Super 8 Cedar Rapids East - Cedar Rapids

Room was supposed to be non-smoking,smelled like smoke. No hair-dryer. First impression was of teen-ager,who is a ward of the state,living at the motel,going through the used cigarette butts in front of the building.

It was very enjoyable

This hotel was very clean and updated. The bed was very comfortable and staff over-the-top friendly. The breakfast was excellent and included biscuits with gravy and a good selection of fresh fruits. This hotel and excellent value for dollar.

Was in Cedar Rapids for a softball tournament has a terrible experience at the Baymount need a extra day because of inclement weather the other place increased their rates so i left called Super duper 8 and had a very nice stay the room were very clean Patty was very nice and the location was wonderful. We appreciate the opportunity to share about our one night stay with your motel. This review is only to help you improve the quality of a night's stay for all customers. The bathroom floor was so sticky we didn't even want to use the shower. The toilet seat was broken, my husband had to remove the lid to the toilet to stop it from running each time […] we used it, and there was a huge bubble on the ceiling over the shower/tub. The screen on the window was bent so we didn't want to leave it open for bugs to enter. There were only two pillows and a very thin blanket to use. When we entered our room that evening, we nearly froze from the room feeling like it was about 30 degrees. It was to be a nonsmoking room but we could smell cigaretts all night long. The hallway carpet was so dirty that it didn't look like it was vacuumed in weeks. We are sorry to say but we cannot recommend this motel to any of our friends. We should have put out $15 - $20 more for a hotel. The employees were pleasant and curteous. Thank you Mehr

Shower was filthy, carpet was dirty. Definitely would not stay at this hotel again.

The staff were extremely friendly, the rooms were simple but clean and comfortable. Convenient to the highway and stores. Nof but 10 minutes from CedarRapids down town area. I would come back if I needed a place to stay at a reasonable price.

The breakfast was not good ! The room was okay!

No elevator, third floor walk-up. Internet did not work, but if you're lucky a neighboring facility's signal will be strong enough. Toilet stopped up, but they had a plunger for us to walk down and borrow. Bed was worn out, totally sagged on one side, just sort of subsided on the other side. The carpet had been cleaned within the last three years, maybe. On […] the good side, the bathroom was clean, and one of the hinges on the toilet seat was not broken. Mehr

The room was filthy. Very dirty carpet, the tub was dirty and sickly. The alarm clock didnt work and the toilet would only flush after you waited for it to refill with water ( hard to explain--it was a strange and un-user free set up). BUT--the worst problem was the workers that started renovating the room above us after midnight---the vacuuming and […] noise was very, very loud. Because I had a 3 year old who had fallen asleep at his normal time of 8:30 I could not request a change of rooms---esp. after midnight when the noise started. The manager told me the following morning that I should have requested and moved to another room and that she had told the workers to not work after midnight. Mehr

Bed was stained, hair dryer not working, HBO not working. Easy in and out from freeway. If you just need a place to sleep its ok. If you plan to spend any time there... well, go somewhere else. Not much around the motel either.

Typical Super 8 motel...they're like McDonalds restaurants...clean, warm, convinent. Not the top of the heep, but great for an overnigtht going through, or a couple days in the area. No problems, No complaints

The employees were friendly and attentive. Room was clean and quiet. Would stay there again with out hesitation

We have stayed here twice and the rooms have been fine each time. The 2nd time hotels.com booked us in smoking rooms, not non-smoking like we requested. Upon check-in the clerk said we had smoking rooms, and I explained it was wrong. Thankfully after 10 minutes of working on our reservation she was able to change it. She said if booking with hotels.com […] ever again to call the hotel to make sure what hotels.com submits to the actual hotel is correct b/c this is not the first time they have got information wrong for a reservation. Other than being put in a smoking room when I requested a non-smoking room everything else was ok.

We were on the third floor with no elevator. The breakfast area had two small tables by the front desk and a small counter with food. We couldn't even get anything because there were too many people in the way and not enough room to move around. There were two cereals, juice, and bread items and coffee. Very disappointing. The room was small. We had […] the air conditioner going full blast but it was still hot in there. It was not the best place I've stayed in, but I guess it is what to expect for the money. Spend some more and stay at a nicer place. Mehr

very poor maintenance including roaches, hallway was filled with cigarette smoke, not enough towels, continental breakfast was gone before we arrived and it was a half hour before it was to close. language barrier with morning clerk who didnt seem to care about our problems

This place didn't let us down, especially for the money. Far enough off the freeway not to hear traffic, but close enough not to get lost. Plenty of restuarants in walking distance. We were pulling a trailer, and there was plenty of parking area to accomodate our needs. We left an item in our room, and the hotel staff were very helpful to mail the item […] to our home. We would definetly stay here again when we are in the area. Mehr
