Feb. 2013Hotel befand sich zum Zeitpunkt zwischen 2Baustellen(1direkt im Gebäude daneben, 1Anfang der Rue de l'arbre sec),dazu der Mini-Empfang=Schock.Wir waren am Wochenende da=keine Lärmbelästigung.Wir sind Mo.früh abgereist, im Haus neben sehr laut.Wir kamen um 10h an,Check-In ist um14h.Das Gepäck habe ich nicht hinterlassen,es wäre von außen sichtbar gewesen,das ist bei monogrammiertem Gepäck nicht wünschenswert.Das Zimmer konnten wir um 11:30Uhr beziehen,wir waren in Chambre Pont-Neuf( 5.Et.)Zimmer war sauber+für frz.Verhältnisse groß,genauso wie das Bad(bodentiefe Dusche+Doppelwaschbecken).Es gab,wie erbeten,2getrennte Betten.Sauberkeit:Bettwäsche+Handtücherl(auch beim demonstrativen Stapel auf dem Boden)wurden nicht täglich gewechselt.1neuer Anstrich+neuer Teppich würde nicht schaden.Servicequalität,keine 4*: Hoteldirektor haben wir am Anreisetag gesehen,das war‘s.Frühstück jd Morgen anders ist,obwohl wir immer das Gleiche bestellten.Sehr ärgerlich war,dass ein bestellter grüner Tee mehr als30Minuten dauerte.Angeblich gab es keinen grünen Tee im Haus(!).Dies kann ich in 1“4*Haus“nicht nachvollziehen.Wieso kein Tee von Kusmi, Frères Mariages o.Angelina,anstatt Lipton?Keine Kommunikation mit dem Gast.Ich bin Französin,die Sprache war nicht Verständigkeitsproblems.Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorzuheben,nah an 2Metrostrationen(M1+M7)sowie der Rue de Rivoli.Fazit:kein 4*Niveau,die Kombi kl.Hotel+die Lage ist gut bis sehr gut,wenn man dafür Abstriche beim Service akzeptieren will.

"Kleines, aber feines Hotel zentral gelegen"
Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen zwischen der Sorbonne, dem Pantheon und dem Jardin du Luxembourg. Es sind ca 15 Gehminuten zur Seine und der Ile de la Cite. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilft einem bei allen Fragen gerne weiter. Am Empfang wird neben Französisch sehr gut Englisch und auch Deutsch gesprochen. Unser Zimmer war klein. Nach Rückfrage […] am Empfang scheint dies jedoch die Regel zu sein. Da wir die wenigste Zeit auf dem Zimmer waren, ist das auch nicht weiter schlimm. Es war sehr sauber und hatte ein Doppelbett, einen Schrank, Schreibtisch, Zimmersafe, einen Flachbildfernseher und ein großes Fenster zur Straße. Nebenan war ein geräumiges Designerbad auch mit großen Fenster. Man konnte kostenlos auf dem Zimmer WLAN nutzen. Am Abreisetag konnten wir ganztags unser Gepäck aufbewahren lassen bevor wir Abends zum Flughafen aufbrachen. Das Hotel bot auch Frühstück zu einem Aufpreis an. Die Auswahl am Buffet war sehr groß, nur leider kann man kaum so viel essen, da es nicht günstig ist. Ansonsten waren wir sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel und würden wieder dort buchen! "Prima Hotel neben der Sorbonne"
Das Hotel liegt sehr gut, um Ausflüge zu Fuß in Paris zu unternehmen. Pantheon und Sorbonne liegen gleich um die Ecke. Metro und S-Bahn auch in unmittelbarer Nähe. Service im Hotel sehr zuvorkommend, äußerst freundlich. Frühstücksbuffet sehr umfangreich, aber auch ziemlich teuer (Buffet 20,- € pro Person), wir frühstückten deshalb ab dem 2. Urlaubstag […] in einer Bäckerei um die Ecke. W-Lan wird kostenlos im Hotel zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber stylisch. Nespresso-Maschine auf dem Zimmer. In 2010 recht neues und schick gestaltetes Hotel. In der Nähe der RER B Station Luxembourg gelegen gut angebunden an CDG & Orly. Wir haben den geringen Aufpreis für ein Deluxe Zimmer investiert und hatten ein (für Pariser Verhältnisse!) geräumiges Zimmer mit tollem Bad im obersten Stockwerk zum ruhigen Innenhof gelegen. (Leider wie so oft keine optimal […] schallisolierte Zimmertür.) Eine zentrale Ausgangsbasis für Spaziergänge durchs Quartier Latin und zu den Highlights von Paris. Absolut zu empfehlen! "In unmittelbarer Nähe ist alles zu finden, was ein Tourist für wichtig hält."
