This hotel was ok for business travel if you need a clean, less expensive place for a brief stay. The good: staff were friendly and professional. All spaces were very clean. The bed was comfortable. Nice staff and convenient

Adequate is how I would describe pretty much everything about the Fairfield Inn - Akron South. I arrived to check in around 9pm and found nobody at the front desk. I had to wait a few minutes and finally knock on the desk to get someone to come out. Check in was quick, the clerk was neither friendly nor unfriendly, and I went off to find my adequate […] room. The room was pretty big for just the one king bed, desk, and single club chair that it contained. I didn't sit in the chair, but the bed was just OK, not particularly comfortable but not uncomfortable either. The bathroom was pretty basic, as were the toiletries provided -- shampoo, conditioner, face soap and body soap (no lotion, shower cap, etc, though they did say they could supply you with anything you forgot at the front desk). Breakfast in the morning was also adequate - cold cereal, packets of instant oatmeal, bagels (which you could toast if desired), blueberry muffins, mini coffee cakes, bananas and apples, plus a mini fridge with fruit cups, cartons of milk (for drinking and also for the cereal), yogurt, and corndogs and breakfast sandwiches that you could heat in the microwave. There was a waffle station but you had to get an attendant to make the waffles for you -- that was the only hot food available -- and there was also juices and coffee. The pool was really tiny; not big enough for swimming laps but maybe if you have little kids who want to swim in it it would be fine, and there was a small hot tub as well. The gym had two treadmills, one elliptical, one exercise bike, and a small bench with a rack of dumbbell weights next to it. All the gym equipment seemed to be in good working order. While the service I received from the employees of this hotel was for the most part adequate, nobody seemed particularly friendly or willing to go the extra mile. Tub drain was really slow. Other than that, no issues. Comfy bed close to the wedding reception we were attending. That's all we needed.

Great Location, just a couple miles from the football HOF, the the main reason for my trip

Everything was exactly what I expected it to be. Clean, remodeled rooms, friendly staff and a great breakfast bar. Location great for travelers in the Akron area. I would stay again for sure.

I arrived after driving from CT to OH, I called hotels.com and booked my hotel 30mins before arrival. Upon arrival, the staff had already received my booking and was extremely helpful upon arrival. Checked alot of other hotels found this one to be more money but was good value. Got the Gas & Go deal so minus the gas card and a good Breakfast the price seems reasonable. The rooms where clean the beds where comfortable, good night sleep. Staff very friendly and nice. Would stay again.

The advertised free airport shuttle does NOT run 24/7. If you have a very early or very late flight, you must pay for a cab (approx. $25.00). Loved the color scheme of the hotel--blue, green, and orange! The King Room was clean, modern, and comfortable, though a bit small. The pool is extremely small. We have stayed at another Fairfield Inn and loved that experience so we stayed here again. The beds are comfortable and the service is great. I will stay here any time.

I recently stayed in Akron for a business trip, and chose this hotel for the price. After arriving, and receiving OUTSTANDING customer service, I would return again for the service and room. Excellent choice. Very close to a variety of restaurants, downtown and department stores for the items that I forgot!

The hotel exceeded our expectations. Very nice, beds were comfortable, very clean. Would go back in a heartbeat

First of all I did request two queen size bed in the room,and even I was told over the phone that double/double means queen size when I checked in I got to full size bed and the receptionist sad they don't have any queen size in the whole hotel. I will never choose this hotel again.Too expensive....

Staff was polite,and with a nice breakfast, made it a good price, only problem had a little difficulty surfing the channels on tv, could be type of cable company.

今回は2回目の宿泊と成りましたが、冷蔵庫、ﾚﾝｼﾞがついていた為、良かったです。前回は付いていなかった様な気が・・・。朝食は、ワッフルをほしい分だけ焼いてくれるｻｰﾋﾞｽがうれしい。

Fairfield Inn & Suitesには初めて宿泊しましたが、 非常に清潔感があり、Hotel内は明るく且つ各Doorにロックシステムも安全にも優れ、家族で安心して泊まる 事が出来ました。 また、ﾄｲﾚの流れが非常に良く、他のHotelとは異なる 方法で排水している。これには脱帽です。 ｲﾝﾀｰﾈｯﾄの接続については、ﾜｲﾔｰが必要な仕様と 成っている。ﾜｲﾔｰﾚｽに変更して貰えると更に良い。 朝食については、ワッフルを焼いてくれるｻｰﾋﾞｽも有り。 自分としては、なかなかのHotelと判断しています。
