Unser Wunsch, nach einem ruhigeren Zimmer, wurde leider nicht erfüllt. Der Hotelier bot uns nur eine Suite, gegen hohen Aufpreis an. Sonst alles Standard, Zimmer recht klein.
Lage
Super 8 Hagerstown Halfway liegt in Hagerstown. Folgende Sehenswürdigkeit befindet sich in der Umgebung: Maryland Theater. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten der Region gehört Folgendes: Whitetail Ski Resort.
Ausstattung

"clean quiet comfortable"
easy to find off i81 exit, located right near tractor trailer lot, but quiet. one mile to shopping mall/ plaza, lots of food choices. wouldnt call it walk-to but quick drive . will stay again when in the area. needed a pet room, and it smelled a little of disinfectant, but not unpleasant.

"Halfway Super 8"
Room was nice, beds wern't very big. Room smelled of smoke although we booked a non-smoking room. Traveled with small dog, she didn't seem to mind the hotel. Very quiet for being next to truck stop.
"Very convenient to I-81, clean and quiet"
We stayed one night as a quick overnight on our drive from Florida to Maine. Very close to the highway, gas station and McDonalds right next door. It is not a scenic location. It overlooks a work site and a truck stop. However, it was affordable, clean and quiet.

This is a very plain vanilla hotel. Clean room, basic amenities, nice deskperson, but it's located right by a truck depot and lacks anything other than the basics. It seemed a little pricey to me for the value. If you need a bare-bones place, it's fine.
"Not Fancy but Functional"
Good basic stop off spot on your way through. Rooms are clean and staff helpful. Breakfast is below average by today's standards even at this price range.
"Nice place on the Highway"
We had a overnight halt on the way from Washington DC to West Virginia...we booked the non-smoking double twin bedroom...Also recommended for v=crib for my 1 year old boy...they had room really clean..only glitch was that it initially had smoking smell (probably some one would have smoked outside)...later we did not feel it...everything was really nice […] on the room and breakfast on the morning was also excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Mehr

"Just Because"
Just because we had a hotel reservation for 2 non-smoking rooms at this Motel it means nothing as this is a special request and does not have to be offered. Had to run out and purchase items to lessen the smoke smell in the room. Used the toilet - it got stopped up- called desk they said they had a plunger and to go pick it up. I guess I have finally […] outgrown my staying at Super 8's as I will not stay here, or at any Super 8 again - sorry guys. Mehr

"Nice Bargain"
Good location - on opposite side of exit from mall. Everything was great. Only slightly negative thing - wifi is somewhat slow.
"Excellent 1 nite stop over in Hagerstown"
This Super 8 did just what we need: A safe, clean, and friendly place to spend a night. Breakfast was ok but not special. Ask for room on back side away from Truck depot. We were not disturbed, but arrived late. Staff very friendly.

The room was clean, nice room. It is next to a truck stop so you might want to take some ear plugs if you are light sleepers. Didn't really bother us though. It was easy to find and a good value. Would recommend if you are passing through.

"Staff was welcoming and very helpful"
We really appreciated the warmth and sincerity of the hard-working front desk staff. Allowing us to stay with our dog was a big plus. We would definitely stay there again.

"MAy be ok for truckers passing through"
I stayed with my wife and 7 month old boy and it just wasnt what we needed, they dont really have anything to do there so we had a hard time keeping out son entertained in just the room. It was located right next to a truck stop so I assume that is mostly who they cater to so in that sense its a fine motel, but I wouldnt recommend for traveling fam […] ilies. Mehr
"Great affordable place to stop on roadtrip"
Needed a place to crash while passing through - reviews for this hotel were good, and it was affordable, so we gave it a shot. Checked in late, desk staff was super friendly. Room was clean & quiet. "VERY NICE"
NICE, CLEAN AND CONVENIENT. STAFF WAS EXCELLENT. ROOM WAS QUIET AND HAD NO PROBLEM SLEEPING.
"Comfortable stay for the price."
This hotel far exceeded our expectations. We arrived later in the evening and the desk clerk (Chris) was wonderful. We were passing thru on our way to Kentucky, driving a UHaul, and were concerned about leaving it in the parking lot. Chris showed us the security cameras that were keeping an eye on the parking area, to reassure us. He also delivered […] extra pillows and an ironing board and iron to our room. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was your typical assortment of cold cereals, juices and breads. The attendants kept the area stocked and clean. "Unexpected things throw this hotel..."
Queen beds are for disabled rooms. If you are not disabled they will be upset if you have reserved a queen room.

I was surprised, it was a very nice place to stay. I would stay there anytime.

The only negative was there was no elevator and bags had to be carried upstairs to second floor rooms.
