This hotel was easy access to Lookout Mountain/Ruby Falls.....the free breakfast was just what you need to start your day, Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again. Was not that far from downtown either about a 15 min drive.

3 floors no elevator. Rooms were clean no sheet on the bed just mattress pad. Internet was hit or miss. Desk clerk kinda cold and matter of fact. No real personality. But good cheap place for money

This hotel was very decent for the price. We just needed a place to stay while sight seeing and this suited us perfectly. There were a few bugs in the room but, once we got rid of them, we didn't see anymore. I would stay here again. Was close to downtown area and even closer to Ruby Falls and Rock Mtn. This hotel is old and very much in need of a serious overhaul. It is dirty and rundown, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I was very impressed with the night manager and his son who checked us in. So friendly and helpful! The son even made a trip across the street to the convenience store to get me some bottled waters since they didn't sell it in vending machine. However, the hotel was very dirty. Stains all over the carpeting. Stratches and paint chipped off the walls. […] I was very grossed out by blankets on our bed. Was under renovations but was well priced. Recommended for people with tight budgets.

This hotel needs lots of updates. It needed paint and the room felt dirty. Location good but way overpriced.

Very close to Ruby Falls and the other places we went to. Worth e money we spent.

The very first thing we noticed was the strong paint smell throughout the entire hotel. Had to leave the window cracked all night to air out the room. Our keys had to be programmed to get into the room. 3rd floor middle of the night with no elevator. Not the best situation. Our stay at the Super 8 in Lookout Mountain, Tennessee was an overall great experience. Lee was very friendly and helpful. He was very knowledgeable of the area and even recommended a couple places to eat. The hotel was under construction but it wasnt loud at all and no noise at night. The location of the hotel was fantastic. Five minutes to lookout […] mountain attractions and five minutes to downtown via I -24. The hotel appeared to be going through a major renovation. The second of three floors was not useable. Although we were in a non-smoking room, the blanket had cigarette burns in it. The staff we saw were friendly. Perhaps once the remodeling is done, it would be a place I'd stay again.

This hotel is nothing fancy but very good place to crash for the money!!!

Lookout Mountain turned out to be Lookout! Construction! The hotel was nearly empty, but we were sent walking to the 3rd floor...probably because construction was on first two levels. No noise overnight, thankfully. Breakfast was extremely limited...don't stay there for the free breakfast! I had Fruit Loops and warmish milk. Coffee...with little packets […] of fake creamer...ick. Positive: Very convenient to interstate and price was right. Hopefully once all the rooms refinished, will be much nicer. Mehr

This hotel is old, very thin walls or floors, bad beds, bad breakfast ( they hardly had any food) .ok cleanliness in room.

The hotel is in need of major updates, still has ols t.v.s the color kept going out. We were on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. The continental breakfast is from 6-9 but everything is packed up before 9 . I would not recommend this hotel to anyone or stay there again. There are 5 others in site. My wife and i stayed there when we visited ruby falls and rock city.the hotel manager Lee was perfect. He provided service you would expect from a 5* hotel. I would definitely visit again

Hotel really friendly and gave good recommendations for surrounding tourist attractions

just OK. We were ignored at the check in desk for a good 4 minutes........not the best hotel as far as quality.

The room was adequate for this traveler passing through. My only wish was that the "continental breakfast" had a little more variety and didn't close up at 9am.

Overall it was ok. They need to pay more attention to the quality of their maintenance.

Great hotel for the price. Right next to not 1 but 2 waffle house! Only drawback is the hotel does not have an elevator.

I was dissappointed in this hotel. It was in disrepair and smelled like smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room. The lady that works the desk in the evening was very helpful in redcommending a spectacular restuarant and she was very very nice. The one good point in the stay was that they had a pool. If not for the super high price of the surrounding hotels I would not reccomend this hotel. The cost is the only thing they have going for them. I have never seen my teenagers move so fast the next morning when it was time to leave. The halls were dark and smelled bad...and we were on the 2nd floor which is non-smoking. The back door to get into the […] hotel did not lock properly so security was a bit scary. If you are looking for breakfast I would stick to the Waffle House next door. Overall I would say 1 night in this hotel would be okay if you are on a limited budget but I would suggest bringing a door security bar because the locks seemed a bit iffy. Mehr

Very old, run down & dirty. The people were nice.

The wireless Internet connection was very bad (too weak signals). I cannot use it in my room. I came down to lobby, but it was also not good. Recently, I never had stayed in any motel/motel where the wireless connection is not available.

Motel was nice but could have had better pillows. Other than that, no complaints.

Pros: Bed comfortable. Good location if going to lookout mountain area. Decent food choices in area if you don't mind fast food and the waffle house. Friendly front desk staff. We never asked for maid service though. Cheap price. Cons: Constant mildew smell from AC unit. Bring air freshener and open window. Two queen beds as advertised ended up being […] two full beds. Thin walls and floors. No real breakfast service, easier to walk to waffle house. Enough storage for two people, probably not for a family of four. Older building, renovations poorly done. If you would like to stay in a hotel room that smells like mildew, has stained bedding, soiled floors and broken door locks then this is your hotel.

Hotel was ok. Was a little out of date. No elevator so you better stay on the bottom floor unless you want to climb stairs. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was average. It was ok for the price. I would probably stay there again.

You do get what you pay for. Room was clean and beds comfy. We did the non-smoking room and it was definately non-smoking. Morning b'fast was weak especially with other large guests in nightgowns. But Waffle House right next door.

average motel, with the exception of electrical cover off of plugs in bathroom. there was also mold in the bathroom ceiling about the shower

This hotel has three stories and no automatic doors or elevator.

The hotel's hall way has a strong Indian smell and the bed's mattress is too soft or old.

While the staff was friendly and the hotel was clean, the beds felt as if the springs were poking through the batting and the fluorescent light in the bathroom was dim and flickered like a strobe light. Good hotel for the value & price. Just needing a place to sleep while touring all day in the area, this is the place to stay. Staff very courteous and location to highways and attractions excellent, plus many restaurants and Wal Mart all in area.

This hotel was good enough for a short night sleep on a cross-country move but I would not want to stay there longer than a night. It seems to be an old property and could use some sprucing up, It wasn't terrible and served it's purpose.

The room was quite good for a one night sty. Nice pesonel.

I was generally satisfied with this location, but the odor of the hallway and lobby was heavy with smoke/mildew . Our room was a non-smoking room, and its odor was neutralized and acceptable, but the initial odor upon entering the Hotel was rather pronounced. Heavy cigarette (possibly mildew) odor was more than just noticeable, and hallway still had […] odor as we approached the room. The room itself was nicely odorfree, and the accommodation was clean, comfortable and adequate. (Lack of hair dryer was not a major deterrent.) The continental breakfast needs to be improved. The donuts tasted old, I feel like they had been refreigerated or frozen from a previous day. They were cold and hard. Milk was warm. The coffee in the room and the continental breakfast was weak and almost tasteless.
