This place had a very convenient location-it was right across the street from a mall with a decent restaurant on one side and a police station on the other. The hotel itself was a little bit shabby but the rooms were all newly carpeted and renovated. As I checked into the hotel the front desk person kept telling me how I would have gotten a better rate through them if I would've called. I found this to be a bit rude. The room was clean but out of date. Furniture in the room was old and stained. The bed was comfortable and had 4 pillows. The TV stand was off to the side and we had to turn it so we […] could watch tv in bed. The neighborhood didn't seem the best but it is right next to a police station. I was expecting it as low end hotel. When I went their, I realized that it it more than I expected. Hotel is good, Room and fixtures looks brand new. My Kids enjoyed the breakfast. Staff was good. We were in town for a wedding and were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable our room was. Very clean and updated bathroom, with a friendly hotel staff. We highly recommend - especially for the price!

The motel was very clean and seemed to be well-maintained. The continental breakfast was average fare. The rooms are small; it's the kind of place you basically use just for sleeping.

"Great Customer Service"
We arrived early in the day but were checked in cheerfully. After a long day visiting with family and friends, we returned back to our room and relaxed in a clean and comfortable room. Very clean throughout the hotel and nicely decorated. The staff treated us warmly and couldn't have been nicer. The next morning the entire city of Alamogordo had a 10 […] minute blackout. The manager handled all calls, and I am sure there were many, with a cheerful explination. The thing I was most impressed with was how the manager handled the kids that she caught running through the halls. Though there were customers calling the front desk complaining about this, she spoke to the boys about courtesy and how that people were trying to sleep. The boys tried to argue back with her but she just repeated that they should not be running down the halls and they should be respectful of others. I was very impressed. The only thing I would improve on the hotel is that the breakfast area was very cramped. The hotel was booked full and there was no room to get around in the breackfast area. I selected this hotel based on online reviews and I was not disappointed. This is not a luxury hotel, but it was the nicest Super 8 I've ever stayed at. It has been updated nicely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a small hotel with all interior rooms so I was never concerned for my safety. It was easy to access the local attractions from this location and the front desk offered helpful suggestions for local dining and site-seeing. "Excellent hotel"
This is the best hotel we have stayed at in the past 3 weeks here in the usa. Clean comfortable beds, great staff especially victor, the guy in charge,..who could not do enough for us...great breakfast and free wifi...i will definitely be staying at super 8 again

"Recently refurbished - much improved"
I have stayed there before, it's a lot better now. The reburb was thorough, not just 'a lick and a promise'. While it is still a Super 8 with the standard Super 8 amenities, its better than many other Super 8 properties I've stayed at. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good value. Motel is newly renovated, beds are pretty comfortable. Noise outside of room can be heard within motel, although never created problems. Staff is very accommodating. One complaint - too much furniture in our room with a king bed. Would be more comfortable and spacious with less.

This hotel (while a 2-star) was much better than expected. Just completed a weekend in NM and stayed here, which is a few miles outside of the 'hotel zone' where most of the other places were in Alamogordo. "Super 8 in Alamogordo, NM"
We recently stayed at this hotel in Alamogordo. We were visiting our son and his wife. Our son is stationed at Holloman AFB so we basically just needed a place to sleep at night. The hotel was very clean and very comfortable. The room was just perfect for our needs and the staff was friendly and helpful. The stay there was quiet without lots of loud […] visitors stomping up and down the hallways. The hotel was close to almost everything you could want in Alamogordo and the price was very reasonable. "Needs some improvement"
The rooms are laid out in a funny fashion. I had a room with two queen sized beds and the desk at the far wall was abutting the bed. Also the TV is in a cabinet that only allows the one bed (Nearest the wall) to see the tv. Minor problem but when you pay for a hotel room you kind of expect some thought to have gone into the layout of the room. "White Sands Vacation"
This hotel is really close to the park and makes for a great stay if you're either going to or heading from Carlsbad Caverns. You have to take a ride through the mountains anyway to see Cloudcroft, which is simply beautiful. The hotel had a deck of cards for us to play and the morning FREE breakfast was good. The breakfast was the best thing about staying at this Super 8. Had yogurt, fresh fruit, milk, juice, and waffle maker. Not bad for price.
