Ocean Manor Beach Hotel - Fort Lauderdale

we did not get any of our request, had to pay $7.00/night for parking plus $10.00/day for resort fee and end up paying $20.00/night to switch to ocean view room. while at room we had construction going on, so the room was getting visited by construction workers to fix a door in the unit.

The lobby and the pool area were ok, but my room was partially remodeled, need urgently update. I found the floor full of water, the walls need paint and the door need to be replaced. I requested to change the room, but they said that they has no available for that night. I noticed that some rooms are totally remoleded.

I will never ever go back. Hotel was still under construction and also I had to buy cleaning stuff for the room and bathroom

Definitely needs renovations, the beds were not comfortable at all. Tha AC made noices throughout the whole night waking us up. Even one of the towels had a whole.

Upon arriving at the Ocean Manor Beach Resort we were greeted by very rude valet staff. We were advised that there were no handicapped parking spaces close to the building, which we needed, and were gonna have to pay for a parking pass and valet services. The front desk staff lacked friendliness. They were very blunt and never smiled once. We were given […] a Winn Dixie shopping cart to get our things to our room. Our room was still dirty from the previous guests. It took four hours and two requests to have it cleaned. After that it was still not all the way clean, Tv had dust and mirrors had hand prints from previous guests all over it. Room never really felt clean. Bathroom ceiling had mold on it and the toilet had to be flushed several times to work. Room lacked extra outlets for our personal things. The hallway and elevator areas were dirty, outdated and hallways stunk of smoke. Pool and Tiki bar area were nice, but food orders took too long to come back. Overall impression is that this hotel needs desperate upgrading, cleaning, sanitizing and a more friendly staff. Will not return. Mehr

Hotel was very clean. I would definitely stay there again. The lobby and ammenities were nice.

Person at the check in did not notify me that the deposit of 100$ would take longer to give back if i used a debit card now i am going to be broke for 5-6 days, And on top of everything i had a messed up door that was REALLY hard to lock from the outside in.

Hotel smelled very badly so many hidden fees shower was nasty u choose hot or cold water homeless ppl surrounded the hotel just didn't like it at all rip off

The room has a mold smell, carpet was dirty have stains all over. At soon as you walk into the room the first thing you see is a glass armoire with a big hand written sign "out of order" and cover with blue tape… There was no hot water only luke warm… the room has no blinds so at 7:00 AM you have the sun light on your face.. don't even think on sleeping […] late!!!! The people were nice enough and the location was great but: The rooms are old and in need of repair They charged extra for parking They charged extra for use of the pool area They will put a $100 charge on your card for a security deposit and return it about a week later.

When we checked in our shower was broken, I notified the front desk that night and the next morning. Twi days later I had to speak to the manager and someone finally came at 8:30pm on the third day, 24 hours later it broke again. We were told we would be compensated but when we checked out all the clerk said he could do was take off the $50 resort fee. […] Not much of a compensation for three days with no shower. Also too many hidden charges, like mandatory valet service for $7 a day and having to ask for towels our wait for them because maid said she didn't have any clean ones. Overall a very poor experience and would never go back our recommend it. Mehr

Our 4th visit to this hotel, right on the beach. Very soft beds. Hopefully, the balconies will open again soon, as well as the pool elevator, once rennovations finished. Very friendly valet service...very happy with location. Would tell others to stay here.

This hotel is perfect when wanting a cheap room on the waterfront, beach side. The tiki bar offers good food with great drinks, and a short walk to the ocean. Amazingly priced the rooms are not in good condition and the service from the front desk on lacks basic necessities. Forget that the rooms are dirty and uncomfortable. Forget that they tack on additional fees right and left. Do you really want to be in a hotel that turns into a night club filled with drunkards, the oldest profession, and illicit substances? Possibly the worst hotel we'd ever been to.

The bad outweighed the good at this location. Being on the beach was nice, and the surrounding neighborhood was nice. The service was good, but the maintenance was lacking. The hallways and elevator areas were disgusting. There was old food left on a service cart all day. I would not pay full price to stay at the Ocean Manor. I also would not take children […] to stay at the Manor. The pool area was clean, however very close to the tiki bar. Many drunk people using bad language could be heard around the whole area. If we had paid full price I would have demanded a refund and stayed somewhere else. Mehr

My wife and I were looking for a budget friendly hotel on the beach and came across Ocean Manor. It is absolutely nothing like the picture or description. The entire hotel is out of date and very run down and dirty. The hall carpet is disgusting and it smells very old and musty. Our room was very dirty ( cracked tiles, stained toilet and bathtub, vent […] ducts coated in dust, a musty smell filled the room) We thought about changing rooms but the others were just as bad. We paid extra to get an ocean view with balcony but outside the balcony were two huge fans that were so loud you couldn't even here the ocean. Poor hotel customer service as well. It is located several miles away from the shops and restaurants of the main beach area. The only positive was they had really good food at reasonable prices. Mehr

Dump. This place is not well-maintained at all. The lobby is fake show, the rooms and anything above the 1st floor, is in terrible condition and VERY dirty. Paint is coming off walls and ceilings, the room itself was in desperate need of an update and paint-job. Would not recommend this place to anyone I know. The service was half-assed. Valet parking […] was a rip-off and definitely doesn't fit the lacking hotel. Towels at the pool weren't even nice, you had to put a deposit on it (which they would return when you brought the towel back), but the towels were terrible and ripped. Dirty dirty dirty hotel! If you just care about location on the beach this is a great hotel. Housekeeping took our towels in the morning and never gave us new ones. We didn't get towels until evening. They seemed friendly and hotel room was ok. I just booked it for the beach location.

