Super 8 Motel - Flint/Miller Road - Flint

The smoking rooms are on the same floor as the non-smoking room. My room smelled like smoke, and the halls where full of smoke. My first room was great, but the windows on the bottom floor did not feel safe. My 2nd night I stayed in a different room. The remote did not work and the door had a panel busted. A nice waypoint on a long trip. Clean, convenient, good WiFi. Nice breakfast in the AM.

OK for the price - however avoid weekends .. lots of locals staying there - noisy parties, encounters , questionable behaviours.....

This hotel is very nice. The room was clean and nice and the bed was very comfortable. The man at the counter was very nice and helpful and even gave my daughter a comic book to cheer her up. This hotel is by far the best value in the area.

All in all, it was OK for the price I paid. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean, but worn. Our bathtub, for instance, had a peeling surface. Our disconnected smoke alarm was on the desk--obviously not working, as it was a wired device and the wires were dangling from the ceiling. We reported it as soon as we arrived on Friday. When we left […] on Sunday, it was still not fixed. Housekeeping collects all linens, takes them to the laundry, and then returns later in the day to make beds and replace the towels. You likely will be in a "stripped" room, if you plan to be there during the day. That said, though, the housekeeper we dealt with was very nice. If you want the "breakfast," be there by 8:40 am. By 9 am (when it is supposed to close), the breakfast bar is completely cleaned up. Coffee ran out at 8:40 and was not replenished. I never saw any fruit at all. Mehr

The lady at the front desk who works in the daytime is awesome. So pleasent and helpful. She is a delight and always smiling. One of the best employees I have ever met. I am in management and I would recommend her for any job.

Hotel was clean, but changed rooms three times and all had terrible musty odor. WIFI signal very poor and was in and out. HVAC needed to be updated - not easy to regulate room temp. Floors above were also noisy just from people walking.

room did not get warm until 2 a.m. we checked in at 6 p.m. and turned the heat up because the room was cold. there was a loud running water noise that was constant and after informing the clerk nothing was done--not even checked on. This kept us awake. we left a day early eventhough we were paid up through that night.

NEEDS A LITTLE UP DATING TURN ON WATER IN BATH ROOM AND FIXTURE FALLS OFF IN YOUR HAND BUT ROONS ARE CLEAN

Needed a reasonable priced room for early airport departure. Easy to find, clean room, 1 mile from airport. Fit the purpose!

A better bargain than I was expecting. Great place to crash after a long day of travel. Much better than getting behind the wheel near midnight. Would be perfect for the business traveler. We were very pleased with our stay. The carpet was very nice, I really liked the design and the room decoration and colors were very well put together. Room was very clean. We plan on a revisit to the area and will deffinately stay here!

Motel and personnel running it were very good. The only problem we had was a nosy toilet that was also hard to flush without holding it down and we did tell them about the problem.

I read a few reviews about this hotel and they were not very positive ones. I decided to use it anyways because it was only going to be for one night. The reviews I read were totally wrong. Our room was very clean and I was very happy with it.

I was very dissappointed with my stay at this Motel. There was mold on the celing and walls in the bathroom, the tub/shower area looked as if it had not been cleaned in years. It was extremely hard to get any sleep as people seem to open and close doors at all hours of the night. I have to wonder if they bother to put insulation in any of the walls. […] The room we stayed in definately needs to be redone not just to look nice but to remove the mold. We did not use the shower at all! When you are charged to stay somewhere you expect a certain level of cleanliness, and although when booking this location the price was reasonable the condition (mold) made it unworthy of the price we paid. In the future we will inspect our room and ask for a refund immediately if it is unsatifactory! However, what do about other guests who don't seem to care that they are keep others awake by opening and closing doors at hotel/motel all night might be a problem that can not be fixed by management. I do however think hotel/motel builders need to figure out a way to make the opening and closing of doors cause less noise. Mehr

Recently renovated room had nice new bed, chair, even a fridge and microwave! New shower as well. Probably the nicest Super 8 I've been to, and well worth the small cost of the room.

Outlets didn't work but it was cheap

It's not a terrible place, but considering the other hotels nearby, I think one could do better by selecting another one. At least Starbucks was nearby, that was a big plus.

rooms recently renovated, clean and comfortable, close to good shopping

I was ultimately surprised by the condition of my room! Newly remodeled! Very clean! Bottled water! Nicely decorated! The price was just right for what I needed and they had a shuttle to take me to the airport at 5 am.

it was great for the price. Staff was great and the room was clean.

Our room was clean but the mattress was the wrost nights sleep we've ever experienced.

Do not stay at this hotel. I felt like I was going to be on an episode of cops! The room was disgusting, drove to local store to buy lysol to disenfect! The room next door was dealing drugs, front desk ignored complaints. Do not stay at this hotel!!!!!

