the hotel was old and very run down. the outside area was messy and unkept. the inside smelled old and musty. the pool and hot tub were not very clean. the next day we left the sign on the door to have our room clean and when we returned our room had not been touched. we had no clean towels and our bed had not been made. the other guest were very loud […] and running up and down the hall all hours of the night. the sheets on our bed were very stained. when i complained they just blew me off. overall i would not ever stay there again and i would not suggest this hotel to anyone. I have stayed at this super 8 before and did not have any problems how ever this is the last time that i will stay there. the breakfast was not good and the cleanliness was horrible. The night we got there our room was not clean, I spoke to the desk clerk when we found a used condom under the edge of the bed and she said they would take care of it and […] when we got back that evening the room still had not been cleaned to the standards that I believe it should have been. And if I could have got my money back I would have gone somewhere else. It was the worse trip ever, the only tihing we got out of this trip was the birth of our new granddaughter. Beds are so hard you cannot sleep . ask for A iron and it did not work.

Older hotel. Room had a funky smell. Found a roach in the bathroom first time we went in. Overall, not impressed when I can find a nice hotel for about $5 or $10 more per night.

My first night I was in my room after working in the area for 8 hrs and out of the blue someone called my room at 1:27 am. The person was obviously drunk. Then as I was trying to sleep around 2:15 am one of the other guests was banging on the door directly accross the hall from me yelling "let me in". I got up got dressed and slowly opened my door and […] suggested "maybe they're not home". I said I really need my sleep and he said "I'm sorry" who allows this kind of behavior? My entire stay there was some kind of disturbances. I finally packed my stuff and left. It was after 4:30 am. Friday morning. I came back home and had to get up at 8:00am to drive back to the hotel to check out on time. I don't think I'll ever stay at ANY super8 ever again. I tried to get internet access and I couldn't get it to go through. Mehr

This hotel was disgusting. The minute I walked in the room I was overcome by the awful odor. The room had not be cleaned properly. We found a pacifier, a bottle top, and Advil tablets on the floor. The carpet stained our socks, and it left a sticky residue on anything that touched it.

Went for a visit with relatives, great place to stay. Room was clean, all employees were very friendly.

We were very impressed with the hotel and our room, the service, everything was great. I was nervous about staying at a budget hotel, but it turned out to be a wonderful experience...I would definately stay there again!

We found this hotel by searching for Gainsville, TN and ended going a little out of our way to get there. Not really a big deal, but it added about an extra 2-3 hours on our journey as a result. The only issue we had with the hotel was when we got into the room, my oldest son (8) was exploring the room and found a peanut butter jar and a donut on the […] floor behind the dresser. It really wasn't a huge deal, and the front desk staff didn't really seem to care either since no one came to clean it up, but with a two year old it could have been a problem if he discovered it. Otherwise, the hotel was great!! Mehr

The air conditioner leaked water onto the carpet. Other than getting my soaks soaking wet when I stood in front of the window it was no big deal. We have stayed here many times on business delivery trips

The sheets in one rm. had burn holes in them. We were not left with any clean glasses or liner for ice bucket. The tolet in the one rm. had a large black ring around it where it had leaked. The beds, however, were comfortable.

It's value for money for those who intends to shop at the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall.

I was not satisfied. I felt that the condition was substandard.

I travel a good bit. I generally stay in nicer hotels if you equate price with how nice they are. This trip, we were on the way for a hiking trip on the appalachain trail. We thought it odd to stay in an expensive hotel and then sleep on the ground the next night. We picked this place. It is a value hotel. It was clean enough for myself and my daughter […] to go right to sleep in without fear of something running across us in the night. I would even stay here again even if I was not on a hiking trip. I'd give Motel 8 a 7. I hope this helps. Mehr

Clean. Friendly. Accommodating. Pool exceptional. The staff A+ over all would recommend to anyone to stay at this property; and to make it even more appealing is the price. Close to Helen, GA. Babyland general (cabbage patch) north.Georgia mtns. Check it out

Overall for the price not bad, the phone jack didn't work nor did the alarm clock but other than that it smelled like deodorizer, but it was clean and firendly, the pool and jacuzzi were clean and available, occassionally we heard our neighbors upstairs talking at night like the just got back from somewhere, but we happy for the price.

The manager/owner was very polite and accomodating. I would definitely stay ther again for the convenience and hospitality shown.

The folks staffing the front desk were very friendly and helpful. I appreciated their enthusiasm and concern for my comfort. I also appreciated that the hotel is fairly new, so everything was clean and in good working order. My only complaint was that my room had a very strong odor of room deodorizer- possibly used on the carpet. I was glad to be able […] to open the window slightly for fresh air to dilute the smell. Once the room is cleaned, the use of deodorizer or any chemical fragrance seems unnecessary. Overall, my stay was satisfactory at this hotel and I would stay there again. Mehr

We last stayed here about 2 years ago but had decided to no longer stay there as the rooms just weren't clean and nice enough. When looking for a hotel room recently, I decided to read the reviews and was surprised to read how pleased folks are with the hotel. I booked a room and we, too, were quite pleased. The Hilton it is not; but it is updated and […] quite clean. The personnel have always been most pleasant and very willing to help in any way. Cons: the room spay was too strong; the bed is ok, and there was no decaf coffee either in the room or at the breakfast. Only upon leaving did I learn that it is at the front desk and has to be asked for. That being said, I would still recommend this hotel and will stay here again. Great value for the money. Mehr

I wish they would get decent hotels in this area. We come here every year for girls shopping trip and out of the 3 hotels that are close to the shopping outlets, ALL of them are discusting. So in turn you have to select the least discusting one. The super 8 was ok. It appeared clean but there was a odd odor in the hotel hallway and room. Like the carpets […] needed a good cleaning. And I am not really sure how clean you can get mauve colored sheets. You can't bleach them. The only thing that eased my mind about staying in this hotel is the fact that I went next door to the mexican resturant and had a couple of margaritas so then I didn't care so much if the room had mauve sheets or a weird smell. Better luck next year. I will be looking forward to the mexican resturant. :) Mehr

This is the 7th yr we have stayed at this motel. Love it the owner and staff are great. For the price you can't go wrong. Centrally located to all sorts of sightseeing. The beds are comfortable and the room was clean.

Hotel staff was very friendly. The only problems was the hotel hallways reeked of smoke and hot water was not hot even on all hot.
