La Quinta Inn and Suites St Louis Westport - St. Louis

Stay was ok. Hotel room key didn't work in room. Service was slow. Room was plain. Small bathroom. TV went out for an hour.

The hotel needs a big facelift! The first night I was walking through the hallway and thought I smelled wet dog. The next night the couple sleeping in the room next to me had a yipping dog and every time they opened the door, the dog was yipping. I would not have stayed here had I known that pets were allowed.

The Hotel is well maintained even though you can tell that there is some age to it. The room was clean and comfortable. I recommend highly staying here and the price is right!!

Emoyees are extremely hospitable and this is a very nice hotel. Besides being 100 yards from a Hooter's. Highly recommended.

Overall a good stay for the price. Not a lot of attractions or restaurants nearby but I was there for business purpose so not a lot of time for sight seeing. Bed was a little uncomfortable but adjusted after first night. Staff was friendly. Only complaint was there was no hot water on my last day. I would stay again

We were in St. Louis over the MLK holiday weekend. We were visiting our daughter and were looking for a new place to stay as the previous one used was getting expensive and the quality had slipped. We were very pleased with the La Quinta Inn in Maryland Heights. The beds were really hard and covered with down pillows/blanket. Most people like that, but I'm very allergic and they were not able to provide any alternatives. Other than that, the room was a good size, and the water pressure in the shower was great. It's right next door to a convenience store so that's handy.

We are satisfied with the hotel. I have only one question: I have seen people with pets in the hoel, I hope the hotel keeps the rooms that they allow pets separate from the regular rooms.

The help was fantastic, good breakfast and great service. Everyone had a smile and went out of their way to help.

Wireless, fridge, microwave, convenience call that we found the room okay, breakfast... you really could not ask for more. One of the tenants I think broke the rules and brought a dog in that made a mess of their very nice carpeted floor. An attendant noticed it right away and took care of the mess. Very spacious lobby and they gave us toothbrushes […] and toothpaste at no extra charge when we asked for it. What else can you ask for? Mehr

The hotel was overall a very good deal. Nice, clean, comfortable, basic rooms. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Would stay there again if in the area.

The hotel is located next to a convenience store which was "convenient". The breakfast area is very nice and had a typical waffle bar with cereal, fruit, etc. The hotel shows a little wear but seems to be well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful and hotel is well located on the 270/Page Hwy interchange.

We really enjoyed our stay at the La Quinta Inn and Suites St Louis Westport. The staff is very, very helpful and friendly, the room was great (clean, comfortable), the breakfast was very nice (boiled eggs, waffles, muffins, coffee, juices, cereal, etc). It's about 20/25 minutes by car to downtown St Louis, but it's very easy to get there by car. I'd […] definitely stay there again! Mehr

It was clean the first two nights, I extended my stay for one night and they did not bother to do my room. No fresh towels, no bed maid nothing. I got in late in the evening and there was no help even though I called the Front Desk. Was charged the full amount for the room and when I protested they adjusted the Bill $9.00 The hotel personal leave a […] lot to be desired, in fact with one exception they are just plain rude and do not have a very good attitude. Very nice hotel and at an excellent price!!! Room was very clean, comfortable temp, and very large which was nice! The breakfast was WONDERFUL! Had everything from cereal, to bagels, to fruit, to boiled eggs and a make your own waffle station! Will for sure stay again if in that area!

The hotel is very nice and the rooms were clean. We had BBQ sauce on the ceiling that could have been cleaned off. The noise from the other rooms was not appreciated. We picked this hotel because of the outdoor pool and the pool was very dirty and then closed the second day because the pool wasn't safe. First time to St. Louis for family vacation, we pull up to the front door of the motel and were very pleased that we had booked such a beautiful place! The front desk was understaffed, but very pleasant and took care of us as quickly as possible. Upon entering the room, we were, again, very pleased. The beds were clean and comfortable. Convenience store […] and a restaurant right next door. By the end of our stay we were very unpleased with the housekeeping and condition of the bathroom. Room 127 needs help! First morning, we realized there was not enough towels for showers. Upon return that evening, only one bed was made but we had the right amount of fresh towels. We also received more soap and body gel (we did not need more, as we had our own). Second evening, neither bed was made and we had more towels than we needed and even MORE soaps and gels, etc. scattered on the counter! We think we were in err in not placing a postcard on the beds if we wanted them made, so that's excusable, but common sense should tell these workers that if there are unused items remaining you don't need to add to it - especially when the counter is already full of personal items. This may sound a little picky, but the fixtures in and around the bathroom do need attention and I wouldn't stay in that room unless you inspect it first. Breakfast.... Not good. Better cleaning of the containers and care of the food. Waffle iron didn't cook thoroughly. We only ate there every morning b/c it was free, but were not satisfied at all with the quality. Again, not enough staff during breakfast - it was a busy motel and they should have been better staffed. Pool was small but nice and we used it every day. Mehr

A La Quinta in Wisconsin that is well maintained gave me confidence that La Quinta had completely shed the old issues it had with quality. The La Quinta Westport in St. Louis is not bad, but the rundown elevators, especially, let you know that for this hotel to compete with Drury, Hampton, et. al., it is going to have to be refurbished.

