"günstige Lage für Besichtigung"Bewertet von einem Hotels.com Gast am 7. Mai. 2012
Gutes Hotel in schöner Umgebung an lauter Straße
"Tolles Hotel"Bewertet von einem Hotels.com Gast am 6. Mai. 2012

"Gutes, zentral gelegenes Hotel"
Gerne wieder
"Hotel Cosmopolita unmittelbar beim Piazza Venezia,"

"Well located, nice and clean"
A well located hotel. Rooms are small, but clean and ok according to price level. Staff is not very friendly but at least they speak English well. Breakfast is ok and better than what most similar hotels provide.
"Excellent location- 10 min walk from everything"
Excellent location!!!!!! Room very small. Shower VERY small. 10 min walk to trevi fountain and to colosseum. 5 min from trajans market and emmanuel vittorio. I would stay there again- LOCATION!!!

"Hotel Cosmopolita, Rome"
The hotel is in a superb location within walking distance of all the main sights except the Vatican. The open top bus tour is very accessible also as are the main shopping areas and restaurants. The hotel is very quiet at night as it is tucked into a side street. I would especially recommend the breakfast which sustained us for most of the day. Our […] stay at the Cosmopolita contributed greatly to the enjoyment of our first visit to Rome. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Mehr
"great location"
This was our second stay here. Room and breakfast is just OK. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Perfect spot in Rome for touring.
"small room"
I had a "double for single person" room and it was incredibly small, even by European standards. Pillows were thin and flat. But the location is excellent, and the staff are very professional and friendly. I was in Rome for six days and, while I don't normally eat in hotel restaurants, I had one of the two best meals of the trip in Cosmopolita's restaurant […] one night (the seafood tasting menu; a bargain). Mehr
"Honeymoon in Rome"
Two pensioners on our honeymoon.... But no room upgrade. We had a room on the busy road side so there was traffic noise & some noise from revellers at 3am saturday night from the bar opposite. But everything else was great. The hotel is positioned so that you can walk to see the sights, or catch a bus just outside. There are some lovely resaurants nearby […] (3 courses with wine & coffee about £45 for two) in addition to the hotel's own restaurant, which we used only for breakfast. There is a wide choice of food, both hot & cold. The hotel charges for internet use, but a computer is available for guest use if you don't bring your laptop. The staff are helpful & speak english, some fluently others a little. The rooms are comfortable & very clean. Spare bedding is available for extra warmth if needed. Toiletries are provided - shampoo, conditioner, bath/shower gel, soap bar, shower cap, & cotton buds. Towels are big n fluffy. There is a big roof garden with lovely views, but even though we were there in january we couldn't use it for 3 evenings as it was let for private functions. As we were leaving, some scaffolding was being erected. Don't know what for or for how long it would be there nor if noisy work would be carried out - but it might be worth checking if you are going soon. We had a lovely stay here in Rome and would recommend this hotel to you. Mehr
"Cosmopolita Hotel Rome: Price-Value-Distance!!!"
First off, there is no perfect location to stay in old Rome. No matter where you choose, you will be walking somewhere. So with that said where do you choose? We have stayed at the Cosmopolita Hotel before, because of its excellent location, and stayed there again for its relative price-value-distance for what we wanted to do. First the actual hotel, […] then Second what you can see close by the hotel. FIRST: THE HOTEL The Cosmopolita is quaint, mostly quiet, older but updated, with stairs, a maze to get to the rooms, and very friendly Italian staff. I say it that way because many people's expectations are not rational. I liked it because everything is as described, has charm and some old world/Italian style, and it felt like I was somewhere else. I travel a lot, and when the rooms are all square, big, perfect, with identical furnishings, and big lobbies, I really have no idea where I am. Not here, I know exactly where I am. If you don’t like stairs, don’t select this hotel. There are not a lot of stairs, but there are some stairs. There is a 4-5 person elevator, but there are some stairs on each floor, and stairs to get to the breakfast room. I liked it, as it was different, and not that big of a deal. If you weren't expecting it, it could throw you off. But you are reading this, so no excuses anymore. BESIDES, YOU PLAN ON WALKING 10 MILES A DAY, WHAT ARE 10-20 STAIRS IN THE HOTEL? You get what you pay for when you select your room size. I chose the single room, because I was guiding my parents on their first trip to Rome. They are 74 and healthy, and they can walk fine, but do get tired eventually. The single room was very small, with almost no room for my suitcase. It was very clean, had a couple plugs (euro 2 prong, bring you plug!) for my iPhone and camera, desk, TV, a clean and small bathroom with shower, and a window with a view of the Vittorio Emanuele! For this situation, it was a perfect room! I would say a thinner, younger couple, on a budget coul Mehr