Unser Hotelzimmer (Standard) waren sehr klein: für 3 Tage und als erfahrener Camper gerade noch zu ertragen. Eine gemütliche Aufenthaltsmöglichkeit fehlt. Das Hotel ist sehr modern eingerichtet, was allerdings an einigen Stellen auf Kosten der Bequemlichkeit geht. Nicht so gut: Keine Haken zum Aufhängen; schlechte Ablagemöglichkeiten im Zimmer und vor […] allem im Bad; man kann nich vermeiden, dass das Wasser beim Waschen vor den Spiegel spritzt und sich hinter dem Waschbecken auf der Ablage sammelt, zum Saubermachen sicher eine Zumutung (es war aber trotzdem alles sauber). I have stayed in numerous hotels near the Latin Quarter over the last ten years during my bi-annual trips to watch Wales play rugby and this is just about the best hotel I have found in the area. The room had modern decor with a high quality finish and the hotel benefits from friendly staff and a great location near the Pantheon and Luxembourg station, […] which is easily accessible from Gare Du Nord. The hotel is not cheap and whilst it is not the best hotel I have stayed in, it is probably as good as you can get for the money in Paris. After reading some reviews we chose this hotel and were very happy with it. We also got a GR8 deal via hotel.com (12% discount). We chose the Deluxe Double Room - Non Refundable option and were […] very happy. The hotel is in a quiet area. The nearest metro is about 700 meters from there but it's a short walk. There is a good supermarket near by in case you need anything. "One week in Paris..."
I was in a deluxe double and, for the life of me, I still can't get used to the sizes of the hotel rooms in Europe. Size aside, our room was clean and well appointed. The location was great: 2 minute walk to the Luxembourg Metro station, 2 minute walk to Luxembourg Gardens, 3 minute walk to the Pantheon, 10 minute walk to Notre Dame and minutes to about […] 30 different bistros (although all of them were tourist traps with sub-par food in my opinion). Tiny cramped room that it is well appointed. We slept well and the linens and pillows were comfortable and soft. Due to lack of space in the room, two of us were tripping over our (carry-on only) luggage and couldn't keep the cabinet door closed. Bring disinfecting wipes: the toilet is in its own closet with no sink (which means one cannot wash hands […] before opening door). Sink and tub/shower were in a separate closet. Bathrobe and slippers are provided. Due to space constraints, I would only recommend this hotel for solo travelers. Excellent example of hotel hospitality. Our room had plumbing issues so before we arrived they booked us into nearby comparable hotel for one night and upgraded our room for rest of stay at Grand Hotel St Michele. To ease transition after our trans Atlantic flight the porter took bags to other hotel while we drank coffee and ate something at GHSM and […] then walked the few blocks. Don't even think about staying here if you like sleeping in comfort and not in a hot box. The climate control does not work and even though you can push the buttons, everything is controlled somewhere in the lobby. They only have a heat or cool setting. Circa 1922. Hotel staff was welcoming and spoke excellent English. We stayed in a triple which was very roomy by European standards and everything was great except that the shower had a tendency to leak water onto the floor. Just a bad shower/tub design. The location is excellent being very close to the Jardin du Luxembourg which has an awesome playground for […] the kids. Lots of close food and supermarket options also. Paris is divided into twenty neighborhoods called arrondissements, and they're arranged in an outward spiral beginning at the city's center. One of our best is the 5th: vibrant, young, and energetic, the Latin quarter has it all, and this particular hotel is a perfect gem. The service was flawless, friendly, and everyone spoke perfect English for our […] friends. The room was terrific and everything a seasoned traveler would expect from a fine French hotel. Breakfast was very good, and features the right mix of French cheeses, salamis, breads, and perfectly prepared scrambled eggs. We liked the location being just one small block away from the square, as it was quiet and restful with the windows closed, yet the energy of Parisian life really should be experienced with the windows open.
