Super 8 - Madison South - Madison

Very happy with the quality as compared to the price.

It was okay. The continental breakfast was moderate to say the least and some strange guys were hanging out in the lobby( I'm hoping guest ) and on the computer for half the night.

We often stay here when in Madison for a few days. Management is very helpful and friendly. Property is very clean. Pool was fun for the kids. Absolutely no problem in recommending this place.

It was very clean, breakfast was amazing. Can't really say anything bad about it.

Good breakfast. Nice & helpful staff. Kind of a pain in the rear to get to. Very clean. Nice pool and hot tub. Pretty close to UW campus. We stay there almost every time we visit our son who attends the U. I would definitely recommend.

Breakfast was amazing! Rooms are really warm at first. But once they cool down, it stays down. Felt great. Hotel Staff was the nicest i've been around.

Friendly check in...rooms clean. Hallways clean. Comfortable beds, nice rooms...twenty-four hour pool and didn't bring my suit! Would definitely stay here again...

convienient, clean, would stay again

The hotel was what I expected for the price. The breakfast bar had a nice variety and was better than I anticipated. I was a little disappointed that the pool was so cold. Overall, a nice stay.

What a joy to find an economically priced motel with all the comforts.....24hr pool and hot tub...continental bfst.....immaculate room...and very polite staff. This place is instantly off the E-way, and close to good chain and local restaurants. When in Madison, this place will get my business.

We stayed here for a much needed two days of rest and fun - why wouldn't we? We were here a little over a year ago and were very happy with our stay. Pool open 24 hours - location within short driving distance to downtown. Rate was much affordable than downtown locations. Easy on, Easy off to beltline surrounding the city.

The hotel was nice and clean and they had a pool, not bad for the price. I think that they could improve on their breakfast offerings, but there is a Perkins right next door. Would recommend this hotel.

poor internet directions as to street name access. very nice, well maintained versus age of building. the two desks in the double queen suites is not needed. one would do nicely. hotels.com is definitly the service i will use in the future!!

We always stay here when visiting family in Madison. A great stay as always. Excellent breakfast. We had driven all night and arrived early to beat a snow storm, and they were able to get us in a room before noon so we could rest. We will stay here again.

We had an issue trying to get somewhere in town and were uncertain how to get there. Considering that we had limited time to get there I asked the 2nd shift front desk Clerk for help. He completely understood our predicament and was more than willing to help us through the problem. He gave perfect directions, and even showed us where to go on the map […] inside of the Madison tourist booklet. It was refreshing to have someone put that much effort into our problem. Mehr

Overall I had a very nice one-night stay. Everything was very clean, the staff were friendly, and I got a decent breakfast (hot waffles, cereal, eggs, bagels, muffins, coffee, and juice available the morning of my stay). They also have a small but clean workout room with weights, a stationary bike, and a treadmill. It took me 10-15 minutes to get downtown […] and to the university from the motel, and it was a very easy drive. My only complaint is that the walls are rather thin, so I could hear my very loud neighbors guffawing and yelling through it. (Not the hotel's fault about the neighbors... just the thin walls). I would definitely recommend this place if you're staying in Madison for a short period of time. Mehr

This was our third stay at this Super 8. On each occasion, the front desk assistant was very helpful and friendly. Rooms are very clean. The motel is one of the quietest we have ever stayed in. Thank you Super 8 South Madison!

the hotel is standard. the guy at the front desk was really nice, funny and efficient, my room was very clean and quiet. they had a pool which looked really good, but i forgot my suit. The location is great if you need to be downtown or the university in the morning, because it's a straight shot. Only thing that wasn't good was the breakfast, there […] wasn't even any half and half for coffee, and a choice of coco poofs or fruitti crunchy, for cereal, ick. Mehr

Very clean and comfortable. I called for early check in and was told I could check in ASAP. That was awesome. I stayed for my 50th birthday, and was joined by my granddaughter who thought the pool and hot tub were the best.

We were very pleased with our room and the cutomer service with this hotel. Bed were comfy, breakfast was good and staff was very friendly!

I was very happy with this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub were very nice. I definitely like the morning free breakfast. Cheers!

This hotel is as good as any 3 or 4star rated hotel, from the friendly staff to the pool area to the room it self. It was Halloween weekend and hotel had hired extra security to keep the college crowd under control I would go out of my way to stay ther again. senior citizen George

GREAT FRONT DESK STAFF

Hotel is about 20 mins from Camp Randall. The continental breakfast is good and very hearty. Different than your std continental. Good location with plenty of restaurants and mall.

I was very happy with the Hotel Stay. We had a problem with a loud party in the hall and Security had to be called. The problem was resolved, and the Hotel offered us a free night's stay within the next year so I was very happy with that.

I thought the hotel was great for the price...I would have liked a fridge so that I could get my waterbottles chilled better before the race. Overall Great stay- Easy to find and I would stay there again.

I would never suggest this place to anyone! We stayed there with three other couples and EVERYONES room stunk of smoke so badly that it gave us headaches!! Learning the hard way, you get what you pay for...cheap rate, cheap nasty room....I will gladly pay 40 bucks more for a comfortable, NICE smelling room!

Great low-cost place to stay. Gave it a 4 of 5 on comfort of the room only because there was a slight lingering odor of tobacco products in this non-smoking room.

Had excellent service here! It was crowded and very busy all weekend but the staff still managed to accommodate all the guests. The free breakfast hit the spot every day that we were there. Our family would stay here again! One recommendation I would like to suggest is to add more seating to the outside. It seems other guests took all the pool seating […] to sit outside leaving the pool with very little seating. Mehr

First, in all fairness, the staff was excellent. The maids did their best to make the rooms nice and the front desk was always staffed by very helpful people. The hotel itself is not worth staying at though. It is old and dirty. We parked in the back lot and there was old (very smelly) carpet, fridges and other junk right by the door. The garbages were […] too full to throw anything away. Hallways are very old and dingy. The room smells somewhat. I don't think it is a bad hotel, just that for what you pay, it is not anywhere close to other hotels. Mehr

Great service! Everyone here goes a little extra in their performance. I wanted a taxi. As I expected, the county called one for me, Did the usual stuff...where I am, where I am going. Then added a little more by checkig when the taxi would be. Nice. At the brakfast counter, they had ran out of bagels. Again, they jumped right on that problem, fixed […] it fast. And then looked and restocked other items. What I liked the most was how they looked at problems. Not just fixing the one one problem that is brought to their attention, but going the extra step and fixing items before they can become a problem. But I have to admit they have lousy pillows. Mehr

A wonderful value. Includes breakfast, hot tub and indoor pool. The concierge is a really laid back guy who clearly enjoys his work and makes young travelers feel welcome. That being said, it's not a rowdy place and I observed numerous happy families at breakfast every day. It was a great place close to businesses on Beltline. The staff was amazing and the room perfectly tidy, comfortable, and quiet.

The hotel was very close to good resturants & great malls, and wonderful site seeing.

This was an excellent hotel! Great price, wonderful staff, nice people cleaning and helping with the breakfast, clean rooms and hallways, great pool and cute little workout room. nothing glamorous but will meet your needs. even though WI is smoke free the smell still lingered in the halls and the rooms. Breakfast was good. Front desk staff friendly.

The people were friendly. The breakfast OK. The room was clean. It was the noise from the next room and the hall that made the difference. We will not go there again because of the noise through the walls. We therefore had a poor nights rest.
