The New Casablanca on the Ocean - Miami Beach

Good price, Good service and very comfortable

Great location-right on the beach. Service a bit lacking as my alarm didn't work and my wake up call never happened. Made it a bit rough to catch my flight out of Miami.

This hotel gave away my room after I called and told them I would be arriving later inthe evening. I paid for a double ocean view and got a full size city view efficiency. To top it all off, they ran out of parking where they charge $16 per day... At my request for linen, they had none. It was really awful

Retro style condo/hotel. Very family oriented yet fun for adults too. Clean pool just steps away from the ocean. Cabana rentals are great, clean, and convenient. Hotel restaurant is super inexepensive yet the food is great and the bar selection rocks!

The front desk staff was polite and the room was large comfortable and clean. My complaint is with the other guests staying there. They were rude and uneducated. No manners whatsoever. Looks like they were just released from a zoo.

This hotel was adequate for the price. It was a family hotel - there were lots of kids in the pool, and catered to the Latino community - I didn't hear a single person speak English as their mother tongue except us. There was no spa, which we would have liked. It was old. We were afraid the elevator might stop working. The rooms were clean and had a […] full kitchenette, including microwave, stove, oven, refrigerator, dishes, silverware, pots and pans. Hotel staff was marginal at best. They allowed other guests to cut in front of us when we were registering. They didn't have enough towels for the pool. I disliked only having valet parking, but I guess that's probably the norm in Miami Beach - would have liked to come and go as I please without paying a tip every time I got my car, not to mention the $17 per night for parking. I've stayed at many hotels in Miami Beach. This is a very good value for the cost. Cooking facilities a major plus! One compliant is wi-fi is VERY slow. Even hotels in places like Costa Rica have a faster internet connection.

Overall the hotel was decent but nothing special. It was too far from South Beach (4 miles) but there was a bus that took you to the scene for $2.00. I ended up switching hotels because I wanted to be where the action was. Room was a decent size. Amenities were okay but nothing was upgraded.

The ocean view was beautiful. The room was clean and spacious with a kitchenette. The swimming pool area was well landscaped and the pool clean. For the price, we were satisfied.

This hotel lacks some of the ammenities. There is no concierge, no lounge chairs at the beach, and there are shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the bath. Room did not have a phone book, restaurant guide, etc. However, not a bad stay for the money.

Room not ready until 6:30 PM, Wrong room, 2 single beds, not a King size. Next room with King size bed was ready next day at 5:30 PM, but by mistake was given to other costumer. Ocean view only from outside of de Hotel. Not Happy.

The only plus to this hotel was the view and the restaurant - any of the help showing up at your door did not speak english - bathrooms falling apart and rusty - as well as kitchens - elevators have not been inspected since 2007 - the lobby looks nice as well as new beds but should invest more in the actual rooms - was disappointed

I come here a few times a year, it's convieniently located close enough to South Beach, but quiet enough to take my children too. The staff from valet to front desk to housekeeping is always so friendly and I can't wait until my next visit. The room was what I expected for the price. Not great but not bad..Location to beach was fantastic..Definitely on the quite end of Miami Beach. If that is what you want a nice place to stay.

Good location on Miami Beach. Rooms were clean but were very tired and badly in need of renovation. Room service was delivered in styrofoam cups and paper plates kind of like takeout at a fast food place.

Everything was nice except for one of the security guards who acted as if he is with the FBI and acted too much like a "boss."

The service was exceptable, however the breakfast & services included in the price was the worst ever. The breakfast room was dirty and smelled unfresh.....The positive thing was they had fresh toast;)

i have stayed at this hotel 4 times and loving it. the only thing is the mattresses are old and every time you move you wake everyone up.

At first we had a room that was no so great, but one phone call to the front desk and they moved us into a much better, beautiful room. I stay here often and always am treated very well. I will stay again and again.

Stay 7/12-14/2010 I was looking for a hotel closer to the main shopping/restaurants areas in South Beach, but all the reviews for the boutique hotels in this area were horrible. I selected this hotel at the last minute due to several decent reviews. Since I did not know anything about the hotel, I only book for 2 nights and the other 2 nights were at […] the Hilton downtown, a location I was familiar with. Although the hotel was clean, it is very old and is a long ways from being a Hilton/Marriott property. FYI, the Hilton was cheaper. The rooms and bathrooms are very small, do not consider if you have a family of four and only if you have a very limited budget. Beds were small, I'm 6'3, not enough room. One good thing, this hotel has direct access to the beach with a walkway just outside the rear gate. Swimming pool is large and clean. Hotel provided towels to pool and beach. Parking is $17.00 a day plus tax. Mehr

