We had a nice clean room with a comfy bed and plenty of towels. Heater worked great. Breakfast was impressive for a hotel of this price. Waffles and pancakes with syrup or strawberries and cool whip, an omlet bar with great toppings. Plenty of fruit. Big cereal bar and yummy juice too! They went above and beyond to offer options! Loved all of the items […] for sale in the lobby too. I'd definitely stay there with my family again. Great location, only 5 minutes from the alliant energy center. Mehr

ther is no surrounding neighborhood- you're off a highway and next to a landfill. But the room is clean and cheap and its very near madison and monona . It has the things a roadside motel should have an ice machine an a coke machine. its not gracious but its very inexpensive and not scary or dirty.

The room was clean, except for the carpet. The carpet really needed a good cleaning. And the upstairs neighbors were really noisy, but I think it's the walls and ceiling that are too thin. Once they were gone it was pretty quiet. They did have free wi-fi and that definately came in handy. They also had a free breakfast. I loved that the room had a mini […] fridge and a microwave. The location wasn't the best (it's located next to a city dump) but there was no unpleasant smell in the air, but there were a lot of birds. And the entrance was a bit confusing. But overall, it was a good room for a good price. We were satisfied. Mehr

The price was right. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to simply have a descent bed and warm shower, this is your place. The rooms are very "sterile". The complimentary hot breakfast buffet was excellent - the BEST part of the stay. The surrounding area leaves a lot to be desired and finding the turn off from the highway might require one […] or two U-turns. The worst aspect is having to drive by a very aromatic landfill every time you leave or return to the hotel. Mehr

The room we stayed in had holes in the walls in the bathroom, which was filthy, Mold around the window. Baseboard heater rusted and dirty. Their breakfast area dirty and spilled food on the floor. Hallways are dark with burlap frames for whatever reason. Carpeting in the room was disgusting. The parking lot around the whole place filled with pot holes. […] The place is right next to the city dump. Should just plow it right into it as that is where it belongs...the reason given by the owner that the place is old and they are constantly remodeling...which we saw nothing of the sort. A basic hotel. Got a good price and had all the basics.

Pros: cost, clean, easy access to hwy, loved all the pillows. Great place to stay if you have a car. Within 10-15 minutes of Madison. did not have the breakfast, but it did smell good! cons: had room next to access door (room 114), heard every door opening and closing. DO NOT stay here if you do not have a car, not accessable to any shopping.

we choose this hotel primarily because they offered a free breakfast We were not informed when we checked in that the breakfast was done by 9 am. W So we missed out on that. Especially on weekends people are staying for pleasure and want to sleep in. Even 10 am would be more appropriatte

We stayed overnight while in town for the Brad Paisley concert. The desk clerk was very pleasant. The room was fine. The only "complaint" we have is the shower knob is backwards. It needed to be turned to cold for hot water and vice versa. Otherwise everything else was up to par.

Best breakfast I've ever had at a modestly priced hotel.

Not fancy but it did the job for what I needed for the night. Appreciate the refrigerator & microwave, but wish they'd also had an in-room coffee maker.

The staff was very pleasant and accomodating.

It was a bit hard to find - I passed it once off the highway because I missed the sign. Downtown Madison is not far to the west, maybe 15 minutes. The hotel does share an entrance with the nearby landfill - but it must be well maintained because it didn't smell or bother us at all. They had plenty of hot food and variety, including fresh fruit, at breakfast […] (surprisingly, because there seemed to be about four rugby teams staying in the hotel that weekend). Room service did a great job and provided plenty of towels, washcloths, etc. without having to request them. The sheets were clean, the beds were comfortable. They rooms had only showers, no tubs. They did have a mini-fridge and microwave. There is an ipad for guest use in the lobby, which was cool, but as far as I know no computer. Free high-speed wireless in all the rooms (as advertised), and it was actually high speed. Definitely as much as I could have expected (perhaps more) for the price. Nice and friendly staff, pretty nice room, a free continental breakfast with a good selection. A good deal for the price.

overall a respectable value. hot breakfast and 24 hr coffee was nice. Lobby / dining area had good tables and access to ipad. building itself old and rundown however management appeared to be trying to fix it up. service decent. room small and on the run down side but clearly had not been updated yet. shower drained very slowly, toilet didn't flush […] well. worst aspect was the location: very far out to east side of town and i had a full week of work with client way out on far west side. cell service in the room very poor, had to walk out to lobby or into parking lot to get signal. signage and directions off of highway to find it very poor (was foggy that night). Would be fine if you are passing through but not a good place for a business trip. Mehr

excellent breakfast home cookin a hotel totally makes this hotel worth it. stone grill to cook out by the pool after a night out in madison. pancakes sausage buscuits and gravy just like mom used 2 make. omelette bar. i had better breakfast here then anywhere else

The only thing it has going for it is the breakfast which was one-of-a-kind for a hotel. The problem was that on a Sunday morning there were so many people trying to eat breakfast at the same time that getting access to the pancake or omelet skillets was next to impossible. The woman who checked us in (not sure if it was the owner) was very suspicious […] of us for no reason at all. After giving us our room # we went & parked & carried our stuff in, she met us by the door to our room & said "are you sure you don't have any pets?" "No, just a baby" was my response. It was clear there were many, many open rooms but she put us near the office, which was also near the pool & breakfast area. In hindsight I wish I would've asked to be moved, but the woman staffing was not very approachable. Therefore we got to listen to kids running the hallways and non-stop traffic. The hotel looks so rundown from the outside that it gives it a creepy feel. A little bit of sprucing up would go a LONG way! Spend a few more bucks & stay somewhere friendlier & nicer! Mehr

Breakfast was wonderful, many options. Convenient access to Interstate.

