Relax Inn - Franklin

Not at all what was advertised. The hotel missed our morning wake up call. When we asked for a comment card the 3rd shift attendant ripped a scrap piece of paper and handed it to me. Not the service, facilities, or quality I receive at other hotels with the same rating. We would actively recommend against this hotel.

Well I can stay after 35 years of travel this was the worst place to ever stay. Let me explain how well you set us up for a night with this motel. 1. We checked in and was given our room keys #113. 2. We went to our Room #113 and yes the key worked great. But as we went in there was a man sitting on the bed eating. 3. We apologized to this man and […] went to the front desk. We told them what happened. The one manager blamed the other and so on. 4. Then they gave us another room. #111. But before we walked down the manager said he better check this room first. Good thought I said. 5. Well he came back and said no, not a good room, someone else was in there. Yes I know can't believe this can you. 6. So we were given room #113 and yes they also had to see if this was open. It was and also was a handy cap room. Which we didn't need. 7. The first room occupied by the strange man, he came down to the lobby and asked if it is normal for any room key to open any room. Good question, I would say. So there you go. You tell me if you would have enjoyed this motel. Have a nice day and I trust you received your commission on booking this for us. Mehr

Reserved a non-smoking room, we were given a smoking room and told no non-smoking rooms were available. Room smelled like there had been an all night card game. We had to buy a plug-in room air freshener to tolerate it. Pool had been closed for months for required safety repairs. It was an adequete place to sleep, not much more.

The young lady behind the desk was wonderful, when we arrived on Friday evening find out tthe pool was not in working condition and the whole reason I picked this location was it had a indoor pool for my nephews whom was going to be staying the night. She was so kind to call the Quality Inn across the street to see if they had any rooms which they did, […] therefore I was able to cancel my room with no charge and rebook next door for my brother and his family. I have never had a front desk person be so kind and willing to be so helpful. Mehr

The staff are upbeat and helpful. The room, bedding and furnishings were dated, but clean. The beds were comfortable and the shower worked fine. The carpet is worn, but again, clean. Morning breakfast was included: self serve cereals, milk, juices, pastries and "make your own" waffles. We arrived late night and departed early morning For a quick stay, […] the hotel is clean, comfortable and a very reasonable price. If you are looking for a hotel for several days, this might not be the idea place if you want to "hang out" at the property The pool is closed and the rooms are not attractive or inviting. Room was Ok, crack in sink, only shampoo for 1 but we brought our own anyway, staff was polite and helpful, second day they didn't leave any cups in room and killed a roach scurrying down the hall. The pool was great, wireless internet worked great, but all in all it was OK and since we came to have Thanksgiving with family it was just a place to sleep, […] check email, shower and the like. A lot of fast food within a block if that is important and a efrigerator in the room to hold leftovers piled upon us. Mehr

The rate was very low. The hotel is old, but the room was clean and met our needs. The TV reception was fuzzy in the heavy rain, but the front desk reset it with just a phone call. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast far exceeded expectations. I'll stay there again.

Room was fine. Some reviews were overly critical. Room was clean, temperature control was good, bed was quite satisfactory. TV could have something besides cop shows, but I didn't come to Franklin to watch TV anyway. Tub and shower were clean, towels fresh. A night light in the bathroom would be nice for us older folks. Our room was nice. We were traveling with our high school sports team. In one of the girls rooms they found dirty undergarments in the bathroom. The kids enjoyed the pool. We rented about 8 rooms for one night.

Arrived late. Room was sufficiently clean and comfortable. Nothing more. Hotel was very worn out, but serviceable. If you're staying cheap, it will work. If you really want to fully relax, you might want to look elsewhere. Had plenty of room in an adjoining parking lot (Howard Johnson) for my truck and 14 ft trailer.
