was very comfortable but maintenance problem we had in the bathroom left a negative feeling on quality of motel. the shower head would not turn off totally and when we reported it to the front desk the clerk acted like he didnt care one bit that it was wasting water and running up the operating costs for the hotel. this was reported on the second day […] of our stay and when we left 2 days later it was still not fixed. other than this problem allthe stuff offered by the hotel was good. My biggest dissappointment was the communication between the Corp Office & the actual Hotel itself. I went out of my way to call ahead to make sure they took pets. Corp office called the hotel and they assurred me that yes, they took pets. Upon check in I was informed NO PETS along with seeing a NO PETS sign. EXTREMELY POOR communication. Our stay was very enjoyable. The room and ameneties were comparable to those in more upscale places we frequent at considerably less cost.

Clerk checking us in did not tell us where the ice machine was. He was markedly un-friendly. Our room was just above the lobby and the lobby television ran late at night and early in the morning. Breakfast was terrible. Waffle batter was too thick to pour and top was left half off syrup, causing it to spill on the table, floor, and us. very surprised how uncomfortable the beds were. took a shower & there was a spider in the shower. a daddy long legs. really didn't want to taking showers with critters. pillows were very lumpy. Room is Ok if your not there very long for the price.

This hotel was about what we expected for the price. Nothing fancy but clean and quiet. The only downer was that the lock on the entrance door on the West end of the building did not function half the time. The manager did tell us about it at check-in. He said the lock is old and doesn't always function. My question is: if the manager knew it was old […] and didn't always function, why didn't they replace it with a new lock? Very close to many things in KC. Used the room to spend the night before a Cheifs game. Hotel attendent was very strange person. Room was so-so clean, but it worked. Breakfast was slim pickings.

Hair ! on two towels hanging in the bathroom, garbage in the trash can. Rude staff, wireless internet only works in certain spots. Security Doors propped open with rocks because locks are broken. Stay next door for a few bucks more !

I only have a few complaints about this hotel. First let me say that the price was really good and the location (being pretty much right across the street from Worlds of Fun) was really nice. My first complaint is that when I went to check in, the front desk employee didn't act like he really wanted to be there. That is all fine and dandy as I understand […] not wanting to be at a job but when your job is to greet people and get them checked in you should at least fake being somewhat positive towards those customers. Second, also when I checked in, the front desk employee did not mention if there was a password for the wi-fi internet connection nor did he mention where the pool for the hotel was located. As for the wi-fi password I had been driving pretty much all day and didn't think to ask about it until I got to my room - on the 3rd floor. So I had to go all the way back down to ask. Finding the pool in a hotel isn't generally all that difficult a task either but when I checked in I didn't even notice any signs pointing to it or even mentioning the pool. So my family and I had to look around just a little bit. My next complaint was that each bed had only two pillows and the pillows were pretty skinny. Space in our car was kind of a premium so we only brought with us one extra pillow per kid meaning my wife and I didn't have any extra pillows for ourselves so we had to make do with a skinny pillow. My last complaint was that the room had pests. Only two mind you but even two pests is 2 too many. One was a beetle of some sort and not really all that big of a deal. However the other one was a spider and both my wife and I hate spiders. I have no idea what kind of spider it was but it showed up in the really tiny bathroom while my wife was taking a shower. All I know is I heard her scream for me and so when I opened up the bathroom door not knowing that the spider was crawling up the inside of the shower curtain, the gust of air from opening the door made the spider Mehr

Definitely an older motel. Had an issue with some ants in the room. Had to move to another room. Best part was the location to Worlds of Fun. Wouldn't stay there again.

Hotel was located in a great location, with that said not a fan. Far from clean and terrible service.

It was awesome to be so close to the parks! The hotel has a nice clean pool and I was thrilled the rooms had a refridgerator and microwave. Everyone that works there was very friendly and helpful.

At check-in the lady at the front desk was very unfriendly and short. I did not even get a "hello, how are you". Check-out was the same way. Not one person who worked there was ever friendly. Customer Service was very poor! The hotel was clean enough for the money I guess, but had a bad smell to it. There was extra pillows in the room which was nice […] but the light in the bathroom did not work and when I called the front desk, they were again very short and no one ever came up to change the bulb. I will be choosing another place to stay next time even if I have to spend a little more money. Mehr

We were looking for something close to the casino, basically a place to lay our heads, but ended up with a very nice and cozy room for the money on a generally very busy Valentines weekend.

This hotel has great location for WOF and the casinos. Our room type that we had reserved was all checked out, but we were upgraded to a nicer room for the same price. The room was clean. Breakfast items were gone, but staff restocked area as soon as we let them know they needed more. We were soaked from rain at WOF and staff helped us with quarters […] for laundry service. In a nice way, you get what you pay for: a clean room, clean linens, cable tv, basically a very clean basic room. Great place to stay and if we go back we will definately check here first!! Mehr

The Non-smoking room I ordered turned out to be a smoking room. The hallways were filled with smoke and the room was choking me from how smokey it was. It was a horrible room and we left for another hotel. I do not recommend this to any non-smoker. The staff was rude when they found out I was unhappy and I told them I would not stay.

this hotel is crap.

picked this hotel d/t the location. only came to KC for Worlds of Fun. If you don't plan on spending much time in the hotel, this is a great place to stay. however, if you do plan on spending time, i'd suggest someplace different. there were holes in the sheets and broken spring in the mattress. however, considering the price, it's good. the continental […] breakfast wasn't much to brag about, but it was free and that's all the matters.
