We choose to stay here because of it's proximity to the casino and it's price. You get for what you pay. Mouse excrement in the bathroom. Loud noises from the appliances. Bed seemed clean enough although I stopped myself from examining it for fear of finding what I was looking for... it's not romantic or charming but a place for the cheap to lay their […] tired head. "cleanliness of hotel"
i have never stayed at a Super 8 that was not clean. The room was dirty, microwave wasn't cleaned out it had coffee on the plate in the microwave, and the fridge wasn't very clean either. I was very disappointed and I will not recommend this hotel to a friend.Authentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

"Super 8 Shelbyville - Quiet Discounted Retreat"
Lately, I tend to stay in hotels since I started traveling for work 3 years ago. This time it was personal business and the hotel was cheaper than others in the area, but I got what I paid for. It was a comfortable room with a comfortable bed, microwave, refrigerator, and cable TV. The room was nice for the price, but obviously would've been better […] for a higher price. The hotel was next to a gas station w/ McDonald's. Waffle House across the street and a few miles from a Wal-Mart, Applebee's, and civilization. If you're looking for peace and quiet at a discounted rate in the middle of nowhere and you're not picky about amenities and ultra-cleanliness, then Super 8 Shelbyville would be a good fit for you. My daughter arrived before I did and went in to get our room. The front desk clerk said she would be back in five minutes and just left my daughter standing there! If she had given an explanation or waited for an "ok" or "sure" from my daughter it would have been fine, but she just turned her back and walked away! My daughter walked out and waited in […] her car for about 45 minutes until I arrived. At that point I did not want to stay at this hotel and we cancelled. "Not in a million years"
If the hotel would do something about the condition of the rooms, it wouldn't be a bad place to stay. But, even in a smoking room, if you clean the bed linen and spray the carpets and curtains, the smell can be controlled. Also, why have a fridge and microwave in one room, but not another? They were both the same price. And finally, customer service […] seems to be a courtesy of bygone days. It's a shame really.
