Super 8 Harrington De - Harrington

We usually stay at the AmericInn when we go to Harrington, but made reservation too late and they were booked. We were a little leery about booking the Super 8 but it was a very pleasant surprise. Very handy, they had free shuttle to/from casino, room was clean and roomy. Nothing fancy - but for overnite visit to casino price was great!!

My wife and I were very disappointed! First let me start by saying that I think it very unprofessional for the desk clerk to address guests as honey, babe, sweety or anything other than my name or sir. I found that to be a little disrespectful. She may a real nice person but again, unprofessional. Now as to the room. OMG!!! If my home looked like this […] I wouldn't invite anyone over. There were large stains on the carpet. The popcorn ceiling was peeeling at several nail heads. The bathroom caulking was either nonexistant or peeling. The base board behind the toilet was popping off the wall and the nails were all rusting and it hadn't been painted. I mean really, we didn't expect Top Notch at Stowe but DAAAAMN! The room was reasonably clean, they change the sheets every other day. The housekeeper kept re-setting the room to their normal set up(table and chair squezed together in the corner) instead of leaving it the way I was using them. Everytime I came back to the room I had to re-arrange the furniture just so I could sit and use my laptop at the table. The […] breakfast was as good as most of the inexpensive hotels and motels I stay at while travelling on business. All in all it was a good value. Mehr

Prices are very reasonable and you get what you pay for. Not a place to stay for comfort or features. O.K. if you don't expect much.

I don't know where to start, other than to say that I was VERY disappointed in the overall cleaniness of the room. The floors were very unswept, the smell was terrible, especially in the bathroom. The linens were disqusting; soiled and gross. I discovered that there wasn't a clock/radio in the room; called down to front desk, they were not able to supply […] me with one. The cable went out very early in the evening, never to come back on, even at check out time...still no cable, radio, or clock. I was working on an out of state client via internet, only to lose the connection due to outage of service, so therefore, compromised a business matter. Nice motel, reasonable, friendly people, clean w/breakfast; easy to find - on alternate route from Rehobeth to Annapolis.

Watch out for speed traps in the area

This was my second visit to this location, which was not as nice as the first do to being on the second floor with no elevator. This room was also w/o an iron or full ironing board. I would return but request better accomodations.

As Harrington is not necessarily the center of the Universe, for the price paid, I expected a clean, non-smelling room. This is not what I got as the room had a stale, smoky flavor. I would not have stayed, if I would have had an option, which I did not this specific day.