When arriving at the hotel, the lobby was pretty nice. However, the staff at the hotel, at best, are indifferent. The first night, the air conditioning on the entire floor went out. At 5:30 am, we couldn't take it anymore and went downstairs. The front desk said they were working on it and said there was nothing that could be done. They did give us […] a fan, but that was not very helpful (85 degrees is 85 degrees with or without a fan). At 9 am, we went back down for breakfast, and checked in with the front desk and at that time, they said that the maintenance team had just arrived to fix the problem (hadn't been working on it at all until that point). To get any kind of concession, we had to get into an argument in the lobby. They were also indifferent about the mosquitos in the room. They told us they had "Off" in the gift shop if we wanted to buy some. On the positive side, the hotel was directly on the beach and it wasn't terribly crowded in that area. If the staff was a little nicer and the room was in better repair, it would have made the experience much better. Mehr

Hotel is old and requires maintenance/updates..we only got one set of keys..they said they were going to provide a second set but I followed up a few times and we never got them (staff was courteous but not sincere?)..we were getting ready to head out for the evening when my husband decided to open the patio door..luckily he's very handy but it took […] him 20 min. to figure out how to close/lock it..I'm sure we would've had to wait all night or the next day for someone to come take a look at fixing it. The good things about the hotel were the kitchenette (we had our 18 mo. old son w/us), pool and its location. Mehr

I liked the hotel and where it was located. It was also right on the beach which is what I wanted for this trip. The restaurant fare was disappointing to me. It was not really set up for food at 5 pm when it should have been serving. The room had a small cooking area, tea and coffee. Bathrooms were clean which is very important to us and the bed was […] comfortable. Great ocean view. Our biggest problem was with the room next door. We were on PST time in Miami with a 7am flight out. The people next room over had a noisy party going which the hotel did little to quell. First at 11:45 pm and continuing until the security was called by us and at least one other room. At 1:30 am the noise started again. Again we called security and instead of asking these people to leave they let them stay. Noise continued until we left at 4 am. I told the management I was very displeased the people were not expelled from the room. I would stay there again if I was guaranteed they would do something about noisy neighbors. Mehr

Hotel antigo como todos os outros de Miami, mas com a vantagem de estar a beira mar.

Acorde al precio abonado por estar en Miami Beach sobre la linea de playa. Habitaciones no tan amplias para cuando reservas matrimonio con dos hijos, las camas son chicas. Tiene una buena pileta, lobby amplio. No cumplieron conel desayuno que estaba incluido segun la publicacion en hotel.com.

Muy buena estancia, ubicacion excelente , lejos de del ruido y a mano de todo.

Buena ubicaciòn, buen trato, la mayoria del personal habla español. Pileta climatizada excelente, con salida a la Playa, a la cual fuimos muy poco. Familiar. La comida muy buena. Muy Recomendable. Para tenerlo en cuenta si volvemos. Es para repetir.

Et ok hotel, fin pool, standard værelser og simpel morgenmad. Til gengæld får man noget charme og stil fra "det gamle Miami" som de nye hoteller ikke har.

Hotel muito agradável, com boa infraestrutura, com piscina termica e acesso apraia. Localização adequada e equidistante de locais atrativos. Atendimento atencioso dos seus funcionários.

Funcionários da reception desk são em sua maioria rudes e não tem nenhuma disponibilidade em ajudar o cliente, ou seja caso qualquer coisa inesperada aconteça (necessidade de early check-in ou late check out; idade das crianças para poder ou não tomar café da manhã, etc) o cliente fica desamparado.

Den condo vi fick var rymlig men väldigt sliten, med ex.vis trasiga persienner och skavda bänkar. Sängarna var mycket sköna och städningen fungerade också bra. Det vi anmärkte på i receptionen (små myror på ett par ställen, stopp i avlopp, balkongdörr som ej gick att låsa) åtgärdades omgående och personalen var mycket tillmötesgående. Poolen och stranden […] var helt ok. Där fanns dock inga restauranger i den omedelbara närheten utan på köravstånd. En 7-elevenmack mitt emot. Frukosten var ganska begränsad - möjlk o flingor, bagelse/rostat bröd och blaskigt kaffe. Mehr

A qualidade do hotel é razoável. A limpeza é mediana. Uma das camas era muito ruim, com um ruído horrível. Quanto a localização, embora seja em frente ao mar, o hotel não dispõe de uma lizalização privilegiada, fica muito distante da maioria das facilidades de Miami Beach. O estacionamento é pago e torna-se essencial, já que tudo se tem que fazer de […] carro, e estacionar nas ruas da cidade é muito difícil. Mehr