We stayed here 2 years ago and the hotel was much cleaner then compared to this current visit. Public areas need to be put on the cleaning schedule-- windows in lobby were disgusting by the breakfast area, and there was what looked like dried ketchup on the floor of the elevator for our entire stay. Trash by pool/smoking area was not emptied for 2 […] days and was overflowing the can. Room cleanliness was acceptable. The first one we checked into smelled musty and sour- so they moved us right away with no problems. We're not complainers and that was the first time we ever asked to move from a room. The second room was better- I think it had been a smoking room but no musty smell. Hotel is a very convenient location to get to all areas of St Louis. Area is nice- mostly businesses/warehouses. The convenience store just next door made filling up with gas easy to do before heading out in the mornings. Free breakfast was okay- waffles, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, muffins, fruit, yogurt and toast/bagels every day. If you're staying for very long some variety would have been nice. The staff was very courteous, but the room obviously had pets in it earlier. The bathroom could have been cleaner. I noticed pet hair on the floor in different places.

Comfortable king-size bed, and quiet facility made my stay very enjoyable.

Good for price. Breakfast had limited choices for those who can not eat grains or wheat products. Internet did not work in room which was inconvenient. Hotel staff was pleasant

Hotel was quiet, clean, and close to downtown (30 minutes during rush hour). The bed was firm like I require. I will stay there on my next business trip.

The room we stayed in was across the hall from smoking rooms, even though ours was a designated non-smoking room. Obviously, the smoke traveled into our room and was quite offensive. Also, one of the bedspreads had a couple of cigarette burns in it. This bedspread stunk like smoke, of course. We were told the hotel will soon be changing the location […] of the smoking rooms to all be on one floor. In the meantime, we suggest washing the bedspreads separately, as well as keeping the smoking rooms more closed up by having the bottom of the doors closed up better, perhaps with the kind of items used to keep cold air in and/or out. Though the condition was rough and the beds were too hard, you can't beat that price. Good if you just need a place to sleep. You get what you pay for.

Comfortable room with VERY comfortable beds. Shelves, flooring, etc. need a bit of TLC but it served our purpose well. Bring your GPS device because no information is provided in-room about nearby restaurants and it's in an area filled with office buildings. Would definitely stay there again.

My only problem with this hotel was the cleanliness of the room. My sheets were suspect; however, I did not complain as they were not gross or anything...just a few hairs. Trash can liners would have been nice. Cleaning off the counter when nearly everything was off of it during the day and picking up the trash on the floor which was there when I checked […] in would have been good. Overall...a few good experience. Perhaps a housekeeping supervisor should be more diligent in checking up after his/her staff. Mehr

We live in Calif. and travel quite a bit. We cherish the customer reviews because we always look for deals that are still of our standards. I can say this met all expectations. Housekeeping terrific. The gym was smaller, but serves its purpose. Breakfast satisfied our morning hunger. Front desk help was friendly and knew the area(s) well. I like the […] free internet in the lobby. Most important we were on the first floor near parking lot and didn't hear a peep all night. A good night's sleep. For the price, can't be it. Mehr

Hotel shuttle did not seem to be running the two days of my stay, but the hotel called and paid for a taxi instead - very fair treatment. Rooms were very large and clean; bed comfortable with about a half dozen pillows. There's a quick stop gas station next door and then a Hooter's. Not much else within walking distance, though some shopping center […] is a 5 minute taxi ride away. Internet worked fine. Breakfast was simple. Only complaints were that the coffee at breakfast was ridiculously weak - so weak I thought it was tea or something at first - and that at many times there seemed to be nobody at the front desk. However, when people were there they were reasonably friendly. I would stay here again. Mehr

Hotel was great. Very clean and a new hotel it seems. Convenient location. Neighborhood was very quiet, far from highway to get any noise, but was easily accessible.

It was one of the first severely cold times of the year in St. Louis, but I did have a little trouble getting my room comfortably warm. By the second day, I was comfortable. Otherwise, all was fine and I very much liked this hotel. I will plan to stay again on a future trip.

The staff was very accomodating and I was surprised that the room was so nice for the price. I was pleasantly surprised!

This hotel was great and a great value.

Hotel was clean, bed was comfortable, front desk clerk was cheerful. Continental breakfast was typical of most hotels. Nothing fancy. Would like to see more options for protein in these breakfasts. It's mostly all sugary sweet carbs. Price was affordable. I was suprised at how nice the hotel was for the price. Got a good night's sleep. Would stay here […] again on my next trip. Mehr

The hotel was lovely on the outside, but didn't shine on the inside. Room was battered and bruised, although it was pretty clean. Although 2 adults and 2 kids were booked to my room, we were consistently left only 3 bath towels, and the housekeeping staff was stingy with additional towels. Breakfast was great, with a good variety. Gym was not worth […] the effort. Weight machine was barely usable and one treadmill did not even read the correct speed. Pool was nice, but would be better if it opened earlier for lap swimming only. Room internet was a slow hard-line connection and connected to an outlet that went on and off with a switch. Location in Westport could not have been better. Close to dining and highway access. Mehr

Very accommodating and nice hotel to stay in. The pool area was very nice along with the lobby area.

Only issues I noticed, no clean towels in room, had to ask for and clean towels at pool not kept stocked up. Other than that all was good. Response from front desk was good.