To start off, they gave my father a handicapped room, which I did not request. In my room, the phone had no cord. The clock radio was not set, the desk lamp did not work, the window was so filthy I couldn't see out of it and the bathroom was in need of renovation. the toilet wouldn't flush unless you held the handle for 5 minutes and the tub did not […] drain until 5 minutes after I was done with my shower. The air conditioner was so noisy, the only way I could sleep was to turn it off. In addition, when I told the front desk about all of these problems, he took out a piece of paper as if to take my complaints and rrom number, but then wrote nothing on the paper. Although they were in the process of remodeling, our room was very clean. They do need to put a key card entry at the back door and also a choice of softer pillows. All in all we were very pleased with our stay.

Checked in late at night...went through 3 rooms before we could find a room with such wonderful amenities as: Toilet paper Shower Curtain Bedding

This hotel is ok if you don't want anything but to sleep at a cheap rate. If you get a good rate it might be ok for you. It is on a busy road in Flint about a mile from the mall and a lot of shopping. It is also right next to three major expressways in town. (I-75, US 23 & I-69.) There are nicer hotels in town but they cost more so this hotel is pretty […] cheap but not as nice as the costlier ones. We normally stay at a nicer hotel but this one fit our needs for this trip. The rooms were small, not very clean, things weren't working properly, too much furniture in the room, noisey and shady people hanging out in the hotel. I don't see myself stay at this or anything other Super 8 again. The room rate was ok, but after staying there, it wasn't worth it at all. I couldn't even sleep because I was so uncomfortable.

Because of the price, we weren't expecting luxury and we certainly didn't get it, but it was fine. The location is right off the highway near the Flint Airport (very convenient) on a busy street and we felt completely safe. The check-in person was friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. I was in for a quick business meeting. The hotel is conveniently located relative to the airport. The room gave great value; it provided a clean, safe and convenient stay. I have stayed in $150/night hotels and paid for internet; this hotel provided it without cost. It is older construction, but I was not looking for add-ons that I would not use...I […] needed internet not a spa. The staff was professional, pleasant and helpful. The parking lot was well lit. As an older woman traveling alone I felt safe and that my car was safe in the parking lot. The hotel offered a continental breakfast; once again, not fancy but a good value. I would stay again. Room was freezing cold and heater didn't work. Very disappointed with this hotel. Don't stay here!

In a good location but expected more (newer) from a Motel 6

Hotel is really not a nice place to stay at all. My heating unit did not work properly. I was told the maintance man would not be there until Monday. No room available to move me. Floor,sheets, stain and dirty. Staff nice, but hotel is not clean.

we refused to stay in such dirty conditions. Plus hotel customer service was insulting. refused to let us see rooms before checking in. .

I would NOT recommend this hotel. Even though the hotel is clearly marked non smoking inside the hotel the room reeked of smoke. We had to turn the air on AND open the window. The carpet was old and dirty - to the point that my husband would not set anything but his shoes on it. The bed was saggy in the middle. This hotel was discusting, would not recomend it. Our room key didn't work, had to go down to the front desk three times. When we finally got into the room the battrey was taken out of the fire alam and the cover just hanging open, there was duct tape on the screen for the window and even though it was a non smoking room had the stale smell of smoke. […] I could not wait to get out of that hotel. The hotel was very inexpensive. Desk clerks were pleasant. Door to room was impossible to open by myself. Clerk had to do it, laughed when I asked for another room. Room was clean, everything worked. When I arrived, was met with bullet proof glass. Hotel smelled musty. The carpet was very dirty. Then we come to the room which was supposed to be non smoking when I opened the door to the room i was hit in the face with the odor of cigarette smoke. There was dirt that you could plainly see on the floor. I then decided to take a shower and there was […] dried urine on the floor and the bathroom reaked of urine. The toilet seat was broken, and the shower rod when I went to pull the curtin it came out of the wall. There were two of the smallest towels that I had ever seen to dry off with. There was no hot water on friday night, anytime saturday, or sunday when I wanted to take a shower before checkout. I mentioned all this to the cleaning crew and nothing was said. I put the sign out for maid service when we left saturday and when we came back room hadn't been touched and maids were gone. Then while lying in bed i looked behing my pillow and found crayons and food behind the bed. The drawers were nasty filthy. And just to be aware no one had cleaned the fridge, when we opened up there was a beer in fridge and one in freezer, now what happens if I was underage and there was beer in there. This hotel especially the cleaning crew do not clean and or move things when they are supposedly cleaning. The walls were paper thin and we could hear couple in next room having sex. At checkout I was rushed out and wasn't even asked about how stay was. And at checkout they did ask me if i had jumper cables for a car that needed a jump outside. By far one of the worst hotel experiences ever. Hotels.com definately needs to do more research on their hotels. Mehr

rooms need to be cleaned better. carpets vaccumed more. better airconditioners. the area was not to bad. the front desk people were nice. for the price I would stay again but make sure I got a room with a working airconditioner and make sure they washed the comforter and blankets before I got to the motel.
