the weekends - in our case a car club - and with it are noisy and nuisance issues. The ice machine and vending machines were out of action too which isnt great when there is no fridge in the room. If you request they will bring a fridge up for you. Overall I would definetly stay here again, nice, clean, convenient. Mehr

XWe are very pleased with our entire experience at the Bridgewater Marriott. First, the hotel is beautifully decorated throughout and is very clean. Our room was clean and we were comfortable in the king size bed. All of the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We ate breakfast in the restaurant, the food was excellent! The portions were hefty […] and well prepared. The service Helpers were very pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed. The best part of our stay and the biggest surprise was when we went to leave the hotel to go to the funeral we expected that we would have to clean off the car since it had snowed during the night. But much to our pleasant surprise the hotel staff had cleaned off not just our car, but all of the cars of the hotel guest. That just made our stay that much better. At a time when one's heart is heavy we felt total comfort and support by all at the Bridgewater Marriott. It's good to know that if we ever need to go back, the Bridgewater Marriott would be the place for us to stay. Mehr

Everything was excellent.

The hotel itself is very nice. We've stayed here a few years and the front desk, the holiday decor and atmosphere is very pleasant. Rooms are clean - I would ask for rooms facing away from the highway however. BUT there are 2 important issues - the services are geared strictly to men. No shower cap or blow dryer in the room. The business center has […] sports not business magazines. The television sets have sports channels but no HGTV or Food channels. It is very disappointing to see the insensitivity toward women clientele. Second, the breakfast in the restaurant is lousy. How can a "chef" ruin eggs and potatoes is beyond comprehension. The potatoes were gray in color and the eggs were over cooked and rubbery. The amount of food on the plate could have fed an army. I recommend they focus on quality not quantity - it was a bit of a turn off to see a giant pile of food. And this was eggs to order not from the buffet. The servers are poorly trained, either in your face or not there with coffee when you need it. Their timing is poor. And they have it calculated that you pay $17 dollars whether its for the buffet or $14 for eggs and $3 for coffee. Either way you're paying at least $17 for breakfast. All in all I would avoid the restaurant all together. Mehr

Chosen for its proximity to elderly relatives in New Jersey the Marriott did everything we needed it for. It had great facilties, the staff were very kind and helpful and we weren't there for the views! We were very comfortable and enjoyed the pool and gym as relaxation. There are some excellent places to eat in the vicinity though getting over the […] roads is a bit of a challenge. Mehr

First, I got lost and couldn't find the hotel and someone was kind enough to stay on the phone with me until I was in the parking lot. There was no wait to check in. I was greeted by a smiling receptionist, even though it was late at night. She chose a room based on my preferences and requests. I was pleased to find a spacious and inviting room. The […] surrounding area is beautiful and leaves no shortage of restaurants and shopping extravaganzas. The Bridgewater Commons is less than a half a mile away containing stores such as Bloomingdales. Across the way is a Best Buy and TJ Maxx/Home Goods. I met friends at one of the hotel restaurants, Martini's, one evening for cocktails. The bartender was wonderful and gave personal recommendations on drinks and food which were right on target with my taste. Our stay at the Marriott Bridgewater was excellent. Everything was fresh and clean, well decorated and quiet. The location is very good for connecting to places in north Ney Jersey. We found it very convienent for our needs. We would absolutely stay at the Marriott Brdigewater in the future.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Bridgewater Marriott and we will be back again. Location is directly across the street from a large Mall with lots of restaurants close by. Easy access to I-287 for travel into NYC.

one of the rooms, in a relatively empty hotel, next to mine had babies crying all the time. It was too late to change rooms but hotel people shpuld have known about a baby in a room and not put me in that room.

The service is great. The rooms are very comfortable. The restaurant has good restaurants for the business traveler.

This hotel was very nice. Having two small children, cleanliness is most important to me when staying at a hotel. I was extremely pleased at how clean our room was(the bathrooms/shower/ shower curtain/ bed linens including the comforter all seemed fresh and clean). -On top of that, the hotel employees were all very polite and professional -and worked […] hard to please. The room service was pricey(to be expected) but the food was excellent. I would definitely stay here again if ever in that area. I do have one complaint, and that is not from the hotel, but from guests..people next door sounded like they were having a party(it was Saturday night)..but we were all so tired it was not an issue. The room was very nice. The staff was friendly. Internet access is pricey as is the bottle of water in your room. Also could have used more towels in bath. Overall great location across the street from a nice shopping center and just down the road from where we needed to be.

Clean, well equiped, very curteous and pleasant employees. Excellent breakfast buffet.