Overall this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I commend the staff on their good work and friendliness but overall the hotel was horrible. I posted an in depth review on tripadvisor but in general the first room I was in had severe mold stains on the ceiling and the light fixtures were stainless finished but are now rust finished. The economy […] rooms are a waste of money. They feature a microwave and a mini fridge. no stove which would be useless unless you travel with pots and pans as well as plates and utensils. I've stayed in the Atlantis in the Bahamas all the way down to the back seat of my car. If it wasn't for the uncomfortable back seat of my rental I would have stayed in the car. Speaking of which, there is valet only, which includes a $7 per day free exclusive of the $7 fee the hotel charges you per day exclusive of the hotels.com price. Enough said. Mehr

Is a nice place, they need to update the room decoration but is very clean and comfortable, everything you need. I live hear in Florida and i have a pool in my house i was looking for something like this the location is perfect.

How hard would it be for their maintenance staff to clean old grout off and then re-caulk? The bathroom was really very bad, nasty and very small! The door to our room would also not latch unless you slammed it and had no security latch (it was on the counter in the room...too many holes in the door for it to stay!) and housekeeping actually left our […] door open for hours while we were out for the day! When I called the front desk I was told "oh yea", so sorry...it won't close right?" Like they knew it was broken! Then there is valet...what a joke! Took forever and besides the "resort charge" that was supposed to cover valet you had an additional charge everyday for valet and you may not self park. in midst of renovation and everything noisy, dusty and sandy ...several newcomers found people already in thier rooms...took two days for the maid to come to clean the room-came at 7:30pm..then left only one towel for two people...sullen manner...the Tokoyo Lounge was closed on Monday..when we got there...and wasnt open on Sunday....The gift shop personnel […] were helpful and friendly....the breakfast at the bar was good...you have to rent beach chairs and umbrella.... We were excited to stay at this hotel. The pictures online looked great, especially for the price. When we got to the room, there was old tile, a fully mirrored wall, an old and dirty bathroom with damp toiletpaper, a stained recliner to watch TV, and 2 double beds that I was almost afraid to sleep in. The best thing about the place is the Tiki bar, […] which was large. We received multiple different rates for the hotel's shuttle service, who stated that they had comparable rates to any cab in town. We took a shuttle where we were going ($30) and took a cab back, which was only $12. The staff (including the valet) was not friendly upon check-in or check-out. Our friend also stayed here and his room was on the 3rd floor and right above the nightclub. The music was so loud at 2am that they called the police for a noise complaint after the front desk would do nothing! This place really is a dump, has very rude staff members, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Mehr

Hotel is in desperate need of repair. Front desk help are rude and not helpful. Wait stafff is poor. They automatically add 18% gratuity to every check. Wait staff don't deserve any tip in my opinion. Will never stay here again. Owner is non-responsive to customer complaints. No one is customer friendly. They will be out of business in one year.

This is the verse place I've ever stayed in my life. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The hotel lobby is shared with night club so loud music is on till 3 AM and hotel management’s attitude is that any guest should live with it. Hotel mgmt even did not have courtesy to apologize for inconvenience. The parking is charged separately and the […] resort fees are also charged separately despite of the fact that resort fees should include the parking cost. The room did not have a remote for TV and it took management 28 hours before they can provide the remote. Half of the floor in room was either broke or uneven with temporary patches. WHEN WE GOT IN THE ROOM IT LOOKED NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES ON LINE. THE BATHROOM WAS OK. WE HAD TO FLUSH THE TOILET LIKE THREE TIMES FOR THE TOILET PAPER TO GO DOWN. YOU GET WHAT U PAT FOR!

First you enter the desk it's nice polite, the lobby newly renovated. Than you get off the elevator and it is your worst nightmare, the halls dirty, everything, is dirty, you enter your room, and you want to leave it's the unmaintained 60's. you name it and it was bad, 45 minutes + to get towels, no remote, beds older than me (49), comforter from the […] Goodwill, that they couldn't sell. My family and I stay in this Hotel every Memorial Day Weekend in addition to on other occasions. They have something for every age group and are always finding ways to make it nicer and more pleasant for everyone. The rooms are spacious and the prices are very reasonable. The fact that it's right on the beach is a huge plus. The tiki bar is always "happening", […] an overall great place! Would highly recommend. Mehr