The room was clean enough, location was next to the city dump, Breakfest self made, buffet was pretty good. The room was very loud till about 2:00AM . They charged my credit card $1.00 for what I am not sure. Overall I was not happy with the place, but for cheep rates what was I to expect.

This hotel was a good deal less expensive than any other we found in the Madison area + we therefore didn't have to many expectations. However, the rooms were clean + the free breakfast had a surprising variety. Sadly the breakfast area wasn't kept clear or clean + I would definitely give a better rating if this was improved.

Most hotels/motels on west side of Madison where you will also find restaurants, shopping, etc. This motel only a couple of miles east from Interstate 90 and there is one lonely gas station and Rev. This hotel/motel was scary. There were old cars and motorcycles taking parking spots. People parked all over the place in the grass. It's right next to the dump. The place was clean enough, but you can tell there have been no updates in at least 10-15 years... the grout is yellow and the bathroom looks dirty even when it's clean. I didn't feel safe at this hotel with people coming and going all night and bottom line for only a few dollars more I have stayed in far nicer and cleaner hotels. Mehr

MOTEL LOOKED LIKE HALF THE ROOMS WERE BEING REMODELED. SMALL ROOMS, BREAKFAST WAS'NT AVAILABLE TILL LATER IN THE MORNING. ROOM WAS IN DISREPAIR. MOTEL IS RIGHT NEXT TO LANDFILL

This hotel is a good, no frills hotel. The rooms are a little small, but adequate for a short trip during which one would not be in a hotel room much. It was quiet, which was nice. Also there was a full, hot breakfast that you could make yourself - omelets (or just scrambled eggs, waffles and such. It was surprisingly nice.

Americas Best Value Inn, Madison, WI had a great breakfast each morning. We were able to have hot food, fresh fruit, juice and coffee.

It's a bargain, but... 1. The entrance is a side road off the free way- not an exit, just an unlit, poorly marked one lane road. And if you miss it, you can not turn around on the highway for 10-30 minutes, depending on which hwy you are on. I missed the road twice, and ended up wasting an hour total trying to find the entrance. And don't trying calling […] the hotel for help on getting there, they are not helpful. 2. The lobby smells bad 3. The room is creepy. Everything worked well, and it seemed clean, but there was definitely an eerie feel about it. I recommend skipping dinner and putting that extra $20 on a better room. Mehr

This hotel was not what I expected. The exterior of the hotel needs to be painted or better maintained. Though the room was quiet, the shower was not cleaned well. My room was in the first floor and whenever I turned the bathroom light on, the fan will start working and a smell of burnt oil from the nearby food area will enter my room. I had to move […] to a room in the second floor. Also, my room was not cleaned on my first night. I will not recommend to stay at this hotel. Mehr

We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Madison Americas Best Value Inn! The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the continental breakfast was wonderful! Thank you!

Americas Best Value Inn Madison was not what was pictured when making the reservations on Hotels.com. When we arrived we found the hotel run down and in real need of repairs on the outside and needs to be updated on the inside. This hotel does not deserve a two star rating, as we have stayed in too many two star rated hotels that should be three star. […] The only good thing that we can say about this hotel was that the bed was ok for the one night we stayed.We were stuck with staying as no refund on cancellation. Looks a little rough from the outside, but very nice on the inside. Fantastic breakfast!

We were very satisfied with our stay. It was a little odd, I thought to have people cook their own omelets, pancakes, but the facilities were fine. 24 hr coffee option was very nice. Would recomend it for those who don't need to be right in the center of town, because it is more remote, but very accessible by several routes

We needed a cheap place to stay on the way home and this definitely fit the bill. It was very clean and had all the emenities we were looking for...free parking, free breakfast and VERY affordable. It is old fashioned and not newly updated but worked very well. It had all we needed and was pleasant. We would stay again when the need arises.

Not bad for a night out on the town on a busy holiday...

Best thing about this motel - breakfast. Other things - rooms are so small the two double beds in the room are each pushed into the corners with a small table in between. If 3 or 4 people are booked in the room, the person next to the wall must enter the bed first or crawl in from the foot of the bed. A washcloth with toothpaste on it was left in the […] basket on the sink counter. Conversations in the hall were easily heard in the room. Outer door locks required a key to be turned with one hand while using the other hand to open the door. Mehr

Three college students (one couple, one single person) needed a place to stay on saturday/halloween 2009. Availability was good and right off a major highway about 7 min drive from downtown/campus area. Breakfast was as promised, excellent selection.