"Great location, good service - rooms a little tigh"
You couldn't get a better location off Piazza Venezia in a quiet little road. Staff were very helpful and friendly - breakfast choice was also very good. The only let down of this hotel is having to constantly use the key card (especially between the foyer and the lift area - also the room I was in 312 was incredibly clautrophobic. That said it was […] clean, comfy and all in working order. Mehr
"Cosmopolita Hotel in Rome - central location"
Very, very central. All the sights are within easy walking distance which is what makes this hotel so attractive. Rooms are rather small but functional and very clean. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever experienced! The bathroom is the usual toilet, bidet, basin and small corner shower. Complimentary bathroom products are Neutrogena, […] replaced daily and quite nice. Not much storage, just a wardrobe but no drawers. Although there is a lift it is necessary to climb a couple of stairs to get to the room so this hotel is not suitable for anyone in a wheelchair. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast also good, a variety of hot and cold food should accommodate most tastes. Minibar expensive - but then they always are. Generally, this hotel is good value for money and I would recommend it to anyone whose main reason for visiting Rome is sightseeing. Mehr
"The Hotel Cosmopolita in Rome, Italy"
When you book on the Hotel site they dont make you aware that all standard rooms face a central space and have limited natural light. The room was cramped and the best description of a stay there was it was functional.
"Cosmopolita Hotel in Rome, location location"
The location can not be better! and makes up for 2 stars of the hotel. The rest of the hotel is basic but friendly and helpful staff.

"Poor Service"
Afternoon recepcionist was very rude ,and unpolite ,Internet access sucks,TV reception was poor ,there was not directory or any Information in the room .
"Good for the price!"
Very pleased with my stay at this location however the hallways could use some painting and minor touch ups in other places. Had to pay extra for internet connection ?
"Central Roma Cosmopolita"
Excellent location, very busy and central and all headline sights totally walkable. Super breakfast and friendly staff. Stayed with two children under 10 and loved it, lovely free lemon sweets on the reception desk.
"Great Hotel"
Had a fantastic time at this hotel, and the staff was very friendly! Would definitely recommend and stay here again. My only (potential) issue was the random steps along the way to the lift. I am young; therefore, it was not that difficult (even with two huge suitcases). However, it may prove difficult for older people. Otherwise - hotel was great!! […] I will be back! :-) Mehr
"Fantastic Location, Nice Hotel"
This hotel was a real "find". It probably has the best location in Rome at any price. It is located one block from the Victor Emmanuel Monument (Wedding Cake) and about three blocks from the Colleseum. The rooms were nice and clean, and well appointed, although not too large. It also had two twin beds, instead of a queen. Had we known this was a fantastic […] location I would have stayed for a week, instead of just one night. Mehr
"Great location"
Recommend hotel for location (walking distance to Coliseum and Vatican). Concerning some of the negative comments, I didn't see anything that supported those comments. I will be recommending this hotel to others.
Great location-walk to most attractions. Breakfast was good. Staff helpfull.
"Great Location"
We really liked the location of this hotel. It was very close to many historical sites as well as neighborhoods with good restaurants for dinner. Only 2 bad things- 1.) The air conditioner will not keep the room very cool, but you should be comfortable. We visited in September so the weather wasn't too hot. 2.) The bed and pillows are horrible!
"Horrible hotel, terrible staff."
From the moment we walked in the hotel the experience was awful. The concierge was rude when we arrived, told us he was busy and we can wait since check in isn't until 2pm. Meanwhile, it was 1:45. The hotel was old, dirty and dilapidated. There was definitely something wrong with the bed, because it felt like we were sleeping on a wooden board. When […] we left in the morning for an early flight the concierge was sleeping on the couch in the reception area. Mehr
"Bugs!"
Hundreds of them! They did move us to another room, but not without some hassle. The bugs got into our luggage, clothes...disgusting. Stay elsewhere.

