Super 8 Motel - Columbus - Columbus

We had stayed here before, the upstairs was fine on our first stay here, this time we stayed on the lower floor, They are remodeling down there. It was not real bad but looked unsettling. Lots of people in the hallway screaming and yelling, cussing, and I was not comfortable in that situation. I will not be interested in staying there again.

the hotel smelled bad and the room was rather nasty, there were cigarette burn holes in the blankets and the shower curtain in our 'smoke free room', there were holes in the walls, the tiles were pushed up, the floor was sticky

The staff were pleasant, the location is nice, and price was low. My non-smoking room smelled of smoke (and other strange things), and the air conditioner was very, very, very loud (although the circulating air did help with the stench). We booked a room with a King size bed for 40 bucks. We were not expecting a fancy hotel. We were looking for a pleasant overnight stay, and that is what we recieved. The lobby area was a bit cramped, but the staff was friendly and helpful. Well lets put it like this, the service person who watch the deck needs to be fired or keep him off his cell phone. Also the traffic of the people like the call girls that be waiting around the build need to be with who they came with or need to be on the outside waiting on them. Hallways were filthy. Surprised not to see rats eating crumbs of food that were on the stairway. Service desk took forever to come to the window when I checked in. Never answered while my stay. Will never stay again. Point blank.

Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. Hotel was in a good location near expressway & restaurants. Every thing you would need in your room such as microwave, refrigerator, iron, hairdryer, tv with movie channels etc.

was cheaper than any hotel and worth the money. there were a few times my keys didn't work to get in but it wasn't a big deal. i was happy.

Overall it was a nice stay, service was good and it was a pretty ok room. The only bad thing was, I found a burn on my pillow case and had to ask for a new one. And it was a non smoking room.

Extremely dirty, room unclean, keycard hard to be magnetized all 4 days, very unsafe area and hotel based on experience there, smoke alarm going off in room at 7am (no one smokes and nothing was on), stained dirty carpets throughout, chipped paint, heavy dust in room, floor not swept or mopped, empty shampoo bottles on floor, cups never replaced and […] dirty ones left, not enough towels, heavy dust and dirt in hallways (people had broke on the windows and carpet and it was there for the entire 4 days), never clean. Pretty decent. Attendants were nice and it was fairly clean. If I had to complain about anything it would be it got warm in my room and the a/c wasn't too good.

bed was rock hard but that's what you get for a cheap hotel. overall cleanliness of the hotel was terrible. needs to be swept and cleaned more often.

Nasty scary place. Only stayed there 2hrs then left. My kids was freaking out from all the crackhead people running around. I did not care about the money lost I just wanted out of there. Dont stay here unless u are there to get or sell drugs or picking up at hooker. DO NOT stay here !!!!

I stay at inexpensive hotels all the time, but this one was definitely at the lower end of the spectrum. The room itself was clean enough, so no complaints there. But the the clientele was worrying to say the least. I am sure they must rent rooms by the hour, as we met a couple of these ladies in the hallway taking a cigarette break. That said, it was […] a Friday night and believe it or not the hallway was quiet all night. I was there with my 7 year old daughter so that probably weighed on my mind. We needed a room for a night. The price worked well for our needs. The room, while clean and generally presentable, could benefit from some cosmetic repair work. When we arrived, there was a bad smell that seemed to go away - not sure how it originated. The neighborhood was convenient both for restaurants, shopping, and highway access.

dangerous area. Shady people coming in and out all the time. Room was supposed to be non smoking. It was overwhelmingly smoky. Hallways smoky and very dirty. We did not feel safe at all. Would never stay there again even if it were free.

I have stayed at wonderful Super 8 hotels in the past years. However, I was totally disappointed with this stay (and upset at myself for not reading other comments about this particular location before booking). The only positive I found was that the bedding and bathroom were clean. We had a non-smoking room, but the hall reeked of smoke and it permeated […] strongly into the room. Turning on the air-conditioner to filter the air did nothing to help. We could not sit in one of the chairs, the joints were so loose I was afraid one of us might break it. The floor felt "squishy" in parts of the room and in the halls. I am not sure if it was from bad floors or bad carpet/padding combo. The complimentary breakfast was sad, unless you like packaged pastry or cereal. I am glad the bedding was clean. After seeing the hall and room, I wasn't sure about our stay. I even removed part of the sheets to check the mattresses for bed bugs. Thankfully, none seen! We did stay, for we had to without forfeiting our money (it was non-refundable) and we didn't have the funds to stay elsewhere. However, though clean, we will not be staying there again if conditions there are not improved greatly. And, we will not be recommending to anyone a stay at this particular establishment. Mehr

This was a CHEAP hotel, more in quality than cost. I have stayed in enough cheap hotels to save money but for the most part they put up a good front to see like a pleasant hotel. Very affordable! The room was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Not much to the continental breakfast though - mostly just cereal. It was a nice hotel. Very convenient for what i needed. I stayed in a non smoking room, but the hallways and everything smelled very much of smoke. Also the room was good but it looked like the floor had not been vacummed in sometime. there was dirt and debris on the floor in the room.

hall ways smelled like smoke and our room also smelled like smoke, but that is not the hotels fault. That is due to not enough smoking rooms for the inconsiderate smokers that go ahead and get a non smoking room and smoke in them anyways.

guests were smoking in the doorways of all the buildings so even the corridors of the non-smoking sections smelled of smoke and even tainted the rooms a bit. Poorly lit parking lot.