"Cosmopolitan-Nice location but average quality"
The location is excellent to see all the good things that Rome has to offer. The attention of the staff is very good and always available. Sadly the building is not great. This is an old building anexed and converted into a hotel. There is a lot of stairs/steps, twists and bends to arrive to your room. Maintenance is not great. Our room smelled really […] bad (odour from toliet's pipes) and the air conditioning was noisy. To ventilate the room we had to have the window open but with the high temperature and external noise of the traffic it was not possible to keep it open. So we had to make a choice between the heat and noise versus the smell. Breakfast included was not great and sellection was limited. The hotel is in my opinion rated very high to call it a trully four stars. Mehr
"Hotel Cosmopolita In Rome"
Excellent location. Friendly staff.
"Hotel location is great"
You are walking distance to everything. The service was great but the rooms and hallways need undating.
"Great Location!"
Great location, walking distance from all major tourist sites! Trevi Fountain 5min walk, Colosseum, Spainish steps, Pantheon shopping/eating areas all within 10min walk. Main bus route stops outside hotel for short journeys to Vatican, Olympic Stadium etc. 6 euro taxi ride from train station. Internet/ wi-fi access for a price, decent breakfast. Good […] 4* hotel. Very enjoyable stay. Mehr
"The hotel Cosmoplita in Rome"
A great location in the heart of the city, i would recommend planning your brak before you go , i.e places to see etc, easy to do go to things to see in rome .com
"Great location, clean room, fabulous service"
We stayed 2 nights in Aug 2011. The hotel is right in the center of major attractions (1 - 3 blocks) but has nice storm windows that keep out the street noise. The room was clean, had a mini-bar, safe, and a working air-conditioner (a MUST in Rome in August). The staff was helpful and spoke English. The breakfast (included in the room) was the standard […] Continental, but also included scrambled eggs and bacon. We took advantange of the "private car" service offered by the hotel to the airport (FCO) for a flat rate and found it to be a great experience over a taxi ride since our flight left before the airport shuttle routes began. Internet was down the first night, but appeared to be working the second night (it is only available in the lobbby and for a fee) but we didn't use it ourselves. The bed was a traditional Italian bed, that is two twin beds pushed together and very hard. The pillows were also very traditional in that they were hard. The linens were good quality, clean and the housekeeping staff did a great job of cleaning rooms without making lots of noise in the hallways. The bathroom was modern and clean, but the stand-up shower (there is no tub) was a bit small for my 250 lb husband. The bathroom did have a bidet. There was no clock in the room but there was clock in the flat-screened TV. Mehr
"Practical location, essentials acceptable"
The hotel's location is very Good... Close to the most of the must see sights and to the shopping area. So, if you're looking for a practical hotel with no luxury this should be a good choice. My husband appreciated the hard mattress which is good for back pain, especially after hours of walking in the city. Shower was a bit too small but water stream […] is good. Bathroom was tiny. Room space is decent given Rome hotels standards. Mehr
"cosmopolita hotel rome"
two single beds put together to make a double very uncomfortable the hardest pillows almost rock hard,no iron, tea or coffee making when asked told why would you need it I have no patients for stupidity.breakfast was a concern some of the fruit salad had mold in it the bacon was boiled & very fatty. The a/c was useless when asked to fix it I was told […] it was normal 78f. The location was fantastic right in the center of rome most very thing we wanted was within walking distance. Mehr
"Great Location, Great Service"
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and were very happy with our stay. The hotel is right in the middle of everything... walking distance to most sights. Our room was a little on the small side and the AC unit was not very good... but overall, a great hotel
"Close to everything"
The hotel is located close to the center of Sorrento, the only concern I had was the comfort of the beds. Beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, showers were also very strange, and I felt it would be hard for someone older to get in and out of the tub to take a shower. Dangerous. Otherwise, hotel was great, clean and near everything.
"Close to sights but..."
Thin walls... a baby next door kept me up all night. Tiny showers but very clean. The problem, value for money. At a lower rate I would stay again. Walking distance to most therefore I would recommend.

"Cosmopolita Hotel, Rome, Italy"
Fantastic location, clean and comfortable, if small bedroom, good buffet breakfast. Worth the price for the location alone.
"Convenient Location, Spotty Service"
This hotel is in a very convenient location. The rooms are on the small side, and they are NOT soundproof. You can hear everything. If you're sensitive to that, then this is not the place for you. The service is on the spotty side. Most of the staff is helpful, with the exception of a few who are uninterested in helping the guests. If you are looking […] for a convenient, reasonable hotel for the money, it's an okay place to stay. Mehr
